Name: Raimu Bito
Nickname: Rhyme, and only goes by it. However, she has also been called "Skulls Jr.".
Organization XIII or Dark XII Nickname: N/A
Age: 12 (Her official age is "Presumably between 12 and 14", so I shall go with the age that she looks to me, which is 12.)
Gender: Female
Species: Human/Living Memory
Position: Good
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Rhyme is a Supporter, and her Magic capabilities reflect that. The types of magic that she knows are as follows:
Full Magical Capability: 35 MP
Reflect : She uses Reflect mainly to protect herself and those around her if there are any danger from incoming attacks. As all Reflects work, if it successfully guards an attack (a 50% chance), it unleashes a spray of light around the dome that does damage equal to the enemy’s attack power to anything hit by the light. Costs 5 MP.
Cure: She uses it to restore a little HP to one person, sometimes herself, mostly to others. Costs 5 MP.
She knows one offensive magic move.
Magnet: When used, she summons a vortex of magnetic force that draws in enemies, dealing weak, yet continuous damage for a short amount of time. It lasts for the duration of only one of her posts. Costs 10 MP.
For every post with no magic being used, she regains 2 MP.
Weapon/Items: The only objects worth mentioning on her is her skull hat and her bell pendant, both of which are very important to her. Her hat connects her to her older brother, Beat, who wears a similar one, and her bell pendant had been a gift from him.
Picture: Appearance: Rhyme is a small twelve year old with a soft face and blue eyes that hide wisdom. She has short blonde hair that frames her face, and on top of it, she wears a black hat with a skull on it. The shirt she wears is an orange-red with a stylized heart crossbones symbol imprinted on it, and the sleeves are long and wide, easily being able to hide her hands. Around her neck she wears a string with a bell on it. She wears a pair of white overalls, but she doesn’t wear them properly – as the top of it hangs around her waist instead. Her shoes are mostly black with the back ends being yellow, and the soles and laces being white. She is never really seen wearing anything else.
Personality: Rhyme possesses a calm and optimistic demeanor that rarely ever disappears, even in the heat of an argument. She’s loyal and kind, and is always wearing a smile, being kind of everyone that she meets. Despite her young age she is very reasonable. Her young and pure heart is impossible to hate, and it gives her great love and loyalty to those that she considers friends.
Because of her big heart, and her intense kindness, it makes it hard for her to see evil or bad intentions in anyone’s heart. This makes her very naïve and very innocent. She is, however, very wise, always having a proverb or a bit of advice for any sort of situation, whether it be about being amnesiac, or about being patient.
She is rarely ever upset with anyone, and it takes a lot to make her lose her temper. She is almost never angry, even if she had every right to be, and because of this, she is very patient and relaxed. She also never means any harm and never wants to hurt anyone intentionally, going so far as to feel sad about something that she had caused, even if it had been accident.
Original World: Shibuya
Current World: Traverse Town
Movie/Video Game(s): The World Ends With You
History: Raimu Bito was born in the world of Shibuya, to a pair of loving parents. In this life, she had an older brother named Beat, however, because of his bad grades, he frequently got into arguments with their parents. The two siblings often clashed, as, despite Rhyme wanting to become closer to him, he wanted nothing to do with her, and constantly pushed her away, because he didn’t want her pity, or his little sister being seen hanging around him.
One day, however, the fights between Beat and his parents had led to him leaving the house, and Rhyme soon followed. But… this is where tragedy was going to strike the family in Shibuya. Rhyme was about to be hit by a car, crossing the street to get to him. Beat tried to save her, but they were both hit by it in the end, and, very sadly, died.
Thus, they became partners in the Reaper’s Game, but there was something wrong. Rhyme did not remember her brother. On their second day of the first week of the Reaper’s Game, Beat and Rhyme met up with Shiki and Neku, and, though they planned to team up, Neku’s antisocial tendencies clashed with Beat’s competitive spirit, and so the two teams kept separated. Nonetheless, the two sets of Players developed a close bond, and agreed to assist each other.
Soon, the four of them became friends, willing to do anything for their partners. Rhyme knew her bond with Beat was strong, and though she didn’t know they were actually siblings, she knew that their bond was something special, and so she kept it close to her heart. He was the kindest “stranger” she had met, and she didn’t want to let him go.
The game continued on from there until a strange mission arrived... a simple location change with no time limit. With the Players' guards dropped, this allowed the Reapers to attack at any moment and destroy as many Players as they possibly could. Thus, when Beat, who hadn't been paying attention, was about to get attacked by a Shark Noise and only Rhyme had seen it, she pushed him out of the way, getting erased in his stead.
Two weeks later, Rhyme opened her eyes to find the memories of her brother returned, and once again alive. Her brother, Shiki, and Neku explained that she had been turned into a Noise, and working together, Neku and Beat had managed to bring her back by winning the Game. Once again with her friends, Rhyme led a happy life.
That is, until dark creatures soon arrived in Shibuya, and Rhyme had no idea what they were. The world was swallowed up by their Darkness and their desire to swallow the people and turn them into their own, and Rhyme, in desperation, ran for her life. She kept running, until the world around her collapsed, and she found herself somewhere else entirely.
Role Playing Sample: Rhyme opened her eyes. It was confusing, where she was now. What was she doing here? She should be gone, like the rest of Shibuya, because, clearly, those things had been eating everything in sight, consuming it in their darkness. Was Beat safe? Were the others? Did they manage to escape like she had, to where she was now? She supposed she would never know, since now she was somewhere else.
... It was odd. The roofs of the buildings that she could see were different than the ones in Shibuya. They were more old, rather than modern, with the smoke moving from the chimneys of the houses. The positions of the stars that were in her main vision seemed familiar, but that was about it. She forced herself to sit up to get a better look, and from there, it was revealed. A nearby sign told her she was in Traverse Town, but how, she didn't know.
But something clicked. If she was here, did that mean the others were, as well?
With this realization, a bright smile came onto Rhyme's face and she stood up, sprinting up in an almost hop. Determination now struck her, as she made a promise to herself to go out there into this unfamiliar place and find her brother and her friends! She had to; after all, Beat would be lost without her - she was thinker of the pair.
With this in mind, she had to look around this strange town to find them. Rhyme began to walk down a street toward a set of doors, focused completely on her task. Along the way, there were others in the town going their separate ways, entering shops, exiting them, and just existing. The familiarity of the street scene made Rhyme feel more comfortable, as it was kind of like walking through an older version of the Scramble Crossing.
Racing through the doors that told her she was heading to the Second District, she threw herself against the railing looking down it, seeing the people crowding around the area, talking, doing their daily business. She couldn't see her brother, she couldn't see her friends, and fear rose in her little heart.
She was alone, and yet, she wasn't. She wasn't with Beat. She wasn't with Neku. She wasn't with Shiki. They weren't here. She was. How was this possible? How did she get from Shibuya to this "Traverse Town"? How come they weren't here, but she was?"
“… WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?” she called out into the District, as if it would somehow summon her friends. People turned to look at her in confusion, though some seemed to understand in some way, giving her sympathetic looks.
But Beat, Neku and Shiki didn't answer. In sadness, Rhyme collapsed onto her knees, tears streaming down her face. She missed her brother. She missed her friends. She wanted them back.
... More than anything.
