In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Warning sirens blared loudly in his ears as he felt the deck rock violently beneath his feet. He grabbed at the arms of his chair as he watched those few individuals on the bridge who had been standing tumble over themselves, the rest bracing themselves in their own seats in order to continue manning the ship's systems.
"Damage report!" Commander Rourke barked out as his head snapped up to look at the ensign in charge of the ship's systems. He thought he already knew how bad it was, but he needed to hear for himself.
"Commander, we have sustained severe damage in the port-side hull. Decks five, four, and three are completely exposed to the vacuum, sir. The decks are sealed, casualties unknown."
Just as he'd suspected. A huge gaping hole in the middle of his ship....
Rourke felt himself jostled around violently again as another asteroid slammed into the ship. The flag ship was compromised. All he could do was order an evacuation and notify the other ships of it.
"Notify the other two ships of our situation and tell them we are evacuating. Everyone, get to the escape hatches, on the double!"
Rourke pulled himself from his chair, stumbling as yet another impact rocked the ship. This time, the frame of the ship groaned as she took the impact, the grating of the metal a loud, desperate sound in his ears, almost like a whale crying out to others of its kind. Rourke knew, though, that this was no whale. The ship was about to give way and splinter into a thousand pieces, and Lyle wanted as many of his people off of this ship when it did. They still had a mission to complete, and they couldn't finish it if they were all dead.
He ran with the crew through the ship's corridors, making his way to the escape hatches on the bow. He tried to stay behind to make sure everyone else got off first, but his bridge officers forced him into an escape pod with several others, and before he could so much as protest, they were launched into space, hurtling towards who knew where.....
******
After what felt like hours afterwards, Rourke felt an impact that jolted him back to consciousness. The gees from the spinning pod had rendered everyone in his pod unconscious. Now, though, it seemed the spinning had stopped, and judging by the their weight which had been restored, they had landed on another world.
Rourke, who was on top of the pile of people in the pod, reached up and opened the door. As it fell away from the opening of the pod, Rourke reached up and grabbed the lip of the door frame, and pulled himself out and on top of the pod. As he emerged, he looked around, finding himself inside of a large, imposing canyon. As he hopped down from the top of the pod to the ground, he pulled his Luger pistol from its holster at his side. He didn't know if there was anything dangerous nearby, and he'd rather not be caught unprepared.
Directly ahead of him was a crystal fissure that sparkled and shone in the sun. Rourke stood there for a few moments, staring in awe at the sight. He had seen a lot of things in his life, but never anything that compared to this. It was an absolutely beautiful sight.
After a few moments, Rourke pulled himself away from the sight of the crystals and walked to the side of the pod to look past it. There, in the widest part of the canyon, was his flag ship. It had fallen to the planet in two pieces, and was severely damaged. Large pieces and chunks of the ship lay all over the canyon, and Rourke thought he could even see bodies lying among the wreckage.
The only thought that ran through his mind was how they were going to fix the ship to continue towards Atlantis.....
Rose knew what she was looking at the moment she looked out at the Great Maw from the Bailey. A space ship crash. A very big one. "Holy hell... Halen! The neoshadow rose from her feet, and stood beside her. "Any survivors?" Halen closed his mind, and opened his heart, trying to see Hearts in the crash zone, but... Can't tell... Too far, he said. Rose began running, reviewing what little she knew about space travel. "Maybe there are life boats! lets go check it out!" Halen followed quickly, privately wondering if it might not be better to not got to the burning sky ship.

Saxen had been working on rebuilding his gummi ship and loved to look out into the Great Maw, toward the Crystal Fissure. He even had his new friend Splodeyhead with him. Today, however, there was something else to grab his attention. There was a great airship crashing into the canyon. As soon as he spotted it and the pods falling to the ground, he picked up his little companion and leapt out into the open air. He had only tried this once before, and it had been Deathblade to do it. As he fell, he realized that he had very little control over Deathblade's metal. Deathblade smiled on the inside as he felt Saxen's anxiety rising. Then, after waiting as long as safely possible, Deathblade formed wings to allow them to glide over to the crash site. The bodies on the ground brought back memories of battlefields that he quickly shook out of his head.
He landed on his feet, but knelt down to lessen the impact and set Splodeyhead on the ground. He then got up, retracted the wings, and looked at the extent of the damage to the ship. He might be able to HELP get the thing running, but it would take a while and he would need some of the crew to help him understand this ship. Although, looking at the hull damage, even if they could fix the systems, it would be...difficult, at best, to get it back in one piece.
As he turned away from the impressive ship, He saw a man emerging from one of the pods. Saxen ran over to him. "Excuse me, sir, are you alright? Who was in charge of this ship? I would like to offer my services as a soldier and an engineer. So, who do I need to talk to?"
Atlantace watched the fiery remains of the hulking metal behemoth partly in awe, partly in fear. His eyes had been glued to the object's descent, and he was still unsure of what it was. He took note of the smaller objects bursting from what seemed to be the front of the ... thing... and heading planet-side. The explosive crash landing was visible even from space
what the hell is that thing? More importantly, let's go planet-side and see the remains... maybe we can salvage some valuable things?
I don't know, but my scanners sense that there were many humanoids within it, making it a vessel of some kind. It was already greatly damaged before it came within scanning distance though, so there is no way to tell what the causes were. Also, I do not believe that you and I will be the only ones to arrive at the site. There also will probably be some survivors, so I think we should go down there with the intention of helping, not harming.
Fine, Fine, I was joking about the salvage anyway... Atlantace grumbled to himself as Bloodbane navigated to a safe point near the crash site.
Once the two were at a safe enough distance beneath the atmosphere, Atlantace climbed out of the cockpit and onto his favorite perch atop of Bloodbane. The monstrous dragon was about the size of one of the smouldering husks of the mega-ship, which made Atlantace even more impressed. "Woah... the thing is huge!"
Atlantace noticed several things as Bloodbane circled closer. One; though there were many casualties, there was a scattering of the little pods that burst from the ship before it entered the atmosphere of Radiant Garden, most of them seeming to be intact. Two; people were coming to visit. one of them was carrying a strange red creature, and had metallic wings that sprouted inexplicably from his back, and then disappeared just as quickly. The other, he wasn't so sure about, as the being was still far enough away.
Three; there were definitely survivors, and he didn't need Bloodbane's help to determine that, as one of the pods opened, revealing an older looking man.
I will assess the situation from that man's point of view, you search around and see if anyone needs immediate help.
I will observe from above, little one. I do not want them to attack me...
As Bloodbane flew above the crash site, he swooped in low, allowing Atlantace to leap off. A few seconds later, Atlantace came hurtling down, his landing powerful enough to create a three foot crater around him, where he stayed for a few seconds.
Slowly, he picked himself up, but once he stood upright, he started walking over to the metal boy and the first known survivor. His weapon was strapped to his back, but if the situation arose, he was quickly able to wield it.
Approaching the scene, he looked around in awe, and looked to the survivor. He whistled softly, and shook his head. "Looks like you could use a bit of help here... Are you injured?
As Atlantace spoke, Bloodbane circled far above the site, keeping a watch out for trouble. He'd be able to at least give them fair warning of any approaching entities, in an effort to keep things running smoothly. How many of you are there?"
Ravian looked into the sky, he couldn't believe what he saw several pieces of a giant ship fall from the sky. It was massive, bigger than anything he had ever seen but it was all in pieces the whole town seemed to shake as the flaming mass hit the ground.
He looked on in disbelief as a cloud of dust smoke and fire was thrown into the air. He ran towards the crash site as fast as he could. There was bound to be something interesting there, perhaps some survivors or a ride to a new world. But then of course if they could fly th probably wouldn't have crashed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As he reached the canyon he couldn't believe how trashed the ship had gotten on impact. He knew it would be bad but not this bad. He walked around avoiding the bodies strewn across the wreckage. Until he finally came across a smaller ship that seemed mostly intact as he walked around it he saw someone he would rather not see "Saxen" gliding down from who knows where.
Ravian quickly ducked back behind the hulk of the pod as he was startled by Atlantace's landing. He walked around to join the group. "Hi, what happened here,"
He would put off introductions as long as he could. Last time he saw Saxen he had lied about his name but he felt that if he was potentially spending time around these people he wasn't going to give them a different name since he would eventually slip up. "and where did this stuff come from"
Basch fon Ronsenburg of Dalmasca felt the crash all the wat on the ouskirts of town, where he was finishing the dispatch of a few Heartless. It wasn't a subtle rumble either. No, it was most definitely a crash. Judging by the sound and earthquake, it came from the Crystal Fissure. The great cloud of dust in the air was a pretty good locator, too.
The knight set off at a run towards the crash. It didn't take him long, with his well-trained endurance, tp get to the crash site. It was quite obvious that it had attracted the attention of others, too. There was a red-haired girl, a blonde teenager, a man with shorter blonde hair and armor, and a boy with deadlocks. Quite an interesting bunch, for sure.
Seeing the large, older man appearing from within some sort of space pod, Basch jogged to his side, where the blonde teenager, the blonde man, and the boy with dreadlocks stood. He stayed silent, figuring his appearance was enough of a message that he was willing to help.

Finally managing to dig his way out of the wrecked ship here on this strange world, Cookie stepped out into the sunlight and covered his eyes. He looked around at the people that were starting to gather. He walked up to the commander that was staring at the wreckage of the Ulysses ship. Cookie stared at the ship as well and started mumbling a couple of things, running through the things he had left to make food.
"Welp. Guess I'm just gonna have to make due with what we still got. Lets see here... We got our grease... A single package of bacon... A spoonful of Lard... Thats breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next week. Oh uh.... Who are you? And you? And You? You? And the rest of ya youngsters? Seems we got ourselves a little gatherin' over here commander... Say, Anyone seen Vinny?" He started to say, pulling out the ingrediants as he said them, and then pointing to the people that had come up to them, completely disregarding their questions. He then waved it off and went back to digging through the ship for more food ingredients.
Right on cue, the hatch from one of the pods further back flew off after a controlled explosion. Soaring up high in the sky as the buckled metal drew a trail of smoke until it landed. More smoke quickly gushed out of the newly created opening like a chimney. The sound of coughing could be heard as Vinny emerged. His hair a bit ruffled and his face blackened by the bomb. But further then that unharmed. Crawling out of the smoke he swiftly landed on his feet while dusting off his jacket. Seeing Rourke, Cookie and a lot of other people he didn't know he just raised his shoulders a bit while keeping his unhappy expression as he declared: "The handle was stuck."
Instantly after that, he pulled out a cigarette and a match from his pockets while lighting it up. Flavoring the soothing taste while puffing out smoke. Vinny looked around to asses the situation and walked up to Rourke and Cookie while staring depressingly in front of him. Things didn't look good for them. Even the majestic scenery of the crystal maw left him unphased as not even a sparkle of interest or appreciating could be seen coming from his face.
While the cigarette dances on his lips, Vinny reported:" Commander, besides us three and a couple of soldiers. Nobody else crash landed here. They're either somewhere else or never made it." Vinny paused while steering his gaze over the visitors. He took hold of his smoke between two fingers as he took it out of his mouth. Exhaled the smoke in their direction as he said to them: "Hey bambino's, if your looking for an encore though luck, show's over"
OOC: my apologies for taking so long. I no longer have internet in my room, so I'm forced to go to the base library to post. This has been my first chance all week. My thanks for your patience.
Commander Lyle Rourke
Rourke looked around at the dozen or so other escape pods. Each could potentially hold a dozen and a half men. That meant they might have just over one hundred survivors from their ship. That was a severe drop in numbers from the four hundred plus that they had started out with. The expedition wasn't even truly under way yet and it already seemed doomed to failure. A voice to one side broke the commander out of his thoughts and he turned to see a blonde headed boy, still very much in his youth.
"Excuse me, sir, are you alright? Who was in charge of this ship? I would like to offer my services as a soldier and an engineer. So, who do I need to talk to?"
"I'm fine, son," Rourke said, nodding over to the boy, motioning him to follow him as he started walking over towards one of the other lifepods,"My name is Lyle Rourke. I'm the leader of this expedition. Your help would be much appreciated. First thing, help me get some of these pods open. We need to get a head-count on how many survivors we have. I'll explain what happened later."
Before they could reach the pod, though, the hatch blew off, flying hundreds of feet to crash into the canyon walls. Rourke looked up at the hatch knowing full well just who was about to emerge, and moments later there stood Vinny, their explosives expert, all covered in black soot.
"Be careful with those bombs, Vinny. I dont' want you blowing anyones' heads off," Rourke said as he climbed on top of the pod to help the other survivors out. As he did, Rourke paused as he saw an exceptionally large shadow pass overhead. He stopped and looked up to see some kind of large creature flying overhead. It was enormous, big enough to eclipse the sun from where it was flying.
The thing came in low and slow, and as it nearly touched the ground, something fell from on top of it to the ground. Actually, no, it was a person, and he had leapt to the ground, not fallen. Rourke looked on in curiosity as the creature flew off again, flying at such a height as to make it seem tiny in size. Rourke turned his attention back to the man, who was now walking in their direction. He was clad in very ornate and decorative plate armor that shined brightly in the sun, and a spear that looked just as ornate, though definitely not just decorative.
"Looks like you could use a bit of help here... Are you injured? How many of you are there?" " the man asked as he walked up. That was good. he was there to hurt them. Rourke didn't really want to have to fight off that thing he'd ridden in on.
"We're all fine. But yes, we could use some help. We have about a dozen or so escape pods all scattered around in this canyon here. I'd like you to help us open them," Rourke said, pointing to one just behind the man,"You can start with that one.
"You can go help him," Rourke said, pointing at the blonde boy standing just behind him,"Vinny, get up here and help me get these men out of here."
Just as he was about to turn and start helping the men out of the pods again, another boy stepped out from behind the pod he was standing on and asked about what was going on.
"I'll explain later. For now, my name is Rourke, and if you want to help, come up here and help Vinny here get the men out of this pod," Rourke told the boy.
Rose ran onto the crash site, and heard an old guy say "I'll explain later. For now, my name is Rourke, and if you want to help, come up here and help Vinny here get the men out of this pod." She didn't bother introducing herself, she just jogged to the nearest pod, and began trying to open it. The latch resisted her efforts, so Halen, who had hidden in her shadow, grabbed the pod door as well and twisted as hard as he could. the door clanked and unlocked, and Rose was able to open it. A dead man fell out, his bones seemingly crushed by the impact. Rose grabbed his hand, and ignoring the crunching, pulled him out of the way. She heard a moan inside the pod. Halen, how many alive in here? One heart. That's it? Really tough luck. "Gonna need a healer over here! Preferably one with a really strong stomach! Only one survivor, it seems!"
Ooh... This felt like a... a... ROLLERCOASTER!!! With the great rushing wind and the huge amount of vibration, it felt like he was back home on his roller coaster. As he and his human friend fell towards the ground, he hated to admit it, but he enjoyed the chaotic atmoshpere. Once set down, he quickly ran to catch up to Saxen.
A big ship seemed to have crashed. It could've been his cousins! No, it couldn't have been... Oh... Thank god... Letting out a sigh of a relief at the sight of a dead human, Splodyhead's stress disapeared. He didn't like the fact that his cousins could be anywhere, but the little alien did like the fact that these beings weren't his family.
When Saxen finished speaking, he barked at Saxen. No, don't volunteer for that! He smelled a bad man alright, and he was right infront of him. But then again, he thought the same when he saw Saxen... Oh well, he still believed in the old saying, "He's armed, he's dangerous," Okay, maybe it wasn't old. Maybe he just made it up. Oh well, anyways he would stick with that.
