In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The initial pillar of fire had left he orb that was in Hitsurashis hand and was now locked on to the life essence of Sig, and was still on a crash course with his body, not minding the darkness as the light from within the blast was keeping the darkness at bay for the time being. The pillar wasn't as strong now that it had left the orb from which it had came. But Hitsu had no time to worry about whether or not his pillar would do the necessary amount of damage for he had seen the mans attack being launched, but what Sig hadn't known, was that Hitsu had been practicing fighting against he darkness, as much as he could. For he had to travel INTO the REALM of darkness so he could find and save his father. Hitsu knew this particular shadow move was like most that he had encountered before, and he knew how to handle it. The orb of Fox Fire began to swirl outward, crawling up Hitsus arm. As the two spiraling streams of energy joined at the top of his shoulder. They exploded silently, letting of sparks and embers of Fox Energy as his arm became one with the energy, the true form of his body being revealed. He could only do it to one limb at a time, being too young to withstand any more pressure than that. He aimed his arm at Sig as he stood atop his pillar of darkness, the shadow directly infront of him as he spoke.
"Fire of my soul and spirit, cleanse the darkness from this realm."
A pillar of fire, 4 times as large as the one before, shot forth from his outstretched fiery palm. The shadow disappearing and being consumed by the brightness and the heat from the billowing flaming pillar. The air wavered as the heat threatened to burn the very oxygen they breathed. This pillar moved at roughly twice the speed of the last and smaller one, driven by Hitsus pure determination of the fight, determined to rid the world of yet another foul evil being, the pillar gaining ever closer to the body of Sig.

A darkness user fighting a light user. Not to mention both being a user of lightning. This was certainly turning out interesting for Jason. As the darkness flew toward him, Jason said "The light from within, protect me from my foes." His staff glowed with light as it seemingly bent around him. Once it was bent, it copied itself twice, one moving up and one moving down. One staff was at his head, one at his torso, and one at his feet. Nothing else was able to be seen...
But if something had hit the area between the staves, then the light barrier between them could be seen. Nothing could penetrate it at this point in time. However, it limited Jason's movements, and as such, could not attack. So while invincible... he was unable to strike back. All good things have some form of drawback, and this was no exception.

Sig smiled once more, still as smug as ever. With one mighty shout, Sig screamed, "Stop!"
Right in their tracks, the shadows that had screeched toward their target stopped in midstride, each jumping into the vastness of the sky, doing backwards towards the pillar of darkness.
Both Shadows landed on the sides of the pillar, and the one that had seemingly been guarding the tower the entire time, sunk their hands into the pillar of black, coursing lightning, as each opened their mouth's, a hideous voice, grotesque even to the ear, emerging from each mouth. It sounded like the screeching of a paniccing chalkboard:
"FORTIFY!"
It seemed as if a barrier of lightning then coursed out of the pillar, surrounding the shadows, and Sig. The pillar of flame bursted into nothingness, as Sig then turned his sights on Hitsurashi, and Jason. Looking at both while speaking the words.
"You both are formidable. Maybe you are good material."
One blackened eye, it's pupil coursing orange, yet it's iris as black as darkness, was turned onto Hitsurashi. Seemingly upset.
"And it's not 'darkness'. It's 'Black Lightning'. I take offense to that."
He smiles as he watches the pillar of fire, not be destroyed, or disappear, but burst into thousands upon thousands of small, unseeable pieces, his mind working quickly to decipher everything that was going on around him, but he just barely heard the mans words as he spoke, smirking at the one word he could understand, offense. The word brought a laugh to crawl from his throat, a sick sound at this point in time. He held his still Energy glowing hand out infront of him towards the shimmering light that was the dispersed Fox Energy.
"You shouldn't be so easy to Offend simpleton."
He closed his hand in a tight ball, the energy in the air stopping and forming into thousands and thousands of small needles, which would explode into the blood stream of anything or anyone that was hit by them. They all, in an instant shot forward, all having the same amount of energy that a single beam of Fox Fire would have, meaning they could easily pierce through an energy shiled, and tear through a normal shield after a barrage of needles.

Regardless of how powerful the attack that Hitsurashi released on the group, Jason's shield stood tall. Jason would keep the shield up until the coast was clear. He then removed it so he could move freely, but kept himself ready to attack at any moment. He didn't think this battle was completely done, but he would have to figure out what Sig meant by 'Good Material'. It confused Jason to no end, and so he would wait there for something else to happen.
Demitri smiled, admiring Jason's determination, as he realized that his own shield stood tall, unwavering, no sign that it would fall. That is, until the fellow lightning user released his sheild, and began to make his move.
As for Hitsurashi, Demitri had nearly given up on enlisting this youth into the band, fearing that his overconfidence would get the best of him. I mean, seriously. Hitsurashi has never even seen anything Demitri had been capable of...not yet.
Yet this youth continued to undermine him, seeing him not even as an equal. Meaning, the needles the youth sprayed, though were intent on piercing the barrier, as long as the black aura shadows, coursing with an even darker lightning, had their hands combined with the power of the spiral tower, the barrier would remain.
Raising his fist high into the air, Demitri closed his own eyes briefly, his fist coursing with the energy he had inherited from his cursed family. His curse, had become his strength.
Oddly enough, a black cloud, appearing suddenly over Demitri's head, shot forth, an orange, mixed with a slightly coursing black aura of lightning, shot into Demitri's closed fist, channeling all through his body, Demitri slowly opened his eyes once more.
The pupil of his eyes were as orange as the hair upon his fallen master's head. The iris, radiating with black energy, the Black Lightning himself, said in a deep, dark, angry voice:
Lowering his empowered fist, he shouted once more, as a straight, direct, huge, empowering arrow of black lightning shot forth, the size of the pillar itself, threatning to envelope the Fox guy.
"Hmm...that guy over there is qualified, but this one...I don't know. He's a little too cocky..."
He laughed rather loudly as he saw the man was rather miffed that Hitsurashi had been so cocky and full of himself for this moment. The man obviously didn’t know exactly what Hitsu was capable of, else he surely wouldn’t be so quick to think Hitsu was any less capable then he thought himself to be. And he would surely show this man that he was not one to be taken lightly, especially when he was going up against a darkness of any kind. Hitsu closed his eyes as he felt the dark lightning rushing towards him, his right arm again glowing Orange, but this time, it began to pulse. The skin of the arm began to peel away slowly, revealing the muscles and tendons that lie beneath. The arm drips a single drop of blood as it bends and the muscles strain as Hitsu again grabs Kazetaishu, which he had dropped during his previous attack. As the arm which was being destroyed grabbed the hilt of Kazetaishu, it suddenly erupted in a bright flame, the spirit of fox again adorning his arm, making it stronger and stronger with each passing second. Kazetaishu then glowed with the same energy, the blade growing longer and sharper with the flowing energy. Hitsu spoke quietly, gradually getting louder as the arrow grew nearer.
“Fox claw Omega!”
Kazetaishus form wavered once, and then burst out of existence, but only for a brief second before the pieces of the sword came back to the hilt, now forming a long, thin, curved blade that was pitch black, resemling the claw of a fox. Hitsu dashed forward, jumping in the air going straight at the brunt of the arrow, his body propelled forward by a constant stream of fox fire that shot from his feet. He thrust the Fox Claw Omega at the dark arrow lightning, the darkness ripping in two as he did so, the energy of the claw separating it and slicing it in half. The power from the sword and blast meeting rocketed through his arm, making his hand bleed because the sword was unstable in the hilt, and was always shedding pieces of metal. Soon he was clean through to the otherside of the blast and was now rocketing towards Sig himself. His entire arm was bleeding, an orange blood that ran rich with Fox Energy. He swung the sword down with one hand, for if the other touched it, it would burn it to the bone in an instant, and as the blade met with the barriers around Sig, it sent massive amounts of energy through the shield, the energy able to pass through it, but it would be less then half of the amount of energy that was originally put into the blade attack. Once inside the shield, they would begin to implode violently, and then explode outward in a large burst of Fox Fire.

Jason stood there as Hitsurashi had fought with Sig. It seemed that there was little that Jason could do at this moment. He stood there, prepared to attack should any of this energy come toward his way. But neither the dark lightning nor the fox energy was being launched toward him. The two were seemingly just fighting each other at this time, and Jason was not sure who he should help. He knew nothing about either of them. So he stood there, taking a backseat to his usual nature, and just waited for something to happen toward his direction.
Smirking once more at the overconfident youth behind him, Sig's eyes grew darker than before, as dark as the pillar of black lightning he stood upon. Oddly enough, the moment his eyes faded to a darker nature, the arrow of black lightning, that had seemlingly launched itself at the youth, seperated.
The arrow seperated, into hundreds- no, thousands of seperate black arrows, coursing with a dark, crimson red burst of electricity, as it began to close in on the one who was known as Hitsurashi.
Though, this did not stop the youth's blade, as it continued to fly towards Sig. Though, it seemed he had not even minded, for as soon as the attack would land on the body of the merc, for an instant, a very brief, near impossible to see, in a split second, the body of Sig changed, into that of the shadow he had sent towards Hitsurashi, then, returning back into the supposed body of Sig, the body burst. In the explosion, many darts of black lightning arose out of the fray, aligning themselves into the air, then launching themselves toward the ground, where they faded, not to be seen.
While the, supposed 'Sig', had vanished, the original stood behind the body of Jason, cocky and smug.
"You underestimate me kid. But, on a side note, mind if I blow down that house you came out of, and....'remodel'? The new Red Rovers need a headquarters."
Still standing behind the body of a fellow lightning user, Sig turned to face Jason, staring at the back of the man's head.
"You're pretty good. Name's Sig, leader of the new Red Rovers. We specialize in mercenary work, but mostly, retrieval jobs. Interested?"
