In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Keyblade Name - Iron Will
Wielder – Maxwell Tendas
Obtained – Magical trinket created by a keyblade wielder from long ago who survived the keyblade war and became isolated on a remote world. As he was unsure if he was the only wielder to survive, he became resolved to not let the greatest weapon with which the light could fight the darkness be lost and created a trinket containing an echo of his consciousness and magical power capable of transferring his ability to wield a keyblade to a successor. It wasn’t long afterward that he was struck down by heartless and became one himself, still carrying the trinket and it’s power with him until his heartless form was struck down by Maxwell Tendas in Twilight Town after he found himself there following the destruction of Atlantis. The trinket, however, was left behind and claimed by Max. It found its chance to test the soldier when he was struck down defending Twilight Town from an exceptionally powerful heartless. The trinket acted quickly with its magic, saving Max’s consciousness from the demise his body had suffered in order to communicate with him. It explained its existence to Max and offered him a second chance of sorts. It also warned him, though, that it would come with a price: he would lose his memories. In exchange he would be granted a return to life and granted light-based magic with which to fight the heartless. What the wielder’s echo had left out was that it would also be a test of his candidacy for his succession as a keyblade wielder.
Appearance – It is clear to see from its appearance that Iron Will is a warrior’s keyblade. It’s metallic appearance, coupled with its hook-like end and spiky teeth, makes it appear dangerous but not malicious.
Hilt and Handle: The handle is wrapped in a reddish-brown leather. The pommel tapers down to a broad spike. The keychain attaches to the side of the pommel and is the crest of Dryden, a golden roaring dragon grasping a sword and shield in its talons. The guard extends in a smooth, even curve to end just above the bottom of the handle without touching it. The guard has a bright blue ridge along the edges that glows, in contrast to the dark metallic grey of the inside.
Blade: The blade extends out straight and solid from the top of the guard. The front edge remains straight until the end, where it curves to form a gently rounded corner. It then curves up and around to form a half-circle, which forms the teeth of the keyform of the weapon. ON the end of the half-circle facing the wielder, it curves down to the point of nearly touching the blade before coming to a corner and forming a new edge parallel to the main body of the blade. It then curves back around in a full circle, almost giving the impression of there being a hole in the end of the blade. This gives it a general hook-like appearance. Protruding out of the top of the “teeth” are four spikes, each with a dangerously sharp point. The blade has the same bright, glowing blue ridge near the edges, as well as a strange, eight-character script down the center in the same fashion.
Transformation: Iron Will is able to transform into a spear. The spear is the same dark, metallic grey along the shaft and most of the spearhead. The spearhead is long, broad, and flat, spreading out at the base to form a small pair of winged points before curving back inward and turning straight to form the rest of the spearhead. The same blue found on Iron Will’s key form is also found along the spearhead, tracing the edges as well as on a strip down the middle of each side. There are also three lines that proceed down the shaft of the spear, spiraling around each other until they reach the butt of the shaft. The butt of the shaft has a broad spike on it, exactly the same as the pommel of its key form. Iron Will’s keychain is also still connected there.
Powers – Iron Will is a physically strong keyblade. It also has a transformation, which is in the form of a spear. While in spear form, Iron Will can also act as a conduit for certain magics, able to modify them for differing effects. However, these modifications can only be used when Iron Will is in its spear transformation.
Spell Modifications:
Protect/Shell/Reflect – Creates a large, circular magical shield at the tip of the keyblade’s spearhead. These shields can be sent hurtling away from the keyblade as a sort of ranged, magical “shield bash”
These spell modifications are neither automatic, nor mandatory. The original, unaltered versions of these spells can still be cast while wielding Iron Will.
Other Notes –
Iron Will is an unusual keyblade in that it reacts heavily to the will of the user. The stronger its wielder’s will, the stronger it gets, up to a limit. When this happens, its glowing blue lines can become almost blinding in brightness.
When its wielder’s will is low however, either through confusion or doubt or otherwise, Iron Will weakens, and can even reach the point of uselessness, even temporarily losing its effectiveness against Heartless. When this happens, its glowing blu lines dim, and can even reach the point where they no longer have color or any light, and instead become a cold, light grey color. When transformed into its spear form, and its wielder’s will falls low enough, it will revert to its key form and be unable to transform again until its wielder’s will is restored. The general order in which it begins losing powers due to faltering will are as follows, with the first listed being the first abilities/powers to be lost:
Spell Modifications > Spear Transformation > Locking/Unlocking and other general, non-combat keyblade abilities > Combat Effectiveness (including vs Heartless. This is the point of uselessness)
