Arlene where thin long blades on her finger tips, ten in total. They can easily been removed and used as darts. The darts are retrievable with using her thunder manipulation.
Arlene affiliates with the element of thunder. She uses it very effortlessly, while it’s strongly connected to whatever mood she’s in. Also Arlene is a shifter supplying multiple forms. The innate forms she have now are produced by overpowering versus being crafty and creative.
- Nyx's Nest: Ripping a whole of darkness, shadows erupt from the seems to feed on hearts. These are mainly used for distraction purposes, since they are weak little buggers.
- La Muses: With a whistle, she can summon up to 8 Yellow Operas. Beware of them, because they are fast, and together that can fuel Arlene to enter her "Sprite Form".
- Maenads: A silent calls brings forth up to 6 Sniper Wilds/Bouncy Wild to use their superb aim on Arlene's opponent.
- Bacchus' Dance: With a whistle, she can summon up to 6 Darkballs, which she likes to call balloons. Beware of their attacks and destroy them quickly, because they can fuel Arlene to enter her "Shadowed Form".
- Iapetus: Iapetus summons atmost 3 Invisibles/Orcus to fight alongside Arlene. Similar to the Darkballs they can trigger Arlene's "Shadow" phase, but it can occur much quicker with the stronger Invisibles than the Darkballs.
: These are Arlene specific Hearltess of her choice, and being the heartless closet to her, they can be called upon whenever she pleases, even during her waiting duration of 'resummoning'. The only difference is that the amount of Thanatos that appear during the intermediate wait decrease to 1 compared to the usual 4.
They, the Thanatos, look like rodents, but they have the lithe and behavior of a feline. Their darkness coat their pelt in a deep black with tufts of yellow fur along its back and up its attennas. They all have a pair of expressive bulbous yellow eyes. In short, they are cute little things, but a pain in the neck. They can wander on their own just fine, but like most heartless, they tend to hunt together in a colony.
Similar to their mistress, they are aligned with the element of thunder, which they can supply to power Arlene's Sprite mode and unleash against opponents.
-Snap: Opening its mouth, it can release a bark that paralyzes close opponents for a post.
- Crackle: Crackle is an attack typically caused by a melee attack, which powered by crackles of thunder.
- Pop: Their attennas glows brightly as they run producing bubbles of electricity. Touching one sends them all popping like contagious bubble wrap.
Forms:: {H}umanoid! -- This is a typical look Arlene strolls in clad in hardly anything. She finds it fashionable to wearing leather undergarments exposed with a belt to even call them 'normal attire'. If anyone objects she would declare that she is covering up with her third quarter jacket which only pins close above bust. Regardless of objections, she could care less for anyone's opinions and literally do the wrong out of spite to emphasize she can do whatever she wants when she pleases.
The rebellious attitude leaves on her stripped soaked bunched up, while the other clings up her thigh. She also lazily refuses to strap up the rest of her high boots finding it unnecessary work to do.
Ironically she would put more effort in her face than her own clothing. The eyeliner must be precise, and the mascara must be thick to show off her lashes. Her eye shadows must be dusted on neatly; her hair pulled back fashionably and bound by a black ribbon. (167)
{H}eartless! -- Sinking deep into darkness and amplifying the darkness in her heart, Arlene can clothe herself in a bog of shadows altering her into this. Her aesthetics is more parallel to her look-a-like and her other half, Larxene.
Her weaponry, the claw darts, mends with her fingers replicating the clawed fingers of neo-shadows. Her eyes illuminates a bright yellow like typical heartless. In this form, her sensory is increased by a tenfold when it comes to heart detections with her jagged antennas. Her skimpy clothing is replaced with a cloak like attire that ends right below her crotch.
As a shadow, she lacks her weaponry and relies more on her darkness; also it's quite difficult for Arlene to shift back to norm when this beserk mode. (122)
+ Increased in Strength and Agility
+ Graviga - Forces her opponents on the ground for 3 posts.
+ Shadows- She can make up to 3 duplicated 'shadows' of herself.
+ Erobus - She can cloak the scene in darkness for up to 4 post giving her a momentary advantage.
+ Tarturus- By grasping a hold of a victim, she can open their hearts to darkness. One can be at risk for turning into a heartless themselves.
{S}prite! Sprite is a berserk mode of Arlene when over powered, which can occur when her element is fueled by rage, contact with immense electrical source, or contact with water. Adorned in black, the rimmings are luminous neon yellow. A helmet covers her face as her body produces numerous amounts of sparks. Also the abundance of electricity formed long removable whips from her helmet.
This mode is hard to die down due to the stimulation that had caused it. (78)
Innate Skills:
+ Evasiveness: Do to her haste with berserk heartless, she can be quite evasive to attacks.
+ Elves: Grasping her whips (elves), they turn red and become a deadly extension causing Thundaga and Firaga. She cannot use Elves and her claws at the same time.
+ Asteria: Levitating in the air, Arlene begins to change from yellow to blue. She begins spinning and summons blue comets of lightening from the clouds.
+ Sprites: With her yellow trimmings turning red-orange, Arlene can eject eletrical fingers similar to a plasma globe. This form of thunder can cause both thunder and fire damage, since on contact it erupts flames. Sprites die down after 4 posts.
Personality:Arlene can be summarized in one word
, a bitch, yet there are enough spectrums of her to throw someone off hence being a manipulator. It's all of a matter with what kind of person cross her would depict what side of Arlene would emerge. In short, everything is a game to see how much she can twist and push someone, and to do so, one would need to be well-verse in many roles.
With a bat of her large expressive eyes and smile, she can come off as a nice individual who can come off as shy damsel looking for friend, or with a sway of hips, she can be a vixen. Either way Arlene would find a way to fit whatever role that would fit the oppurtunity to cover the sadistic monster she is, while they are nothing but lab rats and a tool. Underneath heavy fabrication is an opinionated, self-centered, devious sadistic fey. Like a fairy, she can be a lure of coming off nice, who would only enjoy to backstab. She always had a sadistic wonder to see how much can she twist people.
Around her comrades such as the Dark XII, she still will play her 'roles' for fun, but won't hesitate to show her true colors. With her sharp tongue she can cut someone down with blunt and sarcastic remarks as she looks down on others. Also one may easily see where they stand with her, since she doesn't take too many people seriously or give them her respect, well except Big Daddy, Ansem. Also Arlene is capable of genuinely being playful with her Dark XII comrades, even if her sense of fun means pulling a prank, raining on someone else parade, or cause someone else pain.
Being one with lightening, she does have a fiesty fiery persona. No, she doesn't neccessarily pick fights, but she loves to poke buttons to infuriate and tease; only then would she decide to indulge herself to fight and the pleasure of someone else's pain to feed her sadistic cold nature. Still all and all no one can hardly grasp what Arlene truly is or how she truly was; that was always something that was kept in the closet.
Original World: ? ? ?
Current World: The World That Never Was, and wherever she pleases.
History:A simple question comes to mind in regards of Arlene as well as her counterpart Larxene "how could any person become so cold and embrace the notion of not simply caring of individuals, while absorbing a sadistic mannerism?"
At one point a strong heart can become injured so badly that darkness had an open invitation. Such event and details are something kept secret and away from all prying eyes. Arlene once was a strong person with giving heart; at one point there were such things as rainbows and sunshine, but the sky turned grey, and her heart became as dark as coal. Having a heart had a painful price, all the emotions that comes with vulnerability can leave on scarred. Darkness was her escape route, and without knowing too much about it, it felt comforting, and she permitted it to let it have its way with her and corrupting her heart.
Hell hath no furry as a woman's scorn, and this rebirth brought havoc to the worlds around her. With the power she obtained, Arlene knew she was never going to go back to where she has been and fully turned her back on her previous life and walked forward. In a sense one can believe that what was done to her, she does unto everyone else, and the more power she got from learning, the more she had evolved including her ego.
How would it feel to be on the other side of things, to be the one that hurts than the one to get hurt? It was an empowering evolution, which only was a bigger perk as a heartless, because crumbling a heart was easy bait. Although simple hunting was fun as well as being the source of fear and the manipulator of endless possibilities, it became a bore with the lack of interior motives. They were just ordinary people amongst the world; there was hardly anything to gain accept amusement. Sure a girl can use a laugh every now and then, but she had a craving for more. In her past she didn't have much, and so she was going to grab everything she wanted.
Being a heartless she had roamed the worlds, but what woke her up from her obliviousness was the little whisperings of the phenomenon. Worlds were disappearing; others like her, but more primal were abundance. Such attention made her curious and she ventured to hear more and follow the rumors as people from foreign worlds began to populate others rather quickly. Being inquisitive, she began to stalk some of the rumors to find something worthwhile only to hear a little ring about an abundance of power, a heart. Yes as a heartless she was well verse with what they are and what they can do, but supposively there was a bigger fish in that big sea, the heart of all things. Now for any heartless that was a tempting calls to find, but there was another part to it. Such thing has already been sought out, and everything seems to go back to the norm with a boy and a keyblade. From all of her roaming, she never saw a keyblade, but hearing how it tend to destroy anything in its path gave her a quiver.
She must know more, and it seems her silent prayer has been answered; it seems such things had captured another interest, a strikingly handsome heartless going by Ansem. From his behavior, she got a feel that he wasn’t one to walk over and twist, and it seemed this wasn’t an opportunity to fling away and pass by. Curiosity called her to accept and follow him to this world called The World That Never Was.
Role Playing Sample: In her dull bed, in her dull room, the sadistic fey lounged across it arching over the bed's edge with her stomach exposed. Her head was lolled to the side like a dead carcass as her eyes stared out blankly at nothing. For a while she's been waiting on what to do before she indulge herself with casual plays and hunts like hearts and keyblade hunting.
The only thing that indicated life was her humming and a casual twitch of her foot. All good things goes to those who can wait; she rolled her eyes backwards as she exhaled heavily.
"I've been thinking flowers...pre'ty daisies would lighten up room," she sang softly to herself in a meek tone, "Don't you think that flowers pre'ty daisies...might relieve the gloom. Wait"
Hearing that word come for her mouth out loud made her eyes rolled in annoyance. She snorted as her eyes glared at the door before to the hallway, "Wait my pretty ass."
Her arms stretched out to catch herself as she descended backwards. Once they were stable, she flipped herself over landing on her feet. She posed like a gymanist at her physique and poise; with a bow, she turned on her toes and looked at the door.
"Show time," her lips smiled with a giggle as she forced the door opened with a bang. "MYYYYYYYYYYYYDE!"
If she was going to be bored, she might as well disturb the peace and wake everyone up, "ISAAAAAAA, Le-..."
She hushed herself as a devious smile spread on her face. With the use of the dark corridors, she was able to invade others privacy stealthy as she took on of Lea's socks and stuffed in Isa's mouth. She never reappeared in the castle until she was balancing on the banister rails. "WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BACKEY...because I'm bored as...hell."
Eyes blinked hearing someone slam a door, and swiftly she fell in the dark realm only to reemerge on the sofa of the common ‘family room’, if one would even begin to call this a family. Flattening the ruffles out of her jacket, Arlene prepared to poise herself before tossing herself along the couch on her stomach. There she was lying as if she was preoccupied, while feigning innocence to whomever she had awakened. Her foot began to wiggle to a rhythm as she hummed before speaking with a soft youthful voice, “Good mooorning sleepy head.”
“Cut the crap Arlene,” was all she got in return.
She sat up with a pout before dropping the baby tone for a moment, “you really don’t have to be so grouchy.”
The bed hair she saw was a hot mess, which went along perfectly with a glare.
“You know babe all of that would leave wrinkles in your face…,”Arlene started as she got up slowly and walked towards the ‘non-morning person’, “and that’s soo not hot.”
Pushing his chest, she opened a dark portal. With a snap of her finger, a single thunder bolt shock her comrade awake as she skipped inside laughing at the angered yell.
