Nightfall: Chapter 2
Two years after the events of Dream Drop Distance, the Darkness became so great that it swallowed the worlds, locking them away within its merciless abyss.
Twilight Town, now covered in eternal night, stands as one of last Sanctuaries of Light. It is where players begin their journey.
Ever resourceful, the Moogles have created a safe place for refugees. They have charged the Denizens of Light with finding Castle Oblivion: it holds a key to the puzzle of the lost worlds.
But within the dark shadows of the sanctuary world a powerful dark force still looms, waiting to strike. Each survivor must choose whether to go to Castle Oblivion or stay behind to protect the world from the dragon that lurks in the shadows.
A dark portal appeared on the sandy beaches of the Destiny Islands, home to some of the worlds' greatest Keyblade masters. A frantic mouse-like being burst out of the darkness and began running up the beach shouting, "Sora! Riku! Kairi! He had better find the Keybladers fast or his entire world could be taken over...

[Since its open, Jason can join in!]
Jason had been tracking the movements of both Sora and King Mickey for a long time. And now, Mickey had finally arrived on Destiny Islands. He had started to run around the island, shouting for Riku, Sora, and Kairi. Seems that something was going on. The portal that Mickey had used had come from Disney Castle. While sitting in the realm of darkness, Jason looked into his crystal ball at Disney Castle. It was quite lively... And at the center of attention? Maleficent, Ela, and Marluxia. Seems that Disney Castle was in danger. Perhaps Jason could finally be of assistance to the warriors of light?
Another dark portal had appeared on the island near an area that Mickey was about to run by. Jason stepped out of the portal, holding his staff. Surely the opening of the dark portal would be enough to catch Mickey's attention. And if that didnt, then the scent of a nobody on Destiny Islands probably would. Either way, no words were needed to be said by Jason to possibly get the attention of Mickey.
There was a certain feeling in Riku that very morning that said he actually shouldn't have gone to school that morning. That feeling was felt once again as he was writing in his journal in his English class, ignoring most of what his teacher had to say. Setting down the pencil he had, Riku turned his cyan gaze to the back of Sora's head, slouched in his chair slightly more and kicked the back of the brunet's chair to get his attention.
Mickey was growing nervous when much time had passed and he received no answers to his calls. Maybe the three wielders were on the main island...or off somewhere else completely.
He slowed his pace and began thinking about where to search next, but as he was about to turn and make his way to the main island, he caught sight of a dark portal appearing on the beach. Mickey drew his golden Keyblade in defense and pointed it at the figure who stepped form the portal. "You there! What is your purpose here?"
Ahh Destiny Island. Maverick had only been here once but not for long. But this time was for relaxing. Or so he thought. A portal opened up about 10 feet from the Kings position as Maverick came walking out. Eyes closed and arms folded the silver haired ex-criminal sighed. So far out of the people he needed to see, or just get a message to, zero of them have been located. Well, except Sora. If not for him Maverick would be dead.
Still walking around, eyes closed as well, Maverick kept on running though the last couple of months when....THUD!!! Maverick walked face first into a tree. "AHHHH!!!" those were the only words that came out of Mavericks mouth as he rubbed his forehead to try and get rid of some pain. Shaking his head he stepped away from the tree and towards the beach when he saw a very familiar person.....or rather mouse. Oh...thats right, Maverick destroyed that mouse's floor last time he saw him. Might as well say hello. Maverick started to walk to the King when he saw another person appear and the mouse made a weapon that looked alot like Sora's weapon and pointed it at the newcomer. Trouble? Lets see. Continuing his walk Maverick shouted. "Is something going on here little dude". The "little dude" was directed at the King.

The opening of the portal was enough to alert King Mickey to Jason's arrival. It was more or less what Jason wanted at least. The keyblade was held out in front of him. Jason sighed and said "Typical... People see a nobody step out of a dark portal and think something is wrong. Ah well... I won't be a nobody for long.... I come here to offer you aid, King Mickey." He also pulled out his crystal ball and looked into it for a moment. "Oh... And the three that you are looking for are in class over on the main island. That is why your cries for help from them have been met with silence." He said, putting his crystal ball away. Perhaps Jason could get them? Maybe at a later time....
Dan was scanning the island from the tree house, taking a good look at the world he was now in. He spotted a small figure below on the island shouting with its high, squeaky voice. Dan watched it closely waiting for it to do something, then he saw a dark portal with a figure coming out and heard the shouting of another person. When he realized who the short one finally was his mouth dropped. "King Mickey!!!!!!" he blurted out as loud as he could.
He rushed down to meet them, he wanted a part in whatever they were doing. Dan had never gone as fast as he was going, all his red hair and champagne bottle necklace were following closely behind him as he struggled to keep headband on, pulling it back over his head. Finally reaching King Mickey and the other two men he bent down inhaling deeply. "What brings you here, Your Highness?" He asked him anxious to get an answer.
As it happened, Sora was paying attention. His grades had been struggling in this class recently, and it became apparent that if he did not concentrate at least a little while this semester, he would never get out of high school.
Surprised, and mildly distracted he turned around in his seat to face his silver-haired friend, "What?"
Furrowing his brow a little, Riku just said these four words, "we need to go."
Never being one for words, after Riku had said that to Sora, he got up from his chair, looked to his teacher and then started for the door of the classroom. This was what he felt to be an emergency, so what if the other kids and the teachers in the building didn't know what was going on? It was none of their business anyways.
"Sorry Instructor Trepe... Sora and I have to go," and without waiting for a response or even motions from Sora, Riku was out of the classroom and headed down the hallways.
((My Riku muse will get better over time, I swear D; ))
Tidus was suppose to be in school today, but the upcoming Blitzball Tournament called for extra training. The DI Aurochs were going to defeat the Luca Goers this year, and Tidus had to be on the field in peak condition to help.
While training, Tidus saw a set of portals open down the beach where he was practicing. As he fired off his nearly perfected "Sublimely Magnificent Jecht Shot Mark III" as his father had called it, when he saw hit the ball wrong and it went flying towards the now formed crowd of people.
"Hey, look out over there!"
As he landed he saw as the ball was heading straight for the smallest member of the group. As soon as his feet hit the ground, Tidus took off at a run to try and stop the rouge Blitzball.
Another figure stepped out of the portal behind Jason, shrugging a blue vest up over his shoulder as he leaned to a side, shaggy red hair dangling over his face, "Your Highness..." Rook bowed his head, taking a knee. He knew following Jason along this time would have been worth it.
He knew the King by sight, though he had never met him before. Almost everyone on the Bastion talked about him now and again, especially those who he helped fight for and with in the Thousands Heartless War. And even though Rook grew up in an oversized ditch in the middle of nothing, he knew Royalty when he stood in front of it.
Kings never strayed far from their Kingdoms. For Jason and Rook to have met him here, on Destiny Islands, there had to be more truth and knowledge in that crystal ball than he first thought.
Mickey was too worried about his world to be suspicious of any of these newcomers. All seemed nice enough and were even offering their assistance. He let his Keyblade disappear and he nodded his head in 'thanks' to those who had arrived. He took a step forward and intended to address everyone at once. "My Castle is in danger. Dark thorns are suffocating the walls and gardens and I'm afraid it could be the work of the Heartless and-more specifically-the Dark XII," worry flashed through his dark eyes for a moment as he thought of Minnie and the other inhabitants of the castle. "I've come here in search of three children and any others who are willing to join me in a battle to save my world."
((Been a few days, OoO posting to keep the thread alive))
Rook had a good idea who those three children would be. But he didn't interject his thoughts, he only reinstated his previous action through words, "Sir, I'll do whatever you need me to do. Just say the word."
A fit of excitement caught up to him and he slugged his fist an open palm, a show of his eagerness to fight under the King's banner. He looked to Jason, surely he or his crystal ball had something to say about this. And should they not, Rook was content to believe that this could be why he was lead back to Jason to begin with: To show him the way here.
Dan listened to The King and heard the other guy speak also. "Sir, like Rook, I too will do anything you need me to do," Dan said to The King. Dan thought fighting under the king was the biggest honor you could have. He felt like getting on his knees and begging the king to go with him but he was able to resist knowing he would not look as valiant as his possible allies. He awaited The King to answer.
