In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Akira's eyes were now locked onto the crystal ball. He was no longer in the wastelands of Radiant Garden, he was now in complete darkness. Where the crystal ball was, was now replaced with a figure of complete darkness, with bold blue eyes. Black threads were coming out of the figure's silhoutte, while it gave a maniacal laugh, which sounded somewhat muffled. As it laughed it's darkness slowly faded, starting from the feet.
When the darkness was utterly gone, the dark figure showed who it truly was. It was Akira, looking at himself. Only this Akira had a wicked grin and menacing eyes and he was wearing a dark outfit. The two stared at each other until the the darkness evaporated and Akira was now standing in front of a large skyscrapper. When he looked behind him he saw a series of warriors with different weapons charging at a formidable castle that had a slim cut in the middle.
When the warriors were halfway to the castle, several dark portals opened. The things that came out were people, holding their own weapons, differing from one anothers. The two groups were now rushing towards eachother, ready to attack. But before Akira could even witness a soldier lifting their weapon, he fell and was now on the ground in an unknown place. His eyes were looking at the stars in the sky.
But Akira saw that one by one, each star started to vanish in the darkness of the sky. When all of the stars were gone, the world he was in was consumed by darkness, and he too disappeared. When he opened his eyes, he was back in the wastelands, looking at Jason. Akira grabbed the sides of his head and awkwardly tumbled backwards, bearly being able to stand. When he obtained his train of thought, he began to explain his prophecy to Jason.
"I don't understand... What I saw, didn't show what my goal was. What my path was. I saw, myself in complete darkness, I looked... So evil. But than all of it disappeared and I was in a strange looking city, with a castle that was split in half. But I saw an army going towards the castle, but they were stopped by people who came from doorways of darkness. But I didn't see them fight, I was on the ground in some other strange place, being forced to look at the sky and all of the stars. But the stars... They began to vanish, as if they had never existed. And than, I was swallowed by the dark..."

Jason listened as she explained his visions. But when he explained the part strange city with the castle split in half, Jason's eyes widened as he heard this. He knew exactly which world he was talking about. It was The World That Never Was. But who were the people that were fighting against the twin Organizations? He wasn't even sure that Akira knew who they were. He clearly didn't know who the Organizations were if he had said people coming from doorways of darkness. But in regards to his next thing, it shocked him even more.
He said that he was forced to watch the stars go out. Stars are representations of worlds, and to hear him say that he watched the stars go out and that he was swallowed in darkness made Jason wonder. Would they be able to defeat what was evil in this world? Or would this come true and the worlds really would go out? Jason knew now, without a doubt, that he needed to gather Sora, Riku, Kairi, King Mickey, and any others that he could. He needed to explain these two parts to them and see if they were true himself.
Now he needed to talk to him. "Everyone has a dark side, so to see yourself in a darker form is not completely uncommon. It could mean that you may have to face it sooner or later. But by believing in your virtues, you will more then likely succeed. As for the city, its actually a world. Its called The World That Never Was. The people appearing from doorways of darkness, I assume used portals such as these." He said, snapping his fingers as a portal of darkness appeared next to him. A few seconds later, he waved it away.
"Its hard to explain, so I'll explain it later. For the next thing about the stars going out... Stars have been said to represent worlds. Every star in the sky is a world out there. It is a confusing thing to hear that the stars were going out. There's someone I'll need to talk to about this..." He said as he quickly looked off to the side. Heartless were coming. A small force of them, but still heartless. "Great... Heartless are coming. They sense the hearts in the middle of this area. Hope you know how to fight a bit." He said as his staff appeared in his hand. He just hoped that Rook would hear and be able to attack.
After Akira explained his vision to Jason, the man started to give him his answers.
"Everyone has a dark side, so to see yourself in a darker form is not completely uncommon. It could mean that you may have to face it sooner or later. But by believing in your virtues, you will more then likely succeed. As for the city, its actually a world. Its called The World That Never Was. The people appearing from doorways of darkness, I assume used portals such as these."
After he said this, he snapped his fingers and summoned a doorway, but than sent it away with a wave of his hand.
"Its hard to explain, so I'll explain it later. For the next thing about the stars going out... Stars have been said to represent worlds. Every star in the sky is a world out there. It is a confusing thing to hear that the stars were going out. There's someone I'll need to talk to about this..."
Akira now took a few steps backwards, he was still shocked about how Jason summoned a dark portal. He began to think of who Jason really was, and what connections he had with the people he saw in his prophecy, but his thoughts were cut short when Jason said something else.
"Great... Heartless are coming. They sense the hearts in the middle of this area. Hope you know how to fight a bit."
Akira looked in the direction were Jason was looking, and sure enough a small pack of Heartless were heading there way. He also saw Jason draw a large silver staff.
Akira lifted Empty Space to the sky and said, "Please, help me."
Seconds later, a white cloud appeared near Akira's feet. When the cloud faded, a tonberry was there, holding a sharp knife in one hand and a lantern in the other. It looked at the Heartless.
It gave a sigh and said quietly, "...Heartless..."
Akira lowered Empty Space and was looking at the Heartless once more. He glanced at Jason, who was readying to fight.

[Stop playing with yourself in your hut, Rook! Join us in the heartless fight!!!]
Jason watched as the heartless approached, taking note of what Akira had just done. Seemed that this guy had a few tricks of his own. Jason would be able to question it later. For now, Jason readied himself for the fight against the incoming heartless. From what he could see, it contained Armored Knights, Surveillance Robots, Soldiers, Shadows, Darkballs, and Large Bodies. This was certainly going to be a fun fight. That much was certain. But he sensed another presence... Something bigger. He quickly looked back to the lean-to behind him that housed Rook. 'I Hope... For his sake... That it isn't what I think it is...' He thought.
Looking back to the opening, he ran forward, his legs moving in such fluid like motions that glided over the rocks. The armored knight was the first thing for Jason to see as he made a quick sweeping motion to the knight's strange legs, causing it to trip and slam into the rocks below. Jumping into the air, Jason quickly sliced down onto the knight and caused it to return to the darkness. A surveillance robot was next as it started to charge it's laser. He flashed his crystal ball forward as he said "Thundaga!" Lightning stormed through the area as it hit the surveillance robot and two shadows that followed behind it.
Jason quickly threw his crystal ball forward into the middle of the three creatures. With a quick motion of his hand across his staff, he said "The light from the orb shall expel the darkness!" With that said, the crystal ball burst forward with light. Once the light was gone, the 3 heartless were gone and Jason rushed forward to grab it before it hit the ground. The heartless weren't too much of a problem. But the mass that he felt earlier was getting stronger. He could tell it wouldn't be long before it would reveal itself. But was it truly what Jason thought? It was hard to say.
Akira was watching as Jason was attacking the Heartless with such agility and skill, but he stopped when he noticed he was killing all of the Heartless! Tonberry was slowly walking to the pack of Heartless. Akira starting impatiently stomped on the ground, until he finally gave up and picked up tonberry, and tossed him at the Heartless.
As the tonberry was flying through the air Akira yelled to it, "I'm sorry! But if we do it your way, all of them well be gone!"
The tonberry was flailing his arms frantically while he flew. Eventually, he headbutted a Soldier, which fell backwards on two cowering Shadows, which where also destroyed. A Large Body was now charging at the tonberry. When the Large Body got close enough, the tonberry leaped in the air and stabbed the Large Body in the chest area, and created a large cut while he descended to the ground. The Large Body had a cut in the entire front of it's body before it disappeared completely.
After this happened the tonberry disappeared as well in a white cloud. While Akira was boasting about his tactics with his part-time partner, he saw a Darkball sneaking behind Jason. He flipped Empty Space to the blunt, walking side and threw it at the Darkside, like a spear. Empty Space pierced through the Darkball's body, destroying it, and leaving Empty Space on the ground. When Akira went to pick it up, he was now beside Jason, surrounded by a large number of Surveillance Robots.
Akira looked nervously around as he said, "Dang it, there are more than I thought..."
The cloth door to Rook's hut lifted on it's shift, and he stepped out into the fray. Over his left shoulder, was hefted a napsack with a drawstring as a hold, wrapped in his fingers. He walked forward, straight, unflinching, as if he were simply going to walk off the face of the world, his face completely blank.
But as he stepped up beside Jason, his eyes fell to the ground and he halted. Heartless swarmed about them, over them, a dome of dark bodies and glowing yellow eyes. But they weren't his concern. A tug in his wounded heart that drew his ears taught and forced a quiver from his lip.
"...It... it's come back to take me, hasn't it..?"

Jason watched Akira attack with whatever it was that he had summoned. Whatever it was, it seemed to be doing the trick as it attacked and destroyed several heartless. But as the heartless started to surround him, Jason worried for Rook, who had just stepped up next to him. The heartless were closing in, but all sounds seemed to disappear as all he heard was what Rook had just said. A soft growl came from Jason as he said "Never... I won't let the darkness have you." With that said, his staff started to glow as all the lines of writing disappeared and a new one emerged.
As he read over it, Jason was surprised, his chest starting to hurt a bit. Was his heartless near? Was it almost time for him to be human once more? It was hard to say, but he had to get rid of these heartless now. Waving his hand down his staff, he said "The lightning within at my control, annihilate my foes across the field!" With that said, Jason slowly lifted off the ground, glowing a soft white color. "Phase 1 - Lightning barrage!" He said as he quickly zipped around, striking the many heartless with his staff, moving faster then most could keep their eyes on.
Once a chunk of the heartless had been destroyed, Jason then said "Phase 2 - Lightning Storm!" While still shooting around and striking heartless with both his body and staff, a large dark cloud formed over the group as lightning rained down from it, striking even more heartless in the process. Lightning also struck Jason as he moved quicker and quicker, glowing even more then before. And as the lightning finally stopped, nearly all the heartless gone, the Darkside heartless finally emerged, just what Jason had intended. But he wasn't going to allow it to stay for long as he quickly rushed over, striking it multiple times.
He finally stopped, glowing brightly as he said "Final Phase - Lightning Burst!!!" With that said, the glow around him gathered to the tip of his staff as lightning from the cloud above them quickly struck the orb that was gathering. Once it was done, a swift swing from his staff caused it to point directly at the darkside, launching a giant beam of lightning toward it, and tearing a hole directly through the shadowy body. The darkside slowly fell, trying to hold itself up with his arm, but Jason had other plans. He spun around and threw his crystal ball toward it. As it neared the darkside before him, Jason ran his hand down his staff once more saying "The darkness that is strong, now be absorbed by the light!!"
A bright light covered the area as Jason fell to the ground, his crystal ball returning to his pocket, and the heartless gone without a trace. Through staggered breaths, Jason said "Limit complete... Number 40 absorbed..." He looked up to Rook and said "I told you... I won't let the darkness have you... And thats a promise I intend to keep." He continued to breathe heavily as that attack took quite a bit out of him. But laying on the ground wouldn't help as he slowly got up and use his staff to help him stay standing and even walk toward the two. He had never used that attack before, and he knew now, without a shadow of doubt, that Rook was going to be instrumental in allowing Jason to become human. He looked behind them and watched as an invisible heartless with a silver sword disappeared back to darkness for now. He closed his eyes, having finally seen a glimpse of his heartless other then in his crystal ball for the first time since he had been a nobody.
Akira was watching Jason wipe out every Heartless that had surrounded them, using a series of powerful lightning spells.
W-Wow! That's amazing! I've never seen s-such powerful magic!
When all of the Heartless were gone, a huge dark mass of a Heartless appeared. Akira was shocked, and by the looks coming from the other man, it must've been powerful. Before Akira even had a chance to attack it, Jason immeadiately struck with a it with a huge beam of lightning, making it tumble to the ground exhausted. But before it could get up to attack him, he threw his crystal ball and created an enormous flash of light, which completely annihilated the Heartless. Akira's jaw was hanging wide open.
Jason had nearly fallen to ground, breathing heavily.
"Limit complete... Number 40 absorbed... I told you... I won't let the darkness have you... And thats a promise I intend to keep."
He looked up at the silent man and said, Wow... If he's willing to attack a huge Heartless like that... All by himself, and putting himself in that condition," He pointed at Jason, still breathing heavily. "Than you guys must be... Best friends, huh?
All large smile came across Akira's face after he said this.
The two attacked, Heartless flinging about to and fro just before they vanished and faded into nothing. And Jason's display was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Electricity spiked through the air, eradicating the tiny shadowed threats where they cropped up, and momentarily, all was calm. But Jason was down, clearly winded, and Rook was immidiately to his side, arms bracing him to keep him upright.
"I told you... I won't let the darkness have you... And thats a promise I intend to keep."
The look of worry on the redhead's face faded into one of surprise. And suddenly the world seemed a bit less dim to his eyes.
"Wow... If he's willing to attack a huge Heartless like that... All by himself, and putting himself in that condition, than you guys must be... Best friends, huh?"
Rook alternated looks. To Akira. Back to Jason. Back to Akira, then to Jason once more. "I... I'm..?"
He stammered, ceased speaking, and closed his eyes. One deep breath later, he tried again, "I was wrong... wasn't I? You came for me. Not them..."

A smile came across Jason's face, one that he had become all too good at faking. Rook had finally realized the truth between the two. Jason had been sent to help Rook, but now Jason realized something even more... Rook had also been sent to help Jason. Very rarely did Jason find himself being sent to help someone more then once. But this was the fourth encounter he had with Rook. Clearly he played some part in allowing Jason to return to his state as a human. And judging from the fact that he had just seen his heartless again, as well as the pain in his chest where his heart should be, Jason knew that Rook would help him through that.
He nodded at the words of Rook and said "Exactly... As soon as I felt your presence here in Radiant Garden, I immediately came to your side. I was on the verge of being able to re-enter the city and get into my lab, but I knew I had to come to you. That you were more important then that. And so I came. Trust me, Rook. The darkness will never have you again so long as you remember who your true friends are. For friends can equal light when needed, provided theiy are the right friends. Do you understand?"
He then looked to Akira and smiled, wishing that he had a chance at feelings once more. For if he had them, he knew he would have been happy with what he had said. Akira pointed out that the two were best friends, and if that much could be seen by someone they just met, Jason knew that it was the truth. Rook would help Jason become Human again. And Jason would help Rook find the full light once more. The two would no longer be separated by darkness or the force of temptation. But for now, Jason knew he had to rest. That limit attack had taken a lot out of him. He just hoped that he had finally gotten through and Rook would finally see the truth.
Akira listened as Jason spoke to the other man. After Jason finished, he looked at Akira with a smiling face. The only way Akira could think to reply was to return another smile to him. He could tell that attacking that Heartless had taken a lot out of him, saying how exhausted he looked. He looked at the other man.
Akira smiled and said, "So, you've still haven't told me what your name is," Akira lifted his hand so the man could shake it. "Afterall, a person has to know his friend's names."
His hand dropped early as he saw yet another one of those giant Heartless appear. He nervously looked at Jason, who was still too weak to fight. Akira lifted empty space towards the Heartless.
I'll have to fight it, since Jason isn't in the condition to fight, and the other man seems to have a phobia of it.
Akira ran towards it, and threw Empty Space, once again like a spear. It pierced threw it's leg, and Akira grabbed Empty Space and flipped around it, to get near the monster's face. When he jumped he extracted Empty Space from it's leg. He landed on it's flailing arm and started to run up it. Akira was getting ready to summon something else to attack it, but was stopped by the Heartless' other hand.
Akira was now in it's clenched hand. The Heartless began to crush Akira in it's hand. Akira screeched in pain as his body was body was being smashed. But he had enough strength to lift Empty Space to the sky and beg for help in his thoughts. Several seconds later, a Moogle appeared in a white cloud on top of the Heartless' hand.
It said in a worried voice, "Akira!"
It began to swarm around the Heartless' face while saying, "Hey! Over here you big bully!"
The Heartless loosened his clutch on Akira as it began flailing his other hand trying to swat the moogle like it was a fly. Akira breathed deeply as he tried to regain some of his strength. The moogle would soon have to disappear and the Heartless would continue crushing Akira. He couldn't do anything but wait for a miracle.
"Trust me, Rook. The darkness will never have you again so long as you remember who your true friends are. For friends can equal light when needed, provided theiy are the right friends. Do you understand?"
Months and months. It'd been that long since Rook had heard another person's voice. He had nearly been lost to the darkness in his own heart largely due to Marluxia's manipuations. And now, after all this time, to hear Jason still so dedicated to helping him, safeguarding him, Rook had to turn away, closing his eyes as if Jason has suddenly become a human lightbulb.
"So, you've still haven't told me what your name is. Afterall, a person has to know his friend's names."
And again.
Rook opened his mouth to answer, but the appearance of another Darkside stopped him in his tracks. The newcomer was quick to mount an offensive. All this commotion on his tiny little property in he middle of no where. Things always seemed to keep finding him.
But so did that light... Rook protected those he cared for. And now he was the one being protected. Being fought for. And Jason was worn out for his show of it and Akira was being crushed into paste for getting involved. For fighting on his behalf.
Gently, he lowered Jason to the ground and stood, turning towards the Darkside with a growling sneer on his face. Standing tall, his left hand reached up to his right shoulder and grabbed hold of the cloth cloak he had fashioned himself, and pulled it away, tossing it to the wind where it fluttered towards the ground behind him.
Right foot. Left foot. He marched towards the Darkside, flashes of his youth wherein the Darksides resided in Hollow Bastion and it was all he could do to run fast enough to evade them. The Third District, where he and Jason defeatted one in their first joint effort.
He broke into a dash, leaping from the ground to the rocky uprises that littered the area, and again to the arm of the Darkside, passing Akira as he stepped from elbow joint to bicep muscle, then a kick and a leap onto one of the shadowy, wispy tendrils that made up its "hair", if it be called that. Whipping around, his momentum carried him up, behind and around the Darkside's head, letting go as it circled it, and twisting his body so he spun directly in front of its face, right hand outstretched, palm aimed facing the Darkside's nose. His left hand behind it, bracing it.
"Guard Light!"
And from his hand shot a blast of pure elemental Light. Almost as wide as his body was, it looked as if he had a hand up against a wall of pure white. It enveloped the Darkside's head entirely, and the sheer force of it kept Rook airborne, almost hovering in air as the Guard Light washed over the Heartless.
Closing his hand to a fist and pulling it back towards his chest, he fell through the air, landing crouched on a knee and one foot. His hand was smoking, remnants of the light element forming a hazy dissapation that smoldered out like a snuffed fire. He stood upright, looking towards the Darkside as it lurched backwards. Headless.

Jason was about ready to start moving back to the hut that Rook had owned when he was immediately struck with the presence of a large mass of darkness. As he turned his head around, he noticed a Darkside appearing near them once more. It surprised him as he wondered why another would appear so soon after one had been destroyed. But there was little that they could do at this time as he watched Akira quickly jump into battle. But it didn't take long before Akira was grabbed by the Darkside and started to be crushed.
Then Rook lowered Jason down, allowing him to rest against a rock and watched him jump into the midst of battle. As he watched Rook run up the arm of the giant heartless, grab one of the tendril like hairs, and launch his signature 'Guard Light' attack upon the head of the heartless. Once the light had disappeared, the head was seemingly gone. But as time went on, the darkness formed around where his head would be and it started to reform. It would take some time, but the head would return soon enough, unless the group defeated it.
Jason, staggeringly, stood up and started to walk, slowly, to the darkside. Due to the massive darkness, Shadows started to appear as well, but Jason wasn't worried as he quickly swung his staff around, defeating those that got too close. But that wasn't all as he quickly ran his hand down his staff. "The power within, duplicate my staff and attack with a mind of your own." He said as his staff quickly duplicated and shot forward, attacking the darkside over and over again, primarily hitting the hand that held Akira so that he might be able to be let go.
And if Akira was let go, then the staff would quickly allow him to ride on it and take him down to the ground so that he might continue to attack. He then ran his hand down his staff again and said "The power within, duplicate my staff and defend with a mind of your own." His staff duplicated once more as it started to fend off the shadows that were getting close. He held his crystal ball in his hand, still walking forward until he was within throwing distance of the Darkside. Just a bit longer and he could once more absorb a Darkside's darkness within the light.
