In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Long white sparkling garments made Jadis look like a star that twinkled its last time in the endless blue before landing in Traverse Town. A dust of blue and silver coated her eyelids contrasting her dark moss green eyes. Her lips were coated a bright lushful red as she sat on a bench alone, solo. She hardly had companions; the only one she had that she considered as such was her loyal wold Maugrim. She missed the beast so much with their long conversations when the Ice Witch didn't need him to run an errand or scan the lands. Now that he was dead, dead in another world, it was hard to not think back on him.
Idly without a second thought or consciously, she summoned ice in her hand humming softly to herself. It was an odd and old melody one that no one would've heard of unless they were from Charn. Jadis would be the only one left to know such tune as her fingers and nails pressed into the ice. From a far, it would look like she was fiddling with ice like juggling, but the chunk of ice was starting to mode underneath her minstrations. Her fingers started to dig and etch the frame making jagged fur into a four legged mammal, a wolf.
Oh my dear dear Maulgrim...
Placing it on her lap, the finished project, she began to make another figure. It didn't had any specific distinguishable figure, but it looked like a ball on a pillar, close to a pawn in chess. This one Jadis gripped tightly, while rubbing her thumb over the circular ball top. Crushing it, the pieces crumbled on the floor, and Jadis didn't even acknowledge it. Raising her hand, the pieces recollected in her hand. The ice whirled in a icy tornado before dispercing.
"I wonder if it snows here." Her voice was in a low whisper as frost escaped her lips.

Rellen had wandered around for what seemed quite a while, she had begun by just shopping at the various shops but now it seemed that she had wondered into an unknown place, one she had no idea about, one that she couldn’t find her way around.
Before she knew it she was well and truly lost. It was only when she saw a few flashes of blue in the distance that she wandered aimlessly towards it. She had no idea what she could do, what she should do but there was something alluring.
Finally she reached and that’s when she saw her, the most beautiful girl that Rellen had ever laid eyes on, one of those appearances that turned heads, worthy of that of a queen, the delicate hair, eyes as green as nature itself. She was the definition of a goddess.
She must have been staring at the beautiful girl for some time before she stated speaking. “ Oh… Im sorry I didn’t mean to intrude” she was just turning on her heels to walk away, the Moogle teddy bear attached to the back of her bag and had a shiny gem attached to its hand, the shiny gem glistened lightly before falling off and falling onto the floor. Rellen obviously didn’t know.

Ears perked hearing a voice, while direction Jadis' gaze towards the newcomer, who she concluded that she never seen the individual before. Looking her over, the identification was downloaded into her memory without a name to give the new file. She chuckled at the youth's lack of speech. Although she looked older than her twenties with her mature face and twinkle of age in her brown eyes versus the naive gleam found in adolescence, she would be always young compared to the empress.
"Oh no dear, you're not intruding. Actually you're visiting. Not a lot of people can find there way here, I can see why though; I think this is the southern hemisphere of Traverse Town. There's hardly much light in the other three districts, and without a town to inhabit this area they deem this worthy of being dangerous and something worth avoiding."
Jadis tapped the bench welcoming the young woman to sit with her, "I'm Jadis. And your name is..."

Rellen turned back towards the beauty slowly. “ Nice to meet you Jadis” She walked over towards and gracefully landed in the seat. “ Thank you for the offer, you may call me Rellen.”
The woman placed her bag onto the floor, leaning it against the table leg slowly before continuing to look at the woman called Jadis. “ So what has brought you to this darkest of places?”
She glanced around at the scenery trying to take it all in, there wasn’t much she could do for now, she was lost, hopefully this beautiful creature called Jadis could help her discover the way back out of this blackness but for now Rellen remained weary.
Rellen leaned back in her chair, letting a hand fall to her backpack she grasped the small shard from the top of it, if she needed it she could hopefully get away.

"Oh me, I'm here for recollection, looking back at in time. Even from here, these constellations look the same. There's less stars though thanks to all of the mishaps. I wonder how this town was so many years ago. I can't see how a world can flourish without any sunlight. Perhaps it is all temporary."
Jadis looked up to the sky. Wiggling her fingers, bright charged spheres flew up connecting some of the stars together; some of the links were broken. The spheres formed yellow lines between them to stars that could be linked together forming a picture.
"So what had brought you here? I don't get much company when I do come here."
Post by darkunslint on Nov 13, 2009 19:43:55 GMT -4
Rellen stared up at the sky as Jadis drew lines in the sky; the spheres came and warped around making Rellen feel a bit more comfortable. “I was just looking for synthesising supplies. I got bored and noticed nothing over this side.” Rellen shrugged lightly over towards Jadis before biting her lip.
“I was wondering… about the stars, certain ones seem to have gone… I wonder if they where devoured by the thieves of heart as well.” She mused, almost to herself rather than too Jadis. “ The stars going out cant be a good sign” She finished with a sigh.
She glanced up at the spheres, starting now to wonder what they was rather than the stars, planets etc etc. “ How did you form them” Rellen pondered staring up at them, the glow they had almost luring like a fly to a torch. “ I don’t know” she finished and started to shake her head from side to side.
She loosened her grip on the synthesizing materials in her hand, it seemed Jadis didn’t intended to fight or cause any problems so it should hopefully be ok… for now.

"No, it really isn't good. The natural balance is far off its normal scale," Jadis added to Rellen's previous comments about the stars. The Ice Witch sighed heavily as a puff of frost left her mouth.
"Oh those, they are little bundles of eletricity. Think about a lightening bolt tucked away into a ball. When you learn magic, you can make it bend to your wishes including its appearance and shapes."
Post by darkunslint on Nov 16, 2009 15:24:52 GMT -4
“Magick you say?” Rellen looked at the spheres slowly. “ Interesting, I've never been one for magick, Im more of a worker” she chuckled lightly at the mention of work even though her world was gone so she was technically unemployed. She let out a long sigh upon this realisation.
“What makes you come here?” she said slowly, observing the ice sculpture of the wolf, “ And they are really good, are you an artist?” it was then she noticed the breath, Jadis’s breath was icy, like she was in the arctic, but it wasn’t all that cold tonight, strange.
She glanced over and back up to Jadis, awaiting an answer from her.

"Aaah, a hands-on woman, I respect that. Well you my dear found the perfect place to land in. This world needs work. I'm glad to see one less soul, who would travel so naively. Some children these days don't know how truly dangerous times has become." Jadis pointed to the little stars that were left in the sky. They were dwindling down in numbers; surely that would be enough for children to be more careful or world bound versus their endless traveling. "Sure a hand full are aware of the danger, but not how in-dept. I guess some are too eager or have that stereotypical mindset that they're invincible to the point they don't see themselves throwing their lives away."
Jadis hummed at the question. "The peaceful silence. This world tend to have too much noise with all the screaming out of terror as the heartless and nobodies have their fill day. Even I can grow tiresome of all of that. They don't bother me, but they do disturb the peace." The Ice Witch lifted the sculpture admiring the detail, while rotating the piece between her fingers.
"Well magic is indeed an art, so I guess that would make me an artist. I must say that I'm more curious about you. You're a worker you said. What type of work do you specify? Perhaps it can come in handy with this world in particular."

Rellen glanced up to Jadis, she kept making it seem like she was calling Rellen a child, but from her estimates Rellen would almost be the same age as her. How old and who was Jadis?
She listened to what she had to say about the children though, it was true, nothing was getting done and people where not aware of the dangers until it was too late, the truth hurt.
She glanced back to the ice sculpture, truly only an artist could of created something as interesting.
“My work? Oh by trade im a Locksmith, I create locks, keys and can open pretty much anything…” She left out the part about failing to close the heart of her world. “ Also I can do a bit of synthesising. Its how I create my keys and locks, I add shards and whatnot together to create the keys that fit in locks. Its all quite boring really.” She tried to sound nonchalant about it.
“If it can help this world,” she pondered for a moment. “ The I would do it… I hate the thieves of heart, if we could stop them I could help rebuild.”

"Stopping them is like stopping nature. In a way and sense, you can't, because they would continue their existence no matter how much one hates them or wish them all dead. All we can do is prevent and restore. Keys and locks you say. That may come in handy...to lock away what needs to be locked and hidden. The only values that would be stolen are those they we can't put locks on like people and this world, but I'm sure that skill of yours would indeed come in dire need."
Her brows knitted together as she thought in-dept and wonder. "Perhaps, you can aid on a far more greater scale." The Ice Witch then shrugged. "Anything is possible."

Perhaps, you can aid on a more far greater scale. Anything is possible
The words rang out through her, these words had been spoken before, they where similar to the words that her queen told her when she made her leave her world to find a way to stop the heartless getting the heart.
Slowly she through the words over and over. " If I could help..." she stopped, " I doubt I could, But If I can tell me, I will do anything to help stop things" she didn’t really understand what she was saying, it was meant to come out better than it did, Ahhh heck with it, she wanted to help and that was that.
"Sorry" she said, not totally sure what she was apologising for, thinking something about her babbling.

"There's nothing to be sorry about, especially when it's excitement and motivation to help. Well first there can be security places for individuals to flee to if the town becomes to hazardous, but special locks and keys would be needed to keep the unwanted from coming in. I can easily put an magick block entry in enclosed areas," Jadis tapped a finger against her chin.
"Also with those shards you make lock and keys, I'm sure you can make other things with it. It's about time this town learn how to defend itself a mere pot, pan, and a little blade won't do now in these days. You can easily start a business enhancing objects with your synthesizing. With that and magic, who knows what good use could be produced from that. But with a business, you'll need a place, a workshop in a sense." Jadis then looked up to the skies trying to formulate a picture. "The possibilities, the possibilities."

((Sorry, really short, mind going poof))
“Oh… but I couldn’t take money from people if its help…” Then she considered it, it sounded like a good plan, the bit about making the safe areas especially good. “ But Synthesising gems aren’t free…” she sighed lightly looking at the soft cool sky before continuing. “ But I could make a difference here,” Even if I failed at home the last part wasn’t spoken; only thought.
She stared at Jadis before she finally said. “ What should I do Jadis?”

"Well if you don't want to charge people for help, then have them help you. I'm sure you don't have everything you need in abundance in your inventory. Plus this world does need a sense of community. Also you can always give the naive children something to do instead of their naive quest to run after heartless and nobodies." With a glowing palm of her hand, ice collected before forming into one that looked similar to Rellen. "With a common purpose, all of the little figurines can come together."
"You should find a little settlement where you shall practice this little study. I'm sure this town would ask for many request in assistance to keep them safe. Actually, you can start a little project in enhancing the locks to people's houses as I can cast a protective shell in the interior for heartless and nobodies can't go inside. With that it would require involvement of the townspeople, and with that much attraction, business will follow."
