In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Well, King Mickey has started creating a resistance against the Heartless and Nobodies using all of the Keyblade wielders. The Keyblade has been choosing many, many new wielders in order to build up the King’s armies. In order to reveal the Dark XII’s ambitions, Mickey has sent Sora and a few others (some wielders) into their territory posing as Heartless. Hopefully, they’ll be able to speak face to face with Ansem and then escape with their lives intact…

A question on Canon character profiles.
Say, for example, I wanted to play Pete (I don't, but he seems like the best example for this question).
Over the course of the KH games he interacts with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Maleficent, Riku, Sora, Hades, Scar's Phantom, and Captain Barbossa. Would I need to get permission from the players for each of these characters before I could submit a character proposal for Pete? Would I be covered by the fact that all of these interactions happen on-screen during a KH game?
What if I instead wanted to play Bit? Bit doesn't ever appear in a KH game, but in the source movie he spends some time as Tron's sidekick. Would I need the permission of Tron's player to include the character in Bit's background, or would I be covered so long as I stayed to interactions depicted in the movie?

=3= If you're playing a canon that have CANON interactions with other CANONS then you don't need permission, because it's...CANON.
Also as KH:WD we go mostly by Kingdom Hearts canon not the movies really, since the canon information was inspired and based off the movie, but 'isn't' the movie. So in the case of Bit, yes you would need permission, because he's non-existenct in the Kingdom Hearts game...which is what we're going by.
D: And here I got all excited as Maleficent's RPer....
In regards to what Ellie said, if I can assume correctly (Staff please correct me if I am wrong), if the Canon has not yet been made, then permission to include is not necessary provided it is not too non-canon. For example, creating Vitani in the Pride Lands with no Simba and saying that Vitani secretly wanted to kill Nala so she could have Simba for herself wouldn't work. But if it seems as though it would be canon, you wouldn't need to ask for permission. Staff would pretty much give it by accepting the profile.
Though if you do include a canon character in your profile that doesn't have an RPer yet, when someone does create that character, be sure to let them know what you included in your profile so you can work it out completely with them and so they are up to speed. Same for if someone does have the character, you get permission, they leave the site, and someone else comes and makes that same character, but doesn't know. Just let them know what happened before so there won't be confusion.
I think she meant what if you make a custom that you want to have a connection to a canon. Then you need permission, from both the staff, and the person who runs the character.
The staff gives permission when they accept or reject. Though they may tell you that your character can't ever have a connection cause it would be too wierd, or would twist the accepted canon too much
Like I said before. Characters you made up yourself are called: original characters Yes you can have original or "made up" characters. I play 3 of them myself. It's all there in the board "character registry" it has all the answers you seek.
