In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Kairi's current predicament wasn't settling with her. Ienzo's departure didn't ease the teen's mind by no means. There was 'something' to look forward to, training with him, an actual heartless at that, but that wasn't enough to distract her knowing there was chaos going on in a distant world, Yen Sid's Tower. Axel was somewhere out there probably still posing alongside his co-workers; she couldn't call the Organization his companions, since he's siding with her to retrieve his heart. She rummaged the library in hopes to find something, anything to assist their own personal well-being, and the entire ordeal was draining her.
She was stuck in a fixated position walking in circles. On her way home, she found herself staring at the day's sky. Her eyes stared hoping she could see any stars in broad daylight and wishing she wouldn't watch one flicker out of the sky. She needed a way out of here; she couldn't just stand by so idly. Her patience had evaporated waiting on the island; the princess doubt she could do that again. Her fingers tightened with a handful of hair to use up her frustration with tension, while resisting from pulling her own hair out.
Self-consciously she knew she wasn't prepared to go home; she didn't need any of the committee members staring her down, while trying to decipher her mood and milk out information from her. Reiterating everything wouldn't make anything better. Taking a detour, she walked towards her little sanctuary in this world, the gardens. Along with sea-salt icecream, this place could easily alleviate any pain and any frustration. She knew she was almost there as a pair of moths fluttered in front of her.
There was something special about the garden. The garden started with a tall white iron archway opening to a maze of flowers and hedges. The sweet smell of flowers can be picked up a block of way, since there was so many. The gardens became home to the little butterflies and other little wildlings. Kairi hung around here at least once a day and even tend to the garden herself. What she loved about most was the daily phenomenon of a light trickling shower of light that will refreshen everything here.
Inhaling, she let out the bad energy once feeling her sanctuary bloom around her. Skipping the roses, the tulips, and the peonies, she followed an even sweeter smell to her favorite spot. The fragrances made her lax and sluggish as her gait slowed down, while following her memory and sense of smell.
The scent picked up until she saw a bushes of pale purple flowers near a stone marble bench. Although the bench chilled her arms, she could never get over the smell of lilac bushes. Closing her eyes, she leaned her head back as if to rest her eyes from the exhausting day. She managed to flee from a greedy heartless, got connected with another heartless who may not live from his mission, and now here.
"At least I can't say my life is completely uneventful..."
A tall, silver-haired man strode along the street, lost in thought. His path seemed directionless; as he passed by the garden gates he paused, turned to look back at the vine-wrapped archway, and with a bemused expression changed his course.
Setzer glanced downward at the gold wristwatch he had purchased at the store with Ink. As a side thought, he wondered if it would even work should he leave this world, as his previous two hadn't. He had bought nothing else, despite the insistence of the strange mercenary female serving as a personal shopper. However, he had bought Ink a dress in replacement of the one she had ripped. (Or he had ripped, according to her.) He had bought her two, in fact. The other gown he had slipped into her bag, likely not to be found until they had long since parted.
Setzer shook his head. He still held a conviction that women were mad. In any case, he seemed to have lost Ashe. Ever since leaving the shop he had been looking for her, but half-heartedly, as the town itself was equally enjoyable to wander about. The anthropomorphic people had taken a bit of getting used to, but after the duck triplets Setzer was less at odds with the strange demography of the town. He certainly liked the pleasant feel of the rest of it.
Entering the garden, Setzer's wrist fell back to his side. A slender eyebrow raised in disbelief. Where much of the rest of the town was in construction, beautiful in its own right by the hopes of the residents, it seemed this place had been lavished with attention. A grand fountain had already been restored, and the paths upon paths of flowers and shrubbery that he could see seemed to lace into a mosaic of flora. Setzer walked along quietly.
Ah, yes. . . I've always had a weakness for beauty, haven't I?
As he came around a bend, his violet eyes caught on something out of place. It took him a moment to realize the dark spot among the lilac flowers was a girl. She had reddish hair, and rested on a bench with her eyes closed.
Setzer stopped for a moment. The glint of a sinking sun against the young women and the marble made for a very pretty sight. He said nothing at first, and she didn't notice him.
"At least I can't say my life is completely uneventful. . ." she murmured.
Rather on a whim - and with a casual grin forming that she couldn't see, with her eyes closed as they were - Setzer moved forward. His cloak rustled and his boots clapped against the cobblestone so as not to startle her when he spoke.
"Hm, can't say I can, either," he mused aloud.
When he neared the bench he gestured towards the length of barren marble beside her. "May I?"

“Mmhm,” her head lifted up with curious eyes at the voice. She wasn’t surprised to see a stranger, since the voice was equally unfamiliar. Her eyes nearly widened and filled her sockets to the brink once seeing a handsome narrowed face man, another silverette. She swore such traits were rare, but they are building up in her memory bank. With the head full of spikey silver hair, he looked like an older Riku, but Riku wasn’t so….flamboyant.
Is that the word? No, Riku wouldn’t be caught dead clad with a purple sash tied around his waist. Actually she hardly ever saw him be formal in his attire. Maybe he would wear a dress shirt, but that cloak would be out of the question.
“There’s plenty of room,” her meek hand patted against the barren cold marble. At least they won’t be cold with the extra company. If she was left on her lonesome for too long, it would be hard to distinguish her from the bench as her own thoughts at away at her. Luckily with company, she had a reason to put it off and build a brick wall to distance herself; she wasn’t one to rub off her own poor vibes onto another.
“Since you agree, does that means yours uneventful now?” She turned her head to continue to watch and observe him; compared to others here, he didn’t quite fit in nicely to the puzzle of the norm natives to Radiant Garden, “And seeing how I never saw you before, I’m guessing you’re not from here.”
“Kairi,” she greeted with a smile and outstretched hand. For a while she had abandoned her alias, since even with a hidden name, her heart tells it all. Ruold was a lovely test guinea pig to explode that security bubble. The teen doubts anything as big as one’s heart would be so easy to mask from the outside world. Even if one tries to put up a front, they still wear their hearts on their sleeves; the fact they had to hide only reveals so much about them.
"Well, I wouldn't consider meeting you uneventful." He swept aside his cloak to take a seat beside the girl.
"Setzer. And no, I'm from, ah. . ." he paused for a moment, then continued with an elegant shrug, "Twilight Town. I wonder of the chances you've heard of it?"
His voice was particularly bland at the last words. Twilight Town - charming, some said. Small. He had known he was restless while he was there, since a vague memory of things much greater plagued him constantly. But it was only since arriving in the Gardens, as he was physically experiencing what a place could be like if it wasn't frozen in time, that he realized what he had been missing.
Setzer's hand withdrew from his pocket a gold coin. He flipped it, and as it spun sunlight scattered about the courtyard.
He looked up, the gloved hand shading his eyes. The sun was already beginning to plummet towards the horizon. Clouds caught its harsh red light, while from the newer portions of the castle bounced the sun's pleasanter tones, casting the evening into a golden haze.
"I must say I left the Town rather impromptu. . . truthfully, I've been stuck here since this morning. What about you, Miss Kairi? Are you from here? It's quite a pretty place."
The relaxing evening atmosphere had already brought a peaceful stupor upon Setzer's mind, and it didn't occur to him right then his query would come out as too personal. It was a thing he was normally quite considerate regarding, but in his present state his thoughts were elsewhere;
She doesn't seem too out of place here. And she's obviously comfortable with these gardens. If she's from here, she may know a place for me to spend the night.

A gasp of surprise extended into a chuckle with a beaming grin, “only if you insist.”
She must have looked daft with the soft flush on her face unprepared for a smooth talker complimented with the mannerisms of a dignified man. Given how her days were that truly illuminated her heart brighter than the morning’s dawn. Her mind already made up that she liked the guy already, since he knew how to make a warming entrance for a complete stranger. The worlds truly had its surprises and gems. Nope this was hardly uneventful.
“Twilight Town, yes I’ve been there before the previous year actually and know very few people there. It’s quite a quaint and humble sort of world,” she never saw a world drenched in ever-dusk. With the town fully engulfed and humming warmth, it gave a sluggish calmness about it. It would be a wonderful world for a retreat, especially once hitting and colliding with the chaos of the lack of world’s order across the galaxy. In its own way, it reminded her of the Islands, but it lacked its vibrant luster that made the islands so active and energetic even if the islands are small enough to walk about the entire terrain in a day. Speaking of Twilight Town, when there was time to spare, she should visit Hayner, Pence, and Olette…someday…eventually.
If hearts could squeal hers nearly did at the nice ring to Miss Kairi; it put an entire different spin on her name versus merely Kairi, the islander girl who fell out of the sky…or better yet a shipwreck; Kai, that young at heart innocent red-head spotted around with her two best male friends, Princess of Heart a radically pure figure that exalts to heights of royalty, light, good, and almighty Kingdom Hearts, and The one closest to the key, which brings on an entire different set of connotations. At least with Miss Kairi flowing from his lips, it gave a simplistic projection of a mere lady, Kairi in her own natural state without influence of the worlds around her.
“Uum,” she giggled at her own hesitation, since the repetitive reply to that question was getting old, while not getting any easier to explain without elaborate details, “That’s the funny thing. It’s a yes and no; I was born here, had a life here, and I hardly remember it. But long-ago this world fell, and I grew up somewhere else, Destiny Island.”
Self-consciously, she reached up to pull her hair back behind her ear. Even if she tried to seem like a normal person, her life as a whole even from the beginning was hardly normal at all, “Hehe leave it to me to be an oddity, since I guess it’s not that common to literally be from two worlds. Although I don’t remember much about this place in my past, I do remember the gardens. I think at one point…it even glistened. Weird, right?”
Setzer listened curiously to her talk of Twilight Town. Apart from the fiasco a while back, in which a crew of 'explorers' crash landed in the peaceful world, he had noticed few people come and go in the years he'd lived upon it. Then again, he'd somehow missed the time when rumored keybladers had actually entered the endless twilight of his resident town.
It occurred to him that the year she mentioned would coincide with that very one. Perhaps he had just been too self absorbed to notice. One girl wouldn't seem so different from the hordes, there. Here was a different matter.
Kairi's train of thought switched rails. Where Setzer had been gazing off into the horizon moments before, when she began to speak his eyes slowly turned in her direction, until his violet eyes were trained on hers in curiosity. His thoughts had been inexplicably scrambled as he came to the realization that no, she wasn't an oddity - she was just like him. If he'd asked himself the same question, he probably would have responded the same way. Yes and no. Heads or tails.
Except that she could remember the Gardens. The thought didn't make him bitter, just museful.
"Weird in a matter of speaking. Certainly all very curious. Conveniently, someone had been telling me about how this world had fell. It is strange, isn't it, you can remember the Gardens as they were beforehand, but can't remember your life?"
The words hung in the air with a touch of melancholy, but Setzer's cool grin was slowly broadening nonetheless, a new thought forming at his tongue. "Ah, but to know and have seen the different worlds must have been a fantastic experience. How do you get about them, anyway? My arrival here. . . well, in honesty, I'm still a bit confused by the whole affair. Not that I particularly mind. When things fall, they fall!"

If anything about this world that bothered her was her lack of memory of it. It brough a sense of guilt to hardly have recollection of her genuine blood-bound relatives. The only glimpse she have of them is her grandmother. Surely they all had lived on this world, since she hadn't ran into any studies declaring otherwise of an exodus of people from one world to another. It's as if in some form she'd committed mutiny for not remembering, but she couldn't find much room to blame herself. She was only five or so when she appeared on the islands, and who would want to remember their world falling apart? She didn't want to be possessed and haunted by the storms that ensared the islands not to long ago.
No wonder why she lingered here, to be reconnected as much as she could, while forging new relations and new memories to go by. Also as soon as she got off of this world, she can make more of them.
"Oh traveling between worlds? Well there's multiple ways; there's the reliable gummi ship. If I remember correctly it's made out of the borders that once seperated the world. With worlds falling and what not, it means their barrier been broken beforehand. I hitched a ride here via gummiship, and I totally need to get one of my own. There's also the realm of darkness, but I wouldn't advice that to anyone. After all the usage of darkness caused all of this, I doubt it would be wise to go running into it."
Her legs started to swing to and fro, while contemplating,"I wonder who even have one here. One that they'd let me...borrow, because I really want to get out there. I heard there's a world with DRAGONS on them, and they all seem so endless."
Her mind drifted to a familiar mechanic, who's been working on a specific aircraft. Surely leaving a note with a smiley face and flying away with it, would give her a lot of leadway to not be prosecuted then crucified for taking it. Then again, she knew enough about the world, being apart of the committee and all.
So I guess this is where the Princess of Heart title comes in handy. If she had to bear the burden of it, at least she get to bask in its benefits.

It was a question that Ienzo had been exploring since he left the Tower, along with the irritation that he couldn't meet the wizard. Was it ever about control over the tower at all? Did Ansem really think that he could best Yen Sid? Whatever the creature's thoughts, it didn't matter now. Ienzo couldn't help any further. He hadn't managed to separate them enough to do any damage. Perhaps that was his real irritation.
Worthless, really. He had gone there to redeem himself and left running away, without a single accomplishment to speak of. Now what was he supposed to say to Kairi? That he had failed horribly? That despite his good intentions he still disappeared like a coward when he couldn't get a clear shot? Some badass he was... The shadow growled as he found a good spot to materialize, and pulled his essence into form in Radiant Garden. The Claymores activated immediately, scouring the area for Heartless, but fortunately for him the dark jacket zipped halfway up his chest protected his darkened Heart from letting off too much of his real metal. They inevitably collected themselves and closed as the figure banished the oil from his shoulders with short flicks, moving his mess of hair to the side. Why was it that every time he went through there it felt like the oil stayed, despite its disappearance? He sighed. Now felt like a good time for a long, relaxing shower.
Movement through the town was relatively easy. He kept his head down when passing any remotely important figures, whether it be Scrooge at his shop, Cloud, who seemed to like the gardens, or the RGRUC- but luckily they had been rather quiet as of late. The only real protection was from the computer program- Ienzo could hardly ever remember its name. But the Claymores did their job. They kept the Heartless out. Ienzo wondered if they kept the Dark XII out, but he felt that he would know eventually. How long would it take before they were sent out to hunt him down? He sighed and closed his eyes, sending his vision into the shadows. He put his hand against a wall and attempted to find his... friend? Were they friends yet? He kind of wanted to believe it, but at the same time he felt it would be way too hopeful- he wasn't a stranger to pain and miscommunication. In his eyes she might enjoy his company, but in hers, perhaps she felt bad just being around him. He didn't want to put anybody into an uncomfortable situation. Her presence surfaced in the gardens and Ienzo smiled slightly.
He missed Note. However possible it was for a Heartless to miss anybody.
With the feeling of nostalgia and slight anxiety he diffused into the shadows, resurfacing in the shadows of the iron arch. The sun filtered through his dark hair, making it flicker silver as he walked towards her and a man he had never seen before. Or... had he? He couldn't remember listing the man in his data. Perhaps he was just never a big deal, but either way it didn't matter. Ienzo would meet him now, and perhaps later he would write some information on him. He waved as he approached, his grim expression relaxing after a rather depressing mission. "Hey Kairi," he said, hoping he wasn't interrupting anything. "Didja miss me?"

Setzer could shoot that option down instantly, he most certainly hadn't gotten here in a vessel of any sort. Couldn't have been these Corridors of Darkness, though, could it? Or even some other strange way? He wouldn't put it past this strange new universe to host a trick set of its own.
His back straightened and he brushed out the folds of his cloak. For some reason the lull of the afternoon was dissipating, replaced by some new energy. "Well. I certainly wouldn't mind accompanying you to look for a ride, if that's what you are searching for now. I may or may not be requiring one myself."
A man walked then through the archway and across the gardens towards them. Setzer rose a silver brow, but lifted his hand and waved lazily back. He glanced at Kairi for a moment curiously. However, his gaze quickly clipped back to the oncomer, and a strange tingle of trepidation tickled his neck.
"Hey, Kairi. Didja miss me?"
A gentleman nonetheless, Setzer rose to his feet and stepped from the marble bench to give the man room to sit. There was plenty there anyway, but for an odd reason he felt it both more comfortable and more appropriate he stood. He declined his neck briefly to the man upon eye contact. "You have had the pleasure of meeting this lovely lady before, then?"

"Okay," she smiled, "I've hitched a ride here when I came, but I would love the sea space again, the sea of stars, worlds, and I guess some spare gummi parts that just floats about it. Can you pilot?"
This was going well in regards to getting out of here; not only was she mentally prepared, but she had everything set up even the little letters of farewell she would drop off to those she couldn't see personally. She could drop off to see Kuu, but after knowing what was going on in Yen Sid's tower, she didn't want to linger her to long and hook herself to not want to leave due to the new ties she forged. There was one set for Yuffie, Riku and Sora if they every come to visit the world, Kuu, and Reno.
Unfortunately she had troubles tracking down Reno within Radiant Garden of all places. He was surely one who'd she rather say goodbye to in person, since he was the first she told nearly everything. One can say she somewhat imprinted on him. Yes Yuffie was always there, but the ninja was always busy, which caused her to be a bit more off her rocker than necessary.
So her plan was set: say her goodbyes, leave, and have Ienzo and Axel find her along her travels to keep in touch. Neither of them knew of her connections with the other, but she knew that she couldn't keep them to herself with their respective group would be expecting activity and input from them. Odd how she didn't hesitate after saying 'yes' to them without knowing the dangerous game she could be playing. She could very well have twenty two people aiming at her for deterring one of their own from their posts, duties, and beliefs.
Her thoughts were lifted with a call of her name, speak of the devil.
"You have had the pleasure of meeting this lovely lady before, then?"
He was alright, back in one piece,"...you're back."
She nearly spaced out seeing him in good health as good as a Heartless could be while opposing his own crew, "Oh yes Ienzo this is Setzer. Setzer, Ienzo."
[STYLE=float: left; font-family: arial; font-size: 54px; color: #242424; line-height: 48px; margin-right: 3px; padding: 15px 0px 0px 0px;]H[/style][STYLE=width: 320px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 11px; color: #575757; padding: 16px 10px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;]e nodded. "Yeah, we're somewhat familiar." So the light-haired one was Setzer. No, Ienzo had never met him. "Just came to deliver some news." He looked to Kairi and frowned slightly. He didn't know exactly what had happened after he disappeared into the Corridors, but it couldn't have been good. He kept rewinding it in his mind- could he have done anything else? Just splitting them up didn't do as much good as he'd hoped, and it was his intentions to kill at least one of them. Taking down the Dark XII would have to be done over time.
He looked between the two and sighed. Since his Awakening he had always belonged somewhere. With the Heartless, with Note, anywhere. But now he was drifting between Light and Darkness like a pathetic Dusk. Of course he was here in Radiant Garden, in a stronghold, but things weren't going as well as they could for his liking. If only they had more people to plan with, to defend with. He wished that he could speak to her right now. He wished he knew what a hero would feel like at this moment. Because right now he was wondering... Were they pushing to win a losing battle? He leaned against a bush unsuccessfully, but did his best to manage. "But yeah, I thought I'd stop by and say hello, check on how things were going, et cetera." He closed his eyes, enjoying the fair weather and nature of Radiant Garden. "And I guess I'm here to figure out where I go next." He grinned. "So what do you do for a living, Setzer?"
[/style]
[STYLE=float: right; font-size: 50px; color: #242424; margin-left: 6px; margin-right: 5px;]❞[/style][STYLE=font-family: arial; font-size: 11px; color: #242424; text-align: right; text-transform: uppercase; line-height: 8px; margin-top: 70px;]until i viewed it in black and white[/style]
As this Ienzo character approached and talked, Setzer's nerves, rendered tranquil by the peace of the afternoon, began to wind tight with a mysterious agitation. He considered the man. The feel about him was unlike anything Setzer had experienced in Twilight Town, and only once with Ashe here in Radiant Garden. But this person looked nothing like the little dark shadow creatures. Setzer considered asking who, or what, he was - but considering his limited knowledge of these worlds and his own personal carriage, such a query would be much too rude.
Instead he answered Kairi's question first. "Yes, as a matter of fact, miss, I can pilot."
The thought swept the foreboding from his heart again and replaced it with some odd feeling. Setzer had never flown in Twilight Town, and gummi ships must be far from anything he was once used to, so he couldn't imagine what bid him to answer affirmative to that question. But some hazy memory recalled wind in his hair, his cloak billowing about the back of his legs, a feminine shout, great creaks of some airborne vessel. . .
He turned to Ienzo, next, considering. What he did for a living? It depended on what life he was referring to, didn’t it? “You could say I’m a gambler by trade,” Setzer replied with a laugh that sounded hollow to him, but hopefully wasn’t remarkable to Kairi’s ears. It was true. In the short time he was in Twilight he had won money from entering competitions, betting on himself or others his keen eye picked out, and promptly reaping the rewards. The Town had also offered modest compensation for hosting an event or two. Showmen were few and far between in that community.
But by the time his laughter trailed off he had decided to be more honest, if only for the lady's benefit. “I believe I was once a pilot. . . but, ah, I can no longer remember.”
Setzer adjusted his cloak, vivid eyes dashed aside for a moment, eyebrows drawn, as he spared a moment to hush the demanding clamor of the blurred memories. Once his mind was clearer and quiet he looked back at Ienzo again. "We were just considering how to take our leave of this world," he said. Graciously he added, "If the lady wills, you are more than welcome to accompany us."
