Calling Proboards Skin GFX Artists

So I know that there are new Plotting concepts going around for WD's forward advancement. With that, I have been in conversation a few times with individuals who feel a new skin would help liven the place up, so I'm wondering : is anyone willing to work on this?

If no one steps up to the plate, I can work on it in my free time, but it would be most appreciated if anyone has Graphics capabilities and wants to step up to the plate (or even share and do 50% with me) - I'd be adoring that! Just let me know either here or on Skype at: Swiftblaidenorie. =3

Cadey and I talked about it briefly thinking it would be jumping the gun because of v5. Also we were thinking a banner contest to see if it will stimulate others to participate. Also I think it would be a nice back-up to have a tester sight with a v5 enabled, because I know our codes will be disabled when the new version is enacted. Also some codes are replaced with simple plug-ins.

^ That's what everyone else is doing. The resource sites (OtE and BTN and the likes) are all compiling all of their v5 knowledge, experience, and codes so if you want to learn quickly and efficiently hit them up.

But banners, sotm's, etc are ridiculously fun and I miss them very much ;_;

I'm currently making a betazone copy of my test site to v5; it will take a while for the copying to be complete.

I've been playing around with the new v5. It kills and/or warp every code. There is a site I visit for codes, and they pretty much stated that all of their v4 codes won't be supported by v5. This overall changes are aesthetics.

The test I have up now previously used the same layout and codes as WD. Upon copying the site and converting to v5, that's what it looks like.

The banner is scaled down. I can make it taller, but I can't control the width just yet.

The tabbed table won't accurate. With this version being fairly new, there isn't any codes to replicate what we want. As of now the only thing available for people who aren't familiar with coding are plug-ins, like the side peek-a-boo tables.

We cannot get images for every category.

I think cboxes still work, but I can't find away to make a mere box to put it in neatly. They do however have a shout box; I don't know just yet how much control we'll have in banning people. If so, then they may be blocked by the site entirely since the shout box is a proboards feature.

Hiya Ellie, Syn. Thank you both for responding. Before I noticed the newer post by Ellie, I went ahead and formulated my own Test Board here: liyricatestboard.proboards.com/.

I was able to find side-tables and such. I've yet to play with more GFX but I began finding some codes / plug in. I've got LOTS more GFX work to be done, too. But this was my take on my start. If anyone wants to migrate that way and help out, I'll give them log-in info for the admin and such. I trust willing individuals to help out, and I'm not worried about 'breaking' anything, since v5 is basically the biggest break ever, and everything else done to it can be seen as some sort of improvement... >.>

Anyway, that's my take and my test board. It's different from the one previously linked, color-scheme and all, but do let me know if anyone wants to help out. Otherwise, I'll be dedicating much of my free time to fixing GFX for the incoming v5, etc.

Cbox is fixed finally. Sort of. Give me a short while and I'll make stuff happen- at the moment I'm simply having issues making it pretty. It's easy enough to create the tables, but proboards has changed the way you style them.
