ORIGINAL or CANON: Original
Face claim’s name: Korra - The Legend of Korra
Aeon FC: Volibear – League of Legends
What was the inspiration for them / do they embody a particular feeling or emotion? The strength of beliefs and the struggle of dealing with the reality that they were all fabrications is what the character faces. Hundreds of years in crystal stasis left a lot of change for the world to face, and as such, she barely had time to properly adjust to her new world before the Nightfall. She embodies the chaos of knowing nothing, but learning as one goes along. That sort of natural curiosity, if you will.

Appearance: Explain your character with detail. Describe distinguishing features (such as piercings, tattoos, scars, etc.). Other things you can describe are: clothing they wear on a daily basis and if they ever change their wardrobe, hair color and style, eye color, facial features, body type, height and weight, etc. Paint an image for us in words, even if you provide a picture. You must describe your character in paragraph form; do not use a list.
Personality: The Al Bhed of Tya’s time were a much less hated people, and as such, she is a very warm person to others, friendly to a fault. This doubles as a trait of a Summoner, somebody expected to protect Spira with their life. She is a protector of the peace first and foremost, and holds the firm belief that she can fix the sorrows of those around her. She associates Heartless very closely with the idea of Sin, and as such works to eliminate both. To her allies, she is their shield, standing strong with Castillo to protect them in their time of need.
However, she has the recklessness and spontaneity of an Al Bhed, that eager and nagging desire to discover and learn. She wants to enjoy life, however she can, and more often than not, it gets her into sticky situations. Before, she had Luca to help her, but now she must rely on whomever might be her ally at the time to keep her out of trouble.
Her greatest fear is not being good enough, and because of this, she is always improving, finding ways to better herself somehow. To her, the only acceptable outcome is victory, and if she is defeated, she will try her hardest to return even stronger. This has bred a stubborn nature in the girl, resolute and strong.
Natural Affinities/Abilities/Skills: Aeon Summoning
The Fayths of Spira fell to the Heartless at Spira's fall, but due to their unique properties, they were able to take the forms of crystals, much akin to summoning crystals. Only those with the ability to connect with the Farplane may use them, whether a Summoner or not. The Fayth cry out for the feeling of home, and thus will only respond to the calls of Spirans.
Summons only last for a total of three rounds, before returning to their crystal-fayth.- Callisto - Tya is one of the few Summoners to reach Lady Yunalesca, to perform the ritual of the Final Summoning. However, her Guardian and catalyst for her Final Aeon, Luca, shunned her duty of defeating Sin, and instead decided to save Tya, tricking her and putting both herself and Tya in a crystal stasis until Sin was defeated. Because Callisto was a Fayth formed to protect only her Summoner, she did not disappear upon the release of the Fayth, instead remaining in Zanarkand. Castillo takes the guise of a great armored bear, standing easily over Tya by three feet when on all four paws. She commands control of the element of Thunder, and can tear enemies to shreds with her great claws and teeth.
Abilities- Chain Lightning: Castillo's attacks become enchanted with the element of thunder, and such an effect persists for three strikes. Rechange of two rounds.
- Thundra: A field of electricity strikes all enemies around Castillo. Cannot be used in succession.
- Overdrive ~ Maelstrom Roar: Castillo lets out a mighty roar, awakening a tempest that looses bolts of lightning upon all opponents, devastating whatever they touch. Only usable if Tya is at low health, or if Castillo has sustained significant damage. The summon is immediately dismissed after use of the Overdrive.
- Fira: Fire magic was useful to Al Bhed for survival in the desert, and it is the first spell that Tya was taught in her training as a Summoner. As such, she is proficient in it, though the weakened state of magic in the Nightfall has diminished her magic powers. Can be used twice each post, but not when Castillo is summoned.
- Overdrive ~ Pyroclasm: A ball of fire is shot into the sky, and breaks off into many smaller ones, which rain down upon enemies below. Usable once every 5 rounds, and not while Castillo is summoned.
Limitations/Drawbacks: Where Tya is very magically inclined, she does not do well in physical combat, despite her Al Bhed upbringing. In addition, she also lacks the speed and agility of someone with such training, instead counting on Callisto as her shield. Overconfidence can also be a limitation for her, at times.
History: Years before the defeat of Sin at the hands of High Summoner Yuna, the world lived in a cycle of birth and death. Each Calm after a Sin would be followed by another Sin, fully matured, and Spira fell into an entropic cycle. Summoners would sacrifice themselves for a Calm that was not even eternal, and many felt the sacrifice was in vain.
Tyrelia was the last of the Al Bhed Summoners.
She grew up with the harsh realities of Sin, her father lost to a battle with the great beast. Though the Calm came soon afterwards, and a relatively peaceful life, she grew with a festering hatred of Sin and all it represented. Instead of working on Machina, she learned how to be a Summoner alongside her friend, Luca. The two would travel via her mother's small airship to the temples, where they were welcomed not as Al Bhed, but potential followers of the pilgrimage. It was in the temples that both learned magic: Luca white, and Tya black. This training went on for years, until it was finally decided Tya was ready. Luca had abandoned aspirations of being a Summoner, instead opting to be Tya's Guardian.
The two started their pilgrimage in Besaid, odd ones out from the other normal Summoners that traveled there. However, of the three summoners that prayed to the Fayth, she was the only one to be accepted by Valefor's Fayth, and entered into her pilgrimage on a good pace. However, the Calm was ending as her Pilgrimage started, and without warning, Sinspawn rained down upon Besaid. She and the other present Summoners fought them off, and pursued Sin into the sea, where they scared it away from Besaid.
Kilika came next, then a stop in Luca, her Guardian's namesake, to visit the city. Then it was off to Djose Temple and Macalania Temple. Ifrit, Ixion, and Shiva all accepted Tya, but her first challenge came in Bevelle.
A young challenger called her a heretic, an Al Bhed abomanation, and a mockery of the Fayth. Against hers and Luca's better judgment, she dueled the Summoner in the courtyard of the temple, where her Aeons were swiftly defeated. Her action was considered rash and frowned down upon, though a kind miester took pity upon her and allowed her access to the Fayth. Bahamut, however, was displeased with her rash actions, and made sure she knew the error of her ways before granting her his power, a day later. Exhausted, she spent time in Bevelle recovering, and preparing for her next journey, to the Fayth Scar, and eventually Zanarkand.
Encounters with Sin riddled the rest of her adventure, and the sight of fallen Summoners was rampant. However, she persevered alongside Luca, and reached not only the Fayth Scar, but Yunalesca, as well, who taught her the final summoning. However, when the spirit told them that they could not defeat Sin, only cause another Calm, and that Luca would become Sin, the girl objected, telling Tya not to listen to the spirit. She was to find a way to defeat Sin for good. However, Tya saw no other way, and knew it was their duty. Luca relented, and the Final Summoning was performed, Luca turning willingly to a Fayth. However, instead of fighting Sin, she revealed a different plan. Her Aeon from, Callisto, instead took Tya to safety when Yu Yevon appeared, and they fled deep into Zanarkand. There, Luca put herself into a crystal stasis, with Tya as well, only to wake when the world was ready for Sin to be gone.
That day never came before the world fell. When the young Summoner would awake, she would find herself in a new world entirely, only Callisto calling to her. And thus she has wandered, among the Nightfall, searching for her purpose.
Role Playing Sample: Show us a sample of your Role-Playing using your character. Express your character to the best of your ability. This is your time to shine! Remember to:
- Write in paragraph style and
- Write in Third Person Past Tense. This means 'he went to the Clock Tower', not 'he goes to the Clock Tower'. The only time First Person should be used is if we're reading a journal entry or a thought. First Person is only acceptable in such a situation as: "Sora looked up to the stars. _I wonder what happened to the stars?_ He thought."
If you need more clarification on something, ask a staff member.
If stumped, here are some possible ideas for the sample. Feel free to use these, combine these, or do something completely different:
- Your character's Awakening.
- First post in Twilight Town
- An event in their life (depicting where they were during the destruction of their original world is a common one).
- A memory or a dream.
