In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Hundreds of civilians were buzzing about the stores and shops carrying loads of wrapped boxes and gifts. It was that time for Christmas again, a time for sharing and caring. Time for being around family and seeing their happy faces as they un-wrap that perfect gift that someone bought them. Maverick never did see the meaning of this holiday, as a child this time of year was not celebrated. In fact it was a time for great pain and strife; it was a time to remember all those who had died defending Mavericks village. His father was among the ones to be honored and each year Maverick would receive a medal of honor in place of his father and wore it proud for some years. But to the rest of the worlds, apparently a man named Jesus Christ came to a planet and chose to give his life for others so they could live happy. And humans who lost that world spread the holiday and its traditions.
”A load of bollocks you ask me,”
Maverick overhead a couple talking in the main square and he himself was sitting on the ground in his cloths and eye sash to protect his heart; he was curled up in a ball with his head in his knees waiting for something to happen.
”A load of bollocks you say George?! Well maybe you want to ask him them.” the female of the two smarted off to a man named George and smacked him with her purse and was pointing at Maverick. No surprise, another man wanted to know about the sash and why a dark shadow always seemed to be around him. Maverick did not hate it…some part of him liked it.
The man and woman walked up to Maverick and tapped him on his shoulder and Maverick looked up in response. His sash allowing him to see out and no one to see in, his deep silver eyes were silently piercing the couple with an icy gaze. He made a kind of grunt to make the couple see that he wanted the question to be asked already. The man cleared his throat and asked,
”I have been wondering sir. Why do you wear that sash on your eyes at night and seem to only want to leave it on in day? And…if you don’t mind me asking, where is your family?”
Maverick lowered his head and began sobbing silently; the word family brought this fit on. The same woman who shunned him because he was different, but why not placate this man? So Maverick slowly stood up and answered question.
”Simple. I wear it to protect my heart; I have seen and committed too many dark acts to be able to see light without pain. I have seen things that would make you cringe, make you cry, and make you want to die instead of see it.” Maverick’s voice was steadily on the rise and his back and shoulders were producing bone spires and the couple seemed too horrified to run.
”What?! Do I scare you?! GOOD! Maverick was now yelling at everyone who was staring in his direction, ”I hope I do scare you. You see me as a monster and nothing else. So why not act like it eh? Why not kill all of you now…no. You don’t deserve it. Elaeus would not approve.” Maverick simply turned back to his original spot and sat back down and curled up in the same ball and put his head back in his knees as he heard another person walk up to him. Great.

(okie dokie pokie. I'll just be lost with what's going on >3 MWHA. *Entering Jadis mode*)
The night was young, or was it? With a world like Traverse Town, it's hard to know if the sun will ever rise, but the chillyness still lingered. Winter was going to haunt this world as the clouds became grey ready to shed snow soon. The empress' brow knitted together hearing some disturbance, and yet again it wasn't by a heartless or nobody frenzy. Her dark green everest eyes rolled. It seemed the people were more troublesome than the predators that preyed on their humanity, their hearts.
"What seems to be the problem now?," she asked seeing a couple run up to her. "Delilah...George, explain yourself." She demanded at once, since the townspeople saw to come towards her.
"Mi'lady, there's a cruel wicked boy among us. We only asked a simple question and he snapped." Delilah blurted out with a weary face, while making a few glances behind her to ensure that the disturbing lad wasn't watching cursing her life as she spoke.
"She's right mi'lady. Even others thinks he's mad." George replied once his wife stopped noticing that one had to be strong to finish summarize the mayhem.
"I see. Which boy are you referring to?"
"T-That w-wicked one over there. Be careful mi'lady he can sprout bones out his body like a walking corpse. A devil's child he is." Delilah started with a stutter before hissing at the end at the unholy sight of such wicked monster.
"That will be enough. I shall see to it myself." She walked away from them with a silent dismissal. Her steps clicked with her ice made heels that granted her an additional to her seven feet. Her gown was a dark midnight blue decorated with silver stars. "Hm...they call you a child, then again they are about old enough to be your parents, but from their reactions, I know they're not. They even claim you're a child of Lilith, but I hardly see any of her within ye."
"What is your troubles child to have such a short fuse?"
(xDDDD, Delilah and GEORGE. That made me laugh so much and I dont know why)
Lilith? Maverick only heard some people say he was a Devil or a demon, but never Lilith? Perhaps another name for this Satan in the tale of Jesus. But it made no difference, the man upset him and needed to be whisked away before Maverick let himself go on a rampage. His heart still full of doubt of his decision to join the XII, was it really the smart thing to do?
"What troubles me? Good question miss," Maverick said softly as he lifted his head and his cheeks and sash were damp from tears, the memory of his family and the pain they brought him was too much to bottle up inside. The bone spires that were still sticking out of his shoulders and back (which were cutting deep cuts into his skin), withdrew back inside. The cuts they made were covered with solid bone to prevent infection and rupture again.
He looked the woman down from head to toe. Crown, log hair, seven feet tall by the looks of it, long flowing gown, and ice high heels....not your average Traversian. She played the part of a noble quite well and wanted to know his troubles, maybe a detailed explanation was in order.
"If you're a relative of anyone I scared I'm sorry. I....I've just had some bad things happening all at once and....." Maverick put his head back down to his knees because his eyes were beginning to hurt. Someone turned on the town Christmas Lights above him and they shone down with great intensity. A single piece of bone shrapnel shot out and pelted to one above him and Maverick lifted his head again and explained,
"I can't stand too much light, my heart can't take it I mean. Not after what that Heartless did...I'm sorry I never said my name did I?" Maverick lifted himself up, some cuts where still in his lower pants and dried blood was present on his shirt but he didn't seem to notice. He dusted his shirt off and said once more, "The names Maverick. I believe your the watcher of Traverse Town by your looks and why the couple ran to you so fast am I right?"
(I'll being in Xavier soon, just wanted a Maverick thread)

"Sorry, I doubt you would hardly see any relatives of mine...blood relatives that is," Jadis was one of those...last of a dead breed. She was a royal of Charn, a daughter of Charn, but a daughter of the Jinn and Giants. Her eyes narrowed feeling fresh water nearby; it was his tears.
His question made her ears perk. It was a good question, because so many treated her as such to the point she wielded the title after a while. It wasn't a bothersome job; securing Narnia was more annoying when the prophecy was creeping towards her.
"Yes, you can say that. By the water I sense, you are pained. I have a feeling something around her had provoked such tears. If you like I would invite you for tea or some other brevage you like. It's getting quite cold as the night extends, and being out here on the ground would be quite unhealthy. There are rooms in the hotel, and I can easily permit you access to them without charge."
Pain? Yes, one could say that Maverick was in much pain. But how can one measure individual pain? A child that has lost their favorite toy or blanket would be in much pain as the parents of such child for feeling sadness for the child. If you took the saying “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and replaced beauty with pain than that might be an appropriate saying of how much pain Maverick might appear to be in. The dark child let a sigh of anguish flow out of his throat, but he decided it would be better to talk than to freeze. Although, he could just force the inn keeper to let him stay but Maverick did not want to entice the pungent darkness within.
”That would be nice I suppose. I would rather talk about my…lets call them trivialities for now. I hope you’re a good listener. It’s a long, sad, and difficult story to tell.” Maverick tried to untie the sash around his eyes so he could show Jadis all his face but the instant the light penetrated the smallest crack it brought on the most pain he had felt. His face twisted for a few moments before he composed himself and rubbed his temples and then explained to Jadis.
”I apologize for having to make you see that. Like I said, light…burns to say the least. But where is your room exactly? I’m starting to get cold to say the truth…” Maverick looked around the hotel behind Jadis and was ready to follow the witch whenever she was to move.

"Dear I'm over ten centuries old. If I'm sure my ears can hold a story like yours-" her voice cut short see him wince at the light. Her brows knitted in curiousity with a low hum as she made a conclusion. How could light affect him so deeply? It was as if he was an element bending away from its compliment.
"It seems you are more a child of darkness that anything. You're becoming united with the element to the point you obtain a weakness of it. Perhaps soon you can manipulate the darkness to form a strong binding, since that one can easily slip."
"Come along, the hotel is in the Second District. The sooner we get there the sooner you can heal and feel warmth." The Amazonian turned on her heels taking lead of directions. Her steps clicked loudly with an echo as she walked up the cobblestone stairs and ground towards the large wooden doors the segregated all the districts to form their own unit.
"Right behind here," she pushed the door with ease without over doing it. Instantly she strolled towards the right where a sign illuminated with the word "Hotel".
Ten…centuries? She certainly did not look[/b] that old, but perhaps she was under the spell of some kind of curse or hex that caused her not to age. Maverick would consider that the worst form of punishment to endure, having to live forever while everyone you cared about withered away and being left alone again. He shuddered slightly at the idea and quickly replied to Jadis’ remarks on him turning into a child of darkness, which he was anyway.
”A child of…darkness,” he started as he followed the woman as they moved to the large wooden doors that led to the Hotel, ”I guess you can say that. Though it was never a choice I wanted to make…more like needed to take. My story would explain it all I suppose.” Maverick was again fell silent as the two passed into the next district and walked over to the hotel. But something did trouble Maverick, how could this woman talk so calmly about manipulating the darkness to ease his pain and not be the least most afraid of it? Was this supposed thousand year old lady a…a dark user herself? The troubled boy gingerly followed the woman keeping his eye sash tight to block even more of the light that was to come soon.

(lol George and Delilah <.< well I had to think of random names XD)
"I guess it would. Wouldn't it? Come along dear, no need to stay out in the cold much longer." With a gentle poke, the door opened as she walked inside without a glance to any of the employees.
She made a straight b-line towards a room. When the door opened, Maverick would notice that it was covered with the colors of dark blue. "Might as well choose a color that will absorb more light. Then again, I might not even keep the lights on for your sake."
Her words were concluded with a click, and the room was coated in darkness as the light switch flicked down. Jadis' eyes turned a darker green that looked remarkable close to black as she wandered in the dark. Raising her palm, ice started to swirl before constructing the frost in a sphere. The partial sphere was brought to her lips as she blew inside the opening she left to permit a glowing yellow ball inside of the ice lattern.
A navy blue table cloth decorated a table, the resting place for the only source of light in the room. Within a few minutes, she made more similar latterns before allowing them to float in the air as the yellow orbs burned light dim candles. She turned her head to notice that the boy haven't made himself comfortable yet.
"Come in come in, I did invited you here after all. You can take a seat unless you perfer standing," she slowly sat herself on a chair before her ankles crossed gently. "Anything to drink: mint tea, hot chocolate, warm eggnog?"
(Excuse the .023756789 amount of Power Play I did. With the tea)
Maverick followed the woman to her hotel room and saw that is was extremely well decorated and kept clean. The walls adorned with dark colors and dim lights and only the table and various other parts remained lit. It seemed...homey to say the least. Maverick walked in and sat at the table and felt the cloth on it, it was the finest and softest material he had ever seen, this woman was clearly more than meets they eye it seems.
"Oh, mint tea would do fine. Haven't had tea in over seventeen years. But I'll begin now with my story." Maverick reached over and took a drink of the tea that was set in front of him, he took a deep breath and began.
"As I assume you know, there are multiple worlds out there and that is where the tale begins. I grew up in a jungle planet named Eldrent. It was a small village ridden world, but I can't remember the name of the one I grew up in. I only knew my mother and I think my father left her around the time she told him she was pregnant, but I never wanted to find him." Maverick took another drink of the tea and set it back down as he sighed. He never liked talking about his mother and the village, it was the trigger that brought forth his true dark strength. But he continued nonetheless.
"I had a pretty normal childhood life, playing with friends, getting into trouble. The usual for kids. But one day while playing soccer with the other kids, I found my power of my skeletal structure. Unfortunately, I killed on of the girls playing soccer. I was immediately taken to jail and sentenced for trial. Ironically enough, the father of the girl I killed was the Judge. So I was banished from the village and the planet by the begging of one person. My mother. So, I went on walking through the woods and found a peculiar orb floating in a clearing." Maverick took another drink from the tea and continued.
"The instant I touched it, the orb went inside me and the Heartless surrounded me. I barely survived. Now I don't know if it was real or not but a cloaked man came before me and said I was going to be darkness. And thus I did, I came across a world called Radiant Garden and proceeded to cause trouble. I met a Nobody called Saix, who is hunting me down because I tried to infiltrate the Organization he was a part of and bring it down. I was a little naive at the time, it failed and he was ordered to kill me. But lets journey forward, saving a tale of almost dieing at the hands of a Heartless and other things. I am in Christmas Town and about to die. A young boy by the name of Sora healed me thus saving my life. I began to deviate from the Dark and sought refuge in the Light. It worked for a bit before I started having nightmares about my mother and my past. During which I would be in a dream-like state and attack people. A Heartless by the name of Elaeus wanted to recruit me into the Dark XII, the opposite of Organization XIII. I ran from him time and time again, but to avail. I ran into the dark realm to escape the one Elaeus sent in his place and that is where I gave in to the darkness once more. Deeper this time..."
Maverick let his voice cut off after that and waited for Jadis to respond. He took another drink from the tea and then felt like he was being watched by someone far away and not just by Elaeus. It was like the thing was peering into his mind and a name was all he could sense. Xavier?

The Ice Witch sipped away at her tea until it was all gone. This was definately a story of its own as the boy willingly poured a summary of his life story. She placed her cup on the table as he concluded. His pauses through his tale made her eyes softened. Like everyone, he had his hardships that were still effecting him today; she could see it in his eyes.
"So that will explain the immense darkness within you. You have been quite a busy boy dabbling with two mortal enemies in one liftetime; I can see how you would be exhausted through all of this. I may not know too much of each group personally, but I do wish they will grant some protection from this Saix."
"For one so young, you have been forced to adopt such life of struggles, especially with the chaos this world is going through. It forces alot of youth to grow prematurely and learn how to survive the worse storms of nobodies and heartless without realizing that perhaps their ambitions are leading them to their demise."
Her finger lightly tapped her teacup, and in response, it began to re-fill, "I will grant you protection in this world. You have a lot on your shoulders; at least one could help in alleviating some of that weight. Then again with me around, heartless and nobodies hardly harrass in my presence. Also it wouldn't be the first time I dealt with an Organization Nobody if this Saix wish to chase you here."
A brow perked as she sensed a polarity. A small smile grew on her lips, "How long has it been dear Xavier?"
The Cold Psychic was instantly in the room when his Mistress called his name. He gave an icy look at Maverick before he went to sit in the chair behind Jadis. Since Xavier was telekinetic, he heard the entire conversation from the start. He wasn't going to let a would be enemy be alone with Jadis even if she could kill him with no problem.
"Excuse my absence Lady Jadis, I got word of the Nobodies that attacked here and went to search for them. But to no avail, my search ended in failure. My apologies. But who is this...man?" Xavier gave another cold look to Maverick even from behind Jadis. He never was one to like un-introduced company.
Maverick shuffled in his chair when he saw a black coated man appear in the room, not out of surprise, but the sight of a long black cloak usually meant the Organization. The man was a Nobody, his dark scent stank of it. Maverick's mind then flashed to what Elaeus had said. He could be tracked too easily.
Maverick gave a cough to garner attention and spoke, "I'm sorry for not mentioning this earlier, but the one who...did this to my heart can easily track me and this place. Though I doubt he would want me to do anything extraneous at the moment."

"Xavier, this is Maverick. Maverick, Xavier," She introduced the two as she looked towards Xavier than back to Maverick.
Her eyes caught Maverick uneasiness and concluded it was because of Xavier. He always had an aura around him that put people on the edge. Her ears perked at Maverick's voice.
"Oh really? Well I hope he can be civil and not cause any ruckus, but Heartless will be Heartless."
Maverick eased in his chair as introductions were made, he was right, Xavier was the man who was peering into his head. He slowly got out of his chair and small orbs of darkness surrounded his finger tips on his left hand and he gave his good bye to Jadis,
”I’m sorry to leave so early but I really must be going. I enjoyed the tea Miss.Jadis, I must return to enjoy it again. Good bye…” Maverick held his hand behind him and the orbs floated outward and formed a portal as Maverick was walking back. He gave a glance over his shoulder to Xavier and turned back to the portal and walked through. Something about that man gave him a bad feeling. Xavier nodded as Maverick went into the portal and he took his place in the chair that was left empty. He itched the back of his ear and spoke to Jadis, ”Now that the nuisance is gone, I would like to talk to you about this man called Kuja. I picked up that name in that kids head, he must have heard it somewhere or from someone. But Kuja is the man you met during your first few days correct? But I do wonder why that mans name would be in the head of someone dealing with the Heartless…”

Jadis nodded at the boy and bid him a farwell. Her eyes shifted to their corners to watch him exist. It didn't surpised her that he traveled by corridors of darkness. Once he left, her eyes shifted towards her knight, Xavier. She had a feeling he would have something to say, especially with his long absense tracking Lexaeus and Marluxia.
Hearing the two syllables of a name, Jadis' head inclined and a brow quirked wondering where was this going and why he mentioned it. Drinking in this new information, her eyes darkened and narrowed, "I see."
She cleared her throat as more tea was summoned in her cup. Taking a sip, she made a short quick sigh, "Are you telling me that you suspect that Kuja is mingling with the same affliation that boy had drunkened himself with? How lovely they are so persuasive, but I wonder why are they expanding on those like Kuja and that child."
Her mouth swallowed another gulp full of tea with a kick of lemon, "It seems this universe is more unsteady than I would like. It sounds like everyone are scattering to particular sides leaving very few to put trust in. No matter, Kuja hadn't sought me out as of late, so we don't have to ring any alarms for now."
"While you were away, I have taken two apprentices under my wing: Antique and Mikael. They roam about this world and wish not for them to get ankle deep in such dangerous affairs...of those afflilates of the Organization and Heartless. I have a feeling with the Heartless expanding their horizon with subordiantes or whatever...trouble will follow. I wonder if its this world."
"It has already been threatened once, and it could be easily threatened again. What do you propose we do Xavier? If it's not this world, then it's surely another, but no matter what this world may share the same fate as many others. This world needs some sense of security or it will fall, and no world is falling while I'm inhabiting it."
Xavier brought his hands together and drummed his fingertips as he crossed his legs. The elongated nails made a faint clicking sound as each was brought together with the other. Xavier closed his eyes and tried to sense where Kuja/Maverick were, but couldn't pick up the latter. It seemed that Kuja is as skilled as hiding himself as he is at fighting, not that Xavier would know personally. But what troubled Xavier was that Kuja and this Maverick and possibly others have joined with the Heartless.
"What I'm saying is that we must not worry ourselves with Kuja for the time being. I think he sought to become a Heartless for whatever reason he saw to be acceptable and not for aggressive needs. Though I doubt he would simply go easy on anyone he fought but he knows where his allies are and that is what protects us from the main Heartless threat...for now. Even one like him must succumb to his superiors." Xavier stated as his eyes remained closed as he again tried to sense Kuja with only a glimmer of his scent reached him. He was here, in another district. As long as he didn't make his way here it should not be a problem.
But Xavier wanted to ask Jadis if he could track that man but decided not to, it seemed his dark scent had another attached to it and would most likely trigger some kind of reaction if he was stressed. Xavier continued anyway, "The most we can do to protect the people here is to warn them. Simply because we do not have adequate information to deduce what the motives are of Marluxia, that Organization, and the Heartless. But I do have one little piece. While trying to make a psychic connection with Marluxia, I kept seeing the fountain outside. For whatever reason, he seeks something in it or the fountain itself. An investigation into it would deem most worthy of our time would you agree"
