In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

Sorry guys. The initial registration list has been filled, so V is on the Waiting List now. If that fills up then we'll add another round to the tournament.
If anyone wants to pull out, let us know. Some people would love the extra space. ;] (Or on the converse, if fifteen more people want to enter, that works just as well.)
LAST CALL FOR STRUGGLE REGISTRATION - closing tonight!
Akira has been removed due to confirmed future absences, so V has been put on the registered list. Please mention NOW if you'd like to withdraw your character.
Characters on the waiting list still have a chance to participate if confirmed entrants drop out or go MIA once the first round begins.
Contestants will battle for a duration of twenty posts (ten each) for the first two rounds, thirty posts (fifteen each) for the Semi-finals and Championship. All will wield one of the three Struggle bats presented at the beginning KHII. Magical abilities will be suppressed while in the ring. Strength of both contestants will be slightly leveled.
General ( Continuing information from the first post )
IC Objective: Battle with Struggle bats to knock as may orbs from your opponent as possible - while still maintaining possession of your own.
IC Rules:
• Most styles of physical fighting are permitted, so long as the Struggle bat is in at least one had at all times. If you loose your grip, though, so be it. The point is that the bats shouldn't be ignored in favor of hand-to-hand or other physical combat. (This is to ensure that each Struggle battle remains a Struggle battle, not a wrestling match.)
As for using the opponent's fallen bat, I suppose that may happen as well. But when making a grab for a bat, it would look better to the judges to give your opponent a chance to get it before you. (Or kick it away, ect.)
• As mentioned, no magic or special abilities allowed. When in doubt, contact a judge. • By leaving the arena before the match is over one automatically forfeits the round. • If a match gets dangerous to the point of permanent damage for either participant, the host will step in and halt the battle. This is Twilight Town, not the Coliseum. Knockouts may occur. Severed limbs, however, are. . . frowned upon.
OOC Objective: Roleplaying the battle cleverly and fairly is every bit as important as causing the most damage. Show off your skills, both your character's moves and how you RP them!
OOC Rules:
• No godmoding or powerplaying. Give others a chance to respond to attacks. Basically, stick to general battle rules. • Do NOT mention the specific orb count. They do exist IC, but winners will not be decided based on their number. • If you notice the other player make a technical mistake, shoot them a PM. If you find they are being unfair in any way, contact a judge.
Preliminary Round
Match 1: Doogie vs. Kairi Match 2: Max vs. Arthas Match 3: The Shark vs. Arlan Match 4: Mordecai vs. Mikhail Match 5: Renzo vs. V Match 6: Iggy vs. Hero Match 7: Rose vs. Wakeer Match 8: Shiro vs. Synthest
Please PM me for comments on the pairs. Some rearranging can occur if the reasoning is sound.
Once the threads are up, feel free to ask any questions you may have! I apologize - I was planning to have them up tonight, but time got away with me.

Alrighty, Rose it is! ;] I'll try to get the threads up tonight.
And a good question, Shun. I suppose just one bat. A double wielder would probably have an advantage, defeating the same aspect of a Struggle that dictates no magic or personal weapons.
another question regarding whether or not the bat must remain in one hand at all times: What if one contestant disarms his/her opponent? In that case, is the disarmed character allowed to fight with his/her hands for the rest of the match, or until they get their struggle bat back?
Also, if your character manages to disarm their opponent, will they be able to use their struggle bat as well as their opponent's until their opponent takes it from them?
Alrighty - the point is that the bats shouldn't be ignored in favor of hand-to-hand or other physical combat. If you loose your grip, so be it.
And as for using the opponent's bat, I suppose that may happen as well. But when making a grab for a fallen bat, it would look better to the judges to give your opponent a chance to get it before you. (Kicking it away seems to me a smarter idea in any case.)
