In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Debut of Darkness:: Sister Thread of "Debut" Dark XII Mission PM to JOIN this and related threads
Tainted hearts floated from a dark shadow to drift on the ground. In a sense, it seemed to bind itself to the earth before parts of the Royal Ground began to levitate easily towards the heart like a magnet. Slowly roots outlined a skeletal canine form as the rock, grass, and soil made up the rest. Gaia began roamign about the Royal Grounds of Disney Castle under order. Opening their mouths, they emitted a snarling howl calling unto the heartless Lea had instructed earlier to hunt down Minute Bombs.
With additional snarling commands, the heartless came forth with a rippling sound of dark portals with company of the desired heartless, the Minute Bombs. Boney Gaian herded them in units ordering none to attack under any circumstances unless instructed. They had no choice, but to obey; it was in their mechanism, especially when they all rooted from a stronger Heartless belonging to the Dark XII. It would be peculiar to see Heartless interact in such intellectual manner other than the animalistic mindset of packs and hunting.
With a whistle, the canine heartless sat as a the sound of rippling water increased as the darkness bubbled a portal. Claded in black, Elaeus strolled out as his boots crushed the grass beneath him. His black sash tied around his eyes as his bronze hair flowed over it easily, while his long bangs swayed with his gait. A bronze brow arched once not seeing Lea, "Where in the world is he?"
His nose twitched with an inhale smelling darkness and brimstone concluding that the Heartless was somewhere, but not alone. His mouth open with bared fangs to emit a cracking snarl. Behind him another Gaia, one with a higher status as a ruby gleamed from it's forever unlike the brown gemstones on the others, trotted into the world from a portal. With a nod, it ordered a pair of brown Zircon gemed lesser Gaian to follow suit. They ran off to scope the Castle in search of Lea's whereabouts. He was somewhere in the Castle
His arms folded over his chest in a snort. Does he always have to be present to make sure tasks are completed? Pursing his lips together, he whistled to summon.
Ciraph burst into the courtyard through a portal of darkness, his black scales gleaming brightly in the sunlight. He pumped his wings hard, looking around for the one who had summoned him. It didn't take long to catch sight of him.
It was Elaeus, that earth manipulator. One of the TRUE Dark XII, the original heartless that had made up the organization. Heartless like Ciraph himself were only powerful heartless that had been recruited for the Dark XII cause since they were above the lesser heartless and could actually think.
Letting out a roar, Ciraph went into a steep dive toward the ground. He flared his wings at the last moment, slamming into the ground rather hard right in front of the Heartless, his claws digging into the ground and leaving deep gashes in the pathway.
Ciraph emitted a low growl and glared up at Elaeus as he spoke,"I am not one of your little rock dogs, Elaeus. I dont' appreciate being called with a whistle."
At that, Ciraph turned his head on his long neck to look at the minute bombs, being herded by Elaeus' earth hounds. The little rock beasts seemed to have the whole mission under control. This made Ciraph wonder why he'd been called. He wouldn't have been called simply to assist Elaeus in overseeing his little mutts, would he?
"Why did you call me here?" Ciraph asked, turning back to Elaeus.

"I am not one of your little rock dogs, Elaeus. I dont' appreciate being called with a whistle."
Elaeus strolled towards the dragon nonchalantly with his arms folded over his chest. He knew the dragon was holding back; he had a feeling there was more to be spoken, and decided to not waste too many words on an unique introduction, "You don't say."
Silently, he counted to himself wondering how long would it take to get the question who would like to answer. His fingers flexed with each number he mentally uttered before the voice spoke, "Why did you call me here?"
"Now that is a wonderful question. You see this castle is far more valuable then it may appear; also being so valuable, any sense of heartless activity would draw attention. The last time the unliked cultivated in this world there was a horde of keyblade wielders and fellow naive young warriors called upon by this world's desperate king. You have an option. You can either be a resistance to any that may come, or assist gathering one of the world's treasures."
Elaeus turned his head towards where the town would be located. His ears perked to listen out for a voice as his feet listened for any vibrations of traveling. Not hearing anything threatening at the moment, he turned his attention back to the dragon, "We don't recruit duds, so I would like to see value of your skills as well as your loyalty."
Ciraph snorted as Elaeus spoke of testing him. Him! A dragon! Being tested by this little.....cretin. It was almost laughable that he should be reduced to this level.
However, the idea of this treasure sounded somewhat intriguing. It might be worth looking into.
"What is this treasure I would be looking for?" the dragon asked the smaller heartless. He wanted to know more about it before he decided to take the "job". He didn't want anything horrible or degrading.
A portal opened up directly to the left of Elaeus and out of it strutted Seed plugging his ears with his index fingers with, as it would come naturally, an annoyed look on his face. He un-plugged his ears when he was out of the portal and it closed behind him. His eyes gave a slight glance over to Ciraph and he simply gave a shrug, Seed didn't really question this new recruit. It had been about four months since he had last been in the worlds.
"Do you have to whistle so loudly Elaeus? I mean damn. I was having such a nice time sleeping..." the green haired Heartless complained as he took his usual place beside the earth manipulator. He took in the immense Castle that stood before him and let out a whistle himself of being impressed. This place was certainly more lively than the Castle of Abyss. Seed could tell that something was worth being here for and he also guessed it was time to find out.
"So, Elaeus, whats with letting out a summon to this Castle? It reeks of light anyway. So why here?" Seed asked as he was still gazing across the vast garden and the herding of Minute Bombs and remembered that he was taken into the darkness during his mission to get some other Heartless he couldn't remember the name of. Oh well. But now Seed was wondering why a Dragon was being told to look for a treasure.

"It's quite a valuable one, but you'll have to travel backwards to get it. I have a feel you may be...too big for the job. Maybe so, maybe not. Only the strong can go after it, anyone weak can easily perish."
His nose twitched before hearing a familiar voice, "Do you have to whistle so loudly Elaeus? I mean damn. I was having such a nice time sleeping..."
"Have you slept enough, Seed?" The Heartless questioned harshly not admiring the tone of complaint he had. Walking forward he stopped once being questioned again. "It won't be like that for long. After all every world have its value, even the one's full of light. We are simply here to gather such thing."
"Like I have said before, once again, your decision Ciraph," Elaeus looked towards the dragon. "You can babysit or treasure hunting."
Ciraph snorted when Elaeus just danced around the heart of his question with a riddle. What did he mean, travel backwards? How do you travel backwards?
It didn't matter. IF Elaeus didn't want to give him any more information, that was fine. Ciraph would simply go with the one he knew more about. He'd just 'babysit' as the smaller heartless put it.
Of course, there was also this little moss-headed heartless here now, as well. He was a member of their ranks, the dragon knew that, but....he didn't seem dependable, since his entrance was made whining about being woken up. Insolent little thing. He'd probably learn a thing or two if Ciraph snatched him up in his jaws and shook him around a little. Maybe then he'd learn to keep his mouth quiet when dealing with a superior.
"I believe I'll just 'babysit' your little hounds. I wouldn't mind having the time to spend in the warmth of the sun. My body has been growing cold as of late, being in the shadows so much."
"It's taking time to get back my full strength, if not new strength all together back. Sleeping is the way the body repairs itself, not that we have bodies but I assume you understand what I'm saying, so to answer your question. No, I haven't gotten enough sleep. And by backwards I assume you mean Time correct? Cause walking backwards wouldn't solve anything." Seed yawned as he walked over and gave Ciraph his usual "who the hell are you" look. Seed didn't in all the worlds really care why and how this dragon came to be in the XII but knowing who made him a Heartless would be really good info.
Starting a stroll over the lovely fountain in the center of a arrangement of bushes and hedges, Seed asked Ciraph, "So, Ciraph by the sounds of it, how did you come to be a part of are little loose-knit family? And I know it wasn't Elaeus that turned you, his scent isn't in your heart. So who made you a darkling?" Seed wiggled his fingers slightly and moved the water in the fountain to make small waves to entertain himself while he waited for an answer, but he turned his head back and told Elaeus.
"If you were wanting me to take us back in time you know I can't. Now making a long trip over the Spacial rift is no problem, but I can't mess around with time. Ripping a hole in the universe is bad I've been told."

"If you want to be a bit technical, there is a small portion of me in him, since I sired the one who sired him." The Heartless spoke as he moved forward towards the castle. It was quite funny how the heartless dynamics seems to be like vampirism.
His ears perked hearing Seed mention about the difficulties of time traveling, which made him chuckled, "Well my little grasshopper, it seems you truly haven't traveled in this world at all."
A blast of shadow and flame, and a new figure lazed against one of the well-cut shrubs that towered over him. The shrubs did not burn... It seemed as though this World was well protected against any element that might attempt to maim in. That wasn't a good sign for anybody attempting to raid this place.
The only human ever accepted into the Dark XII... Whether they wanted to argue that fact or not. Sin watched with amusement as the weaker Heartless were hounded (literally) into a portal to who-knows-where. That whistle... Sin examined the thick iron shackle that had attached itself to his left arm. The single chain link that was attached was moving wildly, the sound of smashing metal resounding in the air.
This is what bound him to the Dark XII. Since he had obtained it, he noticed that it shook like that when near a large source of Darkness. Elaeus specifically... The one who captured him. He had discovered about the parasitic Heartless that was on Synthest's body and had thus captured Syn. Still... He had to keep his honor. The name Synthest wouldn't be soiled. Even as a human in the Dark XII, Sin had decided to use his Heartless' name.
"So... These are my new colleagues." Sin looked them over. A dragon and a green man. Hmm... The XII had taken some unique recruits, for sure. "So be it. What do you want me to do, Elaeus?"
Ciraph snorted at the little moss-haired man. He was an odd one, that was for sure. He just turned his large head, which was about as long as the man was tall, and peered at him with one eye.
"I was turned by Kuja Tribal......the only one I'll ever allow to ride on my back, and the one I shall one day rip to pieces with my bare claws," Ciraph said with another snort, this one accompanied by a small spurt of black flames, which shot out of his nose,"when that day comes, I would suggest staying out of my way, unless you would like to join him in being ripped apart."
At that, Ciraph non-chalantly licked his claws, much like a cat would after pouncing on a mouse. The difference here was Ciraph was preparing to pounce on a mouse, in case it was necessary.
(ooc: apologies for the 25lbs of crap in the 1lb bag post, but.....I couldn't think of anything. )
"Well Elaeus I don't go to places I don't know exist. Kinda weird if I did, it would be like I knew everything. Which even I know I don't. So why did you whistle us here? Not just to check up on Lea I'm guessing?"
Seed turned his head to see the dragon leering him and explaining how he became a Heartless. Kuja Tribal huh? Long teal-like hair, powerful, bit narcissistic, and apparently a dragon hunter. Seed laughed a little as he passed Ciraph and gave a pat to his snout and took his place by Elaeus but stopped half-way to say something to Ciraph, "I don't care much for riding a dragon, given I never knew they lived outside of China. I can fly all on my own, but I would advise you not anger Kuja, or me."
Seed made a breeze brush up against Ciraphs snout again as he spoke to Elaeus and this newcomer, "So you found a way to travel across time in this place and you need us to either find it or go with you to eliminate the protector of it right? Either way it sounds fun, so to repeat our little one here. Where are we going?"

"Ciraph, seeing that you are no longer you own ruler to an extent, I doubt you will have any say in the matter," His nose twitched to the right with a snort of annoyance. About to travel forth towards the castle his foot froze as more children of darkness decided to arrive at the last moment of his call; this time it was Synthest, the heartless in denial.
He hummed silently as he thought everything over, while drinking in Seed's little questions. "That would be correct Seed. You Seed will remain with the dragon. Here you can wake up from your little nap with some responsibilities, especially if anyone is to disturb us. It seems like such thing is the inevitable, so we better prepare and take nosey naive individuals into consideration. I have no concerns on their conditions."
"Those who dare tries to interfere will simply have to suffer the consequences of probing their nose in other affairs. I'm sure you two can spare the rod considerately, and it will give Seed a moment to have this...fun you've been exaggerating about."
"Synthest as of you, you'll be coming with me." Turning on his heel, he began strolling away. "I have a little job for you."
Fear. It paralyzed Sin as Elaeus turned. They would be working together... His capturer. The metal shackle jingled as he drew closer, but eventually grew used to the Darkness and went silent.
Elaeus did indeed scare Sin. Not only did the Heartless use his old name, he was in complete control of the situation. He had no form of weakness in his command. Business was obviously his game. He controlled the lesser Heartless with ease, and even through their complaints, he maintained a steady authority.
He was a demon.
Sin had expected an objective. He had expected to do whatever the hell they wanted alone. But it seemed like Elaeus wanted to watch over him... What was the Earth-wielder's purpose? Why did he want Sin around? The Synthesizer followed Elaeus as he began to leave.
Ciraph snorted when the little green-haired one, Seed, said not to anger Kuja. He doubted whether or not Kuja could even be angered. He seemed an implaccable fortress of calm every time Ciraph had seen the freak of a man.
"I doubt Kuja is easily angered," Ciraph said, laying down on the ground, between two high shrubs, and resting his head on the ground over his forearms,"I encountered him many a time when I was still a white dragon, and he never seemed easily angered, no matter what I did or said."
The black dragon looked over at Elaeus and Sin as they spoke to each other. They were going treasure hunting, eh? Well, at least Elaeus knew what he was looking for. He'd refused to tell Ciraph what is was. It was best this way. That way, Ciraph didn't risk overlooking it. It was easy to overlook things when you were a massive black dragon.....
