In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

"No he wouldn't," this counterpart wouldn't have if he was holding himself back like Daichi, who still wasn't giving into Vexen's game prolonging it all. Luckily he was holding up on his own without having to tap into it whatsoever, which in a sense was a laugh of mockery at his creator. The irritation in Vexen's voice only brought a smile as he pushed a button by not simply giving what the Nobody wanted when he wanted. Daichi already uttered what he would agree to; give him what he wants, and he will give in return not be Vexen's open encyclopedia. He would get what he deserves, this frustration, for wanting to toss him out, becuase with this rebellious act, there was something worthwhile behind the cloak of stubbornness.
One Guard was soon to go, and Daichi was going to make it dance until it fail lowering the numbers as he went. He began tracking down the severe wounded Guard. His brows dipped sensing a collection of energy, and he glanced at Vexen. He was becoming bratty, which wasn't too surprising. Mentally, he was thinking 'do your worst'. The ice was upon him; the replica slowed himself down as he ran towards his targetted Guard. With little effort, he jumped and began attacking the shield keeping the Guard occupied as the spike ice would continue in his line action towards the Guard Nobody.
The Guards again swirled around Daichi. Rotating round him like the electrons round an atom. At all times keeping their large shields facing in its direction. Slowly the 4 drew closer as the gaps between the shields diminished closer and closer. As the 4 Guards boxed the Replica in again. Their hollow helmets looking down on the boy.
Then not from one of the Guards but from the ground beneath Daichi's feet, a Freezing Spike shot up. An attack initiated by Vexen who was concealed from Daichi's view by the towering Guard. And with the Guards keeping him firmly in one place, it was unnecessary to keep evasive maneuvers in mind. The Freezing Spike would instantly encase the replica completely in ice when hit.
Regardless of success or not, the 4 Guards then backed away for a couple of meters. Raising their shields now at an angle so that the sharp bottom tip was sticking out. The hovering robed Nobodies started to spin around their axles. Increasing in speed until they were whirling menaces with the shield's tip rotating like a blade. Their speed so fast they became a blur to the naked eye. Spinning the Guards moved in to attack the Replica. Their Shields swirling so fast that any attempt to block or stop them would lead to severe cutting or being pushed away. Since they surrounded Daichi, the cutting Guards closed in simultaneously from 4 corners.

Damn you...
Gravity was bringing him back down in his prison with little options left. Although he never experienced being in a cage, Daichi wasn't admiring it; the other pests needed to be eliminated quickly, and he didn't like the route he would have to take. The realm of darkenss and his chakra was out of reach, which only stimulated a desire to have his creator's head on the platter; there was no such thing of playing fair, but do whatever one can. Regardless doing what he can would give the other what he wants; perhaps he should've trained more before playing this game.
The replica hit the ground harder than the norm as three pair of feet used the body as leverage to jump out of the prison cell. The sacrificial lamb was locked between nothingness. The replica looked up at them with a glare before a blue dome covered it completely. The notion to strike was frozen in action. The four guards was spinning closer as three replicas landed on the outside. Stimutanaenouly purple domes of Dark Aura formed around them as they closed in only 3 of the Guard Armors. The charges and rams continued to keep them confided in their target forcing the frozen replica to take all the blunder. As expected dark flames erupted from below the Nobodies powered by three individuals.
Vexen's eyebrow rose up as three Riku Replica's jumped out from the circle of Nobody Guards. Landing in strategic places behind them and charging up an attack. The Guards did not alter their attack or responded to the new enemies. Their focus and target was still the one who was now immobilized and encased by ice. The spinning shields cuts through the ice, causing it to shatter. The one in the ice felt the blending cuts from four sides as the chunks of ice were being flailed around by the force.
The dark flames erupted all around it, the icy cold followed with burning heat left a numbness sensation. As the fire shot up through the spinning Guards. The fires caused them to wobble around dangerously and their speed started to drop tremendously. They removed themselves from the one in the ice and hovered outward again. The three Guards that were hit stopped soon with spinning and started to rotate around. Facing each Riku lookalike as if they could not decide or choose against who to protect. The one Guard that wasn't hit was ironically the Guard that had been taking a severe beating until now and only had little strength left.
The battered replica was freed from the coffin of ice. But at a heavy cost, the Guards however seemed to be at disarray as they could not coop with the sudden multiplication of enemies. They joined up in pairs as they hovered now with their backs against each other. Two couples of Guards having a large shield at either way. The winged hollow helmets shifting between their targets to determent who to defend to next.
Then Vexen's voice sounded, the Guards all raised their helmets and directed their view on their master in unison. "Well, well, well... we're you perhaps trying to hide this new ability from me, remnant? Why, showing it has just now ensured your continuation."
The 4 Guards remained motionless in their defense stance. Becoming statues that floated only just above the ground. Their robes hanging now straight down. No longer showing any indication of continuing the fight. Vexen dismissed his shield into nothingness as he slowly started to step closer. While doing so, he stared down on the 4 Daichi's. "So you now have the ability to control illusions, just like Zexion. No not just like him, exactly like him. It is all becoming clear to me now. You have reawaken your innate ability to absorb."
The Guards started to back away as Vexen approached the one that was trapped in the ice. Giving their lord space as they shifted to the background. Awaiting patiently for their next orders. The large domed chamber flickered as the forcefield along the walls dissipated. The Chilly Academic had no more need for it. Stopping only a little distance away from the replica that had been in the ice, Vexen continued while having a satisfying smirk on his face. This had to be the real one, Vexen thought. Even with the powers of illusion the real replica couldn't have avoided his freezing groundspike.
"It seems your defect has turned out to be a blessing instead. This opens up a multitude of possibilities. Yes, you could be useful again. You could have ... purpose... again."

The replica encased in the ice was free, but injured and seemingly tattered. It craned it's head snorting at Vexen. He can't his face blank of a wrinkled frown as the intensity just stayed in his eyes. His eyes glanced for a moment looking at the other faces that matched its own; they were poised with Soul Eaters ready to strike. The replica haven't even stood yet as Vexen smirked down on him.
"What now...," one of them hummed, yet it wasn't the one sitting on the ground. Daichi wasn't going to sacrifice himself personally to be prisoner to those Guards; he had already concluded that he didn't like cages or being confined, so he placed an Illusion in his place. The illusion merely stood as it stared at Vexen, while Daichi remained in his stance towards a Guard. Illusion sharply sighed an exhale, "now what?"
Luckily there was still more hidden in his back pocket, but with a mere kitten out of the bag, the Nobody can guess the other assets without a clear cut conclusion until shown.
"Now... patience." Was Vexen's reply. He turned away and walked toward the one door. The Guards disappeared as their presence was no longer required. Leaving only the Chilly Academic and Daichi with his duplicates. But Vexen ignored all of them as he walked out of the large round chamber.
"I shall work you in my schedule at some point, for now I advise for you to travel. Your starting to accumulate unique memories that will define you. No longer a mere copy of another being, but something unique. Gaining more will help you form your purpose, your destiny. So travel around, learn... absorb. Even though all will mistake you for the real Riku at first, the illusion power you now posses will surely overcome that if you wish."
And with those words, Vexen left the testchamber and returned to his other projects.
