In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The dim light of indoors hit Artemis' eyes as he entered the card world. A stunned look covered his face as he recognized the area.
Djose? How did I get here? he thought with an astonished look on his face. Looking around, he even saw people praying at the statues.
"How in Spira..." he whispered, recognizing some of the faces. Was it possible that he was...home? Looking again, he saw a statue that he had accidentaly broke as a child. His hopes fell, as he realized that this was a memory.
"Artemis, it's time!" came a voice from behind him. Turning on his heel, he looked at Maester Dilan, one of his old masters. "Today's the day, huh? Go ahead and enter the Cloyster, and may Yevon be with you."
With a silent nod, Artemis recalled this memory. That robed man said this was made of my memories...so it makes sense that I'd start with this. He walked towards the door to the Cloyster, but froze when something caught his eye. It was that man again, watching him.
"So, this was the most strong of your memories? Well, if you hope to get out of here, boy, use this." With a flick of his hand, the cloaked man threw another card at Artemis.
"Now, you're on your own." said the man, disappearing in a dark portal. But before it fully closed, a voice came through it.
"And beware the heartless..."
Xaldin
A dark portal appeared next to Vexen as Xaldin stepped out, lowering his hood. "I see that you have taken quite an interest in this world" he observed, looking around.
"So, what do we do with the intruder? Your call, Academic"

The hooded academic kept staring in front of him. Into the setting sun over the ruïns of Zanarkand. His black robes billowing gently in the mountain winds of this barren wasteland. It's small mouth visible as the light of the low sun illuminated the lower part of his hood. The tender lips moved as he spoke: "Axel should be more careful when traveling through the corridors of darkness. But his negligence has proven to be beneficial instead. The creature and the intruder are connected in a form I have never seen before. It is very well possible that it is this connection that allows the beast to remain in physical shape in our world. If we dispose of the intruder we could very well lose our prize. Caution is needed until I have found a way to overcome that problem."
The disturbing sounds of battle then reached the duo. This part of Zanarkand was build from the memories of the Aeon Hermes. And it's memories were the strongest when called upon by summoners. Walking closer over to the cliff's edge. Vexen glared down. As he saw how a summoner and his guardians were battling the fiends that roam on the streets of Zanarkand. Immediately the Academic focused his gaze and started to collect data from the fight.
While doing so he slightly turned to Xaldin and said while multitasking:" I will study the intruder soon, his memories could be a valuable asset."
As he approached the door to the Cloyster, a quick flash emanated from the card that the stranger had given him. Looking around, he noticed he was now alone. "Ahh!" he yelled, backing up into the Cloyster door. But, as he did so, the door reacted with the card, opening his way into the Cloytser. With a hesitant raise of his staff, Artemis focused his power and said, "Apollo, guide me." He watched as his stallion Aeon was summoned to him, and he placed a hand on the beast's flank. "C'mon, let's save Hermes." he said, walking forward.
Xaldin
"Hmm?"
As Xaldin was observing the fight next to Vexen, a sudden surge of power came from a lower floor. And it was similiar to the other beast's too...he didn't have Zexion's enhanced "scent", but he could tell that it was another of those beings from Spira.
"Did you feel that, Vexen? Our friend has brought us another gift."

"Your talent for stating the blatantly obvious is astounding." Vexen replied in a sarcastic tone. Still observing and gathering the data from the fight in front of him. Xaldin's meddling in his research was starting to agitate the Chilly Academic. It made the number IV wonder why the Whirlwind Lancer was really present. His interest in strong beings that would be possible strong Nobodies was no secret but to hawk over him like this was new.
The battle down below on the ruïned street of Zanarkand was over. The summoner in question was the previous master of the Aeon Hermes. Who together with his Guardians was undertaking his pilgrimage and reaching the final stage. The final Aeon that would allow him to defeat Sin and bring about the Calm. But this Summoner would never reach his destination. Vexen retracted from his vantage point. For now he had gathered enough data from this room.
Slowly the robed figure turned around and crossed the rocky platform to the stone wall at the other side. While doing this he passed Xaldin. Only after a few more steps, Vexen halted. The hood shifted to the side as the scientist spoke: "This story is at its end. But it is only one of many."
A door formed in the bedrock surface, one leading to another room composed of different memories. Another area of the world of Spira was now accessible. While reaching their ears, the chocking gasps of the mortally wounded summoner could be made out. He collapsed on the road while his Guardians stood at a loss. Defeated by one of the powerful fiends of Zanarkand. But mostly defeated by their own overzealousness. The humanoid Nobody already knew how this would end. He had no need to observe this. The end of the Aeon's previous summoner. Instead of watching their demise, he passed through the door.
"You'd best be watching your tounge, Vexen. You may just be one rank below me, but know that I am still your superior." He followed the Academic through the doorway, returning to the white walls of Castle Oblivion. As he pushed his hood down, he looked at Vexen, as if reading his demeanor. "You are curious as why I am here, no?" he said. Then, with a small chuckle, he said, "That boy controls beings of immense power that can be valubale to our goals. I suggest you confront him and get more data on him, not his world." With a flourish of his cloak, Xaldin turned on his heel and opened a dark portal.
"If you fail, you will answer to the Superior. He is expecting success. Don't let him down."
And with that, Xaldin was gone.
Artemis
A gentle whinny was all Artemis heard as he and Apollo went through the Cloyster. They had made quite a bit of progress, and hadn't encountered any Heartless. They were near the Chamber of the Fayth, and Apollo could feel it. Artemis smiled at his memory of the first time he was there then froze when he heard a noise.
Vexen glared at the disappearing portal of darkness. He was not pleased by Xaldin's bossy behavior. In his eyes he was a stampeding fool with not enough intellect to understand the greater picture. Science is a delicate process in which one must be patient and not skip any fazes. The Chilly Academic felt not threatened by the last comment. He would reach success.
Turning back on the door he pondered. The doorway he took should have taken him to another part of the world. Not back outside it, in the white halls of Castle Oblivion. It was clear that the castle didn't desire the presence, or rather disturbance, of the Whirlwind Lancer. He stretched out his hand toward the door. Reaching out to it with his mind and it opened. Leading to a new location in the world of Spira. One that was not accessible when Xaldin was in the castle. A blinding light shone from the frame as the number IV walked closer. Asking out loud: "Tell me, Castle Oblivion. What do you want to show me. What is it that you only want me to see?"
Vexen stepped into the blinding light. The first thing that overcame him was a song. lamda.bluelaguna.net/ffxmusic/46%20-%20Song%20of%20Prayer%20~%20Ixion.mp3 Then his eyes started to adjust as he witnessed the interior of the Temple of Djose. Immediately realizing it's importance and power. Walking through this memory he saw the statues lined up along the sides. People praying and priests maintaining the area. At the other end, there was a door. It was a door of Castle Oblivion itself leading to another room. Only just recently opened by a card. It was the intruder. Vexen could feel it in the next room. Alongside with the power of another great and powerful creature. Vexen waited for a moment and then glanced upward at the ceiling as he softly uttered at Castle Oblivion: "I can't believe you sided with Xaldin."
"I need to catch up with the boy before he reaches the heart of this cloister. I better slow him down a bit." Raising his hand the Organization member called out to the realm of darkness. Reaching out to the room that Artemis was in. Opening the corridors of darkness and letting the Heartless Shadows in. Drawn by Artemis his heart.
Artemis jumped in surprise as Shadows began appearing around him, though the hooded man had warned him. Apollo let out an angry whinny, firing off Aerosparks at the Heartless as Artemis targeted another group, his staff morphing to Divinity. He nocked an arrow and aimed down a line of Heartless, taking them all out with a simple Thunder arrow. He then turned and shot another arrow at a Shadow attacking Apollo.
Throwing a hand up, an orange glow surrounded himself and Apollo, activating his white magic spell, Haste. He began to see the enemies slow down, and shot a Static Explosion into a large group of Shadows, stunning them.
Vexen appeared out of a black swirling mass of darkness behind Artemis and Apollo. Catching them both right before they made their way through the door and into the next hall. The Chilly Academic made sure he remained in the shadows and out of sight of both. But the view of the Thunder Aeon sparked his scientific interest. For it to be so similar to the captured Hermes in some ways and yet so completely different at the same time. The origin of these creatures must be the result of very unique and rare, if not legendary circumstances.
But the bond between these powerful beings and mere simple humans was still an enigma. How are they forged? How can one as weak and insignificant as him master such vast potential? If he could discover that information, then a whole new array of abilities opened up for him. Not forgetting what he could do with the captured specimen.
Using corridors of darkness again, Vexen sleekly moved to the most powerful and important chamber that was nearby. A chamber where such potent memories were piled up that the barrier between memory and reality were nearly gone. The chamber of the Fayth.
It would expose him to Artemis when he arrived there. This is where Vexen would confront him.
With a yell, Artemis fired an inciderary arrow at another group of Heartless, still running alongside Apollo. At intervals, the Aeon would fire off Thundaga spells, but was losing energy quick. The good news wa sthat they were close to reaching the Cloyster. Occasionally, Artemis would have to use the spheres he needed, and would use some to block off the Heartless. Finally, he reached the room before the Fayth, where Apollo nickered and stopped. He patted his flank and said, "Take a rest, buddy." With a flurry of pyreflies, Apollo was gone, but he was already working on a new summon. Ice crystals formed around him, before forming the portal that contained Aphrodite. As teh ice broke apart, she stepped behind him, noticing the smell of darkness.
"We need to help Hermes, and I think the answer lies ahead." And with that, h and Aphrodite entered the Fayth, which seemed to keep the Heartless out. But, once he entered, Artemis' eyes grew wide and an arrow was on the string in a flash.
"Who in Spira are you?" he said to the man in the room with him.
Vexen turned his head to look upon the summoner and the new icy female companion. Another one of those powerful entities, but this time with the element of ice. And a human like appearance instead of an animal like one.
He stood across the room from them both. Hearing the question. Vexen was contemplating. Would he tell him the truth, could his puny mind handle it? Or would a trick or deception be better in this place. The Chilly Academic calculated which course of action would render him the best results as fast as possible. The human had already seen both Axel and Xaldin so he would naturally conclude him to belong to them for the organization robes.
"The only thing that is important right now, is that I am in possession of your avian friend. It is a most intriguing specimen. Such is your world where these powerful beings come from. A world I now believe to be called Spira."
"Of course this ios Spira, it's my home world." Artemis' voice rose as the man told him he had Hermes, and he was tempted to call forth his bow and send an arrow through his heart. However, Aphrodite laid a hand on his shoulder, reminding him this was a place of sacred times. With a sigh, he looked to the man and said,
"Return Hermes to me, wharever you have him. Keeping an Aeon apart from his Summoner for too long can't be good." He was trying to hold back his anger, but felt like soon he would have to let it loose, and break the most sacred rule of the Cloister.
The platinablond man in the dark robes gave a cold, emotionless stare at Artemis. If he still had feelings he would be angered now by the sheer rudeness and insolence of this mere young man. Demanding him to return his specimen. As if he had anything to say at all in the matter.
But there was an interesting element that was spoken. 'Summoner' So his theory was now confirmed. But the art of summoning had never been practiced before in such manner as shown here before him. This Spira where all originated from must be quite a powerful world.
A fake mocking smile curled upon the scientist lips as he taunted Artemis: "How can somebody as weak as yourself be able to summon such powerful entities? And what exactly would happen to my test subject if not returned to you shortly?"
With an angered yell, Artemis swiped a hand through the air and said, "Eventually he will have to return to the Fayth to rest. If you don't, the Fayth will die!" As he said so, he pointed at the statue and said, "Aeons need to return to their Fayth to recharge their powers, or rest inside their Summoner. You can barely even grasp the power of the Aeon, and a dead test subject won't do you much good."
His staff now appeared in his hand, and he forgot he was in the Fayth. With another angry sound, a yellow glow enveloped his right hand, and he lashed out at the man, throwing a Thunder spell.
Vexen brought his hand up to his chin as he took in the words being said pondering. Not paying heed to the anger in his voice. The mentioning of the Fayth was something the Chilly Academic found interesting. A defined name such as that would greatly help his research to this phenomenon. He followed Artemis his pointing to the statue inside. Starting to understand the link these chambers have with the entities known as Aeons.
But as the staff appeared in the human's hand, it alerted him. With a blue icy flash, his shield appeared also. From the back of the shield, a very soft computerized voice stated to the scientist:
Commencing data gathering
In the following moment as the thunder spell was unleashed, Vexen raised his shield to block the incoming lightingstrike. It struck hard and dispersed into several other directions. Causing winds and stray sparks to whirl around in the chamber of the Fayth. Vexen's robes and long locks of hair billowed softly in the aggressive shockwaves that were caused. But he himself stood there unphased as blocking the thunderspell didn't even caused him to excess any power at all. He just stood there unbudged and unscratched as the violent crackling thunder subsided and died down. The soft computerized voice from the back of the 'Frozen Pride' stated:
Data gathering at 12%
As if nothing happened, Vexen lowered the shield slightly and addressed Artemis again as he demanded with his cackling voice: "Tell me, how did you acquire the power to summon and control these Aeons. What steps did you take to have these Fayth's bow down and obey your will?"
Laughter. Artemis couldn't help but laugh when the man asked how he dominated the Fayth. "You really think I control them? No, Aeons are not servants, but rather allies that fight along the side of Summoners to defeat Sin and anything dark." He was surprised to a movement on his shoulder, then sensed Aphrodite withdrawing. Then, suddenly, something in his mind clicked, and a whole other consciousness entered his. He almost cried out in joy as Hermes found him, but gasped at the loss of his power.
And it was dropping.
He went to recall his Aeon, but his eyes widened as a large amount of power went from Aphrodite to Hermes.
~Another floor~
Hermes was finally able to stand, and the spirit of the Fayth smiled as Aphrodite stood before him, placing a hand on his shoulder and then disappating into pyreflies. As she did, the immense cold was gone, and he called out to Artemis, his pyreflies going to his ally.
~The Memory Fayth~
With a smile, Artemis looked to the man and said, "Apparently you don't know these creatures well enough to contain them."[/color As he said that, he heard a call and saw Hermes materialize behind him, glaring at the blonde man. "And now you're hopeless."
