In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Shira said she was ready and, looking over at Shiro, Saxen saw that he was ready, too. He closed his eyes and ran his hand through Kalck's fur. "One last piece of advice for you two: trust your Nutar and try to be as relaxed as possible. Now, since you all said you were ready. . ." He smiled and gave the take-off signal. All three bats took off from the ground simultaneously and very rapidly. The large wings of the Nutara made a lot of noise in the air as they got their initial speed before they could glide. Once they were gliding, Saxen spoke up, again. "If it'll make you any more comfortable, I encourage you to talk to them!" With that, he leaned forward and started catching up with Kalck. Apparently, he had been relocated to the city they were headed to immediately after Saxen had left, so he hadn't been able to keep up with their friends.
As they flew over the wall, Saxen stopped his conversation to look down at it. Kalck even dove down for him. The wall had been several thick and made of solid stone, but it had been broken right through. There were broken pieces of stone scattered out as far as 20 yards into the city. Once into the city, there were weapons dropped all throughout the outer ring, district 3, the outer military district. Swords, axes, and spears littered the ground, but there were no bodies to accompany these abandoned weapons. There were no bodies because their hearts had been taken. They had become Heartless.
Kalck then pulled back up to fly higher over the residential district and the inner military district. When they reached the castle, he perched up on a ninth floor window and entered. Saxen then dismounted and looked around. Shiro and Shira would be coming in very shortly, but he needed to find someone to give them a report. Calm yourself. He sighed and leaned against the wall opposite the window. When Shira and Shiro came in, he pushed off the wall and stood up straight. "Well, how was your ride?"
((If your character does talk to their Nutara, that's going to be your thing to deal with.))
"Fine..." Shira responded, as she got off her huge bat; or as Saxen called them, Nutar. She landed softly on the ground, her feet firmly fixed onto where she stood. She wasn't that impressed, not really...there had been many things that have intrigued the dark persona, for some reason flying was never one of them. Because of that, her flight was a quiet one. She didn't feel the need to talk with her Nutar, and so just kept silent as she looked around to get a better view of Saxen's world.
It was horrible, the heartless had done so much damage to the place...There was an unsettling feeling Shira had in her stomach, but she soon disregarded it as it seemed irrevelent to the goal at hand. "It's a good thing V's asleep..." she said quietly, waiting with Saxen for Shiro. "I think her heart might've broke...if she saw what the heartless had done..." The dark persona looked over at the boy, and was about to say something...when she decided against it, and turned back to the window. All she wanted now, was for all of this to be over...there was no time for sentimental comments. Soon Shiro would come, and then they would continue their adventure...it was as simple as that. Or, at least she thought it was.
Shiro definately saw that response coming. Knowing that Shira was "okay", he turned his head and watched as three giant bats flew in. Uh... That was really convenient. Well, now they didn't have to waste their time walking to the castle. Anyways, the man just simply watched as Saxen and his bat have a reunion. After their little hug, Saxen looked at Shira and him and explained what they were going to do. Shiro had no problem with flying on the creatures. Saxen seemed to know the bats, so the gravity controller didn't have to worry about sitting on the creatures that they just met. Doing what Saxen did, Shiro nodded at his "friend", letting Saxen know that he was ready. Alright, it was time to get this over with.

Once the nutar landed, Shiro got off with his eyes widened. It was funny on how the man's mood changed during the flight. Before he was mad and just wanted to get everything over with, but now... He was quite happy. Shiro has never experienced flight before. It was really fun in his opinion. He had a blast, but with all the destruction around them, he tried to keep that from showing. Taking a deep breath, he replied, "I-It was okay. Maybe V would like flying as much as he did? He hoped so, but he was kind of glad that she didn't experience it here though. Anywho, Shiro instantly stopped thinking about the whole flying thing and returned to the serious situation that they were in. "Alright, so where to now?"
Shira didn't really comment on the flight and Shiro got straight to business. He sighed at Shiro's abruptness and pushed himself off the wall. "Now, we find where they're evacuating from, which would likely be the Open Hall. That's on the fifth floor, and we're. . . on the ninth, so we're going down four." He didn't speak any of this out because he thought they couldn't figure it out, but because it helped him think when he could talk it out to himself. "Once we're down there, try not to get lost. Everyone from the city is gonna be crammed in this castle, aside from those already evacuated, so I would estimate anywhere from 50-75% of the city is still here." He motioned for them to follow him and started down the hall, then down each flight of stairs, having to walk through each floor to get to the next set.
Once in the Open Hall, it was just as crowded as Saxen had said it would be. There was hardly room for anyone to move. As they stepped in, he thought that he should have worn his uniform, but he quickly remembered how much they stood out in their normal clothes. Everyone but the soldiers were wearing robes or dresses to use as little cloth/skin as possible, while still sufficiently covering their bodies. As the people noticed the Oranhs, they moved out of the way to allow Saxen, Shira, and Shiro to talk to the highest ranking officer around. Saxen was extremely grateful. He didn't like crowds.
They approached a man with short brown hair and a beard wearing the typical armor of the Anhzyt, only the leather was colored gray. The man gave a slight bow and shouted, "Zytanh, sir!"
Saxen sighed. "Peter, you still outrank me. I was never even promoted to 2nd class." He sighed again before continuing. "Anyway, I just stopped by for a status report, sir."
Peter nodded and thought for a few seconds. "We have about half of the residential district evacuated and we have dispatched two thirds of the military district to act as aerial escorts for the civilians. Every Nutar in the area is helping with the transportation and protection of the civilians from both the Heartless and the Tyga. So far, we have no civilian injuries in the moving process."
"What about during the attack? And soldiers?"
"During the attack, District 3 took the brunt of the damage, though there were some residents of District 2 that did not evacuate when they were told to." Peter then turned to Shira and Shiro. "And who might you two Oranhs be? I would assume that you are with the Zytanh."
As Saxen spoke, the darker persona just slightly nodded her head. There wasn't time for aimless chit-chatter, so all she could do now was follow the man to their destination, and hopefully make it there before her limit finally reached it's end. She followed him as he signaled them to walk down the hall, then through a flight of stairs, going through each floor before descending onto another set. At this point, Shira didn't even bother to look around. Afterall she had seen quite enough of what the castle looked like from the outside, so there was no reason for her to waste her energy.
Once the three of them entered the Open Hall, Shira's eyes widened. It was just like Saxen said it would be, and even worst in her mind. There were probably thousands of people in that room, and unlike her other self who loved to be around people, Shira hated it. Luckily soon after the civilians had saw them, they moved out of the way so that they could move freely across the room. Though thankful, the darker persona couldn't help but question the civilians actions. Why did they move so suddenly? Was it because Saxen was with them? The girl didn't understand, but finding it rather useless to wonder about frivolous things disregarded the thought.
It was then Shira realized the man standing in front of them. She turned her head to look at him, and examining him thoroughly just stood there silently as Saxen and him engaged into a conversation. Ignoring most of their words, the dark persona looked around the room. How pitiful they looked...all of these people, she could sense their fear and...in a way felt sort of bad for them. "V would break if she saw all these people... she thought whilstfully.
Her attention was then veered back at the man Saxen was talking to, as he addressed to Shiro and her. "And who might you two Oranhs be? I would assume that you are with the Zytanh." he asked. Shira gave the man a questioningly look. Oranhs? Zytanh? Just what the hell did those two words mean? She looked over at Saxen, as if expecting an explanation, then looking back at the mans said in a cold voice. "If you mean to ask if we're with Saxen, then yes we are. My name is Shira." She then pointed to Shiro beside her, and keeping the same tone in her voice added, "And this idiot here is Shiro, there all introductions are done now."
Shiro’s “flying happiness” disappeared instantly as they walked into the Open Hall. His surroundings definitely brought his mood down. All the people’s expressions, the worry, the fear, the sadness, made the man feel really bad for them. He was never in a situation like this. He was in other horrible situations, but he had never been in something like this. His mind stepped into their shoes, but instantly stepped out, knowing how he’d feel. Losing his parents was not a lovely thing either. But he had his memories wiped, so he didn’t know exactly how much pain he felt right after the incident. If he were one of them, he’d definitely want his memories wiped after it was all over.
The gravity controller tried to swing his thoughts from his surroundings to Saxen and his friend’s conversation, but it was hard not to think about it. Trying his best, he listened to the conversation and tried not to let his thoughts distract him from it.
…
Okay, being new to a world sucked, since he couldn’t understand what any of the people meant. But, thankfully, they spoke English, though their vocabulary was different from his own. When the guy asked, “And who might you two Oranhs be? I would assume that you are with the Zytanh,” Shiro gave the man a confused look. Maybe “Oranhs” meant “humans” in their world. He’d just have to assume that for now. Zytanh? He had no idea what he meant by that, so he’d just have to start with introducing himself first. When Shira called him an idiot, he just wanted to roll his eyes. Real mature, Shira…
But keeping a smile on his face, he offered his hand to shake and added, “My friend can be immature sometimes. But yeah, I’m Shiro. Nice to meet you.”
(Sorry, rushed post. And Noma, my apologies for not posting when I said I would. When life throws rocks at you, you… I don’t really know how to finish that sentence.)
Peter shook Shiro's hand and looked at the trio, nodding, quite distracted by everyone in the room. "It is nice to meet you both, as well. . . though I am afraid I have some business to attend to. Saxen, take this." He handed Saxen a slip of paper before disappearing into the crowd. Saxen just slipped it into his pocket and turned to Shira and Shiro.
"Well. . . we'll fly over the main city, but we aren't going in, as much as I'd like to. Instead, we mount up, again, and we're going to the Wilderness. I'll tell you more once we're in the air." He started toward the giant stone doors on the other side of the room and placed his hands on one of them. "These doors take a team of soldiers to open. I think the three of us can do it." With that, he smiled and started to pull.
[[Sorry for the pathetic post, but we need to get this moving, again, either way.]]
Shira sighed, "This is really driving my patience.... she murmured quietly to herself. She went over to Saxen's side, and placing her hand on the stone door started to pull as well. At that moment, the door began to shift slightly, moving only a few inches towards them. The dark persona grinned, "Guess this thing is a little heavier than I thought...no matter... She closed her eyes, and giving the door a tug managed to get a small crack. only a but more now... she thought. "Come on Shiro...anytime you decide to help us would be great... she said impatiently.
