In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

( I hope you don't mind me putting it here, I don't want to look in the board where I would have put it ;_; )
Serah's Theme ~ Death wasn't as bad as everyone assumes it is, at least, not for Serah. She had spent the past three years frozen in a crystal sleep, in which she was forced to keep her mind alive, wishing for her loved ones to save her from this fate. Then losing Lightning, then Snow soon after. Serah then went on a huge adventure with Noel, defeated Caius, and as far as she knew, saved her world. All of the worrying and stress, and even hope that filled her mind was finally laid to rest and allowed her to finally, peacefully sleep. The last thing that she would remember, was the embrace of her sister, who Serah loved very much. ~
But all peace has to come to an end at some point. With Serah's luck, the goddess had given her life again. She would now set out on her new adventure... and hopefully her final one.
Serah stirred lightly as her body became more aware of itself. The pink haired girl soon opened her eyes, slowly, and looked at the dark ground beneath her head. Where am I? Serah asked herself. She pulled her body off of the ground to sit up. It was dark, where ever she was. She looked up and could see a line of stars between the buildings on either side of her. Well, I can't be on Hope's new Cocoon... then where...? She continued to think to herself. New Bodhum hadn't gotten anything close to this city-like yet.
Then things started to come back to her, piece by piece. Her memories of her own death... and Lightning. "Is this some sort of after life?" she asked herself quietly. Serah tried to bring herself to her feet, but her body made her stumble a bit. " Why would that... look like this place?" Serah's eyes were starting to adjust more, and she could see that this was some sort of alley way. she started to move forward a bit, letting her legs get used to walking, before she heard a faint voice. " Kupooo..." Serah stopped, and listened for it again. "Serah, Kupo~" the voice said again. Serah looked around, it sounded like... Mog? "Mog? is that you? where are you?" She called to him. The moogle's pink crystal started to faintly glow again as Serah called to him. Serah noticed the faint pink glow, and picked the moogle up in her arms, giving him a tight hug. "Mog! I'm so happy to see you! are you ok?" the girl asked "Serah, can't breath kupo!" the moogle yelped, his full amount of life returning to him as he attempted to wiggle out of her arms. This made Serah giggle. "Sorry Mog. Do you know where we are?" she asked, letting the moggle now freely float by her shoulder as he liked to do. Mog floated around Serah, looking around the area, before staying still agian. "I have no idea, this place feels strange Kupo~" "It does feel rather strange... But it'll be ok." Serah said, positive and smiling, as always.
She started to walk forward again, navigating around loose boxes and other obstacles, before finally reaching a well-lit street. Serah looked up again, and the stars were in full view. "I don't understand... there is no where I can think of that could possibly look like this. Not even Valhalla was this dark and gloomy looking." " I don't think we are anywhere we know Kupo. But I lot of time could have passed Serah." "Right..." Serah looked down at the ground. She had no idea was time period this was. This could be even more years in her future then she was already going to be living in. " Is anyone else here mog? I mean like..." "Sorry Serah... I can't find anyone Kupo. No Noel" " Alright, well, lets try and find someone to figure things out. We found everyone before, who says we can't do it again?" Serah said and started to walk down the street. She had a weird feeling. She still wanted to know why she was even alive right now, but that would have to wait. Her list of lost friends just seemed to grow and grow, and she intended to find them all, and keep them this time.
Once Serah managed to find her way to what looked like the central area of this city, she sat down by a wall, near the main stairs to rest. This seemed like a good spot to find someone to help. Mog flew over and sat on Serah's lap happily, then waited too.
The tailed genome sat in what others might consider to be an unlikely spot. His elevation was considerably higher than those on the base level flooring. Hunkered down on the rooftops of Traverse Town, the thief scanned through the throngs of people below him, tail hanging off the edge of the edifice. He exhaled a sigh as he watched people move about in a hurried manner, thoughts clouding his normally laidback mind.
This snow filled world...was just a garbage dump.
A dump for those unfortunate enough to lose thier world, a dump for those who are practically homeless, and yet...it was also a haven for some. Gaia was one of many worlds that succumbed to these heartless, as Sora put it. The blonde couldn't help but shake his head. Was his world and his friends really gone, just like that? Something was wrong here...and something told him that all the answers he needed all exist in this very town.
Standing to his feet, the male decided to go hit the bar, a drink or something was what he needed right now. With one last look of the crowd below, he began running on the tiled rooftop - when out of the blue, he brought himself to a stop, again redirecting his attention to the central square. There, alongside the stairs was a very visually appealing lady. Despite noting that floating creature beside her, the thief couldn't help but look at her for a few extra seconds...when realization brought forth three things into his mind, which resulted with the corner of his mouth etching into a grin. One: She was cute. Two: She was cute. Not as cute as Dagger, though. Three: Her unique brand of clothes gave way to the fact that she was from another world...just like himself. With that, his mind was set.
He walked up to the edge of the building, and jumped.
His descent was remarkably fast as the pull of gravity dragged him towards the ground as fast as possible, but this teen had other plans. Gloved hands reached out and grabbed one the nearest wires, instantly feeling cold snow through his palms and almost as fast he grabbed said wire, he leaped and latched onto an adjacent wire. Beady dots of water barely graced the bandits forehead, all of this was nothing to him, but to those who watched, elicitng gasps of shock, this was crazy and stupid. Of course, they wouldn't know this blonde liked making an entrance.
Repeating this swinging process several times, he stopped once he was over the girl's head. By now she probably saw him, what with the crowd of people shouting obscenities and others egging him on in the process. Still, the blonde wasn't paying attention to any of this as his tail curled tightly against the wire. Using this safety line, the flexible male lowered himself until he was within the girl's line of sight. With both hands stretched out he waved to her, bouncing side to side with the sway of the wind.
"Hey! You new here?" He asked, still suspended in midair as he smiled cheerfully, hoping that she enjoyed his little show. If he was right, she was lost and definetely needed to get into the loop of things. Maybe he could keep her company, though admittedly, part of that was wishful thinking.

( lolol Zidane x Serah. OTP XD )
Serah had become lost in thought after sitting in the same place for only a few moments. Her mind was filling with unanswerable questions again. She wished that there was a way to get these questions answered… but there was a slim chance. Its not like anyone would just pop out of the sky and hand her a bow, asking if she could fight. No, unfortunately not this time. Serah sighed. She hadn’t been awake long, and she was already starting to miss her companion. Noel was just so good at answering her questions. Serah was quickly snapped out of her thoughts however. “Kupo Kupo Kupo Kupo!” The Moogle yelled, his pink crystal glowing brighter. ” What is it Mog?” She asked, letting the already wiggling Moogle out of her arms. Mog flew up to glance up the wall. He had heard the people around the area, and he knew that Serah wanted to talk to someone. What he had not expected was to see the strange boy swinging along the lines. Serah stood up in attempt to see what Mog was freaking out about without word, but things happened rather quickly. The blond male who was swinging amongst the lines was suddenly addressing her. Serah looked at him with a, confused, if anything else expression. First of all, it was the way he had approached her. Serah hadn’t seen much of his swinging about, so to her it was just as Noel had seemed to approach her… out of no where. Serah slightly smiled at this though. So, is this my new friend? She thought. She examined him for a moment. To Serah, this boy as rather strangely dressed, but what confused her most was the tail… was he even human? Mog had flown back, close to Serah’s side. He watched the blond boy to make sure there was no hostility, and no need to create Serah’s sword. “I am new here actually” She said with a slight smile. This probably should have surprised, or scared her more than it did, but these kinds of random events seemed so natural now. “If you don’t mind me asking… Where is here exactly? And who are you?” Serah wanted to ask for more questions then just that, but she didn’t want to scare this odd boy away.
Zidane merely grinned at the other, moving his hand to flick off some snow that was about to infiltrate his eyes. It was as he thought...she was new. While still swinging on the wire like a pendulum, he also surveyed that moogle that was near her, the smile never leaving his face. Sure, the thing was being protective by the looks of it, his jewel brightening with a sense of alert, but the blonde knew there was no danger to be had!
Loosing his tail's grip on the wire, he flipped in midair to land evenly on the ground despite the slippery effects from the snow. The blonde took his hand and gestured to the surrounding area, his palm extended outward. "They call this place Traverse Town or something...I'm kinda new here too, but at least there's some nice looking girls here!" Turning his palm to face the other he approached further so that she could shake his hand if she wanted. "Name's Zidane. I'm trying to get back to my world, but I dunno how to get outta this dump!"
The blonde sighed and fell back into the snow before arching his upper body up into a classic sitting position. The slush took the opportunity to seep deep into his clothes but right now, he couldn't care less about it. He just wanted to get back to Gaia, save his world, and bug Sir Rustalot some more. His thoughts couldn't help but drift back into the way things were before the male wound up here...his eyes closed as he waded through the past, his memories filled with the tragedy of what was happening on Gaia. If his world suffered like that, he could only imagine what everyone had to go through to get here. The random luxury portal he had was safe and fortunate, but what about everyone else...?
His moment of thougtfullness ended almost as quickly as it came though, suddenly remembering that this cute girl (and moogle) was right in front of him. In a split second he brought himself to his feet, blue hues settling themselves on the pinkette. Bringing his arms skyward he folded both of his hand togethers, giving his limbs a much needed stretch. "Tell me who you are. I'd never forget the name of a cutie like yourself," he said, his tail swinging jubilantly across the ground.

It had not been long since Kuja had awakened, his body covered in snow, his breathing ragged, his chest aching. He had seen enough to get the gist of where he was - or, rather, where he was not. The very feel of Gaia was missing, as was the innate magic in the air. The magic here felt very... different. A mixing bowl of feelings, as it were - too many sources to pin down, all different.
This accursed snow, however, reeked of an unnatural source - and it was very much not to his taste. Kuja was a man of temperate weather; true, he'd once seen fit to eke out a living underneath a desert, but he'd kept it fairly cool down there (sweat is unbecoming, after all, not to mention all that humidity made his hair stick to his face and the back of his neck). The warmth of Treno was countered by cool air rolling off the river, providing the perfect climate for him. And of course, he'd had access to the river, unlike the peasants lurking in the slums.
In all honesty, he had not minded Burmecia very much either. It was aesthetically pleasing - what with the washed-out blues and grays and the bodies of his enemies - but the rain - oh, the rain. He was fond of rain, he had to admit (though he wasn't a fan of standing out in it too long). But rain's ill-fated cousin - snow - did not have quite the same affect. He didn't mind watching it fall, nor did he mind examining the flakes - each one was unique, after all, which was something that interested him for some reason. But traveling through frigid temperatures with the icy cotton balls spreading like dandruff around one's person? He'd rather not, thank you very much. Esto Gaza had been bad enough; at least there was a volcano at the end of the journey.
But his mind was wandering, as minds are prone to do when fatigued and under copious amounts of stress. Best to focus on the situation at han- ohwhathavewehere?
Voices washed over him - as they do when one is in a crowd - but Kuja distinctly heard it. A name. A name he was all too familiar with. The other words of the conversation blurred in and out of his hearing, but that name. No... it couldn't be... the odds were simply preposterous.
"Name's Zidane. ...trying...world, but... out of... dump!"
Well. Well, well, well.
The corner of Kuja's mouth twisted ever so slightly upwards.
He walked - not bothering to rush, calmly as you please - towards where he'd heard the sound. Tired bones not quite forgotten, he allowed the discontentment to float to the back of his mind, preferring to hold his chin high and have his posture squared. (Nothing put off a good first impression like distasteful slouched shoulders.) True, his pretty skin had taken on an almost sickly look, but it was not readily noticed unless one was very close and peering directly at it.
And then, he saw them. A girl - pink hair, rather revealing clothes (though he could hardly argue), with an odd-looking Moogle floating about beside her (perhaps a sub-breed of Moogle?). But him - the dirty blond hair, the tail... it was no other. Certainly not.
Kuja paused a few feet behind, his arms folded lazily, looking for all the world as if nothing could ever bother him. He caught the tail end - oops, pardon the pun - of the conversation, waiting patiently.
"Tell me who you are. I'd never forget the name of a cutie like yourself."
"Why, Zidane!" Kuja's lofty voice sounded above the crowd - high, dramatic, with a touch of mocking. "Still as lecherous as ever, I can see. Oh, but what would our dearest Queen say...?"
It wasn't often that Kuja got to make an entrance, but oh, how he loved them.

Traverse Town… I’ve never even heard of that… Serah thought. This couldn’t be good. If there was this large of a new town out there, then who knows what year it was. Serah wanted to ask this of the boy as well, but she felt that to be a rather ridiculous question for a stranger to ask. Serah slightly laughed at the boys remark about the girls.
“Your… world?” Serah asked questioning. She had never known there to be more than one, or at least more than Cocoon and Pulse. How can there be more than one world? Surely if there was, Hope would have discovered this before trying to re-levitate Cocoon… Serah’s mind raced at the possibilities, and confusion of this. Serah noticed as well that the blond seemed to be lost in his own thoughts. Serah looked at Mog, who looked about as confused as she did, but heard the boy speak again. Serah blushed slightly at his comment. She wasn’t really used to much flattery, that is, aside from Snow. “My names Serah, Serah Farron.” She smiled. “Oh, and This is Mog, although, don’t be offended if he doesn’t say much. He’s not one to speak to others much.” She said, mostly teasing the Moogle. Mog let out a slightly angered “Kupoooo” before his crystal pulsed brighter sensing the other person in the area. This alerted Serah as well as the man started to speak. Serah was a little shocked, hearing the man speak directly to Zidane. Serah looked him over and slightly smiled. He was dressed rather ridiculously, at least for a guy. She couldn’t imagine any male from her home to dress so revealingly, not even in New Bohdum. But there was something else about him that spooked her slightly. Serah pulled Mog by his small arm close to her to whisper to him. “He reminds me of Caius a bit… I get the same kind of Chaotic nature from him.” she said and held the moogle close. “I do too, Best to watch out Kupo.” Serah sighed. I wish Noel were here… she thought. The thought of Caius made her think of her companion again. Maybe he would have known something about this. I can’t focus on that though. I’ll find everyone again… eventually.
“Who are you?” Serah decided to ask this new arrival. She figured that I he knew Zidane, he wouldn’t feel the need to introduce himself. She did however feel a little nervous asking him this. She almost didn’t want to say anything, and not get involved… but she was too curious.
"Nice to meet you, cutie..and moogle," came the friendly tone from the genome. He lowered his arms, wrapping one around his chest while rotating his other arm in clockwise motions - the need to keep himself moving in this cold weather was apparent, else the blonde would be subject to his limbs locking up at the most unfortunate of times. It was clear that she didn't know of the basic prospect of worlds, and while Zidane knew he could clear some of her confusion, he barely had a grasp on it himself.
An egotistical tone of voice broke through the crowded area and Zidane's tail perked up instantly in shock as recognition took over. Surprise covered his feautures for barely a second before reverting to his ever casual smirk, turning to face the newcomer. "Eh, Dagger won't mind, but I wonder what she'd say about a loser who couldn't even pick up a single chick. Speaking of, you know where anyone else is?"
So Kuja's here, too...and if motormouth's here, then everyone else has gotta be around..
While Zidane was slightly disappointed to run into the narcissistic Kuja first and foremost before Dagger, the evident sign of life from his world had rekindled his hope and strengthened his confidence, bringing forth a richer smile as he returned his gaze to the pinkette and her partner, who was likely even more confused with this sudden arrival. "That's Kuja," he said, asnwering her question before even allowing the other genome a chance to speak. "Likes to talk about absolutely nothing, and wishes he was half the person I am," he said, thumping his chest with pride.
After a moment of silence the teen breathed out a sigh, not even sure how to begin answering her previously brought up question. Her question, while so short, encompassed so many other questions that the blonde was only beggining to figure out. "This place, Traverse Town is like a world...my world, Gaia was kinda swallowed up by these black things that showed up all of a sudden. The same...the same prolly happened to your world, too," he said, his now downcast gaze finding sudden interest with the snowy floor beneath their feet. He didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, but it had to be said - had to be said first and foremost.
The sight of Zidane's surprise was nothing short of pleasing to Kuja - though his triumph was rather marred at the fact that the shock hadn't lasted longer than a moment. The pretty, pristine pinkette conversed with her companion, and her innocent face was full of badly disguised suspicion. A fleeting smirk crossed his face before it was replaced by a more relaxed half-smile; it was nice to know that people still had an idea of whom they were dealing with, even if they didn't know him.
... But apparently, the infuriating monkey still had to learn that lesson.
The little pink mouse - for Kuja, full of his metaphors, had begun internally referring to the pinkette as such - saw fit to ask him a reasonable question, and one he'd been on the verge of answering in his usual eloquence - until Zidane oh-so-rudely did it for him with all the subtlety of a blunt knife. And he'd managed to weasel a few of his choice "insults" (if the blubbering of a mindless boy could be considered so witty) into his hardly-prose. He wondered how Serah had tolerated such prattle for the few moments before someone with sense had come along... but then, he wondered (ever the internal judge) at her gall, and surmised that any squeak of protest would be silenced by her own wiles.
"Zidane, the greater minds do not desire such mundane activities as 'picking up chicks.' " Kuja's voice - while not as loud and boastful as before - had all the high-pitched mocking that it never seemed to have lost, even with a humbler life he'd acquired in the last year. "Certainly isn't that rather degrading to our lovely Serah as well? Implying that she is nothing but an object to be plucked up at a moment's notice simply by smooth words with empty meaning. My apologies, my lady" - and at this he stepped towards the girl elegantly, reaching out as if to take her hand and somehow looking quite sincere and non-threatening - "at this rapscallion's thoughtlessness. Some of us do have intelligence." He offered her a short, thin-lipped smile.
He did not bother to answer Zidane's question of if there were more of them from Gaia lurking about; best to keep the boy wondering, perhaps as a means of leverage to get any of his own questions answered. Let him think that Kuja knew something... that angle of thought could be played to his advantage. And, if it came to nothing anyways, at least Kuja would tell him the truth, in the end. There was no harm with subtle manipulation, especially when something could be gained.
Rather, he listened to Zidane's explanation of the worlds and whatnot with the air of idle apathy - but he was listening intently all the same. Still, not much could be said for the simpleton's knowledge... or rather, lack thereof. A pity. Perhaps he truly knew nothing after all.

Serah was a little surprised when Zidane "introduced" ( more so insulted) the newcomer before he himself could answer her question. Serah slightly laughed at his confident remarks about himself being a better person then this strange man named Kuja. Zidane reminded her a bit of Snow in a way. Saying things like that sounded almost exactly like him.
Serah was a bit surprised, and honestly a bit scared when Kuja walked towards her.She still had no idea as to if he was dangerous or not. For all she knew, she could have just had this feeling for no reason... but that was almost never the case. Mog flew closer to Serah's hand rather than her shoulder in case he was needed in a moments notice. Kuja's words however, had already distracted her mind. "Certainly isn't that rather degrading to our lovely Serah as well? Implying that she is nothing but an object to be plucked up at a moment's notice simply by smooth words with empty meaning..." It had been a long time since anyone's words had hit her that badly.... because they where true. As much as Serah would love to say that they weren't the truth, they were when it came to her on own love life. Her Fiance could legitimately just walk up to her at any moment, grabbing her by the hand and pull her off in any random direction, for who knows what reason. Serah sighed. This really wasn't the time to be thinking about her own life choices though. Kuja was just commenting on Zidanes "harmless" flirting, that she was all to aware of.
Serah looked at Kuja's expression, he seemed as if he wasn't going to harm her. If anything, it seemed that all this man was after was to provoke Zidane. She returned Kuja's smile with one of her own, she then glanced at Zidane as he started to answer her earlier question. Serah couldn't Imagine that these "little black things" taking over her world. Noel and her sister and Hope, they could probably defeat anything if they all put their minds to it.... They would never let something like that happen.... unless. Maybe everything that these people spoke of she was unfamiliar with, because in her time, or even the time she had died in, the other worlds truly hadn't been discovered yet... "So... this might sound like a ridiculous question... But what year is it?" Serah asked, crossing her arms over her chest. She was fully aware of how crazy that must make her sound, but she really needed to know if any of this where to make sense. "Serah, Kupo. I don't think that will help very much, They may not use the AF system Kupo~" Mog chimmed in, mainly to her. Serah sighed. She hadn't really thought about how the time measurements could be different. "Right... but still." She looked back and forth between Zidane and Kuja. " It could still be of some use..."
The blonde perked his head up at the sound of his feminine framed brother, his typical egotistical tone as royal as ever. His remark only reinforced that and Zidane could only grin at the other. "And what makes your mind so great? Just 'cause you're older doesn't mean you're any better!"
Kuja was just as pretentious as ever.
Zidane stood and watched as the hypocritical genome kiss Serah's hand in typical nobleman fashion, prompting him to bend over and comically regurgitate in the background at the creepy sight, likely garnering the laughs of passerby’s. It wasn't long before Kuja’s question actually registered itself within him and in an instant he straightened his body and retorted, "She knows she's not an object! 'Sides, I can't help but think you have a thing for her. Maybe you should you know, recite a poem for her," he said with that snarky grin on his face. The pinkette was still, notably, all smiles despite hearing that her world was taken by the heartless which only prompted the male to arch a brow in her direction, even as her quizzical question left her lips.
"Does it matter what year it is? Unless you’re a time traveler or something,” he said, his tone sardonic. “I mean, we're all stuck here with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We gotta find out more…" There were so many unknowns dwelling in his mind, it made his head want to spin. The people of Traverse Town appeared to be hardly caring of the trio as they went about their business, trudging through the snow barren lands without the mildest of cares in the world. Serah’s curiosity about the year was pretty odd to say the least, and Kuja’s casual disposition appeared to be completely unperturbed despite realizing Gaia’s current predicament.
Something was up.
The bandit turned to Garland’s first creation, looking him dead in his matching hues as he parted his mouth to speak. "Kuja, you know anything about this place? Like who runs it or something?" The male only stood and awaited his answer, intuiting that Kuja knew something about this place...that way he could plan accordingly. Any advantage was better than nothing. This was the start of a new adventure and while the blonde would have preferred kicking it back on his home world, he had to make the best of things based on how they stand, even if it meant dealing with his noblehead of a brother. On the flipside, a cutie was in trouble, and Zidane be damned if he was actually going to simply leave her in distress.
Ugh. He'd forgotten the sort of primal existence he'd need to adapt to in order to even communicate with his unfortunate brother. He knew his mind was far superior to the self-righteous simpleton's, and he didn't need to prove it; it was fairly obvious from just looking at the two of them of which one was more refined.
"A thing," Kuja repeated in a monotone. He arched a delicate eyebrow at Zidane, turning away from the mouse of a pinkette in order to properly admonish his less-than-eloquent companion. "Zidane, you are positively primeval." For a moment, Kuja seemed puffed-up, as though he were an irate peacock flaunting its feathers. "I was extending the hand of courtesy to the young lady, and showing her some respect..." He paused to eye the younger Genome in distaste. "... but as you are utterly lacking in tact, I can't expect you to understand."
He glanced at Serah with a half-smile on his face - one that showed that he did have a heart after all, and he could sense her suspicions. "I won't hurt you," he said quietly, his keen observant eye seeing what Zidane could not: That despite her perky demeanor, she was tense. And the words were a truth... though the smile did not quite touch the violet-blue chips of ice that were his eyes.
Ahh, at last. Zidane was beginning to question him, and perhaps Kuja might actually learn something. He looked at the younger squarely, something flitting about his face that could be a smirk. The ruse had worked; Zidane thought he knew something.
Well, from the questions, Zidane knew about as much that the elegant man had thought he did, and far less than he had hoped. No doubt Kuja's calm had thrown the boy off - for, even in the midst of winter in an unknown land, Kuja was impeccably serene. Rarely was he surprised, and if he was, he would not act in a surprised manner; it was all for the better to wear a mask of knowing than succumb to lack of knowledge.
While he might not be able to answer the questions in complete truth, he did have a few theories - and it was a rare occurrence when a theory of his was incorrect. He did possess a startling intellect, if he did say so himself.
With an infuriating laziness, Kuja took his time with a response. "I believe," he said with the air of musing aloud, "that we are in the strangest sorts of happenings, one that is unprecedented on Gaia..." He paused to take in his surroundings, including the strangeness of the snow - which his intuition told him was not right. "... but, perhaps, has happened before."
He tasted the magic in the very air, and the chill soaked into his already frail bones; for a moment, he looked weak, old beyond his years, his hair limp and his skin skeletal. With absolute certainty, he announced, "Someone is changing the weather."
A shiver racked his weakened limbs, and he fought the urge to wrap his arms around himself to keep in some of his body heat, choosing to continue assuming a calm posture of asserted dominance, despite his debilitated state. With a hint of impatience, his voice took a rather tart turn as he suggested, "Perhaps we ought to get out of the cold, hm?"
His thoughts told a different story from his outward nonchalance: What sort of idiots insist on holding a conversation in the middle of freezing weather?

( man, now I have to rechannle the muse from this thread XD Serahs all Hope Sorry for the short post >.< )
Serah was not liking this whole situation of the two boys “fighting” over her. It had been rather funny at first, since if anything it had been a long time since anyone tried to flirt with her, but this was too much. Serah rolled her eyes at Zidane’s comment about Kuja reciting a poem. She nodded at Kuja when he said that he wouldn’t hurt her. What reason did she have to believe him? None but what reason was there to not?
Then things got a little more awkward, but in a completely different way. "Does it matter what year it is? Unless you’re a time traveler or something,” Was Zidanes response to her question. What was she supposed to say? “Umm… well, something like that.” Serah responded. She wasn’t sure if she should tell them about it. What dangers where there if she were to tell the she had in fact traveled through time? Who knows…. It wasn’t like she anymore anyways not without the gates… or Noel. “It is important to me though…” Serah aid quieter, Zidane seemed to have moved on to talking to Kuja again.
She crossed her arms and waited for them to finish talking. She had no idea about these twos past, and honestly it seemed like it would be a bother to ask, especially considering they'd probably just mock each other.
Unlike Kuja, Serah already had her hands on her own bare arms, trying to warm herself up. Her clothes were no where near being snow wear… her sides where even exposed for Etro’s sake.
Serah was slightly shivering when Kuja brought up going somewhere. “I agree with getting out of the cold…” She smiled at them, but didn’t change her position at all. “I don’t think me or Kuja are dressed to be outside in the snow.” She said with a playful tone. Serah waited for one of them to move however, she didn’t know her way around at all.
The genome tapped his foot against the slushy ground in thought of Kuja's words, despite him taking forever and a day to get the point across. He was as long winded as ever, and the blonde should have expected as much. While the magic oriented narcissist had issues and was beyond grating, when it came down to it, he knew he could trust his brother. After all, he had changed from those manipulative ways years ago, saved his life—saved Dagger’s life, and this bandit would be forever grateful of that. Even if he is a magnificent bastard at times.
“So, someone, or something’s making this snow,” he said, blue hues directing themselves to the sky above, snowflakes twirling through the darkened skies above, only to come down, landing on the bustling streets of Traverse. Zidane shook his head in obvious distaste. “What’s the point of making it snow like this? In fact, who the hell’s controlling this crap anyway?” None of this made sense. Did someone have a sick fetish with cold weather? Was someone getting a kick out of watching people freeze to death? It was only after leveling his gaze to look at poor Serah, freezing in this climate, did he figure out what he had to do.
Find out who’s causing this, kick their ass, and change things.
A single blurted question brought the tailed bandit out of his reckless reverie, and it was at this that he turned to face the elder genome, who, albeit slightly, appeared to also be affected by the weather. His silly regal appearance only betrayed his lack of toleration for the cold, which was understandable, considering his choice of outfit and over extravagant desert palace of his. “Alright guys, let’s get outta here. Now let’s see…where can we go…” He glanced around the area, turning in every direction possible, in an attempt to scout out a good building, a good place for them to catch some R and R, a good place to mash out some kind of game plan. A large neon sign stuck out sorely to the genome, beckoning him to read what it entailed. Much to the blonde’s luck, it translated itself into a simple three letters. “Inn.”
A sigh of relief left the blonde, before he gathered both Serah’s and Kuja’s attention. “There’s an inn straight across from us…we gotta cross the crowd though…Kuja, Serah, when we get in, and get a few rooms, you mind if I talked to you both about something?” A light tilt of the head accompanied the genome, as he once again waited for their answer. He knew that Kuja couldn’t give such a stupidly long answer to this particular question. Not with the cold barring him in some form or fashion, and certainly not with the pinkette also suffering. Even if they didn’t exactly get along, the blonde knew that despite his brother’s noble like attitude, despite Serah’s underlying concern and emotion, which had to be concealed by her smiling, they were a team. All for one and one for all.

The cold was really getting to him - not that he would admit it, of course; the admittance of his flaws was beneath his dignity, thank you. Still. Dignity or not, it was cold, and horrifically so - especially for one of not-so-good physical condition. He resisted firmly all attempts from his body to succumb to a visual representation of the discomfort of the icy grip he found himself trapped in... but every moment made it harder and harder to focus.
Kuja watched the two of them with clear eyes, but words were slipping by him, caught and fluttering away in the chilly breeze that danced like tiny needles across his bare skin. Serah's question of the current year was intriguing to him - that suggested fluidity of time, or uncertainty, or something else that would otherwise dictate her worries about such a thing... after all, his first thought hadn't been what year was it when he arrived in this wintry not-so-wonderland. So, he concluded that time was something that was greatly on her mind. Either she was a mite punctual - which wouldn't correlate readily with the "year" question - or she had dabbled in realms that he'd only seen in passing, when traveling in a heated, be-Tranced frenzy through Memoria.
Or, in layman's terms, time travel.
Hmm. He seemed to have roped himself an interesting companion.
Mentally, he corrected her horrendous grammar - 'I don't think me or Kuja,' oh please. If you're going to complain about something, do it right. 'I don't think neither Kuja nor I.' - but found himself lacking in the energies to formulate his response aloud. That was strange; he prided himself in his vast intellect and in boasting about it in whatever situation caught his fancy... but this accursed weather was robbing his weakened body of its energy reserves... and... he frowned, struggling to recall... hadn't he used Trance when the little beasties showed up and laid siege? Goodness, if that was the case, how in Gaia's name was he still on his feet?
His traitorous body swayed slightly in place, and he pulled his thin, painted lips into a tight, disapproving frown. In his moment of weakness, he did not take in Zidane's questions about the artificially-recreated weather; he heard them, but found himself unable to respond, or even come up with an appropriate answer!
He did hear about the Inn, however, and took no trouble in hurriedly discerning its location. Would they have adequate funds to pay for a room? Oh, no matter; the blasted freezing weather was addling his brain and numbing his wasted body, and he could but think of one solution: to get out of it.
Kuja nodded curtly at Zidane; he didn't mind the looming threat of discussion (he did like talking about himself), so long as he'd get to his promised room. Haughty, he strutted through the crowd, carving a pathway through people that stopped, staggered, and stared after the picture of beauty and elegance and confidence... as well as arrogance.
He may have looked a bit out of place in this setting, but he was aesthetically pleasing, and he knew it. Reaching the Inn, he held the door open for the pink lady mouse, the very image of genteel and chivalrous. Playful flirting was not his "thing," so to speak; this was merely courteous, and if Serah mistook it for the attempts of wooing than she was sadly mistaken. He had no time for sexual appetites, nor for the antics that Zidane so loved to carry out - but he had every desire to uphold good appearances.

(I apologize for going off to lala land with Serah and Mog XD I didn't have much to respond to, so I just made things happen that could be interesting in the future XD)
Mog was now hovering round close to Serah, noticing that she was getting a lot colder then she had been previously. He let out a small worried “Kupo” and attempted to warm her up by staying quite close to her. The group started to walk on towards the in, but she still felt the need to answer Zidane’s question. “Its fine with me Zidane…. I have a few questions I’d like to ask you both myself.” She said. The time period wasn’t her only concern, and since, apparently neither of them were going to answer that, maybe there was still hope…. Maybe she hadn’t been dead that long. She took a deep breath, trying to believe as much as she could that that was the case. She’d find everyone eventually…. This was only the beginning. As Lightning told her, she needed to keep hope alive.
“This world reminds me of Bresha Ruins -300 AF- Kupo~” Mog said to Serah, recalling the last time that she had to go running about in the snow. Serah smiled at her little Moogle companion. “You’re right Mog, it is a lot like Bresha, it’s just as cold…” She commented. She didn’t remember having quite as much of an issue with it then though… why was that? “I may still be able to conjure up your clothes, not that I’ve tried, Kupo.” That was right. Noel had made her get warmer clothes so she wouldn’t freeze to death. Serah smiled at the thought, but soon they had reached the inn, and her sort of mindless conversation with Mog, and little day dream had to end. Serah smiled at Kuja, who held open the door for her. “Thank you” she said to him and walked inside.
It was a lot warmer in there, at least in comparison to the outside world. Serah however was still shivering, since she was basically covered in the snow that had been falling from the sky. Mog still hovered close to her. “Serah want me to try, Kupo? You’re all wet...” Serah looked around the area, it didn’t seem like there was too many people around looking at her. As for Zidane and Kuja, she didn’t particularly care that much, considering if they were going to stick around, stranger things would probably happen to her. Serah nodded. “It would be nice…” she smiled at mog. He held up his little time staff, and spun around, crystal growing brighter. Serah’s body began to glow a goldy-yellow color momentarily. Her clothes then shifted to her White Mage outfit. This was a lot more suited for the current weather, although, still not entirely the best option ever. “Thank you Mog” She said and held the Moogle in her arms for a hug. She looked to the two others to see what they were doing, this hadn’t taken long at all, a mer minute or so, but Serah had not been paying attention non the less.
