In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

"I believe that 95% of conflict stems simply from miscommunication and misunderstanding." --Marcy Cole
I agree with this, and I think we've witnessed a mass miscommunication/misunderstanding.
In addition to sitting on the hands and holding your tongue until one has cooled down, I believe it's also important to try and get into the other person's shoes. The Staff members have a bajillion and counting applications to go through daily. If they didn't sugar-coat something for you and just got the point across to the best of their ability as efficiently as possible, it's probably because you're one of several others they're volunteering to go through that day, in addition to keeping up with their own threads and busy lives. Just sayin'.
I'm not saying this as an excuse for the Staff to be rude at all; in fact, perhaps the Staff should reflect as much as the original Poster. But I would like to add an additional point to glean from this:
-Perhaps we should add a note requesting that new members try and understand the intentions of the Staff, and a disclaimer, if you will, that they don't intend to come off as rude when going through applications. By doing so, I think it would help with the whole misunderstanding / miscommunication bit.
That's just my two cents.
Marrow, my apologies about the door. Maybe it shouldn't have been constructed in the first place.
