In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

(No sweat, Serah. You see who here’s going on about themself all the time )
This world was a bitter wasteland.
The thought nearly made this thief bitter himself.
Zidane maintained his expectant look upon on the others, and only a short time elapsed before he received a simple nod from his elder brother, which the blonde gladly welcomed, because for once, Kuja’s compliance was simple, no argument, no stupid “superior being” nonsense, just plain old Kuja. A nod back and the prim and proper genome was on his merry way, with that slutty walk that indeed turned the heads of others, with his throw-up worthy essence that only Kuja exhibited.
Next came the sexy dressed pinkette. After hearing her proposition, like Kuja, he only nodded in response, before she too, walked amongst the interspersing crowds towards their next destination, the cold airs reflecting itself on her gait – her notably sexy gait that is, which of course claimed the genomes attention before it was lost in the sea of people…leaving yours truly outside by his lonesome.
Zidane stayed in his tentative position despite the nippy weather that was artificially casted about on the world. His tail swung steady hemicycles, occasionally whipping people due it its length along with the variation of people, which collected glares and colorful vocabulary that dare not be repeated. No one would have noticed the vibrant blue in his eyes losing its luster, his distant expression and sudden stillness that took over his thin frame. It had never occurred to him before, but these people….someone should know that something was wrong with the weather, yet here everyone was, walking around, just enduring this weather, like it was just another snowy day in Traverse Town.
The realization hit Zidane like a ton of bricks: whoever had the ability to alter the weather like this was damn powerful.
And that, of course, settled the genomes plans, bringing him out of his stupor as he took in the winter wonderland once more, recalling that everyone was already inside the nearby inn. The blonde slowly took to the predetermined destination, taking in the last bit of the crisp air, shimmying through the many passerby’s before grabbing a bronze knob, opening the attached door and greeting the otherworldly genome was a fresh blast of heat.
The inn itself looked more on the rundown side, with its weathered walls and wooden tables and chairs scattered around. Still, Zidane wasn’t complaining about that very welcoming fireplace positioned directly in the middle of the establishment, granting a source of heat that did well to elevate the temperature here. Stepping inside whilst closing the door behind him, he took in the sight of a cute lady, with her cute stockings, cute dress, and pink hai—pink hair? His face shifted in a double take of the cutie, suddenly realizing there was a very familiar yet overprotective moogle in her arms. He checked her out in approving manner before waltzing over to Serah, mouth curving itself in a trademark grin. “Whoa, Check out Serah! Lookin' good! How’d you change so fast, huh?”
Optic peripherals spotted Kuja not too far away, though the thief didn’t bother with him, at least not yet. There was something else that demanded his attention, that being the wooden counter that was placed directly in front of the young male, with a stern looking woman at its head. Zidane knew about the issue with ‘munny’ here based on prior experiences, but Zidane be damned if he was just going to walk away from this, considering his friends needed a place to crash at. A welcoming smile was shot at the elder innkeeper, strolling over to the counter and leaned against it like he was a casual customer, much to the dissatisfaction of the woman. “Hey, old lady, you got a few rooms for my friends to crash in?” Clearly, this was going to take awhile.
After much haggling and practically shoving gil down the the throat of the old lady, Zidane strode over towards the cutie, spinning a few keys in the rotation of his index finger, chucking a single key up in air for the pinkette to catch. “Your room’s one C, next to mines,” he adding with a smirk. He then walked up to his brother, tossing him a key in the same fashion. “Two A’s yours, just up the stairs.” Finally, he announced to the entire ensemble, “Let’s meet up in Kuja’s room and talk up a game plan."
It was funny, considering the ‘plan’ was already single handedly cooked up within the ever planning mind of Zidane Tribal.

The cheery warmth of the inn was most welcoming. Cold and weakened, Kuja's silvery eyelashes fluttered shut and a delicate sigh escaped his lips as he soaked in the heat rolling off of the merrily dancing flames in waves; a moment of simplicity and instinctive reaction overtook him, and though he may classify it as "weakness," he had since learned to allow the feeling to take root, if only for a moment - it was not strength to deny oneself momentary pleasures. Also, he took the brief second to curse his attire; of all days, he'd chosen to wear his extravagant, eye-catching getup on the one where he'd be in more complex company than that of the sweet and sincere inhabitants of the Black Magic (and Genome) Village. He must acquire pants, and soon.
This moment passed in half a second, perhaps two; and then he was alert again, and still, and unreadable. He did not miss Serah's interesting change of wardrobe - which, after his most recent train of thought, intrigued him more than had he just had a passing glance, and stored away inquiries for a later date. He gave a rather unsightly wince as a gust of frigid air swept in through the comfortable warmth, and thus his eyes that landed on Zidane carried a rather sour expression. The little monkey's actions to the pretty mouse slanted Kuja's eyebrows so he appeared increasingly dour; until he sighed and shrugged it off, coming to the long-awaited conclusion that what petty trivialities Zidane indulged in were of no consequence to the better and elder brother.
He caught the lazily tossed key with ease, his pale limb flashing out to snatch it out of the air. Honestly, he'd surprised himself a bit with the handy dexterity... but failing to have caught it and stumbling over himself to pick it up again would have been far more disgraceful than any manner of action he planned to be a part of today. Hmph, it must have been something of the sort; have a subconscious idea of the alternative, there was nothing for him but to catch the key, lest he face the less-than-dignified consequences.
Oh, of course Serah and Zidane's rooms were next to one another; what with the time he had spent sweet talking the elderly woman behind the counter, Kuja could hardly suspect anything but. And why was it Zidane's decision for where the village meeting would take place? He'd rather like his room stay private, thank you very much. Despite the, erm, manageable presence of a familiar and familial face, he was quite glad to be rid of them, if only for a moment. Well, he did not complain; so long as they did not take a ridiculous amount of time formulating a "plan" of sorts (though, how could one even use such a word in this situation? "Plan" was hardly enough to describe the sort of map they'd need to etch out with their minds) he need not bring attention to the ill-advised decision. So it was with a lofty "Please, take all the time you need; no need to hasten on my account," did Kuja ascend the rickety old stairs with as much dignity and grace as he could muster - which, knowing him, was unsurprisingly quite a bit.
He entered his room, unaware - though not uncaring - of if the others were following him, or if they had gone to investigate their own domains for the night. It was, in all honesty, exactly what he expected for a room in such a place - so, meet nearly none of his expectations. Still, he was grateful he'd gotten accustomed to humbler livings, and thus was not unduly disappointed. A single bed with a mattress whose softness would leave much to be desired; a lurid, cheap pattern of sickening flowers on the comforter; a bedside table with a single drawer and a dusty old lamp; two wooden chairs that seemed to have just been dropped in the most random of places; and, most importantly, a window on the far wall of the room from where he was standing, its patterned curtains drawn - perhaps to keep out the chill or to respect the client's privacy. It could be quite cold in here, but thankfully the warmth from the fire had drifted upwards - as warm air tends to do - so, while it was several degrees cooler within the room itself, it was not, most likely, as cold as rooms downstairs were.
Kuja stepped smartly over the threshold and immediately made his way to the table, intent upon checking out the contents of the drawer (as there were very few other corners in this room to investigate). There were a few dusty formal papers that detailed various things about the room and the inn itself; a couple of stray writing utensils and fountain pens that had almost certainly dry inkwells; and... what is this?
Underneath the fairly meaningless junk - which Kuja spread aside in order to take a better look - was a simple yet thick black leather-bound book emblazoned with golden script for a title: Maria and Draco.
What a find, indeed. There were few things more that got the Genome's blood stirring than mysterious findings like this - findings that might include knowledge or stories (the latter of which he had grown particularly fond of). He blew a bit of dust off the cover and, burning with curiosity, flipping open the cover and paging through the yellowing paper - or was it parchment, bound in book form?
Well, it wasn't just a story - there was sheet music, and, if he was not mistaken, a script... why, he seemed to be peering at none other than the layout for an opera. And none he had ever heard of before, either, which was nearly outrageous, considering he'd dug up every play, musical, opera, or otherwise theatrical production that Gaia or even Terra had ever offered.
... But this was not Gaia, nor Terra. And, in his hand - despite the frustration of obviously missing pages - he could see numerous possibilities, which were altogether more intriguing than a simpleton and his object of flirtation's "plan."
Still, he ought not dwell on this now; they did have a discussion in need of taking place, whether or not Kuja would ultimately agree to the terms. He did not, however, relinquish the treasure he'd found - for who knew how long it had been abandoned there, and if, indeed, anyone would ever peer at it again?
He gracefully seated himself on the bed, gripping the still-dusty script. He would see, then, if his allies had followed him and had been waiting impatiently - watching him dither about, as it were, though if he were to tell the story it would be far from that - or if they were to intrude upon his presence now.

(ahhhh yes, Ren deus ex machina'd all over the place, oops. but I did want some way to introduce the whole "SECRET LIBRARY" plot that I told you both about - whether or not he's even thought of that yet. also FFVI reference hell yeah. Maria and Draco is the effing bomb. also also, I apologize for sheer length, and yet having little to interact to. I feel as though there really is not much for Kuja to do until the topic of "what the hell are we gonna do now guys" is opened - and he, being a prick, wasn't gonna start it himself. oh well, it's a reply.)

( Haha, went off on my own again, oops. There are just some plotty things that I needed her to kind of remember. She seemed to just kind of be in lala land in this thread, which is bad considering this is her intro thread XD )
It was only a few moments after Serah changed that Zidane decided to make a comment about her “new” clothes. She smiled at him, sort of sighing at how ridiculous this boy was. In all honesty, he still reminded her of Snow, which is probably why she didn't mind his rather obvious attempts at flirting that much. She did wonder how much his attitude would change if she just told him that she was engadged. On hold or not, Serah still wasn’t necessarily “on the market” as some people might say. “I can change Serah’s clothes for her by magic, Kupo!” Mog decided to answer Zidane’s question for Serah, since she seemed to have zoned out again. She nodded in agreement to what Mog answered, and after seeing Zidane walk off, it was if Serah’s mind just turned her away from reality. Serah had always been one to space out when nothing was happening, She had been known to be quite the day dreamer if she had nothing better to do that day… but this, this was different. The thought of Snow, lead her mind off, as if it was trying to process everything in association with that name. Her memories seemed to dart rather quickly through her head, not even just of Snow, but… everything. Her home, her journey with Noel, and lastly Lightning. She hadn’t given it much thought previously, considering she was rather concerned about where she was and why she was even alive… but she had seen her sister in Valhalla… right? Serah couldn’t tell if what she was remembering was just a dream that she had had…. or a vision. The thought of the second scared her. Am I really destined to be like Yuel? Mog was starting to think the exact same thing. He hadn’t really noticed the way that Serah had been acting was unusual, until she seemed to cross her arms and use one of her palms to hold her head. She closed her eyes tightly. This inner debate of whether or not she had actually seen Lightning starting to give her a headache. “Serah! Kupo! Kupo!” Mog called out to her, very concerned. His crystal seemed to flair up a bit. He didn’t want Serah to be having a vision. Not just because of how bad that was, but if she passed out he didn’t want to have to explain. “Serah, Kupo, snap out of it!” he said a little louder, and tapped her shoulder with his time staff. Serah then jumped slightly, and opened her eyes, looking at Mog. She looked rather confused, but her eye, thankfully, were normal. There wasn’t that awful gold symbol in them, she would be fine. “You ok, Kupo?” Mog asked. “Yeah… I’m fine Mog.” She sighed and nodded to him. “Don’t do that, Kupo! Serah isn't allowed to have visions…” Serah smiled slightly and mog, and patted his head. “I’ll try Mog. I don’t think that is what that was.” Serah looked up and noticed Zidane walking towards her. “I’ll have to explain later.” Serah’s composure changed again, she uncrossed her arms, and attempted to look as normal as possible. She was still rather shaken but she didn’t want to trouble Kuja or Zidane with her problems. They weren’t involved in the whole time mess anyways.
Serah nodded to what Zidane said about the room. She managed to catch the key, although she was not nearly as graceful as Kuja. She fumbled with it a bit, having to use both of her hands and almost dropping it. Serah giggled at how uncoordinated that catch was. Catching, or throwing things for that matter, wasn’t her strong point. Mog would know. “Thank you Zidane” She said, smiling in her normal, sweet fashion. She wondered off in the direction of where her room was, assuming Zidane would probably be close behind, Kuja had already left. “I’ll just be a minute, then we can go to Kuja’s room as you said~” She said. She really didn’t want to be left alone, at least not just after what had just happened when she was allowed to think of her own… she didn’t feel safe.
Serah walked into her room and glanced around. It was simple enough, not that she minded. “her and Lightning’s” which was really just her room, on New Bodhum, wasn't much more extravagant then this hotel room. Serah walked over to the bathroom, to look at herself in the mirror. She looked the same, which was a good thing. Serah decided to take her hair out of its ponytail for a moment, it was still rather wet from the snow that had landed on her head, and dry what she could off with a towel. She then used her fingers to brush out her longer strands of hair, and put them back up into her normal side ponytail. Mog was sticking very close by Serah now. “You sure you’re going to be ok? Kupo?” “Yes mog, I’m fine.” She said. “common, I don’t want either of those boys mad at me for being slow.” Serah walked back out, and locked her room, then stuck the room key on the hook of her belt, considering she didn't have any pockets. “Zidane?” She called out for since she didn't see him right off the bat.
