In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A strange smell filled the air of the bar. It was something she'd never smelled before. It was sort of sweet. Yet musky. Even a little dry. She had registered this smell in the back of her mind, but tucked it away. She would remember it, but had to think about the priorities.
There was a mission to take care of: find someone who knows about the Gummi Ship.
And so, her frost-blues scanned the interior of the building for anyone she could ask.
And on a day like today, there was bound to be more than one person here.
As soon as they entered the bar, Vapor turned his attention to the matter at hand and quickly glanced around for someone to ask about a Gummi Ship. "The rain must have forced people to go inside." He thought, "So there has to be a few people to ask."
He turned his attention to Era, and asked "So, who should we ask?"
One thing always crossed the youth's mind when he lounged in places like this: was there some sort of age requirement to be in one of these extraterrestrial bars? Realizing that Radiant Garden lacked a strict government like other worlds in the known galaxy, the boy known as Leiz figured that it didn't matter as long as he didn't order any drinks. Common sense, really.
But back on his homeworld, "Belevadia", the legal age of drinking happened to be the age of fifteen. Having the mind and taste for alcohol at the moment, it felt odd not to be occupying himself with a mug of ale right now. The girlish boy sighed as he leaned backward in his seat. What a weak vacation. There was that Darkun fellow on Destiny Islands that he met up with. That was interesting, sure. But at this rate, he wasn't getting much adventuring done and it wouldn't be long before he'd have to get back to work for X.M.R. It's not as if he loathed it, but he needed this free time to seek out the things that would advance his goal: to work on the journal. To prove his manliness.
His focus was disrupted as he happened to spot two individuals walking in through the bar's entrance: one female, the other male. He could hear the male murmuring something that resembled "who should we ask". Lowering his green-haired head, Leiz wondered if it was worth being assertive right now. Training his violet eyes on the two with a passive look, the youth decided to pop up the collar of his windbreaker in a feverish attempt to remain discrete. Maybe he could write an interesting diddle about these two in his journal without even being noticed or having to socialize at all.

Hero looked at a long list he had in his hands ans his other steered the battered, old, and grey gummi ship. He was almost done for the day. Hero worked for a small company that sent him to a few different worlds to gather information, or retrieve and deliver payments or certain packages. It was tireless work, but Hero liked it. This was his final job before turning in for the day. Apparently, he had to deliver a sum of money to a certain employee of the local bar in Radiant Garden for the package fee he had used. Now came one of the toughest parts of the job. Hero scratched his head nonchalantly and tried to think of a way to configure the buttons to transfer himself into the world. He remembered the button was green and kind of small.. Well, there were three of them, so he had to choose one. Then write it down. He flipped the switch, and swerved the small gummi ship towards the world, fully expecting to be landed there on foot immediately.
It didn't work. Instead of just sending Hero into the world, it took the vessel he was riding in as well.
"Wait, no no no no STOP STOP STO-"
No matter how much Hero pleaded, the ship would not change it's course. However, instead of relaying how frighteningly terrified Hero was, or how bad the crash was, it'll just be said.
The vessel avoided crashing into any people, but landed in a nearby bar and created an uncomfortable amount of rubble in the wall. The people in the bar were shocked, but not hurt, as an unreasonable amount of thuds and painful grunts rattled within the small ship until a boy fell out of it and landed in an uncomfortable heap on the floor. Hero took a few moments to nurse his forehead before he stood up. "Does anybody in this bar have a payment that needs collecting?"
Nobody moved. Then one man who was cleaning dishes and cups in the back let out a blood curling shriek and flew himself out the window.

(well, no laws have been broken....but you have incurred the wrath of Tifa.....good luck in keeping your life. xD )
Everyone in the bar just looked at the boy who fell out of the gummi ship. He straightened up and asked if anyone had payments that needed collecting. Tifa, who was standing right behind him, glaring at the back of his head with a cold stare that would have frozen flames, was the first to speak up.
"Yeah! You owe me for crashing into my bar!" She yelled at the boy, advancing on him several paces, anger clearly evident on her face,"What were you thinking?! Does this look like a landing strip to you?!"
((In case anyone desires a post order, let's do it this way: Vapor -> HOFF MAN -> 01 -> Sumdood -> Era))
A tuft of green hair peeking out from above a tall collar had immediately peaked Era's interest. It was peculiar enough that the girl was immediately distracted from anything else. The vibrant color was definitely unique, and thus, alluring. Maybe the woman that said hair belonged to might know a thing or two about the ethereal Gummi Ship they had been seeking? She'd never know until she asked.
Her expression illuminated at the possibility of an answer to her question. And, wrapping her delicate grasp around Vapor's hand once again, she tugged him toward the person that had far too easily ensnared her interest.
"Excus--"
--Before she could get a complete thought out, something had plummeted through the wall. The rapid noise of the wall crumbling and the hard material of the ship folding under pressure were scratching at her ears and causing her Heart rate to excel threefold. In surprise, the dainty female let published a squeak, surprise and adrenaline boiling freshly through her veins. The look on her face was a mix of something between astonishment and a taken-aback expression of irony.
She'd pulled Vapor into an implausible search for a Gummi Ship. And, instead of having to hunt one down, one just came to her. This odd twisting of events was nothing short of surprising. Now then, who was in control of this ship? Who would she have to talk to in order to get passage onto this gift from the Heavens, and how much would it cost for a one-way trip? Well, she would find out.
Grunts and grumbles of pain were barely audible from the other side of the Gummi Ship's wall, and instinct immediately took over her: someone was hurt, and she had to help.
It wasn't long before Era had scrambled over to the large, damaged hull, avoiding a few loose bricks that were late to topple onto the floor nearby. A few more took a dive for the ship, further adding to the damage of the inoperable vehicle, and in time, the charge it would take to fix said ship.
As the dust settled, her frost-blue gaze set sight to a figure emerging from the ship. "Are you all right?" The question was quick to come forth. And, despite her inquiry, she had the inkling he was less than so.
As the pilot came into full view, the girl could only tilt her head. Peppy blue hair. Those unmistakable white earmuffs. Those deep and collected blue eyes. This was definitely...
"Hero?" Her query was filled both with excitement to see her friend, and surprise that they'd run into each other again.
The latest arrival had asked a question about collecting a fee, and then someone took a dive out the nearest window. It seemed things weren't shaping up for Hero all that well. And then, to add insult to injury, the self-proclaimed Bartender came into the scene. And she was... Well... nothing less than frighteningly furious. Era probably would've been, too, if she had been in those shoes.
But she seemed to be missing a vital point: this boy had just survived a crash. It was a bad time to choose to grill him. And so, she took it upon herself to step into the line of fire.
A few firm strides planted her between the black-haired flurry of anger, and her disoriented friend.
She bowed respectfully to her infuriated elder. "Please don't be angry with him, miss. I'm sure he meant no offense." Sure, it wasn't enough to pay for repairs, but perhaps her willingness to stand up for her friend would cool the crazed woman's wrath.
Once again, Vapor felt a tug on his wrist as Era pulled him toward someone who appeared to have caught her eye. He could see why, with hair that colour it's hard not to get noticed. So Vapor followed on behind Era as they made their way toward the stranger.
Just as the two reached him, and Era had begun her question, a large crashing sound came from behind them, followed by the sound of tumbling rubble. Vapor spun on the spot to see a dull coloured Gummi Ship parked in the wall of the bar, with bricks scattered all over the place. He immediately looked around to see if anyone had been hurt and, luckily, nobody had. Vapor's attention was then turned back to the new arrival just in time to see a vaguely familiar face emerge from the large pile of ship and stone. "Those earmuffs.. I recognize them.." He couldn't quite put his finger on where he remembered them from, until Era mentioned the name Hero, at which point his memory sparked and he vaguely remembered meeting him some time earlier in Radiant Garden.
It was then that the owner of the bar, Tifa, appeared with a face like thunder, and she stormed toward Hero in order to unload her thoughts on his landing skills in a rather unkind manner, seeing as the boy had just crash landed and was lucky to be alright. Era seemed to notice this and stepped in, in Hero's defense. Vapor would have, but he couldn't think of anything that might help the matter at hand, so instead he stayed quiet and watched.
His eyes fixated on the table before him, Leiz had no idea that his attempts to remain inconspicuous were totally in vain. He sat where he did in complete and total isolation, having picked a seat where bar goers hadn't approached.
Leiz began to write dutifully in a black-colored journal which had been carefully and securely bound to his belt by a rather sturdy chain - there was simply no way that just anyone was going to take it off him willingly. No, they wouldn't have the fortune of coming upon it unless he was a rotting corpse. Strange... and self-defeating. A book read by none was an exercise in linguistic masturbation.
But it wasn't about nothing. The words being written were those of first impressions. A somewhat adventurous, wishful-eyed woman with orange hair. An accompanying male who looked to play the part of a clueless sidekick, merely along for the ride. At a loss for words that could more accurately denote the environment in which he was a part of, Leiz found himself heaving a heavy sigh. "No, damn it. Adventure... ADVENTURE is what I'm driving at. Giving a Shadow a lobotomy is more interesting than this."
Leiz was certainly frustrated, propping his hands up against his cheeks as he let the book sit there on the table surface. This was all very redundant, he was convinced. He believed he could be spending his time with something more dangerous... more careless. There was no wonder that the Frosted Flame was such a backwater pub. No one here had even learned or cared of the outside universe. Still... surely someone here could be the catalyst for something...
... and then came a woman's voice. His attention was immediately diverted as he averted his eyes from the book to catch a glimpse of the very same pair from earlier. "Excuse me--"
CRACKABOOM!
Leiz nearly fell out of his chair as his peripherals picked up on a small brick careening through the air, just narrowly missing his left temple. Alerted to the source of the brick and the loud sound, he tilted his head... finding nothing other than the familiar bow of a Gummi Ship jutting out of a newly-created crevice in one of the tavern's walls. Leiz was practically speechless as he saw a familiar blue-haired boy stepping out from the wrecked vehicle to survey the damage.
After the boy conducted a completely off-kilter poll to see if any payments needed to be collected, Leiz couldn't help but facepalm as a multitude of things occurred. There was a random scream followed by the sound of glass shattering... which Leiz presumed to be a terrified man making his exit via the window. Then a large-breasted female - who Leiz recognized as the tavern's owner - made her presence known as she hurtled toward the blue-haired male ominously, giving him a piece of her mind as she demanded answers. ... and then the pair from before suddenly left the table's side, moving to intercept the bar owner with determination.
The green-haired soldier shook his head wildly as he snapped his book shut and pocketed it away, honestly devoid of anything worthwhile or contributive to say.
At first, Hero didn't even noticed the green-haired man nor the barwoman.
"Era! Vapor! What are you two do-" Hero started in an optimistic tone when-
SMASH
Somebody threw a half-empty wine glass at his head. A large portion of Hero's face started to stain with blood. He scratched his head with a perplexed look on his face as a few drunk men hurried out the front door. Some of it had gotten on his headphones, so he proceeded to wipe it off using his spare handkerchief.
"I guess this really isn't the place, huh.."
Hero gave a polite look of apology towards Vapor and Era before he turned towards the barwoman and sank into an honorable bow.
"I'm really sorry for all of this! Please forgive me!" he said, trying to keep his tone courteous, but panic showed in every ounce of sweat that was dripping off of Hero's face. Suddenly, the woman was right in front of Hero's face. He couldn't help it - he fell over. Both from emotional and physical shock.
"Please don't be angry with him, miss. I'm sure he meant no offense." A girl said to Tifa, dragging a friend along with her to confront her confrontation with the crashed gummi pilot.
"I'm really sorry for all of this! Please forgive me!" the pilot himself said, giving a respectful bow.
Tifa stood there for several long moments, glaring at both of them with her hands on her hips. Finally, she folded her arms with a small huff. What was she going to do? She couldn't fix this all by herself. She didn't make enough money from the bar to be able to fix this without wiping out everything she'd saved for emergencies. She'd never expected someone to land a gummi ship through the place.
"I can forgive you, but that won't fix the wall of my bar. You, mister, are going to have to own up to your mistakes," she said, pointing a finger at the gummi pilot.
"Hey!" The fiery female barked, pointing a challenging finger at the frumpy individual with the audacity to throw a dangerous item at her friend. She gave him a stern, icy stare, and he seemed to take that threat and back down, putting his hands up in surrender and returning to his own business.
Era promptly snatched a napkin off a nearby table and brought to her friend's face to gingerly blot away the red liquid, which had now also been smeared all over Hero's hand in his previous attempt to wipe it away. Her mind played through how she could help her friend make amends as she interested herself in tidying up his wound.
This sort of behavior may have been atypical between such new friends... But atypical behavior stemmed from an atypical heart, and for anyone to call this happily disillusioned girl normal, they'd have to be disillusioned themselves.
"What more could go wrong for him.." Vapor was thinking, until he saw a wine glass fly through the air and hit Hero square on the face. "Oh, that.." He walked over to Hero, as Era rushed to get a napkin to wipe away the mess on Hero. As he turned to face the angry bar owner he saw, out the corner of his eye, a very apologetic look on the blood-stained face of the boy.
Vapor folded his arms, took a couple steps back, and leant against a stable part of the nearly demolished wall. He heard the owner forgive Hero so long as he owns up to his mistakes. Vapor glanced at the large hole in the wall, "That's some mistake." He thought, "Would Hero be able to fix that? Certainly not by himself." So he decided he'd help Hero whenever possible, even though they had only briefly met once before.
He moved his arms up and behind his head, resting his head on his hands, and turned to Hero. "I'll help when I can." After all, a friend is a friend.
A very harsh, unforgiving part of Leiz wanted him to stand right up and accuse the blue-haired boy of some terminal case of retardation. But as much as he actually wanted to do that, he couldn't bring himself to attract so much attention. Even on a vacation, there was an extent to how conspicuous he would make himself.
Finding circumstances to be unbearable at this point, Leiz sighed as he slid his chair backward. Helping himself up from the seat, he intended making himself scarce. However, as much as he wanted to take the new exit that the man in the kitchen had just created, there was actually no way he could feasibly go back there without incurring the attention and wrath of the barkeeper. For once, just like everyone else, he'd have to play the part of a frustrated, ordinary individual seeking refuge from the ridiculousness of this unfolding situation.
Leiz ran a hand through his hair, making as little noise as possible as he made a beeline path for the tavern's entrance. He paid the four individuals no mind, pushing the double-doors aside as he made his silent exit through the doorway.
Oh, how he'd wished that things had gone better. Rather than getting an hour's worth of silence, he was instead greeted with the utter tedium of human nature. He didn't have to stay seated for long for something ludicrous to find its way into his lap. After all had been said - little, mind you - and done, what had the boy learned today?
"People should really need licences to pilot Gummi Ships."

"No really, I'm fine.." Hero said, slightly blushing as he edged out of Era's reach. Hero contmeplated his situaton for a few nanoseconds, whilst pulling a few shards of glass out of his hair and head.
A dusty old lightbulb that usually just discreetly sat about Hero's head in wait, not fueled by any form of electricity or inspiration, suddenly lit up with the generic "ding!". He hurriedly dove into his handbag at his side, and rummaged around a little bit. Finally, he pulled out a large leather sack of who-knew-what.
"I think 300,000 munny should be enough to cover the cost of this wall."
When nobody spoke Hero scratched his head and looked at the earthly flooring. It turned out that he built up a lot of vacation time and income savings over the course of his workspan. He forgot to use any of it, but now, he wondered wether it seemed too impudent to just resolve everything like that.
"Um, I'm really, truly sorry about all this." He said in a rather anxious voice unlike his regular, easygoing tone.
Ugh. She was right to reprimand the boy. He just crashed a whole gummi ship through the bar. Sighing softly, one of the patrons in the bar hurled a wine glass at the boy who crashed the gummi ship into the bar. Everything flashed red at once - the nerve. Hopping over a table, she strolled calmly to the man and grabbed him, one hand on his shirt and the other on his pants.
"Hey! What are you do - AAAH!"
And threw him bodily out of the bar. Even though the boy had did wrong, it was far worse to be throwing glass at him, what if he dropped dead? Suddenly, one patron, who decided she...or was it he? Tifa couldn't tell. Either way, she/he decided she/he had enough of this, and left the bar. Groaning, she knew very soon, when people recovered themselves, more would follow suit.

Stored inside a bag, no less. "Um, I'm really, truly sorry about all this." And she sighed again. "It's all right....I'll need help fixing the bar though, it'll take me days to do it on my own," she said, affixing her gaze on the boy. Dumping money on her then running wouldn't help that much. "....This place needed a spruce up anyway..."
