In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

While normally Traverse Town had been known for its peace and nightly beauty, tonight was bound to be different. Screams filled the streets while what few members of the Second District scattered in terror like rabbits from a Wolf.
A shrill, arid noise screeched through the air as one man rushed through the doors of the chapel. His green eyes scanned the room, only to find that there was no room left inside. His heart was racing as small fingers grabbed his hand. "Daddy!" Large blue eyes locked frightfully on the tall male. He glanced down, his stare stiffening. "It'll be okay, Nina!" His voice trembled a few times, though he tried to keep it strong for her.
Another ghastly shriek tore through the darkness.
Sweeping his daughter into his arms, the man backed out of the Church, and scurried into the dark corner nearby, kneeling over her. He knew they had no more time, and he could only hope that they would be unseen.
The banshee of shadow drifted into the center of the district, eyeing those few that still scurried through the streets, and it could only muster a cruelly twisted laugh, eyeing each pedestrian in turn. Nightmare was singling out his prey.
Now then, where was that next victim? Ah. There!
Yellow slits narrowed on the target, and one shadowy blade spun once, a chain forming form the back of the Soul Reaper's hilt. The demon flicked its rag-covered wrist, the chain coiling around the leg of its prey; a young male; one of the town's quieter members who was now screaming of terror, desperately trying to claw at his binding, wiggle out, or somehow free himself. The chain proceeded to retract back into the hilt of the Banshee's sword, and as the prey came closer, a smirk widened on the Demon's face.
A simple black and white sign was plastered to every wall or pillar in the First, Second and Third districts. On it was a drawing of the Banshee, as best any town's person could recollect, and a plea for help: "If anyone can help get rid of The Nightmare Bringer, I will gladly pay from my own pocket, Signed Russel R. Geoff, owner of the Music Store down in Second District." Below that was some contact information.
By the looks of it, the old sign had been up for a few weeks. And unfortunately, no aid had come to the harassed Townsfolk of this beautiful little world.
Even though poorly sketched, Nightmare's features were surprisingly accurate: the wicked eyes and jagged, evil grin, for instance, were perfectly precise. But no artwork could mirror the sheer terror this Beast stirred into the Hearts of the citizens; no skilled talent could match the stark horror of those screams.

((I took my sweet time @.@ apologies))
Sweat was beading down Nadia’s forehead as she set her sights on her new target. This time, she was hunting a dangerous criminal known simply as The Nightmare Bringer. "He" was a being whose race was unknown since the demon wore a big, black cloak, which covered the creature's face with its dark hood. The kicker was that he rarely spoke, making it near impossible to know what exactly he was. She narrowed her eyes, analyzing the only reference picture she had been given (or rather, the only reference picture she had snatched from a lamp-post). The drawer obviously wasn't a skilled artist but she got the point; her prey was no handsome sweetheart.
Ther mercenary released the picture from her grasp, slowly creeping around a corner. Even though she was practically new to Traverse Town's enviroment, Verdansky had already done some exploring of her own; she knew the main Heartless hotspots in the Second and Third Districts as well as well as some shortcuts to the First District in case things got out of hand. As a hunter it was her job to know anyway.
"This is way too quiet for my liking..." A soft sigh escaped her lips as she jogged, hidden among the shadows. While it wouldn't make any difference when encountering a hungry Heartless mob, it would still keep the curious bystanders and nosy goody-two-shoes away from her. The violet maned huntress certainly didn't like to be disturbed while working. However, upon hearing that sound, she came to an abrupt stop. Nadia's heart dropped; it was that strange insectoid clicking that Heartless usually made. Obsidian quickly found its way into her mistress's grasp as she turned around, her eyes meeting a pair of yellow.
"Damn it, they saw me!"
Quickly reacting to the situation she had gotten herself into, Verdansky fired a pair of bright blue orbs, eliminating a pair of Shadows with haste. As she stepped away from her hiding place, the woman realized that she wouldn't be able to run from the area just yet. Her eyes widened; she was surrounded. Nadia cursed under her breath in a most unladylike way; she had wanted to save this for The Nightmare Bringer. Ripping the plasma grenade from her belt, she pulled the pin off with her teeth and threw it at the nearby group of Heartless.
"Beep... beep... beep... BOOOM!"
The huntress stared at the burning family of darkness, sporting a triumphant smile across her lips. Only a couple of Darksides and a single Large Body remained standing.
"Oh well," she began, raising Obsidian once again. "I can use the floating ones as target practice."

An arid, demonic screech hissed through the sky, ripping at the ears of anyone left in the Second District. It was a pained, banshee-esque seethe: type of sound that shot down your spine and radiated of evil. There was no mistake about it. That sound came from the very creature Nadia was hunting.
A second after the shriek a large, onyx silhouette rose above the buildingtops, putting distance between itself and the angry resident that had thrown his glass lantern its way. It wasn't affected by gravity, but it seemed that the fire eating at the bottom of its robes was eating it alive.
The creature swiveled through the air like a tattered black sheet, diving right through the center of the district, twisting and turning in its b-line to the alleyway. Another shrill screech pierced the atmosphere. It was dark contrast to the town's typically homey appeal... And a tell-tale sign of the Nightmare Bringer's location.
[OOC: I'm not giving up on this thread, just wanted to say that when you post, if you could shoot me a PM so I make sure not to miss the fact you've replied, that'd be great. =3]

((Why the faaaawk did I say Darksides? @.@ I meant Darkballs XDDD))
She stood, one hand on her hip as she firmly held her blaster. Verdansky was actually taking her sweet time to aim at the Darkball; after all, her prey was nowhere to be seen and, quite frankly, she didn't feel like taking part in a wild goose chase. Letting a small giggle escape her lips, she whispered a few lamenting yet mocking words for the Heartless and fired away.
...Or would have, if she hadn't been suddenly disturbed by something else.
Before her fingers could even brush the trigger, a loud cry filled the entire district. Nadia winced, immediately covering her ears in a futile attempt to stop herself from hearing that awful noise. Fortunately the torture didn't last long, but as the huntress looked up and searched for the source, she saw it.
And dear, that thing was even more frightening in person.
Not letting fear take control of her actions, she quickly raised Obsidian and aimed at The Nightmare Bringer. However, by the time she had shot another ice orb, the creature had disappeared. "Damn."[/i] She glanced around just in time to catch a glimpse of black entering an alleyway; but not just any alleyway: it had to be the damned path leading to the Third District.
"Why am I doing this, again?" Ignoring the remaining Heartless in the area, Nadia quickly dashed away hoping to catch up with her bounty.
((Oh dear this is so short and so bad @.@ my Nadia muse is not being so cooperative at the moment))
