In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

This place, this dark desolate refuge of a world was once something radiant. Twilight Town was once a world to challenge the homey undertones of Traverse Town, the sunsets beautiful to behold, the doll remembering the sunset's vividly during his trips to this place. Now, everything was in ruin, with nary a shred of light to be found. That didn't stop Haru from trying, as it only fueled his resolve. As soft, felt pawpads would walk across the ruins of the railway, gold and blue eyes would survey the surroundings, trying to analyze how long it would take to climb up a broken set of stairs, or to see if one could leap over a gap in the tracks.
"Impossible" wasn't a word that Harukaka took to heart, seeing it as more of a challenge that others were too afraid to take. Understandably, the more human Somebody's would be afraid of falling to their deaths, or drowning if they fell off the tracks and into the ocean below. These impossible to reach places, they would be the best places to hide something.
As the purple moonlight shined down through the broken windows and faintly illuminated the dusty, destroyed train station, Harukaka came across one of the dilapidated train cars, a shadow of it's former glory as it was covered in dents and massive scrapes where rocks had fallen upon it. However, it was one of the few trains left sitting upon it's rails.
"Hm, if I can figure out how to get you moving..." The feline doll talked to himself, his voice barely audible above his breath as he paced. Even if the full set of tracks were busted, he could at least take the train part way, and continue the journey on his own. Time was not a factor for Harukaka, for if he wanted to reach a destination, all he would need to do is set his mind to it, and he would find some way there. Still, it would be nice to have someone operate the train, or at least be tall enough to spot an obstacle or missing set of tracks.

"This is Cora Williams of the away team. Touching down now." In a very brief stream of light, the young child-like girl appeared on the ground.
"This is Cora Williams, having made touch down upon desolate planet- whoa! Desolate is right. I thought I was just pretending there. What the heck happened on this world, did it get wrecked? This is the most wrecked place I ever-" One brief glance out of the side of her eye was all she needed to realize she was not alone. She was quick to try and hide behind one of the overturned trains that was there.
Hoookay, there is a someone there. Danger sense going crazy here! Maybe they didn't notice me? Please don't notice me, please don't notice me, please don't notice me...
Already she was looking for an escape avenue. If she could get away from him before she was noticed, she should be alright. It's been a long time since she's done this, so she worries that her skills may have diminished. Now was a good a time as any to test this.
Let's see... I can climb the downed trains... maybe make my way to that one intact train. Theeen... if I can quietly get to the nose... I can jump off and bolt for the exit. Even if they did noticed me by that point, I should be able to outrun them! Hookay... mission... start!
As quietly as she could managed, she climbed onto the downed trains. There was a little bit of clumsiness due to her not being used to this new terrain, but for the most part she was very successfully quiet. At least she hoped she was quiet.
All that was left was to make the jump to the in tact train. She was almost home free.
Okay! I'm ready for this! Here goes! One... two... three!!! She made the jump and created what was possibly the loudest clanging a person could make on a huge chunk of metal.
She froze and locked her eyes on the other person there, waiting to see if he would turn to face her or try to shrug it off as just some cat running around. Cats make loud noises like that every so often, right?
Despite what one might think, being a doll of a feline did not mean that he had impaired hearing. He could hear very clearly hear the young woman speaking, in such an empty station, it was hard for sound not to travel. Still, Harukaka kept to himself, his ears twitching every now and then to see where this third party was going. Harukaka realized that there was no way he would get very far if the train tracks would be warped, and sighed in frustration, almost considering walking along the tracks with his incredible balance assisting him in crossing.
However, before he could start planning out his course, he must of heard the clumsiest landing he had the privileged to witness. Naturally, he turned his head to the young girl, and was actually rather shocked to see her size. The young girl looked like she was no older than ten years old, and it was baffling for Harukaka to have found someone like her in a place like this.
The doll was quick to turn to face her, wanting to ask what she was doing in such a dangerous place, but he stopped dead in his tracks, feeling trembling from the floor as he quickly realized that the ground was very unstable. Before the ground even started to give way under the intact train, Harukaka was half way towards the young girl, moving with surprising speed considering his size.
Blue and gold eyes watched as the train swiftly started to sink into the earth, red hood blowing back and revealing his black furred, feline face as fear filled eyes gazed at the girl, an arm wrapping around her back as he would tackle her off of the collapsing car. Reaching out, Haru's free hand grasped onto the newly created ledge as the train car fell into the darkness below, a metal claw granting the black cat doll purchase.
"Hey kid, you alright?? What are you doing in a place like this?!" Haru would ask, holding tight to the girl as he gazed up at his arm, trying his best to pull the both of them back up, a feat that would have been easy for him if he had both arms to work with.

Her whole world froze when the two saw each other. They saw her. There was no doubt in her mind that they saw her. Should she bolt now while she had the chance? It was likely that he wouldn't give chase.
Then her senses brought to her attention a new problem. The train was unstable. A moment later, the train was sinking. This was an obvious indicator that it was time to run. She very nearly did run, turning around to try and dash for more solid ground. However, she felt something grab at her, pulling her with them at an impressive speed.
Before she had a chance to register what happened, she found herself dangling in the air. Her arms and legs dangled almost helplessly as she stared down into the dark abyss.
Ironically, this completely overwrote any initial fears she may have had with the strange cat person.
Wait a minute...
"You're a cat!" She exclaimed almost excitedly, "And a very mobile kitty at that! I've never seen any cat like you, you're so awesome! I really shouldn't be this excited while we're still in danger, should I?" She looked at the ledge they were hanging from. It seemed sturdy enough.
"Um... before I answer your question, would you mind if I climbed up onto that ledge? I get the feeling that would help us both." Already she was scanning for potential foot holds. Unfortunately, the only good foot holds she could find was her own rescuer. "Oh... let me re-phrase... would you mind if I climbed on you so I could get up on the ledge?" She gave a sheepish smile.
"Whatever you're gonna do, just go ahead and do it missy!" Harukaka growled, his claws slowly starting to scrape down the foothold, tiny rocks trickling down and bouncing off his shoulders and head, loosening his grip on the young girl so that she could climb up to safety. After all, he knew he could survive the fall, as he had no real bones to break from such a drop. But this young girl...she wouldn't fare as well.
Another passing second, and Harukaka's claws continued to scrape down from their combined weight, and with a distinct crack, Harukaka knew that this "good" foothold wasn't going to last much longer. Not wanting to waste any more precious time, Harukaka slowly pulled himself as high as he could with his arm, giving this stranger far less distance to travel when she would start her ascent.
A loud clang and crash could be heard below them, the train finally settling down at the bottom of the chasm and making the ground shake. There wouldn't be much time for this stranger to get up, and if she didn't, then they would surely both fall.
"Come on, go!" Harukaka yelled in frustration, not wanting this impromptu rescue to be for nothing. If Haru could sweat, there wouldn't be a bucket big enough to contain the amount he would have produced in that moment.

Don't have to be told twice! Hesitation flew out the window as she started to pull herself up the feline's body. A hand gripped onto his shoulder to help pull her up. A foot pressed down on his knee to help push him up. She struggled to get to the ledge where she was. It was just close enough that she could almost reach it.
Growing frustrated, she place a foot on his shoulder and another foot on his head. This made it much easier to grab the ledge. A good three seconds later and she was safe on solid ground. She was all to happy to lay on her back.
"That was scary... Oh gosh, Mr. Cat!" she cried out, getting back to her feet and crawling to the edge. She held out a hand for him, not thinking of if he actually needed it or not.
The feline doll grunted and grumbled, closing his eyes and lifting up his other arm to aid in keeping himself hanging. It would have been easier for him to get up now that the young girl was offering her hand, but as Harukaka reached out, the ledge he clung to gave way, and he immediately started to plummet. Thankfully, his paw was able to grasp the young girl's hand, his other arm quickly clawing at the remaining footing. With little effort, he pulled himself back up, panting softly in relief as he stepped away from the dark abyss.
"Well, that was exciting! Now, what are you doing in here, kiddo? Where are your parents?" Harukaka started, keeping himself calm when his "blood" was still pumping. However, he quickly realized how rude he was being, asking a scared young woman her motives without even asking for her name! Not to mention, Harukaka never even introduced himself, so of course she would call him things like "Cat Person" or "Mr. Cat".
The doll was very quick to correct himself, holding up a paw to pause whatever the young miss would say, and interjected, "Hold on, where are my manners! I haven't introduced myself. My name is Harukaka, I'm a chef who's currently staying in Twilight Town. Who might you be?"

That was a scare she could have done without. Whoever this cat was, they had split second timing. The moment she felt his paw latch onto her hand, she pulled back with as much strength as her body could allow. She ended up falling on her back the moment he was back on solid ground, but that was a small price to pay just to know that he was safe.
"Oh gwad, oh geez, never again, this place is dangerous," she whinged before realizing that she was being spoken to. She quickly popped back into a sitting position.
"Harukaka, huh?" She said, tilting her head and deep in thought. "You look like a Harukaka! I'm Cora! I'd introduce my friends if I had any!"
Hey! What about me?!
"Oh, and there's Mana, but I doubt you'll be able to see or hear her. Grown ups never do for some reason," Cora said, pouting her lips. She then shook her head. "I'm new here! I'm an out of towner! So, this place is called Twilight Town, huh? Kind of fitting, what with the creepy cool night time it has going for it!"
The echo of rocks hitting the bottom only reminded her of how dangerous this place alone was. It did very little to help her anxiety.
"Um... any chance we can get out of here? Preferably now? Before the ground decides to eat us up again?"
A tilt of his head would signal the feline doll's confusion, wondering who Cora was speaking to at the mention of "Mana". Being so young in appearance, Harukaka wanted to assume that she was just talking to an imaginary friend, but with how crazy everything was, it wasn't a good idea to be quick to judge. With a flick of his wrists, his claws slipped back into his sleeves, the cat smiling and nodding to Cora, "I agree, as much as I'd like to stay and keep looking around, I can't afford to get other people hurt."
Without thinking or asking, Harukaka scooped Cora up into his arms, lifting the young girl and making a swift retreat to the entrance, moving far faster carrying the human girl than just walking together with her. He couldn't risk another collapse, and knew that they needed to get out now, before anything came running to the loud noises.
Upon exiting the building, the plaza just outside of the train station was just as barren as it was when Harukaka arrived. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Haru gently set Cora back onto her feet, backing a few steps away from her before bowing, "Sorry about that, I knew we'd both get out faster if I carried you. So, what's a little kid like you doing in a place like that? And where are your parents, anyway? I'm sure they're worried sick about you,"
The doll was completely oblivious as to how old Cora truly was, then again, his own age was rather deceptive since he didn't have any human features to speak of. However, it was still strange that she had just appeared without him noticing. Had she been there the whole time, had she been teleported in? A lot of things didn't add up, and Harukaka hoped that he'd be able to get a few answers to those questions.

The first words out of her mouth as she was lifted was a mirth filled, "Gah! Help! I'm being swept off my feet by the king of kitten thieves! It's Thief Knight all over again!"
His speed was very astounding to her. She found herself very envious of his speed, even despite the fact that it was enough fun for her to let out an excited squeal. She was in a giggling fit all the way until she was set back on safe ground. She was ready to let herself calm down at last, but seeing him bow down only made her want to bow in return.
"No need to apologize, sir knight!" she expressed, keeping her bow as low as she could manage, "Your assistance and foresight is most apprecia-whoaaa!" She found herself needing to quickly re-balance herself.
Okay, mental note. Bowing that low makes you lose your balance.
I could have told you that, numb nuts.
Mana! Not helping!
"So, where were we? Oh, right, your questions!" She replied, trying to remember what he asked. Her mood quickly went somber when she remember what his questions were about.
"O-oh, um, actually... I'm looking for them. My family, I mean. Our world kind of got taken by the Heartless." It wasn't a complete lie. Her heart told her to put all of her efforts on finding Stella, but if by chance she ran into the rest of her family then it would be cause to celebrate.
The feline gave a sound nod, his own expression somber and more serious than before. He gently patted the young girl on the back, and was quick to respond, "I know how that feels. I'm looking for my foster mother...she took care of me after my Pap--creator passed away."
Harukaka would gaze back at the ruined railway, sighing to himself as he would take a step up the stairwell, on the cusp of going back inside or staying to insure the safety of the little girl. He would point towards the entrance, and explain, "I was looking to try and find a way out to Sunset Hill...with the train station all busted up, no one has been trying anything to get out there. I figured it would be a great place to hide something,"
A fluffy black rear would flop down onto the first step, Haru sitting down and sighing softly, "I mean, there has to be a way to retake some of these lost worlds, right? I figure I'd try looking somewhere no one else is."

"That's a really optimistic way to look at it," Cora expressed as she walked up to stand by his side. "I guess I can understand. I wouldn't want to stay cooped up for very long either. I'm only hear for..." She paused as she thought about what would be a reasonable amount of time to search this world. "About... maybe a few months? That should be enough to search this whole place for clues, right? I'm milking this for everything it's worth! Traveling out there and finding a whole lot of empty space is kind of..." She looked down, not wanting to finish that sentence.
Scary...
"I hope there is a way to get those worlds back. It'd be nice to be able to go back to City of Dreams. Man, everyone would be surprised to find out that I'm a synthesizer now!"
Harukaka smiled, happy to hear that he was being "optimistic", when really he was feeling oh so down as of late. But his determination kept him from being a useless pile of fluff and depression, and he knew things would get better when Traverse Town was brought back. They just had to find a way to do it.
Taking off his messenger bag, the feline pulled out a saran wrapped plate of stuffed peppers, and slowly started to unwrap it. Haru would then set the plate down and took one of the spicy treats in his paw, before he would state, "It's not about being cooped up, so much as missing my family. But, either way, I've never heard of this "City of Dreams". What kind of world is that?"
Then, thinking that perhaps the young lass was hungry, he would turn to Cora and offer her one of his stuffed peppers, the scent of garlic and onion no doubt tickling her nose. While they certainly wouldn't be as warm as they would be having come out of the oven, when Haru bit down on one of the stuffed peppers, it was clear that they still had a bit of crunch to them, and were in near perfect condition for being carried around in a messenger bag.
"Wan' one? Made ih myselph" Haru would speak with his mouth full, clearly uncaring of conventional dining etiquette, at least not when it came to such a casual get together. Besides, it was only polite to make an offering, as his food was meant to be shared, not hogged all for himself.

What was City of Dreams like? How does one even begin to describe such a place? Maybe by explaining the basics?
"Well let me think," she said, placing a hand on a hip and the other on her chin. Her thoughts were briefly interrupted but the inviting sight of what was obviously food. She almost raised her hand to grab on, only for the smell of onion and garlic to make their way to her nose.
She never was a fan of onions. The taste was often funny to her, and she found herself trusting it less ever since Mogen tried to find ways to sneak it into her meals.
Garlic, on the other hand, was a favorite of hers. The taste was also strange to her, but the after taste was always fun. There was also the fact that Mogen used to make funny faces whenever she ate a lot of them at once.
"Well... I guess one couldn't hurt," she replied as she gently took one from him. She nearly took a bite out of it before something felt off. Why did it feel like she needed to be cautious around the pepper? It wasn't as extreme as other times when she felt she needed to be cautious, but she still felt that warning system go off. Was it poison?
But Sir Harukaka was eating it just fine, so what was the problem? She decided to think hard about it while she spoke of her home world.
"City of Dreams... Well, I imagine it would be similar to what this place used to be like," she explained, eying the food suspiciously, "There were houses and grass and trees and a school... The housing place is a nice place to live and all, but the place everyone wants to go to is the Big City! They say that if you have a dream, the Bug City is the place to go! With the right skill and determination, you can be just about whatever you want to be in the Big City! A cop, a scientist..." She gave a brief look to her cat-like host. "An iron chef! They say you could even learn to be a wizard there! Stella said that she's gonna go there one day to become a magic knight! And she would learn magic and how to use a sword and beat up all the bad guys and protect every family in the world! She was gonna be the best hero of all! And I wanted to join her and be the best ally to a hero of all! And we'd go on adventures and save lives and it would have been the best! At least, that's how it should have gone..."
After some sobering thought, she decided she was going to just bite into it. It gave a very solid crunch in her mouth, and she quickly found that she loved the texture. So what was wrong with it? The texture was great, the flavor was amazing, and she was obviously not being poisoned.
She took a second bite, savoring the food in her mouth as much as she could. It was only now that she started to realize why her internal warning system was going off.
"Gaaah! Spiiiiicyyyyyy!" She cried out, setting the food down and trying in vain to get the spiciness off of her tongue.

A wince covered the feline doll's face as he watched Cora react to the heat of the stuffed peppers. Thinking quickly, Harukaka was quick to procure a bottle of milk, lukewarm from the heat, but still edible as he was sure it would help with the spicy oils from the peppers. "Here, Cora, take this. Just swish it around in your mouth a bit before swallowing."
The City of Dreams sounded much like Traverse Town did back in the glory days, before it became a world for refugees from lost worlds...much like Twilight Town was now, albeit on a more extreme scale. His foster mother, Yulia, had told him how she was such a lousy cook when she was little, and how she had to bust her rear to get to where she had been. It was what gave Harukaka his ideology that nothing was truly impossible. Still, it was disheartening to think about her now, what with Traverse Town nothing more than darkness in the sky.
"Traverse Town sounds a lot like this City of Dreams of yours...twinkling little stars bursting into their potential. I'm sure Twilight Town was like that too at some point." Haru mused to himself, looking up at the starless sky and reaching up towards it, clearly yearning for the night sky that was ever so familiar to him, "I'm not sure what it'll take, but I'll fight to bring back the stars, the dreamers, and the worlds that house them. Cora, would you like to help me fill the night sky?"
