In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

No, SORA actually means sky...like, in Japanese names or something, his name means sky. You also must remember that he can cast all sorts of other stuff, too.
I really think that only Axel or his somebody could be fire. This might mean that we might see Axel again, because he was one of the four elements!
Xion....with her I really don't know. The Wind thing isn't making much sense anymore....Maybe she's Riku's Nobody, cuz everyone knows that Riku's actually a girl
Though yes... the 14th member's name is Xion... Rumors behind the name are to Sora and Kairi's names-- I can't recall the exact reasonings, though that's what well-edumacated fans think.
While your "Nio" name would also make sense, I read somewhere the name Xion came from the I from Kairi, the O from Sora, and the N from Namine. She wields a Keyblade and Riku confronted her citing a familiarity. She could be tied into the bizarre circumstances that gave birth to the Nobody Namine through Sora releasing Kairi's Heart from his own body.
I'm really curious on if they'll address how if a Nobody is a discarded body made from a Heartless, how was Sora able to reclaim his when Roxas was elsewhere since he was only a Heartless for about 5 minutes and Roxas lived for little less than a year?

And if her name had anything to do with Wind, was an anagram+X of Riku, Riku had ever became a Heartless, or was actually a female, we might be onto something.

Ah, but if you take a look at it this way.... (Just my musings, so I don't want a huge fight about it, and I'm not just shooting anything down, no hostilitiy is wished, or intended) Riku gave in to the darkness in his heart, and that allowed Ansem to take his body over. Ansem, is a Heartless. A Human Heartless. It's exceedingly obvious that those with a strong heart can retain their form once becoming a heartless (especially if we go by the dark XII, but lets not open that can of worms).
Ansem, who needed a body, and saw Riku's strength, corrupted his heart and mind with the thought of more power, the thrill of adventure, the power to protect, etc. This was all done slowly, until Riku finally noticed at the end, however too late, and was able to stop ansem briefly.
In the time that Riku was looking like ansem (KH1) he could be seen as a theoretical heartless.
In KH-COM, you could see that as Riku defeating Ansem, (Who, in a way, became Riku's heartless), though he of course retained some of that darkness, which let him become dark Riku. That much corruption cannot be wiped clean simply by destroying the cause, there has to be some cataclysmic event or extreme power to cleanse that (Which comes towards the end of KH2).
Now, as for Namine, Kairi, and Sora being a part of the name of Xion...
Namine- In returning fully to Kairi, this completed her heart once more, exceeding "Perfection" one could say.
Kairi- Again, in having Namine now returned to her, her heart was completed, and now she was one of the Seven princesses of heart again (I don't consider her a full princess, as part of her was missing after KH1)
Sora- In having Roxas returned to him, the cycle of the "L.K.W" is once more back into circulation. (L.K.W., Legendary Key Wielder- This is brought to the thought of "-Ven-Roxas/Sora-" several speculations on this theory actually.)This gave Riku the sense of familiarty that was mentioned above, as he knew what both Roxas and Sora looked like, but Xion doesn't really look like either, correct? Well, this makes Riku like "I know you......but how?"
Anyway, just the ramblings and wonderings and theory of one fan of Kingdom Hearts. Sorry if none of it makes any sense.
However, a Heartless, or an Unbirth? Maybe not so much. There's also a theory that if a Nobody dies before its Heartless they can rejoin as a whole, as the Heart is still technically alive.
Given that in the Final Mix+ scene where Axel and Roxas say their goodbyes, Axel sheds a tear, I'd bet that either he was a special case like Roxas, or Roxas and his connection as friends had another effect we don't yet know about.
