In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Flattery. Luxord was remembering what it felt to be flattered, how rosy his cheeks would get as a young boy. If only he could regain the ability to feel, regain his heart -- these were only dreams, for now. The first time around, Luxord's hope was met with serious shortcomings, and he was only disappointed by the outcome. He needed to wait until he would hope to obtain a heart once more. For now, the only thing he had was his memory. "That is quite kind of you, Yoru." he smiled for the man, his eyes falling on the dipping sun as he searched for an answer to give.
He really didn't know how he would get in touch with Yoru. He wasn't going to be given the pleasure of traveling with him, sadly. There were things to do other than search for the Organization, and as soon as those things presented themselves to Luxord, he would jump at them. But for now, he needed to wait.
"Sadly enough, I cannot. I have my own agenda to tend to, and I must do so alone. You can count on crossing me on your quest in the future, I can promise that." Strangely enough, Luxord was coming to regret saying a goodbye, even just for now.
"As for transportation," he flicked another wrist, sending the remaining cards into a fit. They moved quickly, spinning and growing rapidly. As each of them came out to about 3 feet in height, they rotated so that they were horizontal. Luxord waved his arm effortlessly. The cards obeyed his orders and made a path, which was even with the ledge. His path extended toward the sun, but only stretched about 10 yards. Again he raised his arm, this time summoning a dark hole at the end of the last one, which was the ace, containing Xemnas' face.
"Look familiar?" he cooed, turning away. His iciness was returning. "That'll lead you to your next world. Less resourceful travelers use Gummi Ships, I'd suggest you search for one after you arrive. This will be the last time you see one of those portals for a while, that I can also promise. Any more questions?" Luxord turned back toward Yoru, giving a soft grin.
"If you're ready to depart, that is. Take your time. Or don't go, if you wish to stay."
OOC: You can extend this thread if you want, or end it. I don't mind, its up to you. And as for that portal, it can lead to wherever you want~ xD I'll probably post as Luxord one more time after Yoru leaves to close up some mental threads and play out his own departure. Sorry that Luxord can't stay with him, its just not realistic to his character to stick around with Yoru. This whole thread was a lapse in self-confidence.
OOC: I already knew that he would not accompany Yoru, it is for the best. Seriously, Luxord appearance made the story I thought SO much interesting! That friendship between then based on some similarities will make him grow a lot! Thank you very much! PS: Durarara!! *-*
It did not surprise him when Luxord turned down his request. This man is complicated: he seems to hate loneliness, but he can't relate with anyone. It must be so much easier to stay alone. Yoru could do nothing about it but nod with a sad face. This step Luxord must walk alone and the only thing he can do is hope the man take the right path.
"So when we meet again prepare to reunite with at least one or two comrades! Hahahaha!"
Again he pretended to be foolish. He don't need to be a genius to understand that this Organization XIII is composed of strange and unpredictable guys just like Luxord.
When darkness appeared for the second time before his eyes that day he almost fell to the ground. It was a black portal, almost exactly the same as in the ground near his village. Why could his new friend create that darkness at will? More questions without answers and the man won't bother Luxord with them (he would answer strangely again!).
"Thank you, Luxord. When we meet again I will not bother you with silly questions. Farewell!"
And the man looked at the Organization XIII member, waiting for him to depart. Yoru knew what to do already, he just wanted to see how Luxord is going to leave. A decisive man who knows what to do or a doubtful man with nothing but fear for the future?
It wasn't for a few moments that Luxord mustered a few words to offer Yoru. It wasn't that he was growing tired of the conversation, but he needed to rip off the stitches. He tried convincing himself that this was time wasted -- Yoru was of no use to him. If that was going to help him sleep tonight, well then so be it. "Let us cross our fingers." he small grin accompanied his rather run down comment.
Before taking his first steps away, Luxord opened his mouth slightly. His eyebrows were clenched together. "Yoru, a bit of advice -- when you're playing the game, don't lose sight of the significance of your own hand. Play to your strengths." he chuckled.
"And your blinding compassion might just be the end of you one of these days." with that, Luxord began walking away. He skipped over the rest of Twilight Town, knowing that his search would conclude somewhere else. The Gambler raised his arm, opening a portal identical to the one he set up for Yoru.
"Doubtful man it is.", he chuckled to himself. The advice was typical from people that lack strong emotions. If Luxord had a real friend, love or even family, he would not say that. Yoru knows that sometimes it is wise to choose kindness over one's own life. The kindness can save a loved one life, and which is more important? Every father should know that.
"I think I'm getting old, hahaha!"
He laughs to himself. A child is waiting at his wife belly and he is going into a dangerous adventure risking his own life. "That is why I am coming back home alive and full of stories. I will change the rite. My son will have a decent and peaceful life.", he convinced himself. The fact that he just wanted to fulfill his curiosity remains, but one mind needs an honored motivation to not feel guilty. That is not filthy, that's how just human mind works.
"Then it is decided! First of all, I need some clothes!"
Than Yoru turned back and walked through the streets looking for a living soul to guide him to a place where he could change. He found a random citizen and asked.
"Where can I find a place to change clothes? Mine is all awkward."
Man: "Wow... Awkward? Are you from a costume group or something? Anyway, the clothes shop is just over there in the plaza! Get something style, boy!"
He thanked the man and followed the instructions. In the plaza he found out that he needed 'munny' or something like that to trade for the clothes he wanted. After a while of discussion the vendor agreed to trade his clothes for Yoru's 'costume', as the pelt quality was superb and unknown to him (he certainly made profit out of it!).
Triumphant and full of himself Yoru made out through the plaza a completely new man! He seemed even younger then he was (easily mistaken as seventeen years old). The darkness now covered the man, because he chose only the darkest color tones. A dark blue shirt under some black jacket with sleeves halfway arm (light blue details on the ends). He now was wearing dark blue trousers and the blackest shoes he could find. His Rigonlay always on the right hand. The necklace with the black stone was now camouflaged in front of the dark blue shirt, but the ring still stood attention-getting as always. Happy like a child he jogged all the way back to the black portal Luxord opened to him.
"Nobody to find in this boring 'Sunset Town'! The next place awaits me!"
The man jumped for the second time in the portal of darkness knowing now that he would live. "Life is wonderful", was his last though before his mind blurred.
