In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Okay... Rook had a Keyblade as of the Dark Keybalde contest, the BlackJack.
Are you all now saying that was all for nothing, and everyone who had/earned a Keyblade prior has no say in getting one back?
If so, pardon my saying, this whole habit of changing the rules on everything the higher-ups have been on the past two days is really a drastic turn for the worse.
No, those keyblades still stay. Roxas meant the ten that were given to the list. Venomous Edge, Traitorous Knight (I think that was Seifer's o-o) and all those others... Last Breath, Blackjack and Sustained Deception are gonna stay, along with everyone else's.
So yeah... all keyblades stay that were earned prior.
*pulls a FLuffee* In other news...
I liked the Wannabe thread... as long as it stays active it wouldn't be a problem. But I mean... like, staff should have final say on the wielders, that way it's more than just one person's opinion. That way we're watching the right people and making sure someone who wants it is getting a blade.
Ok, phew. I take back my words of lacking-faith. I wasn't clear on the whole thing, and I've been looking forward to using a Keyblade.
-shrug- The Wannabe thread will work if it doesn't get clogged up with noobs, methinks. Y'know, like those people who have joined the site five minutes prior and go "hoW i get keyblad?" repeatedly on the CBox. -coughs-

Umm..
What about if the OC did good for the other characters, it's the time the Keyblade chooses one? Let the staff look for members that those characters are helpful to others in threads..
Examples like when a group of Heartless are attacking people, the OCs help those people by defeating those Heartless..
Or put another contest for Light and Dark Keyblades made by other members?
Just helping..
PM me or reply if you don't understand my post here.
((I want a Keyblade, too! Hehehe..)) ((Really, I want a Keyblade. But I'll do my best in RPing to become a Keyblader. I'm always active, anyways..))

What if we made a password to the Wielder Wannabe thread? In order to get the password, you'd have to reach a reasonable post count that you couldn't just half-arse your way to. Once you reach it, you could PM one of the mods. The mods would take a quick browse through your posts to make sure they aren't spam posts, then they could PM you the password. That could be like sort of a preliminary judgment.
And, to make sure no newbies infiltrate our precious thread, we could put up a penalty to anyone who squeals on the password.

I actually like that idea presented by Mutoman: G/L/R/X. Its pretty much giving it to people who have been here and have quality RP ability. Then in the Wielder Wannabe thread, the staff further decides who deserves the keyblade. It seems like a pretty good plan in my point of view.
Firstly: We aren't miracle makers. You think we have all this free time in the world? Doubt it. Probably the most active staff member right now is Leon, and I'm sure she wouldn't want to be flooded with PMs about people being done and wanting keyblades.
Secondly: Posts can be deleted, yet still count. Our archives were deleted long ago, and then you can't get those posts back, we can't be sure if people posted much in there or if they really did it truly. People can rack up a bunch of points in a short amount of time, trust me... I got around 200 in the first 2 or 3 weeks I was here.
Thirdly: Dude! It's a keyblade! We aren't going to moderate everyone's posts that try out! That's way too much time off on our backs. Look, we're on this site to have fun, moderating can be done while having fun if done properly, but if we're given too much work it's not going to work
Fourthy...ly: There are enough passwords on this site already. I know I already have to remember the password to my account, the staff board, the Register to RP board... Another one I have to memorize is just too much. Also, it's bothersome to send out PMs saying the same thing at different times.
Fifthly: How are we supposed to tell if someone squeals? We'll all just assume another person gave them the password. There's 12 people on staff, some people are on good terms, others.... well, you might have seen a few stars fly here and there. Communication isn't simple....
Alright... now. To sum this all up: Step into our shoes, imagine the profiles we have to look through (Okay... now imagine Leon was attacked by bunnies and can't get to the profiles before any of us ^^;; ) and moderating the boards, deciding on future things. Would you want to be tending to something else that's practically untraceable? Don't say yes or you're bloody lying or you enjoy reading mountains of text with no benefit whatsoever!
Simply... why not have the thread open for... One week per month. That way active people get the blades, we can tell off the bat if they're good RPers since we'll see them frequently. That way it's less work, those who deserve them get it, and all's done. Then, after the week we close it. Think of it like the activity check board that comes up >> but as a thread that'll always be up, or something. *shrugs*
EDIT: Did you read all my post? That's right! Not fun, huh? Now imagine doing that around 300 times over or more! Not.fun.at.all. >D Checkmate, mate!

I agree with Yuffie's last paragraph, but why not have one staff member who's title is [The Keeper Of The Keys], and they deal with choosing who is a good RPer, and deals with the deep dives. And that is their only responsibility.

Awww... well, it seemed like a good idea at the time of posting. Kinda like communism...or maybe not...I don't know.

Ohohohohohoh.
We could do that whole keyblade wannabe list again and whatnot, or use others' ideas for that, but stealing a bit from Gorrad 'n' changing it up, we could choose the keyblade for the wielder, that way there's an element of surprise, it does in fact seem at least somewhat random, and really, only people who want keyblades and are good rpers get them
The whole problem with a thread for it though is that n00bs will post in it regardless. They'll think that they're good rpers and post there and say they want a keyblade and when the staff say no, they'll all start complaining (well, may be not all...but you get the idea). I'm for the idea of staff looking at the different characters who, in some cases, do good things and would get a good keyblade, while those who do evil deeds would earn evil keyblades if they're good and do enough evilness. I think, though, that we shouldn't permit any situations like Roxas and Aros with any other character because, with this system, I garuntee we'll get at least a few people who will make a heartless/nobody and demand a keyblade for whatever reason pops into their head first. I also don't think the post count idea is a good one because of what Yuffie mentioned earlier. Deleted posts will count regardless. I'm for the activity, but if the person hasn't been around for some reason, the staff shouldn't really count it against them unless it was just random vanishing. If the person has something in the going away board, obviously they aren't going to be around as much (I've been robbing everyone of their compys to get online, so yeah....still don't have mine back though).
So yeah, I'm for the staff just looking at different characters, what they do, what kind of character they are, and every now and then tossing a keyblade someone's way. It'll keep the n00bs away and it'll allow the staff peace of mind when it comes to deciding.
