In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

Plainly speaking, I need the members here to help me with this decision. Sephiroth and Leon both expressed that they feel Sora should be the only one to wield the KeyChains given to him originally in the KH games. Currently, Sora only wields his Kingdom Key and other wielders wield the other original Keyblades.
I, in all honesty, disagree and have agreed to create a poll and address the members.
So I don't have to restate myself, this is a quote from me from a different thread:
Of course. I just feel that making many new keyblades would be very difficult... People need to be willing to make them not just for themselves but for others to use as well. It's just that in this RP why would Sora need all of those keyblades? We don't have stats so changing keyblades for a power boost would do nothing for him. His Kingdom Key has the same strength as the Star Seeker in the RP, so I don't understand why he needs them all with him anyway.
Your concept is very understandable in game reality. I just don't see its purpose here.

I see both sides of the argument. There really isn't a reason for Sora to have all of the keychains for the particular blades. There would be an advantage or...disadvantage unless..it have an distinctive ability like one only allowed to use one element.
I also see the open door for creativity of fan made keyblades. But who will make them? the wielder or someone else? If so the keyblade will have to be speculated to not have a Mary Sue key.
Why? Because dammit, it makes sense to me. I don't think Sora would go all "Oops, ou est mes keychaînes?" (yes, fear the french...) and just, sure, he may not use them all, but who's to say he wouldn't? He may not have a need for them, but I'm positive he wouldn't give away things with such powers away like candy.
Original characters -- Original keyblades... Makes sense to me.
The keyblades that Sora has all represent some great memories. Even the keyblade that the Moogles made (Ultima) was made with materials gathered from all the worlds, each with their own set of memories. So even if people get the same keychain, and it changes their keyblade, it would not have the same power as it had with Sora.
The keyblades should all have a base form though, something like the Kingdom Key.
However, I think that the keyblades should not be taken away from the people who already had them, without replacing them. 2¢!
When I play Sora, I typically try to keep all of the keychains in mind when he makes ready to do battle. His friends are his power, and this is represented in the different forms his weapon takes.
The Kingdom Key is its most basic form, perhaps symbolizing his potential, however there are days when he needs Kairi's memory to keep him going to strong, so he summons Oathkeeper. There are some days when he needs Hercules' bravery, and Axel's staunch perseverance, or the patience and calm from Winnie The Pooh's World. He draws on all of these things to make him who he is; he earned them.
I think it would be very appropriate to have someone delegate Original Keyblades/chains to both canon and non-canon characters during the course of rp.
A lot of those keyblades were gifts, prizes, or other things that Sora specifically earned. I'm not against originals having them, but only if they have bloody good reason. You want Sleeping Lion? You better have impressed Leon SIGNIFICANTLY in the past. Not enough to just say this, either, Splink would have to agree.
Basically, yes. I agree that original characters should, in general have original keyblades. It makes sense. However, if they can prove that they did the same thing that Sora did to earn them, I don't see why they couldn't have canon ones- they just wouldn't be unique. Sora wouldn't stop having his just because someone else has one.
Pretty much summed up as above. Considering the Keyblade is a thing of magic, entirely dependent on the user... it doesn't make sense for anyone else to have Sora's keyblades. I mean, even when Riku stole it in KH1, it was no longer the Kingdom Key or any of the other keyblades. It was something new altogether.
That's how I feel this issue should be handled. Like everyone who posted before, I agree that Keyblades Sora earn throughout his adeventures belong to him, and him alone. Be they prizes, gifts, whatever, they're his -- they're special to him.
I agree that original characters should have original Keyblades. The issue with coming up with them? *raises her hand* Well, I for one would enjoy creating original Keyblades for anyone who warrents one -- I find it all quite fun. Just give me a prompt and I'll work off that.
You know it might be interesting to see characters actively give Keychains. I could totally see Bert the Chimney Sweep being all, "There ya go, govnah'. Fo' good luck!"

That's an idea worth considering right there, dear Aryn. *applauds*

Sure, maybe, but... not just so that people can be pulling off 'black market' sorts of deals. So, once again, (da da da da~) I'm bringing out the large, obnoxious favouritism building block! People can dual-wield, we have but a few... with this, we may see more than one arising >> I've nothing wrong with that, but a keyblade is special, can't just be handing them out willey nilley, can we?
Just so long as there's someone fairly moderating who's given what and can happen or just... eh, so long as it's not like you tricking your younger sibling to take your raisins for a brand new chocolate bar come Halloween, then it could work. I just know that friends giving friends keyblades for reasons that can't quite be proved to arise.
*shrugs and puts the favouritism block back in its case beside the fangirl farm and Twilight brick*
This is what I put in the other Version 5.0 Thread:
We know that there are Keyblades. Sh*tloads of 'em (KH2 Secret Ending). What happened with all those, we've no idea. What we can be sure of is that all of the Keyblades we've seen in the games are exclusive to those characters (Otherwise, how else would Kairi have ended up with the flowery Keyblade?). New Characters = New Keyblades, I say.
Seems to me, even if two people were to get a keychain from the same person, the blades would come out looking different. It's a reflection of both the heart of the wielder and the giver. They are an inherently individual thing.
Also, we're up to at least twenty cents already! XD
I agreed with most everyone already. Sora should keep his own keychains. They, as said before, were either prizes or gifts that were specifically given to him, no one else. Original characters should have original keyblades ... even if originals got the same keychain, as pointed out by someone else, the keyblade would take on a different form for that character due to how that character has been developed. I, like Lin, don't mind making OC keyblades. IN FACT, I have some made already.
