In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Vayne sat on the steps near the Accessory Shop, thinking back over the events of his life. He'd been so fortunate to find people he could trust and who cared for him when he'd arrived here. It had been such a wild ride... And he'd met so many new people, it made his head spin.
And then there's Note...
That thought made Vayne both warm and sad at the same time. Note had said he had to leave for a place called "Radiant Garden"... wherever that was.
Thinking of leaving Traverse Town made Vayne think of how he'd left his home, as well.
Is it even still around? Are all the people there gone now? So many questions, and no one has the answers for me...
Vayne's ears flattened, and he teared up a bit. He missed home dearly. He missed his friends, and he missed his surrogate mother, Eliana. Xaoc was somewhere... visiting one of the shops, but he couldn't remember which.
Even though they took my home from me... I can't really bring myself to blame the Heartless for it... I can't even get angry about it...
She walked out of the shop, looking around. Where was Vayne... Vayne was...
Ah, over there, in front of the Accesory shop. She walked over. "Hey otokun." She knealed in front of him. "Got the potions. Hey... You okay?" Vayne had this extremely sad look on his face.
"Am I normal?"
"Vayne, what are you thinking about? What's wrong?"
It was supposed to be something along the lines of a 'pitstop'.
But the androgynous, emerald-haired soldier knew: distractions were out of his hands. He promised his crew that they would only be stopping to get groceries and supplies for the ship, but they couldn't promise him not to dawdle off and waste time.
"We're not gonna be there more than an hour," he had stated, a stark, authoritive tone apparent in his voice. Ever since he had become a "captain" - a title laced with a bit of ingenuity, because he was self-appointed - he had become a lot more self-assured about himself. Perhaps clearer than ever before.
Helena, Legato, Falsetto and Anil all looked somewhat hopeful and exuberant ... childishly so. He wasn't quite sure whether to treat their expressions as looks of relief or looks of anticipation - he had certainly hoped it was the former, considering that anticipation was often a precursor to what he had feared in the first place ... dawdling.
Two full bags of fruit, vegetables and other assorted foods pinned under his arms, Leiz swerved in between a few clusters of townsfolk heading down a flight of stairs. Leaning just a bit too much off to one side, one of the bags tilted, and out slipped a baguette, nearly hitting the concrete steps if not for a certain obstruction - a peculiar boy with cat-ears. The baguette collided with his head softly and painlessly, rolling off to the side as it did.
"Crap. ... keep it," the green-haired boy mumbled, stopping only for the briefest of moments to get a small glimpse of the catboy and an adjacent girl with wild, crimson-black hair.

Vayne shook his head and perked his ears. This was the second time he'd said something to worry Xaoc...
Someone's walking on my grave...
He could still remember the odd sensation, as though all the warmth and happiness had been drained from the universe for the briefest of moments. Still, whatever it was wasn't important enough to bother his big sister with.
"Nya~" Vayne mewled cutely, trying his darnedest to make it look like he was okay. "I'm fine, Onee-chan..."
Vayne's ears flicked a bit as he felt someothing bounce off his noggin and into his lap.
"Crap. ... keep it."
Vayne turned around to see a strange man with emerald green hair looking at him and Onee-chan. Next to blue, green was Vayne's absolute favorite color. So, of course, he jumped up and ran over to the man.
"Excuse me, sir," Vayne said, "but I believe you dropped this." Vayne smiled , his eyes closing, and flicked his ears. This man didn't seem bad. After all, he had been willing to let Vayne keep the baguette...
"My name is Vayne," he said, sticking out one of his hands. "It's nice to meet you, Mister..."
She turned around. There was a ... Guy? Girl? ... Going with guy, he was flatter than her. He had lost a pastry on Vayne's head. She narrowed her eyes slightly, giving him a once over. Then he was walking, telling Vayne to keep the baked good. Vayne, being the polite boy that he was, ignored this, and chased after him. She followed. The guy seemed nice, after all, he had given Vayne that... what was that? Whatever, it didn't matter. "Yeah, who are you? That's a pretty nice thing to do, give some random person food."

Still walking away, the boy didn't quite stop until they were near one of the lamp posts out in the square. Turning around and disregarding the younger male's handshake, Leiz shook his head, quite obviously occupied with two bagfuls of food in his arms. If it were any lighter, his tanned complexion would have made him blend in quite nicely with the warm glow of the lamp's light.
"You're gonna have to take a raincheck on the handshake," he quipped, gesturing subtly at the two bags that his arms were wrapped around. Pausing momentarily, Leiz began to fully digest the words that had been spoken, putting him somewhat at unease.
"Don't take it the wrong way. The stick fell outta the bag, hit the guy's head, now his grease and bugs are all over it. We're not exactly in the middle of a famine, so I can be picky. ... but if you want to see it as a gesture of kindness, go right ahead. Doesn't hurt me any. Leiz, by the way."
Vayne blinked, looking at the bags in the man's arms, and laughed a bit. How did he miss those?
"Well, if I can't get a handshake from you..." Vayne said mischievously, then grabbed one of the sacks o food. "... then the least I can do is help you carry this stuff." Vayne back-pedaled a couple steps to avoid the man lashing out to reclaim the bag or try to bop him for such a brazen move.
Vayne's ears twitched. He could already tell that he was gonna get along with this guy... even if he was also gonna get on his nerves.
"So, which way were you headed with these?"
Vayne was excited. There was just something in the air around this Leiz person that made Vayne expect an adventure... Kinda like when he first met Xaoc, Lea, Alicia, and... Note.
We'll see each other again soon, Note... I promise.
Vayne slipped in, and nabbed a bag, dancing quickly out of reach. He was determined to be helpful, no matter how annoying it would be. She giggled slightly. "Don't mind him, dude. He's always just so sweet."
Leiz, huh?
"Well, Leiz, I'm Xaoc, and this is Vayne, my little brother."
An annoyed twitch took hold of the male's eyes as the catboy forcefully yanked one of his bags, taking it into his small arms. Not wanting to tear the bag open, there wasn't any way that Leiz could have possibly resisted ... and now his food was being held hostage by a weird kid with cat ears.
"... sweet? Hey, dumbass. Give that back or the only way I'm headed is a foot up your ass!" he exclaimed, his somewhat husky, light voice taking on a hoarser tone. He demanded the boy to return it with an outstretched left hand, expecting it back almost immediately.
"Oh, this is just great. Can't make a pitstop for grocery shopping in Traverse Town without some creepy cat-eared kid and a flat-chested girl intervening," Leiz thought, an obvious grimace plastered on his face as he looked between the two. Looks like the distractions found him instead.

"Touch a single hair and I'll give you an orchiectomy with my bare hands," Alicia growled, walking calmly past the green haired boy. She had been wandering around again, and she happened to notice the small scene between Vayne and the boy. "foot up his ass"....Alicia would simply love to see what Xaoc had to say to that. Alicia placed a hand on her hip, looking at the boy with a strange look. In a way, he was like Vayne - cutely girly. "Of course...that would only work if you even have it..." And Alicia snorted to herself.

"... sweet? Hey, dumbass. Give that back or the only way I'm headed is a foot up your ass!"
"Touch a single hair and I'll give you an orchiectomy with my bare hands,"
Oh, an exchange of threats, how swell.
"Hi Alicia," she said, giving the Chaotic a smile. She kept that smile on her face as she turned back to Leiz. "My little brother wishes to help you carry your groceries, my freind. I'm sure that such a nice thing from such a sweet boy inspires thankfulness in you. Right?" she said in her sweetest honey voice. A few sparks of red drifted lazily up her body as she spoke, and her black aura appeared momentarily as she let her power show.
The green-haired boy rolled his eyes at the mention of the word 'orchiectomy', only taking a small glance at the newcomer. Thinking very little of her, he subsequently looked at 'Xaoc', noticing the strange sparks of crimson electricity running up her body. Leiz was, in a few words, unimpressed and unphased.
"No. I didn't ask for help, and I don't want help. If you want to help me out, the best you could do is honor my threat, hand back the bag and be on your way," he explained, looking between the three individuals with an indifferent expression. Of course, this could not be further from the truth - Leiz had a slight feeling that he was underhanded at the moment. The catboy, based on his size, innocence and overall appearance, would be a threat most easily disposed of.
He couldn't say the same for Xaoc and 'Allie-kun'.
"I have things to do. I'm sure you understand," Leiz quipped, still gesturing for the bag to be returned to him.

Oh, Xaoc was pissed. "Hello Xaoc, Vayne-kun," Alicia said, inadvertently adopting Xaoc's nickname. Leaning on a pillar, Alicia eyed the boy, amused. Not many people stood up to someone as intimidating as Xaoc. Ah, yes, rusty spatula. This boy had guts. Vayne was still in a playful mood. Xaoc didn't shown any signs of getting to-go-down-on yet. "I have things to do. I'm sure you understand," The fun finished so quickly..
Vayne's ears flicked in playful contrition. He hadn't meant to make the Leiz guy upset... But he'd fallen right into Vayne's trap. Vayne walked over, pretending to be ready to hand over the groceries... then pulled back the bag and grabbed Leiz's.
"See?" Vayne said, shaking the hand enthusiastically. "Was that so hard? All of that fuss..."
Vayne offered him the grocieries, this time in earnest. He was still smiling at Leiz, even though he was sure that the man was probably pretty steamed by now. Vayne mentally prepped for the guy to yell at him.
