In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

(( After much hard work and decision making, the ship from Radiant Garden has taken off and reunited with those from Traverse and Twilight Town. On board are both canons and OCs ready to explore the legendary world of Atlantis. A variety of standard and custom gummi ships have also been stored in the cargo area.
This thread the main hub for the Radiant Garden crew. However, travel between any of three ships is both possible and encouraged. Feel free to have your character take one of the transport pods to another thread to meet the other adventurers.
After a bit of time to rest and get characters settled, the next stage of the expedition shall begin.
Note: it can be assumed that at this point, all OCs have been informed about the surface 'nature' of this expedition. I.e, they're off to find the lost world.))

Naps are awesome... I can't believe I haven't had a nap in three months... It's not as if she hadn't tried, Rose thought while she stretched, refreshed. What with so many mutants, murderers, cannibals, and zombies wandering her homeworld, there weren't all that many places safe enough to nap, and the people in those places always wanted favors, always had something the needed doing. A small red light attracted her attention. It was her wrist computer, sitting on the small dresser. "Damn... Now what?" She tapped the screen, and lines of code began scrolling down. "Damn it, that friggin' glitch is back." She tapped a button, clearing the screen, and activating her radio. "Commander, that weapon software glitch is back. There's some kind of feedback loop between the ship's computers, and the gummi blocks. I'm going to head down to Weapons to try and fix it."

Ravian sat in his room, bored out of his mind, nothing had happened in so long. He had expected this ride to be thrilling. A new world! One that hadn't been seen by himan eyes for centuries, or thats what he was told at least. So far all he had seen was the inside of this ship. But on the plus side he had a free place to stay, free food and he would eventually see a new world, or at least he hoped, as far as they knew this place "Atlantis" didn't even exist. Even if it did there was no guarantee it was in the place it the ship was going.
He looked about his his finger mindlessly twiling in his dreads. He got up quickly, too quickly making himself a bit dizzy after lying down for so long. He stumbled to the door, not happy with the mindless monotony of the ship, he decided to head out, maybe meet some of the people he saw back at the crash site. He wandered out into the hallways, not even thinking that he may get lost, about an hour later he wished he thought of that and simply gone to the mess hall or the bridge, but as he continued along his way he saw someone and as he got closer he realized it was one of the people from when the ship crashed. He hurried his pace a bit making some noise on the ships floor so he wouldn't surprise the person. "Hey remember me? How's it going?" He said, he wasn't going to admit he was lost he was much to prideful for that and he would find his way back eventually he had gotten lost in this stupid ship several times. It was probably why he hadn't gone to any of the other ships.
Thinking back and remembering the quiet, shy little girl back on the stairs of the Notre Dame made her laugh softly to herself. Ink went from living with her family in Paris to living on her own in Radiant Garden, and now she's on a Gummi Ship- one of three? four?- heading towards a completely different world. Before the attack on Paris, she never would've dreamed of leaving her homeworld. Disregarding the fact that she technically didn't know any other worlds existed, that is. But she was happy there, and didn't need to travel to keep herself occupied.
And now? Did that mean she wasn't happy anymore?
No. It just meant she found a new reason to be happy, that's all.
Although patience was not usually one of her virtues, Ink found herself quite content to sit still until the end of their journey. Or, so she thought. But her eyes scanned the room around her, she realized it wasn't going to be so easy. How long had it been already? Minutes? Hours?
And this was how Ink found herself wandering around the ship, searching for something to keep her mind off of the past. Not that she was getting sad or anything, since after two years she'd accepted her new life, but as with everything else, too much of a good thing could be bad. Or, boring.
"Hey remember me? How's it going?"
The voice carried down the hall, obviously coming from somewhere up ahead. Ink quickened her pace, eventually catching up to two others as they walked on. In the back of her mind, she knew she'd seen them before, but as usual she couldn't remember much about them at all. Oh well.
"Good so far. You?" She replied, well aware that it wasn't her question to answer but doing so anyway. A smile pulled at the corners of her lips, and she hoped they wouldn't be insulted or offended by her sudden interruption. After all, how far would they get if they couldn't even remember each other's names?
Akira rubbed his forehead as he slowly sat upwards in a bed. He looked around the setting he was sleeping in moments ago.
"W-Where am I?" He said, confused.
He got up from his bed, but felt a sickening pain in his stomach. He grabbed his belly with one hand and he picked up a piece of paper next to his bed.
Akira muttered as he read the note, "Dear passenger... We apologize for the abrupt seize... Blah blah blah, the world, Atlantis, blah blah blah... Thank you."
Now he had remembered. He signed up for this expedition where they were taking random citizens of Radiant Garden to find this new world called Atlantis. But he never guessed they would've abducted him. The urge to through up made him realize the ship had already started it's voyage. He groaned as he tried to overcome his space sickness.
Soon Akira felt normal again, though he was still wobbly. He decided to take a stroll through the halls, maybe make some new friends in this trip. He grabbed Empty Space and walked like an elderly man as he wandered the ship. After walking in the empty halls, he heard some voices. He stood straight, and walked towards the people in the conversation.
"Is she holding?" "Yes sir!" "Then increase throttle by a third." The calm words of Commander Lyle Rourke echoed in the new bridge of the new ship that was build in Radiant Garden. It was a smaller ship then the original Ulysses due to the short time it needed to be constructed in. But with the help of Cid Highwind and all the citizens it turned out to be a fine vessel. They had been going slow and taking it easy at first. Since there were still a lot of doubts about the integrity of this unknown ship. Fearing that it would break up or worse at take off. Luckily it was continuing it's maiden voyage beautifully and convincing the Commander and the crew of her reliability.
The beauty of traveling through the stars was passing by the large windows on the bridge. Stars, nebula's, comets, worlds,... The tunnel stripes of flying at high speeds were growing longer an intenser as the throttle was raised slowly. Nobody but Rourke's own men had stations at the bridge. He allowed outsiders and people he had never met before to build this ship, but steer it was something he rather did not trust to a stranger, not yet. Reports were coming in, from his men at the several stations and by the radio's and intercom. One in particular made him raise and eyebrow.
"Commander, that weapon software glitch is back. There's some kind of feedback loop between the ship's computers, and the gummi blocks. I'm going to head down to Weapons to try and fix it."
The tips of his lips curled up faintly in a smile. This Rose reminded him so much of Audrey Ramirez in so many ways. But the smirk disappeared soon. For Audrey he had hand picked out of an large pile of other candidates. Men and woman all carefully screened, checked, double checked, rechecked and then checked again. This was not the case with Rose and all the other new recruits. He hoped that the others of his elite team would have survived to and been able to do the same as he was doing now.
The ship was nearing the emergency coördinates where there would be a rendez-vous. While the men were busy listening in on possible frequencies and using the sensors to scan their environment. As they got closer, hopeful signs were being received as other ships were in the nearby area and faint chatter could be heard on the frequencies used on the old Ulysses. More power was routed to the radio to amplify the radio signals. A victorious cheer erupted as the voices could be recognized as those of Ramirez and Lieutenantt Sinclair. And Rourke sends out a radio signal of himself.
"Attention, this is commander Lyle Rourke of the Atlantis Expedition. Calling out to all survivors of the Ulysses. We are nearing the rendez-vous coördinates. Leutenant Sinclair, Miss Ramirez, I require a status report."

At the same time, in the ship's corridors...
Vinny was huddling quite fast through the narrow corridors of the ship. Even though his face was still set on his normal unjoyful expression his body language was betraying urgency. He looked around, swaying his head from left to right and back. As if he was searching something. While all the time a smoking cigarette was in his mouth. Leaving behind a disappearing trail of smoke like a steam train that had gone by. He stepped up on the talking Ravian and Ink. Arriving at the same time as Akira but beating him to talking.
"Hey you guy's. Have you by any chance seen a red cylindrical object around here? About this big..." Vinny motions with his hand the size of the object while he keeps on explaining. "...with a fuse attached to it. It had the letters D Y N A M I T E on it. It wouldn't be hard to miss since the cord end was sparkling. It's a long, thick, slow burning fuse on that one. I need to find it and best before... you know, it gets urgent."
Rose was about to answer Ravian when another person showed up out of nowhere, and answered for her. She was a little annoyed, but that annoyance transferred to Vinny when he showed up and asked about a lost stick of... Wait, what? " What the hell?! You lost a lit stick of dynamite?!" Rose pressed the radio button. "Commander, if you hear an explosion, Vinny did it." She pressed a different button. The computer said a single word. "READY." "Locate activated incindiary device." "SEARCHING..." Rose began darting glances around herself, to see if it was nearby. "Man, if that thing goes off, I'll have fun watching you clean up the mess." "INCINDIARY DEVICE NOT FOUND." "Well, frig."

Ramirez didn't waste anymore time, quickly giving her commander a short summary of her crew's status. She spoke quickly, carrying that thick, hispanic accent that had become a trademark of hers. Unfortunately, due the signal's bad reception, her statements were replaced by static at times.
"Audr.. Ram.... here. We have ab... ....ty, thirty surviv..., Sweet and Packard ... ..ing fine. I managed to bui.. ...ther ship in this "Twilight ...." ..d, so far, she's being qui.. ..arming. All systems a.. ...king perfectly."
(( Let's start rounds in this thread. New one starts on the 1st. Wrap up the small talk sometime soon so we can let the main attraction begin. ;] ))
Nyra lurched forward as the small transport pod latched on to the side of the other ship. Within moments the sealed door had opened. She stood, glanced at Jacob and Iggy, and led the way out of the pod and onto the new vessel.
As far as aesthetics went, Nyra could tell the ships weren't made of the same blueprint. But she had a feeling that underneath the floorboards the engine of each vessel was one and the same. These people knew what they were doing.
But then again, hadn't they crash landed on three different worlds?
As she walked along the aisles to the main lobby-like room of the ship, Nyra wondered curiously what kind of world this portion of the crew landed on. Knowing the three she'd been on so far - Tamara, Traverse Town, and Twilight Town - there was really no way to tell.
Very few people were milling about the main room. Most, she could assume, were doing their various duties aboard the ship. In the corner there was a bit of ruckus - something about a lost stick of dynamite? Before she could spend to much time pondering that one, however, a figure caught her eye.
Well, look who it is, she thought with a grin. Familiar faces were so reassuring nowadays. Nyra turned briefly to Iggy and Jacob. "Hold up a second, will you? I know that guy."
She approached Ravian and the pretty female he was conversing with. He hadn't spotted her yet, but they weren't talking about much, so Nyra went on ahead an interrupted. "Hey, you," she greeted from behind. "Long time no see."
She turned to the girl. Briefly she considered offering her hand in the greeting she had learned in Twilight Town - a handshake - but figuring she'd just mess it up somehow, she simply introduced herself instead. "I'm Nyra," she said with a smile. Then she addressed both of them. "The other part of the crew landed on a world I was training on, so I thought I'd tag along."
It wasn't quite that simple, but Nyra wasn't about to go into detail about her ventures with talking aliens.
"This is Jacob and Iggy, by the way. So what world did this ship come from? I daresay I remember you leaving Traverse Town, Ravian."

{Helga} Once Ramirez was done, which Helga could hear crystal clear, the blonde German continued with her report not knowing how badly the reception was on Rourke's end."
"Sinclair, fffzzzz, as for report---, we've manag[i[ffffzzzzzz[/i] Travfffzzz Town." The static continued before it died down again as Helga spoke louder,..."we have picked up recruits and fffffzzzzz...unwanted company fffffzzzz present once we arrive."
Seriously perhaps Packard should've been on Rourke's ship to clear this up. Afterall she was a talk-a-holic. "They are called "heartless"; they come in ffffzzzz sizes and are ffffzzzz black with yellow eyes. I've," the static worsened for a moment allowing permittign a few words"... symbol...heart...'x'."
"With our ffffzzz, we can stand ffffzzzz them fine. I will say that fffffzzz may interfere with our ffffffzzzz Just tell Vinny to pack up the ffffzzz just in case we run into bigger ffffffzzzzz to fry."
Lumaria, playing the part of Jacob, inclined his head to Nyra's friend as she introduced him and Iggy to him. He wore a small, polite smile on his face and extended his hand to the boy.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," he said,"So, did you two get picked up when this ship got rebuilt and took off?"
OOC: sorry for the bad post. @_@ I don't have much to doooo......
Iggy followed Jacob as Nyra took off to exchange greetings with the other people. As he approached the new people he put on a big smile. He didn't want to make a bad first impression.
He nodded to the two people and spoke, "The name's Iggy. Nice to meet you...." He waited for an answer while taking in the new ships look.
Ravian was stunned by the sudden onslaught of people. He had just said hi to one person but now it seemed that everyone was just coming out of no where.
He was surprised by inks....insertion into the conversation though he wasn't insulted, she seemed to just want somebody to talk to. It was about then everyone decided there was a party in the hall way. First it was Vinny, the guy who had called him a kid back in Radiant Garden, he didn't appreciate that. He had since learned of his relationship with explosives. Ravian had to hold back laughter as Rose chewed him out about him losing that stick of Dynamite, of course then again. What kind of idiot loses dynamite, its dynamite, the thing they use to blow up walls of rock.
Ravian had started to try to talk to Ink when he heard a familiar voice . "Hey, you, long time no see." he turned quickly not believing his ears. He hadn't expected to see her anytime soon. She had flown away with.....Zetsu that was his name. He smiled "Nyra it's been a long time, and I actually didn't catch that ride, but I did leave." Of course he didn't mention why he didn't catch that way off it was much too embarrassing to him. He rubbed his shoulder where there was now a scar from the fight that prevented him from leaving Traverse Town. "How've you been? Oh, and how did training go?" He especially remembered how outmatched she had been in the streets of Traverse Town. He waited for Nyra's friends to finish before introducing himself "I'm Ravian and I was picked up in Radiant Gardens, but I actually don't know her" he looked back to Ink "what's your name?"
Commander Lyle Rourke had walked closer to the communications and sensory post as he glanced at their panels and screens. Overlooking and double checking the readings his men gave him about the static and interference. The bad connection did not sit well with him one bit. He turned his head round and shouted at the helmsmen. "Adjust our course to intercept. Engines to full power. I want to be in visible range as soon as possible."
All people on board could feel and hear how the engines started to become louder and the ship accelerated. An unpleasant trembling was vibrating throughout the ship. Which continued for several minutes. After those minutes, the ship build in Radiant Garden was finally nearing the other two ships so that the connection was more clear and understandable.
Picking up the radio again Rourke broadcasts another message to Sinclair and Ramirez: "Lieutenant, Ramirez. You both have done exceptionally well. Do not beat yourself up for the ones we have lost. I'm sure you have done anything humanly possible to save as many as you could. We too have suffered losses. But we all knew the risk when we signed up for this mission. There was no mistake in that. The only thing we can do is move on in their honor. With the transmission now clear I'm sending over more detailed instructions on how to continue for both of you. Lets form up to a proper fleet. Rourke out."
___________
The ship's corridors...
There had been a slight tremble and the noticeable feel of the ship increasing speed and the engines roaring louder for a couple of minutes. Vinny's eyes rolled over the ceiling while the smoke of his cigarette kept on puffing out. He glanced back at the new recruits that they picked up from other worlds. He was only making a joke about the lit stick of dynamite. To see their reaction, at first Rose's reaction was very entertaining. But that feeling immediately turned round as she used her radio to betray him to Rourke and cover her own ass. It was clear now that she would rat him out at the slightest opportunity. Not a very trustworthy quality in a new team member. His droopy eyes squinted a bit at her. She was much to serious for her own good. Vinny took mental note to stay away from her from now on.
He shifted his eyes then at the others, nobody else really reacted to the notification of a lost burning stick of dynamite. At least they recognized the humor of it, he thought. Since the kid he met earlier on Radiant Garden was holding back his laughter. Finally Vinny placed his hands in the pockets of his trousers and raised his shoulders. Standing there silent as the others were all discussing among themselves.
