In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The screen glowed as the play button was pressed; the black marquee started to move reading Traveling by Utada Hikaru. A brow arched at the unfamiliar name and equally unfamilar title.
Regardless, it somewhat fit her scenario; only minutes ago she was on her own world in the dim glows of the starry night during an election, but now she was ontop of train. The intense change of scenery and moving floor did gave her scare. The teleporting orb worked as it transported her in ripples on the train's roof. Instinctively she had clutched onto the train, while gazing at her new surrounding. Night had brightened a flowed away like blowing grains of sand to a beautiful shades of oranges, yellows, and pinks, sunset.
Looking back at her old world and her entry, Erika gave herself an oath, the first: she will look forward and not behind, but not forget where she came from. The lines sounded pretty good in her mind; in response, she smiled and turned up the volume, while her head started bob and swayed in rhythm.
What are you doing tonight? Let's go for a ride..
The train was moving a moderate smooth pace as a soft breeze brushed her back. Smiling Erika gazed in pure awe at the golden beaches. The ocean glittered orange and pink reflecting the endless sky. Sea gulls cawked softly with the distant waves. The way they glided in dips reminded her off ships as the flew across the ocean. The buildings looked nothing like home; looking at the world around, she would describe hers as owning an old tradition or just simply old. Everything look crisp, clean, and new. The bricked buildings were defined and stood up geometrically straight. Even the air smelled different. Unlike Malygopsa, the air was thick with smell of rain better yet the ocean; she never smelled the ocean or the thickness that was created by technology. It sent an adrenaline to venture more in this new world.
The song ended right when the train stopped at a station. Blue eyes blinked widely at the sudden halt. Leaning over and looking down, she saw people getting off; this might as well be her stop too, but there was one problem, the distance from the roof to the floor. Her lip darkened as she bit on it at the new difficulty. Unzipping her fanny pack, her fingers curled around the teleporting orb. Her body lightened as it feel as if the world was rushing past her like a whipping sand tornada; she reappeared off the train inside the station.Wearily, her eyes glanced around to see if anyone noticed, but she shrugged it off once the next song came on.
Tilting her head, she saw the marquee text change to, Im Gonna Fly by Sidney Forest. Liking the smooth sound of it, Erika put it on repeat, while skipping behind the others who left the train towards the exit. Her pistols bounced against her small hips in their holsters, while the bullets jingled together in her fanny. Taking her time, she tucked her hands in her pockets and strolled down the single road that everyone else seemed to be taking.
Her feet carried her to the Markert Street; something about this particular world amazed her. Pulling a headphone from here ear, she wanted to drink in the soft sounds of this place. Looking up she saw a streelight that had a sign with Twilight Town written on it.
How ironic it looks more like Sunset Sunnyville to me?
"Oh excuse me miss are you a tourist?" Erika turned her head to the source and saw a guy standing behind an icecream vender.
"Why yes I am. Now I'm sure you can give a little good hospitality to make this visit worthwhile."
"Like wise ma'am, today we are handing out icecream today." The gentlemen returned the smile Erika gave, while handing her white paper covered cold oject. "It's on the house."
"Why thank-you," the teen winked before walking away. Her eyes shifted wandering if anyone was watching her. Seeing the coast was clear, she focused on the cold object in her hand, while poking it with her finger. "Icecream?"
Pinching the paper, she accidentally ripped it only to see a beautiful bright blue. Ripping the wrappings off the present, Erika laid eyes on her first icecream. Turning the corner, the young woman started to inspect it with a small inhale.
"It smells cold and....intriguing." She pulled it closer for a sniff, but a blur caught her eye. A little boy with the similar object was looking at her oddly, while have it halfway in his mouth.
Greeeat first impression, wierd chick sniffing icecream, playing it off, Erika licked it, while casualling waving at the youth with wiggles of her fingers.
The Marketplace, as peopled called it, seemed a little bit more crowded then when she first went through the other day when she arrived in Twilight town. Well, more like appeared there but all the same, the girl was there and walking through the market area. Why- she had no idea. None of her pockets or pouches contained any money for this place. Her feet just happened to bring her to this bustling area... But for a good reason that was waiting to be shown. Her eyes looked around at all the people and buildings and they fell upon a man handing out little wrapped... somethings. Whatever it was, it was free as far as she knew. So she made her way over and watched people peel the wrappings off of the little gift. Popsicles? Oh Joy! Something sweet and cold.
The man happily handed her one of the little bundles of joy and she walked off a little ways to peel the paper down to the stick; a small smile slipped over her lips and she went to take the first lick to taste it, her eyes glancing up momentarily out of habit. And her tongue froze halfway to see a girl near her... smelling her blue treat. Ria raised an eyebrow in question. What in the world? The girl covered herself with licking the bar, but it was still odd. She looked down at her own Ice cream... as the guy called it. Guess it was Ice Cream on a stick rather than a Popsicle... "Never had one of these before?" she asked the wavy-haired girl.

Erika froze in mid-lick; her pink tongue stuck on the sea-salt bar, while blue eyes blinked at the interrigator. Before she decided to answer, Erika nipped the top of the icecream before swallowing it; it truly had a peculiar taste. How in the world they made icecream so salty.
"Well if you ask me, it's kind of weird to have a treat known to be sweet to taste like salt. Always check what you plan to put in your mouth. ""To answer you question," her brows furrowed, while dangling the ice cream bar for its stick, "I never had anything tasting so salty; it's like dipping this in the ocean, freeze, and sale it."
Seeing a droplet of the sea-salt icecream about to fall, Erika licked it. "So is asking questions you favorite past time? Hey, what is your name by the way? Saying hello ms. lady-who-I-don't-know-and-is-completely-anonymous would work my tongue more than this thing." She lifted the icecream for reference. "You know not sharing your name is a Ms. Manners no-no," she wiggled a finger with a chuckle.
"I'm gunslinger, Erika Monika," her arm stretched out with an open fingerless gloved hand, a protection against forming calluses from her pistols.
Right against her hips were proof, a pair of identical dual pistols, Elisa and Eleanor, Eleanor and Elisa. She planned to have the names engraved on them for she can always see and remember how meaningful they are to her. The pistols started to sway with her green skort as the song on her mp3 player was still playing in one headphone in her ear. The actual mp3 player was hidden in her fanny pack.
At first, Ria felt like her head had been bitten off. She certainly wasn't expected some of the remarks Erika had said and it threw off what the girl might have been trying to show... something other than being snappy. Quickly, she rethought over what Erika said and realized she wasn't being snappy, just comfortable- or that's what she thought.
Ria took her hand and shook it with a laugh. "No, it's only one favorite. The name's Ria. No title." she gave a toothy grin and chuckled. Yeah, she never got a title. But were she came from, she didn't need one. If people knew who you were, they knew what you could do and how good you were. If people didn't know who you were, you just weren't that good. "It's nice to meet you.. I think. I can't tell yet." She glanced down at her ice cream. "Sorry about not introducing myself first. Your little... display-" she motioned her ice cream bar at Erika "-was a little bit distracting i guess you could say."
Ria glanced back down at her ice cream again and licked up the melting liquid from it, taking the first taste. Her brow rose to the taste. It was really.... different. "I see why you did what you did..." She hesitated and then tested it out again. "What flavor is this?" a thought said out loud, but maybe she could answer- no... she'd never had this stuff before either. "I can't tell if i like it or not." Her green eyes looked up at Erika. "What do you think? It's sweet... but it's salty..." back down. "I think it's good..." she whispered before she took another lick. "Yeah..."

"No no, don't worry about that I was only toying with you," Erika chuckled, while watching her taste the icecream recieving a peculiar look. In agreement, the gunslinger nodded at the icecream bar's uniqueness. "They call it Sea-Salt icecream. With it's sweety salty taste, I say that we are experiencing an oxymoron on a stick, a once in a life-time experience." The gunslinger took another bite.
"You know it's so different than anything I ever tasted that I can't dislike it like this place, Twilight Town. With it's own distinctiveness, you can't help, but to accept what it is and enjoy what you can even if it is a hunk of sweety salts. Then again I like it that way; it's balanced."
Erika always had the tendency of keeping her taste buds balanced. Everytime she had anything sweet in her life she needed to have something salty to cancel out the excessive sweetness in her mouth and vice versa. The gunslinger shivered before grabbing her head. "Then again, there are some things you won't miss." Her brows started to wiggle like the ocean waves to cease the brain freeze. "Woo, now that's something new." Her eyes blinked. "Lesson of today never eat icecream to quickly, but sit back and enjoy it."
"I feel like playing a guessing game. Do you live around here? If so, I thought you would know about these tangy salty sweeties. Or are you like me," Erika's head craned up for a thought of a perfect word," traveling?"
"I like you already." she said, laughing. "You keep a conversation up pretty good... To soon to say?" she shrugged and licked her ice cream down some more. "I hate trying to think of things when things get quiet. I'm no good at that." She felt a little bit more at ease now since her company said she was only toying with her. And her demeanor relaxed her more, too.
"More like a questionnaire, but that's neat too. I like answering questions when I have the answers." again she laughed. "As you saw and guessed, this is my first time tasting this thing." she motioned her ice cream again and quickly licked a dripping stream before it got to the crumpled paper. "Never had one before. I'm actually from a different world. As someone told me once, it basically got destroyed and I was dropped here I guess and blabity-blah... Not the exact words of course." Ria added quickly. "But I'm sure you already know about that kinda stuff, right? Gawd this thing is messy. Can't eat it to slow nor to fast...." she glared down at her ice cream before cleaning it up some more. "So... does traveling around Twilight Town count? 'Cuz I think I'm stuck here... As far as I know."
Then it dawned on her. "Sudden realization. If I'm stuck here... then I have to live my days... here. Yeah, this place is nice. Don't get me wrong. But as far as I've seen, there isn't anything to do here. I've been here a couple of days and... I've just been wandering around... Maybe I'm just used used to the other 'lifestyle'..." Alright... now you're going off topic again. Sometimes she had a bad tendency to do that when something new comes up... Sometimes she wanted to know... But who doesn't? Before she went any further, she pepped back up and smiled. "Right! So, next question."

Erika’s brows dipped sadly together at her answer. She was practically stuck here after an event from home. The saddened part of this tale is that Twilight Town isn’t satisfying. Once one gets past the nice sunsets, soft beaches, and peacefulness, there’s nothing here. In conclusion, whatever is Ria’s destiny; it isn’t in Twilight Town. It bothers Erika more, because that’s exactly why she left her home, to find her destiny, and on her first day she met one who’s stuck in a path that doesn’t have the answer for hers. It seems like Erika’s destiny pulled her to Ria. For a bonus, she’s a nice girl, who can use a good adventure or some blast versus.
“Alright another question, if you can leave this place would you and are there any others like you, who are stuck here with no way out just living without actually living?” Erika would gather as many people to ensure that they won’t be like this. No one ever deserves to be a coach potatoes with no way out.
Max walked along the street of the town, his war pike held in his left hand, spearhead pointing toward the ground. There didn't seem to be anything dangerous here, so he didn't think he'd need it. He walked along, passing through crowds that have him a slightly wife berth, warily eyeing the large weapon in his hand.
Geez people. Never seen a guy with a spear before? he thought to himself. Then he realized that this place had probably not seen anywhere near as much violence and war as his home. The denizens of his world had become accustomed and hardened to war and its hardships, since the Kingdom of Strife had always been at war for as long as anyone could remember.
But,0a place like this? It seemed way too peaceful to be anywhere close to comparable to his own world.
As he walked along, he came upon what seemed to be a marketplace, filled with people thronging its walkways and a long line of people standing in front of a cart. He saw the man at the cart handing out small white packages to the people, apparently for free.
"Free is the magic word," Max said to himself as he moved to the back of the line.
As he tood there, the man in front of him turned and, noticing the spear in Max's hand, looked at him in fear.
"Don't worry," Max said,"This isn't for use on people."
The other man just gave Max a weird look and turned back in line, staring forward.
The line slowly shortened, moving Max up to the cart slowly but surely. Eventually it was his turn to receive the package, and as he took it's stick in his hand and thanked the man and turned away, walking off through the crowd, settling on a bench near a couple of girls nearby and set his warpike off to the side, leaning it against the wall behind him and unwrapped his package.
"Goodie goodie," he said excitedly when he saw it was icecream,"I haven't had icecream in ages!"
With a silly grin on his face, Max began to happily eat away at his icecream.
For a moment, Ria had to think about the question. She hadn't thought about actually leaving this place only but moments ago. This place was peaceful and so far quiet except for that one incident when she first arrived. But that was even just one creature and Fearon had taken care of it with one hit... This place wouldn't be that bad. There wouldn't be any guilds to fight against and there wouldn't be any hate... or would there? She hadn't even explored this place all the way through yet. Twilight Town might end up just like her world and become destroyed. So... "To be honest, I really don't know. I mean..." she stopped herself before she continued. The girl didn't know what she was even trying to say. "...Jeez! I haven't had to think this much since that last day we ambushed the Red Talons!" Ria pressed her hand over her face and muttered "Why didn't I think about this stuff in the days I was by myself here...?"
She removed her hand from her face and looked back up at Erika. "I don't.. I don't know what my path is. At first, I didn't even know about there being other world's out there. Sure, it was a possibility, but we were all focused on our tasks. And heck! Now that I'm here- another planet, maybe there's a big reason behind all of this? I don't know. Maybe I'm thinking to big and I am stuck here, and you're just metaphorically speaking on leaving." she shrugged. "Y'know what? Yes. If I could leave and help do whatever needs my help. But If I'm just going to a big mess that couldn't be stopped- Probably not... For all I know, there might be a reason I'm here..."
Ria rolled her eyes, realizing what she did. "And I'm rambling again. Sorry. I 'm not used to talking like this. As for those other people... The people I met, as far as I know...." Her eyes squinted and looked off to the side at a guy with a spear sitting down on a bench as she tried to recall what they had said, why they were there and how they got there. Then her expression dropped. "I thought they were referring to being from another town or continent... But I think they left. Because they could." she looked at her ice cream and tossed it into the nearest trash can. It had melted to pieces while she rambled on. Then she chuckled and pointed at the guy she watched sit down. "Heck, for all we know, he's probably stuck in the same boat as u- Well, I guess just me. He's got a weapon, just like the both of us!"
((I'm... sorry for the uber long post XD I got carried away X3; ))

Erika nearly felt guilty for throwing that question out there. Ria looked somewhat distressed in trying to answer it. For Erika, that question would seem like one of the inevitable that one would ask themselves if they were in an entire new environment. Watching Ria think and nearly sweat about it, the gunslinger mentally concluded in her mind that she’s bringing Ria with her away from Twilight Town on a brand new path towards something, destiny perhaps. The world is full of opportunities and adventures far more than one can see by gazing out their windows. Erika’s opportunity started all the way back when her sister took her outside the palace walls by a teleporting orb. Ever since, Erika has used it for distant travel. If Erika was never adopted, never met Elissa, never had a sister like Elissa, never was in a prophecy of the fall of a hierarchy, and never had a iron-fisted paranoid step-mother, who was an old friend to her birth mother, a maid who the king’s concubine or love in secret, she wouldn’t have that open window that would lead her to another world. She wouldn’t be eating a salty sweety next to Ria now.
“Hey, don’t blame yourself. When you are somewhere so peaceful, I can see how would get lost in it all. I probably wouldn’t have asked myself that either unless I was becoming quite restless here.” Erika tried to reassure Ria as she questioned herself. “Sometimes some places can show you what you may or may not want in the long run to guide you towards a different direction, a path. Possibly asking that question started paving your route now.”
Erika’s voice went silent when the young woman looked up at her. She continued stating how she doesn’t know what her path is. Everyone hardly does; that’s the beauty and mystery of it, one doesn’t know until something points the way whether it’s drastically, metaphorically, etc. “No you’re not thinking to big. I found out now once landing here, you’ll have to widen your thoughts, imaginations, and dreams to see the bigger picture. Honestly, this place wasn’t in there. Plus I’m always one to mean what I say and say what I mean.” Erika replied before chuckling, “And you’re not rambling, you are just expressing. There’s a define difference.”
Listening to Ria, Erika was snapped out of it hearing a cheer, "Goodie goodie, I haven't had icecream in ages!"
“The difference is that…we didn’t cheer for ice-cream. Someone over there sounds like a happy camper.” The gunslinger acknowledged the other.
Erika was right with what she was saying and it was helping Ria open her mind to different things that she would have never thought about or had the chance to while living on her other world. Things were pretty much planned out for her with Joey and the Guild and her Dad wasn't really home. Just off doing his job as a full-time truck driver- So, maybe here after she was restless, like Erika said, she would have thought about such things... Thus, things were pretty much on a clean slate and she could do nearly anything now. Ria nodded with a smile as she listened. 'A new slate... A whole new book.'
And now, beautiful scenery, peaceful surroundings... or not, she could think as much as she wanted and explore until she knew this place like the back of her hand. Unless, something better came across of course... Which half of her kind of hoped. Who knew how 'big' things could get. But what the girl did know was... she didn't want everything that she could come up with to be out there. That would go under the category of 'a big mess that can't be stopped'. Though, maybe that wouldn't be so bad either. An adventure wouldn't hurt. Sitting around thinking would get boring after a while. Thinking on a trip or journey would be neat. Inside she shook the thoughts away. All silly thoughts. They wouldn't get her any were right now. Ria decided to go about that matter later when she had the time. Right now, she had a new friend on her hands and possibly another. Mentally she shrugged. Who knew. Right now was right now, and later was later. 'Boy am I a mixed up individual... '
“The difference is that…we didn’t cheer for ice-cream. Someone over there sounds like a happy camper.” The gunslinger acknowledged the other.
"Well, maybe not out loud. I was certainly happy to have a cold treat. Though... at the time, I thought it was a Popsicle." Ria giggled. "He must be. It's something I wouldn't expect to hear out of a guy totin' around a spear, y'know?" she said looking back at Erika to get her opinion.
Max raised an eyebrow as he heard the girls nearby still talking about him. Taking another bite out of his icecream, he got up, grabbing his warpike with his left hand and walked over next to them, tossing the empty stick into a trash can nearby.
"Sorry if my big pointy stick scares you," he said with a small chuckle, nodding his head toward his pike to indicate that's what he was talking about,"but, I can assure you I mean nobody harm. I just never go anywhere without it. Its....a quirk I got from growing up where I did."
He gave a small friendly smile and held out his hand for the first to take it.
"But, anyway, let me introduce myself: my name is Maxwell. I'm a bit of a wanderer and kind of new here. Ilm searching for information. Would either of you know of a library or something?"
He didn't want to say anything about being from another world. People might think he was crazy. No.....the best option right now was to find out where to get information.

"Just don't go swingy your big pointy stick around and we'll be just fine," Erika replied before licking up her melting icecream that trailed to her wrist, "Yay, we're doing introductions again. I'm Erika and this is Ria. If I knew this place like the back of my hand, I would direct you to a library, but unfortunately I just arrived so I'm not much of help." The gunslinger shrugged.
"Hey Ria, you've been here longer than the both of us divided by three. Is there such a place here?" Erika poked the girl's shoulder. Taking another bite of her icecream, the gunslinger cringe at the next brain freeze.
"Ah come on this is definately getting old," she exclaimed after grabbing her head. The reaction was so quick that she lost her grip of her icecream, which landed on her chest. With a squeal, Erika grabbed the dripping icecream bar. "Curses, I will be right back, but without this sticky situation."
Excusing herself, Erika rose to her feet and jogged to a close-by garabage can dropping the messy treat inside. The evidence on her chest was one thing she won't miss about icecream. Ungloved fingers pinched her shirt to seperate the wet cold fabric from her skin, while walking up to a sweet old lady, who was organizing her flowers in a basket.
"Excuse me miss do you know where the closes bathroom is?" It seems fate was so cruel to her, because the elderly pointed towards the train station.
Great a hell of a long walk with a pale blue blob on me.. Looking back she glanced at Ria and Max, It shouldn't take too long..
Deciding jogging was better than walking, Erika quickly went up the long road towards the train station and turned quickly pass the door with a human figure where a dress.
Oh how stereotypical..
After a few minutes of scrubbing, the pale blue spot was lightened nearly matching the swirl designs on her shirt. Erika was busy drying her shirt off with a rough paper that she saw other use to dry their hands. A sigh emitted from her lips once spotting the ocean once she was outside the station. It was wide and endless.
Elissa you would love to see this...It's nothing like the garden back at home. Even so, I still miss it. Mentally she was describing the lush green plants that scattered around with bloom isises. There were small shallow pools which attracted frogs and heron. The most favored spot there was underneath a willow tree.
Caught up in memory lane with a silent wish to see that place one more time, she didn't notice the prominent glow of the teleporting orb activating. She didn't notice until she felt a familiar chill before the world rushed by her.
"What in the world-" Wiggling in her fanny pack, she grabbed the one thing that could've caused it, the teleporting orb. "Oh no"
Ria waved her hand in the air to excuse what he said. She didn't even think about it being scary or dangerous and by the time she thought about it even being a threat, he had proved that he wasn't one to be taken as the scary type. Not here in this situation anyway. Every person she met so far was nice and had no aggressive behavior whatsoever. Now, she was just easy going around here. Hope that doesn't turn out being a mistake...
She shook his hand and then let Erika talk to the guy, standing quietly until Erika threw a question at her. "Wha-? Well, I dunno. I've really only been here a couple of days. Haven't payed to much attention to that kinda stuff." she answered and then shrugged before continuing. "Never was to much of a reader... I mean, I can read but I just don't read. Y'know?" For a second, she paused. "More than for sure, shop keepers and residents would know. Better luck with them... Sorry." She shrugged and scratched her head.
Looking over just in time for the squeal, she just barely caught the ice cream falling flat on Erika's chest.. "Oh jeez...." Was all she could say to the event. It really was bad luck for that to happen... Ria nodded as she excused herself, asking her not to take to long. She watched her walked over to an old woman. Erika asked her something and the lady replied with a point to the train station. So, that was great... Now her and Max were left alone in the market for a bit. Probably longer than was originally planned. It wouldn't be that bad though. She thought to herself to calm her. 'But that dread of having that awkward situation come up... Just don't try so hard to prevent it. Things will run smoother.' She turned back to the young man beside her. "Um... So...." again she paused for a second, though this time, trying to think of something. "Oh! Right, My name's Ria just like Erika said. It's nice to meet you too." For confirmation, she gave him a warm smile. "So... My I ask what information you're looking for...? Or You would rather not tell me? It's understandable if you don't. Just a question." she shrugged and glanced off to the side before looking back at him for his answer.
Max let out a small laugh as Erika droped her ice cream on her chest and excused herself to go wash it off.
"Take your time," he said, chuckling a little as he said it at the same time as Ria, and mouthed an apology at her. "I'm just not in any kind of hurry here," he said, still laughing quietly. After a few moments, his laughingg died down, leaving him and Ria standing there in an awkward silence as Erika looked for a place to clean herself off.
Max stood there trying to find something to say to break the awkward silence, and was about to speak when Ria spoke up first, asking him just what kind of information he was looking for. As she finished asking him the question, a spike of apprehension shot through him at the idea of telling her just what he was looking to find out, and why. But, he could at least explain half of what he was looking for.
"Well, you see.....I'm trying to find a way to destroy a large number of heartless at one time," he said,"I'm wandering because I'm trying to find my way back home to help save it.......because they're getting flooded by heartless. It's been happening for over three years now."
He gave Ria an equally warm smile back as he spoke, shrugging.
"But, we're used to fighting, at least," he said,"Just....not for the survival of the world."
