In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Organization XIII or Dark XII Nickname: The Gambler of Fate.
Age: Appears to be 29.
Gender: Male.
Species: Nobody.
Position: Chaotic Neutral.
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Note: Luxord has a total of 150 MP to be spent in battle. MP cannot be restored until the battle is over.
Time. Luxord has the ability to control it -- to an extent. Of course, he probably has more control over it than anybody you'll ever meet or even see, but he has his limits. It isn't as if he can time travel, only short spurts of time can be altered. By altered, I mean he can slow the passage of time down or speed it up within his vicinity. And by vicinity, it typically means the area that he has set off by surrounding it with cards. He can also freeze others in time, but only for a short few moments. The use of that particular ability is gruelling on his energy, too.
Stop: Costs 10 MP. A basic spell that is used quite frequently. Has a chance of freezing a single enemy in time. Lasts one turn, meaning the next time the other person posts, they must wait (if hit) or avoid the attack. Exposes the enemy for ravaging.
Stopga: Costs 25 MP. Freezes surrounding enemies in time. Typically, this spell only works on normal Heartless, however there is a small chance of stopping a more advanced, stronger enemy (i.e. the Dark XII members).
Slow: Costs 10 MP. Slows an enemy down for the next turn, making them easier to hit.
Slowga: Costs 20 MP. Slows down a group of enemies, though a maximum of 5 at a time. Lasts for one post.
Basic Healing. Being an experienced adversary on the battlefield, the Gambler knew that there were times when restoration of health was required. He picked up the skill a long time ago, and can cast a few spells:
Cure: Costs 20 MP. A decent portion of his health is restored.
Curaga: A small amount of health is restored to Luxord, as well as up to three allies.
Manipulation of Cards: Luxord holds what seems to be a standard deck of cards, but the pile itself is nearly infinite. He had the ability to conjure and use cards that are twice his size for reasons necessary, though at a cost. However, the "normal cards" we'll say, cost nothing to use.
Monstro: Costs 50MP. A gigantic card with a thick body, emerges from the ground at a speed that'll make your heart skip a beat. Thrusts into opponents and launches them, causing severe damage.
Rain: Costs 35 MP. Cards, all about the size of Luxord himself in height, come crashing to the ground like blades, slicing things with ease. Unable to slice through a person, obviously, but damaging. Remain on the battle field for two upcoming turns to serve as nothing more than obstacles before disappearing.
Ripple: Costs 20MP. Four cards emerge in front of Luxord, all horizontally situated and about the size of a door. Each of them are launched in separate directions, slicing into any that get in their way. The cards disappear after travelling a good thirty yards.
Shield: Costs only 5MP. Two cards appear in front of Luxord to absorb the blows of oncoming attacks and spells, and can virtually withstand any spells with the exception of the Thunder spells that come from above. His back is left vulnerable and only an extreme amount of strength can penetrate them. However, the shield can only take on so much damage before being broken and leaving its protector vulnerable. (I'll be reasonable with that, promise.)
Hover: Costs 10 MP. One card, much larger than Luxord, serves as a hovercraft to get him around. Has no offensive value except as a mode of transportation, though attacks can be launched from it. Lasts for the remainder of the post.
Thunder Cards: Costs 15MP. Normal sized cards charged with electricity. Luxord's attacks are coordinated as usual, however the attack damage is more potent due to the electrical charge.
Endless Waves: Costs 40MP. Luxord launches "all 52 cards" randomly, capable of scratching, cutting, and even slicing through smaller enemies. Used usually as a last resort to resist a wave of enemies.
Trip: Costs 20 MP. Three cards are laid in front of the Gambler, just two or three inches from the ground. Each flies in the direction of the enemies, staying level to the ground and tripping any that are unfortunately enough to be hit, hence the name.
Passives: These include orientations of cards and such that cost no MP to employ, and serve as Luxord's predominant mode of attack. Also, things such as Glide and Dodge Roll (not necessarily those two) will be listed here.
Bat Wings: Two large cards, one in each hand, are used for attacking. The edges are as sharp as the blade of a sword, but are much lighter to handle.
The Deck. Luxord's deck of cards that holds an endless supply of cards. The Gambler simply launches these in small waves at enemies, doing minimal, normal damage. Nothing special. (Go play 358/2 and see for yourself, I'm finding it hard to explain.)
Air Dash: Using his dominion over time, Luxord speeds himself up for a split second, causing what most would simply call an air dash.
In Betwixt and Between: Luxord has the choice to travel through the darkness just the way any other Org. XIII member can.
Weapon/Items: The Deck, which is named "Fair Game." On the back of each card a mainly gray, patterned surface is decorated with a large, white, Nobody symbol. Their sizes and orientations vary as you've seen. On the front, each number is painted for an Organization XIII member. (ex: Xemnas is on the Ace, Luxord is on the Ten, Larxene is on the Queen, Roxas is on the King, etc.)
Luxord himself appears to be more human, more normal in appearance. No incredibly outstanding features, he is of decent height and physique. His hair is sandy blond, and will always be seen slicked back to avoid bangs. If you looked carefully, it is sort of "carefully messed up" as some would say. Sideburns run down the side of his cheeks and stop two or three inches down. A thick goatee always surrounds his oral area, and bright blue eyes contrast his bright blond hair to give an Aryan look to him.
This particular Organization member dresses the same way as everyone else in the group, except his coat is slightly altered. The same same black trench coat covers his entire body, but the sleeves are a bit wider, more open, and nobody knows why, though Luxord would tell you that he keep his tricks up there if you asked. The pant legs are the same way, flaring at the bottom and hiding his deep, black boots. On each hand is a black glove, and the same silver chain dangles at the neck.
Personality:
"Life, to him, is just a game...and he has all the time in the world to do it."
Luxord is certainly an interesting personality. At first glance, you'll see a rather game savvy, competitive spirit who could probably come across as laid-back and lazy. And all of those things are true, don't get me wrong, but there is just a bit more to him than that.
Of course, Nobodies don't have feelings. Luxord, instead of simply walking around like a zombie trying to kill Sora, has sort of remembered the way he was and simply mimicked it as a coping device. Therefore, as Ruold, he never took anything seriously. He never really felt remorse or regret, he was rather ruthless, but in a playful kind of manner. A pretty terrible soul commanded and pretty terrible mind.
Not only is he cold and destructive, but Luxord is far smarter than you'd think. Words come out of his mouth that you didn't even know existed in the dictionary. Putting that great mind to use, combined with street smarts that got him far enough in his human life, make him an excellent strategist. He's predictive and prepared for just about any possibility. Very analytical, though he'd never show it.
He's a respectful gentleman, otherwise. As a person, Luxord is likeable enough if you aren't on the other side of the blade, per say. His charming quips and "suave" personality (thanks Cade) make for a rather sophisticated man, and his accent really makes him seem all the more sophisticated. He has his own agenda, yes, but really, he makes it hard to tell. Luxord has a rather deceitful visage that makes him hard to read, like a perfected poker star. However, still under all of those gentlemanly ideals, he's gonna cut the throats and go all in when people get in the way of what he wants.
Loyalty is something that Luxord understands and respects. Xemnas, to him, is a good leader, and would never betray him the way his colleagues did in the past. And despite how ruthless he is towards enemies, friends are just as common. He likes to joke, even if he can't feel the happiness anymore, and will strike a conversation out of the goodness of his "heart." Or whatever.
Original World: The World That Never Was Current World: The World That Never Was
Movie/Video Game(s): Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts 358/2.
History:
I want to keep his existence before becoming a Nobody virtually non existent simply because if anybody were to actually, surprisingly want Ruold, well, I wouldn't want to run the way they play him.
"I'd rather we just skip the formalities."
Luxord, born from the destruction of his human form, was found and recruited by the Organization almost immediately. Seeing that the place was already very well established under Xemnas, he stuck around, and his loyalties to the group grew. Everything, in fact, was going just the way he'd hoped it would; he was going to be getting a heart again. That was, until Roxas came. I must say, things got better before they got worse.
Often times, when he wasn't sitting around in the Castle playing cards or strategizing, he was out assisting Roxas in Wonderland. In fact, he took quite a liking to the place -- it was interesting, cooky, and had a hell of a lot of cards in its dominion. During that time, when Roxas and Xion were collecting hearts, hope for Luxord soared. Until Roxas went rogue and Xion ceased to exist. By the time number XIII was gone, the Organization was down to seven members, none of whom were Keyblade wielders. Luxord, in fact, was getting desperate, and as the Organization expanded its horizons, so did the Gambler of Fate.
It was Port Royal that caught his eye. Port Royal, its treasures, and Sora/Roxas. More than anything did he want to get Roxas back so he could finally return to human form. So, he tried luring Sora in by cursing the chest. It worked, and the boy confronted him, but to no avail. The Heartless that Luxord conjured did nothing for him, and Sora again saved the day, his former Nobody nothing but a memory of Luxord's past.
Nothing was working, and time was running short. By the time he saw Sora again, only he, Saix, and Xemnas remained. It was time for one last hand. In a battle with Sora for the safety of his friends, Sora defeated Luxord, and the world faded to black.
And then he woke up, as if it were nothing but a dream. A newly reformed Luxord lay in the middle of a street in the World That Never Was, remembering the battle as if it was moments before even though it was actually months that passed. The Nobody vowed to return to the Organization and start a new hand. And when he returned, it was as if nothing had changed, but everything had. The pieces of the game were all put back into place, and their ideals and goals were simply picked back up again, tweaked, and prepared for the taking. Luxord planned to get that heart, no matter how many chips he needed to fork in.
Role Playing Sample:
Luxord was never one for doing the dirty work. Disarming and eliminating an enemy without touching them, speaking to them, even seeing them...well, it was impressive. So he sat, shuffling his charmed deck of razor sharp claws, each decorated with the cross symbolic of his species. A small smirk, which seemingly was eternally planted on his face, laid smitten there now as he continued the small dexterous movement of his gloved hands. The Grey Area was empty of all other forms of life, but not for long. Behind him he could hear the tapping of boots on the hard, bleached surface. Glancing over his shoulder, he caught a glimpse of what he thought to be Demyx, that imprudent dunce. Out of some form of distant glee, Luxord grinned and waved as his acquaintance passed, moving on to some other area of the immense castle, leaving the Gambler of Fate alone once more.
He stood, pushing the light-weighted chair out from under him with the backs of his knees. Raising a hand, the Corridor of Darkness appeared, swirling strips of purples and blacks forming an ovular passageway for his taking. Luxord gently pressed on through, sensing that his plans weren't going quite as planned. The Gamblers, those pathetic goons, hardly ever followed through when he needed them to. This was why he sent those like Roxas and Xion to do his bidding in the past -- they may not have had hearts, but at least they had brains. Almost scoffing, the rainy, muggy air of Port Royal met his bearded face tirelessly. Even now, after his "rebirth" as he'd called it, Port Royal had been his predominant place of domain. Raindrops pattered and plopped into his bed of tussled yet slicked blond hair, which had always been accented with lowlights, giving him a beach-y sort of look at times. Though rather normal, unlike the rest of the Organization, which was full of poofy-haired creeps, Luxord did not at all fit in. Somehow the Organization remained unnoticed by some of the civilians, but his black coat never fit in unless he was sitting in the World That Never Was, drinking a coffee and playing a quick round of solitaire.
He sniffed the air; something was off. It was a sort of sixth sense that the Gambler had picked up over the years, especially since he spent so much time at the grimy, gross Port. Amidst the germy, drunken pirates, Luxord slipped quickly by a fist fight or two. He smiled, heaving a pleasured sigh. What a beautiful sight to behold. Mankind fighting to destroy itself. As the crowd lightened, the Gambler of Fate dug into his pocket to find the familiar deck of cards as he approached a connective bridge. Below him raged a fight between a few Heartless and his Nobodies, and he frowned. Luxord snapped his fingers, and the Gamblers below stopped, backing away from the Neoshadows and Soldiers around them. Squinting his eyes, Luxord took advantage of the break in battle and thrust his hand forward. A card, at least twice his size and much wider, emerged from the rocky terrain, slicing into the bodies of his adversaries. He leapt over the edge, summoning another, slightly smaller card, which lowered him to the ground. He smirked.
The ravaging began.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? I figured it was time for another character! :3

I'm just gonna hop right into it, because I'm not really in a writing fluff mindset right naow. @.@
Nickname: That would be his title in the Org: The Gambler of Fate
The Stop spell family: remove the damage effect. The whole point of a Stop spell is to stop an foe, to either buy time, leave them open for an ally’s attack, or to heal in a tight spot. The spell never really does damage in the FF canon or KH canon. It just stops time for a short while. In short, just remove the fact that these spells do damage.
Weapon: Yes, I’m being nit-picky. D: But this is just a minor one. The deck you’re referring to is called “Fair Game”. xD
Personality: Something to keep in mind about Luxord: unlike most of the Org, he’s not a massive, massive douche bag. Inside maybe, but outwardly his a gentleman. He’s suave, he’s polite, and if he’s harboring dark ideas he makes damn sure his has his poker face on. Might want to adjust what you have to reflect this. @.@
History: Content wise it checks out, but it’s shy 30 words of the requested limit. I’m not counting the quote or the disclaimer in the count, because I consider them just not and not part of the history. I’m sure you can expand it by 30 words though. Not a huge problem.
Tha’s all I can think of that leapt out at me as issues. You RP sample looks good. Just fix up what I highlighted, polish it, and let me know when you’re good for another review.
LOL okay. So yeah, fixed the nickname. The whole nickname thing went right over my head xD
And yeah, the Stop thing has been altered as well, its been a while since I've actually used it so in game so I forgot and was too lazy to look it up xD Anyways, that has been fixed.
So has his personality. I knew exactly what you were saying, and mentally added that to his personality just for some odd reason didn't write it. Either way, he's been altered. Oh, and added to my pathetic excuse for a history xD
Hopefully everything checks out with the Mouse. :3
