In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Lakuri was geting a little bored of simply waiting around the house for Kyriu. If he was alowed to go off by himself.... so was she... right? it wasn't like she was doomed to stay there forever. Also it wasn't like she was going do to wandering around any dangerous district, she wasn't that stupid.. she was just going to walk around in the first district!
This town seemed a lot diffrent to her without Kyriu by her side... and a bit scaryier.... although not quite as much as it used to be. She even knew her way around now! No more getting lost and finding out scary things... like the last time she went off by herself.
Lakuri had been walking around for a bit now, and decided that she could rest a bit.... nothing was going to happen today....
Lakuri decided to lay on her back accross a near by bench, looking up at the stary sky. "I wish Kyriu was here..." she sighed. she understood that the couldn't be together 24/7.... but that didn't mean that she didn't miss him a bit when they weren't right next to eachother.
Lakuri was getting slighty sleepy laying on the bench, so she flipped herself over to lay on her stomach, alowing her arms to fall of the edge of the bench onto th ground. She started to play with a few peices of loose pavement on the ground, till she got so bored that she closed her eyes.
She would have gone home..... but she really didn't want to get up at the moment... Hopefully nothing bad was going to happen....
Hopefully? Is that so? Well, in that case, it really wasn't Lakuri Syaoran lucky day. I mean, come on! Would you be glad to face a pissed young man with a flaming rage burning within his heart, waiting patiently to be released on a cute and innocent being? Yeah, I thought so. Learning about your best friend's death right before stumbling across a happy and peaceful aura wouldn't make your day either. Mikael Darrow was no exception, and he was feeling like shit.
Tightening his grip on the weapon's shaft, he kicked open the doors leading to the Third District, completely ignoring the startled looks of nearby bystanders. He didn't care about protecting people now; he just wanted Heartless blood, and he was going to get it one way or another. The soldier's death would not be in vain. His face remained blank, with a glimpse of anger and hate if one was to study him closely. But of course, nobody seemed to care about him and they simply stepped aside.
Yeah, they so didn't want a problem with him.
But he kept walking straight ahead, right until there was no one to be seen. A soft sigh escaped his lips just before he began shaking, not from fear but from desperation. He couldn't believe it yet... he just couldn't. Maxwell Tendas couldn't be... gone. Not now, when Mikael most needed his support. He shut his eyes close, trying to escape from this horrible and twisted reality. He wished that this was all a dream, just a dream he'd wake up from.
But it was not. This was pretty much real.
"Why?" he softly proclaimed, demanding an explanation. "..Why did you... HOW DARE YOU LEAVE NOW?!" Releasing an uncontainable rage, he threw Max's spear aside with force, thrusting it deep into the ground. Tears began to flow, kissing his cheeks as he looked down, turning toward the nearby wall. And without thinking, he sent his left fist right ahead, colliding with the concrete wall. It hurt, yes, but it couldn't be compared with the emotional grief he was undergoing.
He hit the think wall once again, his hand bleeding by now. Mikael sobbed; he wanted an explanation, he DESERVED an explanation. Suddenly, a small ebon creature emerged from the ground, analyzing its surroundings with a pair of round yellow eyes. Detecting it's presence, he immediately summoned his blade and charged toward the shadow, releasing a horrible battle cry as he intended to tear it apart. Luckily for the small critter, it managed to dodge the swift hits of the flaming sword and began to drag it's goddamned being away.
"Oh no... you're not getting a way you son of a bitch!" he dashed ahead, following the Heartless to its next destination... the bench where the maiden of pink laid down.

Lakuri had nearly dozed off on the bench, until she had heard somthing, it sounded like someones voice. She lifted her head to look around. She didn't see anything at first, which made Lakuri a bit confused.. what was that noise then? But then she saw a man chaseing somthing down the street towards her... it was a heartless!!! weren't they not sposed to be in this district!? as the two came closer the heartless almost seemed to speed up at the sight of Lakuri... great, not a heartless! Lakuri sat up and hoped it was too distracted by running from the strange man to notice her. Of course it wasn't. They seemed to be able to sense fear, and almost always went for Lakuri because she was so scared of them. Lakuri screamed and covered up her head with her arms. Then apon realizeing that this would.. in no way help her, she swatted the lungeing heartless away from her as she stood up. "Help!" She whined to the man that she knew was still there.
Right now, what Mikael wanted most was to slay that goddamned creature. His eyes were fixed on its shape as it drag itself across the street, attracted to an innocent and peaceful heart nearby. It knew it was being followed... or maybe not, but either way it just wanted a yummy and juicy heart in its fangs to make itself a friend.
Slowly snapping out of the mass murdering rage he had been cursed into, the pyromancer noticed they were running through a dim lighted street, making it easier for the shadow to hide and launch a surprise attack on him. Fortunately, the creature was distracted with someone else and it didn't bother to pay Mikael a minute or two of contemplation. After a few minutes they would reach a brighter zone of the First District, near the shopping area. God, he needed to kill that thing before someone else saw it. They would start to freak out like the other day the Behemoth and its friends decided to kill everyone.
The Heartless eyed a nearby bench, empty at first glance. However, Mikhail noticed the figure of a young maiden as she laid relaxing on her stomach. At first it seemed she was clueless about what was going on but she eventually realized that there was a shadow right in front of her wanting to rip her heart out of her body.
"Goddamnit!"
Mikael cursed under his breath, increasing the speed of his running to leap and save the girl from the wild spawn of darkness. She, on her own, managed to protect her face from its claws with her arms before hitting its head and pushing it away. What a perfect timing! Before the shadow could even realize what was going on, the pyromancer drew his blade and smacked him right on the face.
"Are you alright?" he asked, slowly walking toward the frightened maiden. Mikael could only hope that she had been unharmed in the encounter.

Maybe being outside is a bad idea... Lakuri thought at the heartless started to attack.
When she removed her arms away from her face however... she noticed somthing... The heartles was gone!!!! However, there was the same boy standing infront of her as was chaseing the heartless.
"Are you alright?" He asked her.
Lakuri nodded quickly, still a bit shaken by this."I'm alright." she said a bit shyly "Thank you so much mister, i had no idea that there was heartless in this district." she said while looking up at him since he was quite a bit taller then her.
He's kind of cute.... wait! bad Lakuri! you are NOT allowed to think such things anymore, bad girl! Lakuri thought, sort of spaceing out for a second, then snapped back.
Since she was a bit bored, Lakuri decied it might be interting to talk to this stranger. What could be wrong with that? He saved her from a heartless... and so far... anyone who did that was good news to her!
"What's your name mister?" she asked, useing her normal cute smile.
The girl seemed to be quite frightened due the previous event and Mikael was sure that the feeling would stay for quite a while. After all, she had been caught by the shadow off guard; not like she was expecting one of them to appear and try to rip her guts out. The best he could do was to approach her with caution trying to calm down her fears. He wasn't there to hurt her but to help her. Hmm... maybe he could even escort her back to her house? Yeah, that would definately make her feel better.
"I'm glad you are unharmed, it would be a tragedy to see yet another flower wither." Mikael smiled, trying to be as nice as possible to the maiden before him. Well, maybe he was being -too- nice but hey, who didn't want a compliment or two every now and then? The pyromancer shielded his sword in one of the scabbards he carried around his belt, where it waited to taste the enemy's blood once again.
Of course, this woman didn't seem to be so clueless about her surroundings... in fact, Mikael could swear he had seen her around once or twice under the midnight sun. But she was, as expected, surprised at the Heartless' stand in the First District. Apparently nowadays you could never be too safe. "Indeed, I understand your confusion. The recent Heartless attacks in this district have been quite unexpected and somewhat annoying to the world's citizens. They are now all over the place." Quite frankly, the pyromancer was concerned about the recent attacks in the First District. It wasn't common at all and it never used to happen before according to many of the citizens. He could sense something really bad was going on...
"What's your name mister?"
Dragged out of his deep thoughts of hopeful revelations, Mikael blinkblinked, turning to look at the girl once more. Her cute little smile sure caught him off guard and he was filled with an urge to just leap and hug her like there was no tomorrow. Fortunately, he had sufficient self-control to ignore such primitive impulses. Yeah, right...
"Oh? Uh... I'm Mikael, Mikael Darrow." A duel was going on inside his mind, trying to decide if he should bow or just offer his hand to shake. Fortunately for his integrity, he decided on the last one. "And what should I call this delicate flower?"
Post by Kuri, Queen of Feels on Sept 29, 2010 23:08:29 GMT -4
Lakuri was a bit confused when Mikeal refured to a flower whilting.... what was he talking about? There wasn't just flowers laying about traverse town as far as she could tell.
The information given to her about the heartless was nearly the opposite of what she wanted to hear. Dammit! Does the world just want me to stay with Kyriu all the time?! Now i even have to be careful of Heartless here!? This is rediculous! She thought.
Then apon hearing his name she got quite curious, his name sounded really cool, Mikeal.... sounded kinda pretty.
Lakuri imidiatly blushed when he made his second comment however. "Delicate Flower"? That was somthing she had never been called before.... way to make her feel a bit akward Mikeal! As much as she enjoyed the compliment... it still made her concider how she was acting, was she being bad agian? she honestly couldn't tell!!!
"M-my name is Lakuria, but most shorten it to Lakuri." she said and smiled, shakeing his hand.
"Sssooooo." She started agian, trying to keep this from going absolutly no where. "How long have you lived in Traverse Town?" she asked curiously. "I don't get out much, but i don't think i've ever seen you around."
"M-my name is Lakuria, but most shorten it to Lakuri."
Embarrassment's presence was evident on the maiden's cheeks, but she did not intended to walk away and end her conversation with the man. Really, Mikael shouldn't be "flirtling" with her as it sure felt wrong. You could say he was cheating on her... but was there really something between them? After all, he -was- officially a free man. Who said he couldn't be a bit "happy" around other women?
"Lakuria... a mysterious yet wonderful name. I'm honored." For some reason, this time he -did- bow. Awkward? It sure was. Slightly blushing, he looked away moments before she asked her next question. Mikael blinked, turning to look at her once more.
"Well, I've been living here for about four, five months... it's nothing compared to the time some people have been forced to spent here though." He paused, walking toward a nearby lamp post. His back was now facing the maiden's but he didn't intend to leave yet. "I arrived here following a light... it was pure and bright and it really made me happy. However... now it remains asleep within the heart of this town."
Jadis had been doing a good job in keeping the light safe, but Mikael couldn't relax with the thought of... that happening. He wasn't leaving Traverse Town without knowing the light had woken up; he really didn't care if she had feelings for him now or not. He wanted her to be happy and that would honestly be enough for him. After all, fire and water did not go together and neither did light and darkness. It was how the universe worked and Mikael would simply have to accept reality as it was.
"I'm curious, though..." he began, wanting to change the subject as he turned around to face her. "Why won't you go outside that often? Even though there have been a few Heartless breakouts recently, they're pretty rare around here."
Post by Kuri, Queen of Feels on Oct 2, 2010 15:43:32 GMT -4
Mikeal was acting quite strange to Lakuri. apon hearing her name he bowed..... what a strange boy. She also noticed that his cheeks seemed to turn slightly red; being how observant she was. I wonder whats going on with him, is he just crazy shy like Kyrii? She wondered and looked at him for a few more minutes No, I don't think so.... there must be somthing else going on with him..
She was snapped out of her little space out when Mikeal answered her question. Hmm... He's been here longer than I have.... even though I don't acctually know how long that even is.... feels like forever. But I'm pretty sure you've been here longer than me.... although I can't really remember how long its been..."
Lakuri blushed a bit when he had asked her why she didn'tgo outside much. She had no clue how to phrase this.
"Well.. I uh..." she said very embarassedly. "I live with my boyfriend around here.. and I usually try to stay around him..." she said trying to find somthing to look at away from Mikeal. "I only really go outside when he wants too... because he protects me from th heartless aroun here. But today I got really bored waiting for him so i decided to go off by myself today...."
"Oh..." was all he could say. Darn it, she was already taken by this "boyfriend" of hers. Oh well, there went another candidate flying away from his arms. Lakuria was sure beautiful and she had succeeded in captivating Mikhail's innocent mind. But that's how life is and there wasn't anything he could do to get her to like him the way he wanted her to like him.
...Right?
Still, her boyfriend was nowhere to be seen and Mikhail continue to have some fun with her by mere flirtling. Besides, she wouldn't be doing anything wrong by accepting a compliment or two. Or three, or four, or five... heh, she was sure getting a shower of them. The man could only hope she wouldn't freak out thinking he was some sort of stalker or something.
"I see... that's why. But I must say, a brave maiden such as you wouldn't have trouble with the Heartless. I don't see why you'd need a bodyguard of sorts... unless you decide to fall into a deep slumber every now and then." Mikhail chuckled, grinning at the girl. He was telling half a truth, since he did believe she could handle Lucifer's spawn for a few minutes. However, her heart was a delicious and easy prey for horde of them and she couldn't go wandering of alone... without a bodyguard to protect her.
"But for the time being, I shall join you in your stroll and protect you if needed. After all, we can't risk getting you harmed by their thorns." Yeah, way to be poetic. Even though flirtling wasn't his forte, Mikhail was trying his best... maybe a bit too hard. Lakuri would probably be uncomfortable with his words and try to make a hasty retreat.
However, the thought of Max's fate invaded him once more upon waking up from the apparent hypnosis. His expresion turned serious and dark once again upon realizing he was simply gone... another of the Heartless's victims. Hell, he could probably be already one of them as well. Mikhail would be forced to strike him down as well...
The man looked away, trying to recover his cocky attitude before turning to look at Lakuri once more. Now that he thought of it, maybe trying to hook up a one night stand wasn't going to be so fun after all...

( lolol what are you talking about? i love it XD it maded me giggle! oh Kuri, what have you gotten yourself intooo XD)
Lakuri blushed a bit hearing what Mikeal said... No, she really did need to protection from the heartless! she couldn't fight them... still. "No... I acctually do need someone to protect me... I can't fight the heartless." she said and gave him a sort of embarassed smile. Mikeal talks kind of funny... I wonder why." She thought, not really realising the flirty aspect to his speach.
Lakuri's cheeks only got more red as he proceeded to speak. That was very nice of him to want to protect her... "T-thank you Mikeal... i really appreciate it."
She then however noticed Mikeals attitude change and he looked away from her... Of course, typical kuri, moved herself infront of Mikeals veiw and looked up at him. "You don't look to happy.. Are you alright mikeal?" she asked, looking into his eyes with her own bright green ones. "You can talk to me if you want. I won't judge you." she said and smiled at him.
This had been the worst day ever. And It just got more and more annoying, especially since his left hand was injured. However things suddenly became quite interesting. In short on his way home after yelling at his ancestor for high jacking him once more he decided to head home. He was angry very angry....at the whole situation. Personaly he didn't like being angry...and after a while he just started feeling sad.
He was sure that Kuri wouldn't be happy about this so he decided to take a short cut home. He went thourgh the alley ways just to avoid anymore encounters, but however somehow...behind a perticular building he heard voices. He would have hurried off had it not been for the wind that passed over his head.
The breeze carried a familiar sent...one he knew better than anyone else. Now why was she out here? It Made sense right? Kyriu wasn't able to go near them, but he did press his ear to the building to hear what they were saying.
For some reason he could tell that Kuri wasn't alone. He continued to listen in on the converse..he was quite curious to know what Kuri was doing. The first part was good actually, oh he saved her whew...what a good guy...suddenly everything went down hill.
Nothing they said really bothered him.....but only one thing did though.
"No... I acctually do need someone to protect me... I can't fight the heartless."
"T-thank you Mikeal... i really appreciate it."
Kyriuy didn't move but instead pressed his back against the wall and sank to the wall.
'' Thanks for the vote of confidence Kuri'' he thought as he took out the picture of him and V. '' I used to like her you know, however that never made me forget who I really cared about.....I loved you more than that. Not that it's your fault....but It would have made me happier If you decided to go home''' he continued to think and slipped the picture back and closed his eyes.
He stayed there for a while........he didn't mind completely...but in her position...he would be more than eager to get back home....ah well. He stood up and started to walk out of the alley from where he came...he still trusted her anyway so he might as well go home.
He started to walk home before suddenly stopping in his tracks. Something was wrong....but what was it? No no Kuri would never...but...she clearly didn't know any better.
Kyriu rushed back to the alley than looked up. Something was bothering him about this.....he couldn't just leave Kuri like this.
He started squeezed his way though some boxes and was able to make it out of the alley to the other side. He swung his sword over his shoulder and stood at the street just behind the two.
He still wanted to say something but he did his best to restrain himself. He kept his face on the floor and allowed his hair to cover most of it creating a short of shadow on it.
'' I'm..........sure.......he;s fine...just done talking for a while.........isn't that right Mikeal?'' was the only thing Kyriu said with difficulty. He was simply answering Kuri's question...no harm done right?....not yet at least.
He refused to move or lift his head........for some reason he had never felt so upset in his life.
"You don't look too happy... are you alright Mikael?"[/i]
The pyromancer blinked once, staring deep into her round emerald eyes. Personally, he wasn't feeling like telling everyone and their grandma about the shit going on around him. He didn't want to break down in front of her... he didn't want the monster within him to take control. Mikhail knew it would try to hurt Lakuri and any other people nearby and the darkness wouldn't rest until its children had claimed all of their hearts.
He wasn't willing to let that happen.
Ever since he had nearly fallen to the darkness, Rutherford had been decided to be the alpha male in his relationship with it. He was going to control and tame the darkness, not the other way around. He wouldn't risk to have her around once she woke up if it happened, he couldn't risk her well being. Darkness would be nothing more than a mere weapon to him, one that he would use against the Dark XII and its sneaky minions. All to keep her safe... all to bring peace back to the universe.
However, before he could answer Lakuri's questions in an attempt to change the uncomfortable subject, another voice was heard. It was one of a male around his age and it carried a certain feeling of... nostalgia with it.
''I'm... sure... he's fine... just done talking for a while... isn't that right Mikael?''
The pyromancer knew this guy... he certainly did as the newcomer knew his name. Turning around, Mikhail stared at the brunet hume and studyed him carefully. Hey... wasn't that the guy he met once along with that other girl... what was her name? Koto? Yeah, it been quite a while since he had seen the duo. But for some reason, this reunion didn't seem to be one of glee and joy. The man could sense tension in the air, mainly coming from Kyriu; his voice also hinted that... he wasn't doing so well either.
Oh well, glad to know he wasn't the only one feeling terribly that day.
However, it did not seem like it was right for him to reply at that moment. Besides, the comment seemed to be headed to the maiden beside Mikhail rather than the pyromancer himself. Oh god, he had really messed up. Big time. It didn't take much to put the pieces together: Kyriu and Lakuri were a couple and the first was pretty much upset... you could say it was obvious why.
But now that he though about it... the maiden hadn't done anything wrong...

Lakuri was very patiently waiting for Mikeal to gibe her some sort of answer, when she heard a voice. It was very familiar to her; and she knew right away who the voice belong too... Kyriu.
She almost instrictivly "dropped what she was doing" and looked at him instead of Mikeal. Lakuri was very happy that Kyriu was here now, she had been wanting him to come back from.. where ever the heck he went. Although... she found it kind of funny that He always seemed to show up when Lakuri was the least bit bored... why not when she was the most bored? that would be much better!!!
Lakuri's smile seemed to fade though, she she acctually looked at Kyriu's face... and just how he was presenting himself. What was wrong with him? usually... Kyriu was quite happy when he found her agian... why did he look so upset? And how did he know Mikeals name? Did they already know eachother? So many questions!
Lakuri imidiatly slid herself closer to Kyriu to "examine" him closer. She took her hand and lightly moved away the hair that was in his face, but noticed that he was looking at the ground. "Kyriuuu" she called to him, hopeing that he would look up. "What's wrong sweetie?" she asked and smiled at him. Then another thought came to her mind.... Mikeal wasn't happy either.. he needed her attention... but so did Kyriu.. who was she suposed to talk to!? She turned her head back to look at Mikeal and gave him a apologtic smile. Lakuri was still very confused by this situation of who she was suposed to give her attion too.. but she had an idea. She lightly brushed one of her hands ontop of Kyriu's, to tell him, in a way to hold her hand, then she compleatly turned to Mikeal. "Uhh..."Lakuri started a little akwardly "Do you two already know eachother?" she asked, still akwardly, haveing no idea what to say... at this time.. she would introduce Kyriu... but since Kyriu already knew mikeal's name... that seemed unneeded.... So Lakuri simply smiled kinda akwardly and waited for either of the two boys to speak.
Well this day was still getting worse..and sadly it looked like things were just getting started. He wasn't made at Kuri at all, but he wasn't really happy about the day at all. The combination of his bad day....injures, and well over hearing something unpleasant seemed to upset him. Kyriu wasn't found of being upset..and he wasn't found of being injured..irritated then upset either.
He wanted to feel normal again..but somehow he had a feeling that it wasn't possible...at least not for a while. It was only then that he realized how sleepy he was..and that was always bad for him..he prayed and hoped that mr banana didn't show up anytime soon.
After that he noticed his refection in a buddle next to his foot. His eye were grey very very dark grey...possibly worse than last time at least the grey was visible before.
Kyriu didn't move or budge. He tried to hold Kuri's hand but his merely began to shake then let go.
