In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Vexen took in the replica's reaction with great care. It's indomitable will to survive surfacing. Desperately clinging on to every reason it could come up with to be allowed to live again. But the remnant did have a point that Vexen could not overlook. His replica seemed to have been developing independently in the time of his 'absence' His green eyes shifted to the pods where the next line of replica's were being manufactured. For this line to be successful, it was best to isolate the factor that caused the Riku replica to stray from it's template.
"So it is to be judged again that you desire. Very well, your unforeseen mutations are perhaps worthy to be tested. Come with me." Vexen then said, as he turned around and walked to the far wall of the room. There was a door leading to a different chamber. As Vexen preferred to continue the conversation out of the chamber with his new pet projects. The Chilly Academic crossed over into the other room where he awaited Daichi.

Although the translation Vexen recieved wasn't the same as he intended, the replica just went with the flow and followed suit. His hands were stuffed in his pockets before going out in the wretched white rooms again. Going from Traverse Town to the World That Never Was and back here was trauma to the eyes. Holding the door open he let himself in, while staring at Vexen waiting.
"Now what?" The question wasn't neccessary, since the replica can pretty much guess where everything was leaning towards. He hummed at the idealistic conclusion, but just to be sure he eyed Vexen in search of the answer.
The new room was large, round and empty. Vexen was still contemplating on what purpose would be best suited for this room. Ironically it was now perfect for the task at hand. The Chilly Academic crossed the room till passed the middle and then turned around. Looking at Daichi. The door behind him closed. Vexen then spoke:"Well then, lets begin. Show me the anomalies of your original template."

"I'm not a dog Vexen," the replica replied blandly at the command; he wasn't a mere puppet following orders, "Motivate me. I should have reasoning and a benefit to do this, since it is your inquiry. What do I get out of this?"
His arms folded over his chest waiting. If Vexen was going to pry this book up, there should be a reason or stimulation for this book to even give in. In the end if he was to go through with this without any gaining, the Chilly Academic would just have another piece of data to dance with, while he can possibly be casted aside.
"You give me what I need, and you can get all the data of my quirks. I don't like working with probabilities. Just to say not to long ago you were so eager to get rid of me like I was trash."
"And trash you still could be." Was Vexen's swift answer. Giving an penetrating glare at Daichi with his green beady eyes. The original Riku on which the Replica was based was never this much for words. A shift was becoming noticeable from wisdom to intelligence. Still the Chilly Academic wondered how long it would take for the being to realize that it was not in control of the situation. With his cackling voice he started to explain:
"It is you who needs to prove to me that you are worthy of another chance, remnant. You came to me to have purpose again. I have not yet decided whether I will give it to you yet. If it's motivation you require, then know that this will determine your fate. Your very existence will depend on it. Should you convince me, then there will be a use for you in the Organization. Fail and you will be terminated right here, right now."
Vexen then reached with his hand upward in the sky as lined up in front of him, 4 Nobody Guards appeared. The new personal lesser Nobodies of Vexen. The four guards formed a line with their large tower shields in front of them. Hovering eerily above the ground as the hollow helmets stared at their target without any feelings.
After that, Vexen again channeled the power of darkness through the entire room. The walls shimmered from the floor till the ceiling as a form of forcefield erected over the room. The door becoming unaccessible. The forcefield would prevent anybody or anything from entering or leaving. Even through the corridors of darkness. So the Nobodies had to be summoned before raising the field.
Vexen had no patience for disobedient subjects. He would get his data one way or the other. No rogue replica would tell him off. The number IV wouldn't allow that to happen. This would happen on his terms or not at all. His eyes narrowed as he was eager to see the long lost replica in action.

The replica looked away at the walls somehow loosing interest in even engaging in a glaring showdown, but he did casually glance at the Nobody every now and then only to see the cold eyes intensity. It seems he had stepped on a nerve, so much for them lacking emotions. The aloof fascade the replica wore combusted as his eyes narrowed when Vexen mentioned termination.
Glaring at Vexen he made a silent promise to himself to not even give the Chilly Academic that satisfaction. For a moment he couldn't determine whether he would rather submit to Riku as a subordinate than permit Vexen any closeness to shut him down. Feeling a chill tormenting his frame with goosebumps, he snorted once his company multiplied. He should've found this typical of Vexen to not step up himself. 'Why he hadn't?' seemed like a question that would forever be unanswered; regardless, he couldn't care now not when he had Nobodies staring him down probably eager to surround and breath down his back.
The shield was up, and he was locked in; in a fraction of a second, he wondered briefly if he could keep a promise he made much earlier. Moving in a stance, a dark cloude rippled as Souleater filled his empty hand. He had only one mission in mind fight against satisfying Vexen and rid of these nobodies. If Vexen can hold back, then he could do the same and dangle the unreachable data in his creator's face. Generally he had an idea of what he would do, but with new foes, he would need to improvise and take smart steps. One thing was obviously; those shields were going to be problematic.
He might as well start; the sooner he moved, the sooner this can be over with, and hopefully this can end without even utilizing what he had obtained. Darting towards the left, he was going head on towards one on the farthest side. As he got closer, his left hand illuminated.
The 4 Nobody Guards moved forward as a whole. Creating some distance between them and their master Vexen. Their sides close to each other and the shields forward. Forming a shield wall facing the replica. Their helmets locked on their single target. While the robes that make up their bodies hovered over the ground.
Vexen himself kept looking with a cold expression. In truth he had expected more then such a simple attack. It raised questions as well. The possibility that the replica was holding back surfaced in his mind, together with the thought that he was wasting his time on this remnant. Breathing in deeply the Chilly Academic gathered energy and lashed out with a Frost attack. The floor between him and Daichi quickly got coated by a thin but slippery layer of ice. The Nobody Guards were unaffected by the ground as they were levitating.

He was planning to turn sharply to get behind the guard. Before he can pivot, his body started to slid due to his momentum. Dark flames were thrown at the last minute at the guard's back before he could completely loose balance. Lowering his center of gravity, the replica composed himself. Seeing the slick shine to the floor, he gaze rose back up to Vexen. Was the Nobody having a tantrum already after sticking some hints together?
The youth snorted in amusement as he used the Souleater to slice the thin layer below him as he crouched down. He wasn't going to give into him so easily or quickly, and ideally he knew away to get rid of the slippery problem and some. With the energy build up in his legs, the replica jumped up ready to test the weak-willed nobodies Vexen set-up for him. From above, he struck down on a Guard conducting Helm Split. He knew their shields weren't made for nothing as well as their helmets, but he was more concerned with their sense of reflexes. Before he would grunt and yell with each swing, but constant practice in this forsaken Castle made this manuever very simplistic to him. What he was waiting for was the dark flames to combust underneath the unwanted nobody.
He would burn any of those close-by and demolish the ice layering on the floor. In a sense he was smashing two birds with one stone, while picking up as much information on these nobodies as possible and in return use the same manuevers he was programmed with.
The Nobody Guard kept floating in place on the exact same spot. No longer moving and holding it's ground. It's helmet locked onto the replica's movement. While Daichi slid over the ice. The Guard rotated keeping the shield facing him. The dark flames dissipated against the large shield. Splitting open and losing their power.
As Daichi leaped up, the helmets of the four Guards jerked back as the empty blackness stared at the oncoming attack. The Guard then lifted up his shield a bit and started to slide backward. Making the Helm Split land on the angled shield. Each blow got shielded as each hit caused the Guard to move further backward.
The other Guards dashed off sidewards and moved in a circling moving around the two. Setting themselves up in the position to surround Daichi. At all times, the large hovering tower shields wielders facing their shield at their target. Moving strategically like chess pieces.
The flames at the ground under the one Guard that was shielding the Helm Split shot up. The sensation of the flames coming from underneath caused the Guard to stagger. Clearly reacting and taking damage from the explosion. Still the damage it took seemed to be minimal. The Frost of Vexen melted and the ground was no longer an iceskatehall.
Still all four Guards had now enclosed themselves around Daichi. In front of him, at his two sides and behind him. Was now a towering Nobody Guard staring down on the boy. Their robes billowing ominously as the shields with the Nobody symbol were blocking his maneuverability.

Wielding the blade tightly, the replica merely snorted before his eyes glanced quickly checking the height distance. His free hand twitched with a crackle. With lack of room, he would have to rely on the innate strength he had. With a swift movement, he crouched down as a hued sphere engulfed around him; he wouldn't put it pass any of them to not strike in an enclosed area. With Dark Aura as protective gear, the replica lept up with a chakra ready to be tossed.
As the replica leaped up, the helmets followed his movement upwards. Staring at the boy without any emotions or feelings. Like statues they remained in place. Keeping the close confinement with their tower shields in place.
Vexen spotted the replica leap up with his dark aura activated. His eyebrow rose as he estamated carefully the height and strenght of his jump. Now hovering in the air Daichi was a slave to gravity making his movement easy to calculate. With a flick of Vexen's hand toward him. An Ice Blast got hurled at the replica.

A blue hue crept his peripheral vision making his brow furrowed. Glancing over he could see ice nearing close. Improvising, the chakra was thrown at the blast to cut its power down and continue on towards Vexen; he wasn't fond of Vexen's little game and retaliated. With dark aura up the ice was blocked, but the force pushed the replica over away from the upcoming prison surrounded by the Guard Nobodies. With the additional favor, Daichi smirked once landing behind them with Dark Aura in affect with the nobodies blocking Vexen's view.
Let the charge begin; with Souleater held tightly he charged towards the Guards' backs as he manueved hitting one, than another, and any in his path. Yet again, this wasn't anything new. For all the replica new, he was winning this charade as secret still lied in his back pocket on the back burner.
The chakram came hurling down straight at Vexen. The chilly academic saw it coming closer. Crossing the expanse between the fight and himself. He remained standing still without undertaking any action. Closer the chakram came to deliver a damaging blow and Vexen stood still letting it near.
Then at the very last moment, with a quick motion, he raised his free hand in front of him. Palm wide open in the path of the chakram right before it connected. A blinding white flash erupted as the screeching sound of ice being carved and the violent powers of the chakram were struggling. A moment later there was silence. While Vexen stood unmoved. His arm still stretched out and in his hand, the chakram encased in a chunk of crystal clear ice. Super condensed and coursing with his power. Vexen had captured the chakram and by his will preventing it to be recalled back by the replica. Taking from him this weapon from his arsenal.
Meanwhile at the fight with the Guards. Daichi managed to land 1 hit at the back of the nearest Guard. But it spun round immediately after that and blocked the rest with his shields. The others joined their brother and again an indomitable shieldwall was erected that didn't budge at all at the charge and attacks of the replica.
After the series of attacks. The Guard at the side of the wall that wasn't being attacked leaned it's shield back a bit and dashed forward. Slashing with the sharp side of the shield upward like a large sword. Right in the moment it reached his apex and was vulnerable to counterattack, the Guard at the other end of the wall attacked as well in the same motion. At his point of vulnerability, the first one had returned to its default shielding stance.

Nearing them all, the purple down deflected the shield from the Guard. Raising Souleater up, he leaped before stabbing into the ground erupting flames beneath the Nobodies. With a boom, streams of purple cannon like flames erupted beneath them.
Yanking the sword out, he was running around to attack a Guard from behind with slashes and cuts with effortless swiftness. Once the flame cleared, the dome went down with a shimmer. Staying on his toes, he zig-zag through to attack any he could with the window of time he had. Seeing how the last reacted to the flames, it wasn't forever.
"The real Riku would have defeated them by now." Vexen coldly stated. His patience was growing thin. So far the replica had not shown any reason why it should still be allowed to remain active.
The fires erupted underneath the Guards, burning them. The hovering robed Nobodies drifted away from the flames. Losing their focus on Daichi. Making the beginning of the replica's retaliation successful on the first Guard. Cutting out a large chunk of it's health. But as soon as the fire died out, the Guards regained composure and faced their large shields toward the threat again. While they remained indomitable forces of defense.
Vexen in the mean time, raised his hand and gathered energy. Then while stretching his hand forward. A massive spike of ice shot out from the ground before him. Reaching a staggering 3 meters in total. The tip towering out over Vexen himself. The large spike strong and fast enough to pierce through a body whole. Instantly after that, another spike shot up from the ground. And then another, and another. Continuously moving away from Vexen and homing in on Daichi. The Homing Groundspikes reached running speed as they reached the replica. To impale him from below.
