In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.
The icons you see across the site are from FontAwesome, an amazing icon library.
All images on this site belong to their respective owners or creators. Kingdom Hearts: World Destiny does not claim ownership of anything except our unique story.
All Original characters are the intellectual property of their respective RPers. Do not steal any characters or other creative works.
All Canon Characters belong to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix and Disney.
In light of several issues which have occurred lately, I think the site would be greatly benefited if the staff made the WD application process their next area of focus. There have been many miscommunications which have led to disputes both on the boards and in the CBox. Many of these disputes would be solved with clearer instructions and communication.
I'm sure a little bit of retooling would smooth things out a bit and that over time WD can be accepting profiles faster and with less conflict.
I third the sentiment. I though I think we should make a thread specifically asking everyone for some thoughts, then we take it after as set date and deliberate over what was suggested, along with our own ideas~
More hands won't help if even the interns are uncomfortable/overwhelmed by the app process.
What's worse then one headless chicken? Many headless chickens. Headless chickens everywhere.
The process needs to be less complicated, pretty straight forward, with what is required of them laid out in a simple to understand, easy to get into doing manner.

-3- well when I was doing profiles the hardship was 'making the charrie appropriate', which can make the process takes forever...because generally one is stuck with a profile until it's a-okay.
+Powers Eeeh those are easy fix by throwing in limitations, but i DO like for people to show in their history...where the learned their 'abilities'. I just aaaabsolutely love it where people know magic....without any reference of magick throughout their lives.
Hell I'm even like that with updates. People find 'updates' the time to give their charries more powers, and some have done O.o nothing to get it IC. Some make good excuses like 'they practiced so much until it upgraded'.
[personally >> I have Kairi on a system if she does one ability x-amount of times..it upgrades. I think I even jotted that down in her journal. I did the same for Elaeus o3o he had formulas to open up new...powaaas which have to be gained IC. Daichi ...yeah he can gain more by absorbing >> others. Olette she learns new potions as she gain new materials, whiiich is supoooosed to happen through her Quest Hunts ]
+Personality o-o;; Some things are just contradictory, so you have to weed that off, and sometimes it's too small so you try to help the rper think the charrie's 'spectrums' by asking question:
how is he/she around family? public? how well do he or she works in a group? what are his/hers perferences? how does he/she react in hazard situations? [and those are just the generic ones...like usual -3- questions can breath more questions]
-- at times people put in...favorite color...favorite food O.o people...that's not personality. Sure some likes and dislikes that can show personality -3- but not little stuff like that unless you going to go all 'psychology' on it.
+ History When I've done them...there were always issues with them, and I bet...that's where majority of the process' gruntwork is focused on. That's why I always ask questions, but each will be unique with every profile. Not everyone will have the same issues to generically fix, so some shiz can be 'simplier' by having generic questions on the profile outline, but some just won't because of what people make.
- original concepts - Even glancing at current profiles, there's roadblocks trying to fix and navigate through people's creativity, and it's difficult to fix things without butchering someone's idea, which they are soo adament in keeping.
And unfortunately, some of those instances...can't be done quicker especially when you say 'do this' and people want to 'negoiate and bargain' to the point you want to scream 'take it or leave it'.
I remember constantly telling people: + explain where your character was during KH BBS - KH1 - KH2 + What was their family like? Where did they grow up? + do not use canons your history unless you have permission + explain why they do this...or do that. (it's quite vague, but it's differentiates from profile to profile, and sometimes people construct very weak motivations for their characters. O.o If it's THAT important...you should give it efficient thoughts for it can make sense.) + gummiships can only be made through the existence of gummiblocks, which occurs between BBS and KH1 (10 yrs). + if you're going to have your charrie on a canon world, RESEARCH THAT WORLD TO HAVE IT'S HISTORY DOWN PACK! (I don't know how many times I have to correct people timeline wise).
So chaa some things can be helped....and some...just need to go through the motions; it's pretty much inevitable. I can make a profile easily without much problems or needed tinkering because o-o I know what's sensible for this universe, how to make continuity, and how to be 'original' without overstepping boundaries...and that's truly not something that can be easily shown but learned.
With that gruntwork, giving people time to reply, you replying back, and have posts where you just discussing stuff rather than editting the profiles directly, heck yeah it can take a while.
@staff: -3- chaaa we need to: +insert the shennanigans about the FF canons + updating canon list (Dark XII have 6 open, and I dunno whether to open charries who been inactive for the Org. Alsoo chatter about what to do with Xemmy *wants to kick this plot in the arse* and Roxas)
The main thing, in the end, is the actual rp ability. It's one thing to make a very detailed profile, and while I think they are important to have as groundwork, it doesn't always translate into rp. As an actor, I always create a character profile for myself on a Word doc, but nobody sees it but me.
I would love to see maybe a process that includes:
A) The profile. The questions Ellie poses for the characters should be a part of the profile requirements.
It might say something like: Please answer the following questions:
What are your characters objectives? How does your character overcome his/her obstacles? What is your characters relationship with his/her family? Is your character educated? Etc. Whatever you think is important in a profile. Make a list of the questions you find yourself asking and make it an official part of the application.
I think this makes the process more controlled and more specific. It requires the applicant to think more constructively. Any specific rules regarding powers, etc. should be fully listed. An example should be provided.
B) The RP. I suggest a pre-written rp starter post that would prompt a strong or creative response from the rper.
Please respond to the following: The room was empty, except for the wizard Merlin who was patiently mixing a brew, "You're late." He said, "I expected you here, two and a half minutes ago."
This forces the rper to think creatively and roll with the punches.
C) The Edit. The staff member in charge of the profile asks for ONE edit and/or sample rp post, which the staff member will start. It should be specific to the character on hand as a challenge. For example, if the character is a loner, the starter might include something that plays on the character's insecurities.
If the edit does not meet requirements it does not pass. The rper may continue to work on the profile and get feedback, but the application must be re-submitted. The applicant must wait a week to resubmit. This forces the applicant to work on the profile and reduces the discussion. The rper may submit as many times as he/she wants.
These are my suggestions for you to take or leave, modify, tweak, ignore, or kick around the park ;P

@ Sir Rookles:
Vexen - Sure he logged in a few days ago, but he haven't posted anything since July. Yes he have a departure thread, -3- but would...we really put a charrie on hold...for months...on an 'indefinite' leave.
Luxord- Have a departure thread of loosing interest. Last post was on August 11th, but thus faaar last IC post seems to date back into July.
Eh, I say PM them. If they reply in a week or less, let them keep the characters but let them know that if they don't make an attempt to carry on IC, the characters will be up for grabs again. If they don't respond... well, they must not care much. They either log in, see it and don't care, or they don't log in, and are further inactive.
And yeah, an update on available Dark XII characters would be grand, so I can petition the Cbox and such for people looking to snag one.
