In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

All Canon Characters belong to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix and Disney.
Contestants will battle for a duration of twenty posts (ten each) for the first two rounds, thirty posts (fifteen each) for the Semi-finals and Championship. All will wield only a Struggle bat. Magical abilities will be suppressed while in the ring. Strength of both contestants will be slightly leveled.
After each match a panel of three judges will vote to decide the winner.
Judges not only look at the character's skill and damage taken, but also how the RPer depicts the battle. Members who block every hit and dodge every slash will score lower in a judge's eye, while those who take their character's limits into consideration and find creative alternatives to situations will score higher. General RP abilities are also taken into account.
More rules will be specified when the tournament begins.

F.A.Q
What makes the Struggle unique?
Without their regular strength, powers, and weapons, characters in the Struggle are more prone to do just that - struggle. The battles are also, in a way, timed.
Will orbs be implemented, like in the game?
Yes, but only IC. Technically, orbs are popping out of the participants like jelly beans. Feel free to roleplay as if each hit robs you of them. You may specify how strongly the hit affected your character, but you may NOT include the exact amount of orbs you've lost or won at any time.
Judges will not mention an orb count when they announce the winner.
Will the tournament affect my character's history?
The Struggle is a fun competition, and will not be counted on the WD timeline. It will not affect your character's history if you don't wish it to.
Can my character join?
Both canons and OCs are allowed. Characters participating in the Atlantis Expedition may still register for the Struggle. However, members of the Dark XII and Organization XIII are not permitted.
How can I get to Twilight Town?
Due to the fact that the tournament is excluded from WD's timeline, no transportation is necessary or provided. Your character can just show up, no matter where he/she is at the time. ;]

@ Sumdood - yes, it's a Struggle. Everything short of ripping eyes out will probably be acceptable, considering there's only so much you can do with a bat.
@ Akira - stab. . . with a Struggle bat? XD
