In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The lush gardens of Disney Castle was dwindling. The leaves were changing loosing its soft greeness into crinkling hues of red, yellow, orange, and browns. This made the days shorters and the nights longer than the norm. Minnie sat in her garden with her bow strapped to her back.
It became a ritual to do a nightly stroll throughout the town to make sure everyone was inside safe and to eliminate any stray heartless that roamed before nightfall can over take the castle. Her and her guards would illuminate the town with flash of light ridding of the heartless.
This kept the Rodent Queen on her toes, but she surely missed the luxury of having the comforting warmth of the Cornerstone of Light resting in the castle's basement. She won't complain or let herself grow weary or weak; there were others who didn't have such protection and depended on the community to keep everyone safe and sound.
Looking out she watched the sun began to dip down basking the sky in a quick dusk. The enriching solid golds made autumn more surreal with its colors, but she knew the sight wouldn't last forever. Regardless, one can always take advantage of the view before the assigned Royal Guards of the day arrive for their daily patrol.
"I wonder where he is."
Anyone would know that she referred to Mickey. Yet again days floated by without any meeting, visit, or letter. She haven't even seen a tail or heard a bark from Pluto. Brows dipped softly with uncertainty as her heels clicked together, while she sat on a wooden bench.
"Maybe another time...just not tonight," the Queen couldn't risk distracting herself with personal thoughts when there was a world to look after, her world.
To be frank about this, Mikhail wasn't exactly looking forward to pay another visit to the great Castle of Disney. In the past, he had been welcomed by deadly enemies wishing to kill him and take his precious beating heart as the winning wage time after time. Those surely weren't sweet and cherished memories, so the pyromancer was quite... reluctant to come back and see what other wonders the castle could offer him.
Even though the ship's AI, Eve, had let him know about some sort of Gummi Garage down at the world, Mikhail didn't think it would be a proper thing to randomly land with a rather big Gummi Ship and practically storm into the castle. Using the teleporter safely installed in his Gummi Ship, a small and bright portal would emerge somewhere in the gardens of the royal house. Out of the portal walked a rather tall young man, quite surprised at the... beauty that surrounded him. The gardens were actually gardens now, as if Marluxia had never been there to harm them with his dreadful emptiness. The pyromancer softly caressed a nearby rosebush, careful enough to avoid its thorns.
It was true.
Disney Castle was being restored.
Now now, the man hadn't gone there just to pick a few flowers from the gardens. The wolven knight, Sir Lucas, had shared valuable information with him concerning his ties with what seemed to be the new ruler of the world: a "Queen Minnie". Apparently she had recently returned to claim what was rightfully hers and wished to put a stop to the Heartless invasion in her kingdom. If this woman was really fighting against them... fighting to push the darkness back... there was a chance of forging an alliance between The Guardians and Disney Castle.
He couldn't let this opportunity slip away.
Walking away from the now disappearing portal, Mikhail wandered around the gardens, looking for one of the castle's guards to possibly get an audience with the Queen. However, as he probably should have expected, he was welcomed with a pair of Bolt Towers and a trio of Soldiers, all wanting to get that little heart of his between their fangs.
Fascinating.
Drawing both his blades before adopting a simple defensive stance, Rutherford waited for the enemy to strike first. He had never met the tall red ones so it would be best to analyze them versus directly launching himself against them in a foolish beserk while he knew nothing about them.

-Royal Garden-
The clanky sounds of armory made round black disks twitched; looking back the queen saw four prepared Royal Guards wiedling their weaponry of choice in hand awaiting for then Queen's next orders.
"All is present for you your magesty, except one, Maximillion." Minnie shooked her head in amusement at the report; it wasn't surprising Goofy's son was the last to emerge, but it stroke a match in her head to keep a close eye on him. Of-course she cares for her kingdom, but Max is like family to her, and she doesn't want him to have a horrible experience of his first patrol. Still she couldn't resist feeling proud of him; she knew Goofy would.
Still Minnie had a world to look over and the sun was falling fast, "You stay here and wait for him; we'll start scouting through the town and you quickly join us when he's with you. Night is coming quickly."
With a yes ma'am and a bow, one royal guard stayed behind, while watching the rest march out of the gardens into Disney Town all unaware of a hovering Gummi Ship readying to deposite a visitor. Minnie and her crew marched out of site out side the Castle's gate leaving a Royal Guard behind to recieve Max.
Man what could be taking him so long The guard's eye rolled with his thoughts in annoyance, but it feel with scampering metal clangy.
"Am I late? Am I late? Am I late?!" Max running out breath shouted heavily. He was in armory slightly to big unless they weren't firmly strapped on him. His helmet fell over his face.
"Yes Max you're late, and a mess," clicking his tonge, the Royal Guard walked over and pulled up the helmet only to be hit with a cloud of exhaling vapor. Oh MY!
"Oh maan oh man oh maaan, is she angry?" His voice squivered with uncertainty, while his brows peaked up into a puppy face.
"Queen Minnie," the Royal Guard arched a brow in disbelief, "of-course not, but she wiiiill be worried if we don't join up with her. Come here let me help you out."
In the gardens, the Royal Guard Horace Horsecollar was tightening up little Max in his gear who was beginning to look more in doubt than ever. "I am such a goof."
"Well you are the Goof's son, but no your not a goof bafoon juuust a Royal Gaurd Trainee. Now there everything is tiiight and spiff-"
Did they hear footsteps?
Max looking to and fro in a tense stance, "Didja hear that?"
"Mmhm," Horace grumpled while firmly gripping his spear. "Follow close behind me Max."
Creeping around a bush statue of a trumpeting pig, Horace's tilted his head like a curious weasle before jumping a bit at the sight before him. "There'sa heartless."
"Uuuh how many?" Max piped in a whisper.
"One I mean, Two, uuuh Four. There's them two Bolt Towers and abooout three Soldiers."
What the Yeti? Max counted his large gloved fingers, "That's FIVE!"
"Sssssssh," Horace hushed, "on a count a three we'll get 'em...start with the bolt towers first. They'll be a pain leaving them last; they'll just keep hittin you like bonkers."
Max nodded holding his spear firmly.
"Attaaack!"
Jumping into view an armored Horse and an armored Pup began jabbing a Bolt tower in its round head. Max's ear twitched hearing clangy behind him. Looking back he saw the other Bolt Tower spinning to move towards elsewhere. Hey is that a soldier as well?
"Watch Oooout! Don't Let it Hit You!!!" On cue he can see the Bolt Tower Arc itself high preparing a slam.
Jack paced within Mikhail's ship, wondering when he would be back from speaking with this person. He said it wouldn't be long, but Jack really wanted to know what was going on within the Guardians so he could be a big part of it. Not a leader, but at least a trusted member. And what was a better way of proving yourself trustworthy than secretly going against the leader's wishes and accompanying them?
Jack walked over to the device that Mikhail had used to go onto the world. It was simple- a computer and a red button. His superior had used the red button to go, so Jack decided to try it. Besides, who could it hurt? Jack stepped into the designated area and lightly pressed the red button.
That was all that the device needed, as it immediately engulfed Jack in light, and he suddenly had no sense of direction. After a second or two, he saw into what looked like a garden. He tentatively took a step forward out of the light, and found that he was actually in a garden. Interesting. Looking back, he saw that the portal he had used dimmed and slowly faded to nothing.
Jack turned back around and headed in what he assumed to be the direction of Mikhail. After a few seconds, he saw Mikhail not far ahead, weapons out. Worried, Jack drew his own sword and approached Mikhail to the side, seeing two tall, red Heartless and three of the Soldiers he knew all too well.
He was about to speak to Mikhail when two... armoured animals burst onto the scene, and start attacking the Heartless. They were pretty decent, too, despite the fact that they were an anthropomorphic horse and dog. Jack watched, curious about their fighting abilities. After a moment, he also jumped in, slashing at one of the Soldiers, and noticed that one of the tall, red Heartless was about to slam into the ground, possibly to create a shockwave or something. Judging by the distance, it was quite possible.
Jack jumped forward, grabbing the dog and pulling him out of the way, and trying to hit the tower-like creature, but finding that the back of it was not vulnerable. The creature slammed down onto the ground, and Jack desperately leaped back to avoid the shockwave, biting his lip out of nervousness.
Mikhail had locked his sight on one of the tall ones as he tried to get all the possible information about it. Lucifer's unholy pentagon wouldn't take much longer to strike and he needed to make a strategy now. However, just before he decided to use fire against the group a pretty strange duo leaped out of nowhere, intending to fight the Heartless as well. They seemed to be animals, anthropomorphic to be precise, both dressed in full armor and wielding spears as their weapons.
He blinked twice, wondering if his eyes had deceived him for a moment. Nope, the duo was still there and they kept poking the red tower with their weapons. Tightening the grip on his swords, the pyromancer was ready to jump into the fight and aid the royal knights... but Jack, apparently having a sudden adrenaline rush, was the first to move and aid the kind warriors. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he turned to look at the boy; he would deal with his actions later but for now Mikhaiil would let him fight his own battle.
Besides, that Bolt Tower had taken some interest on him.
Summoning his trusted element around himself, Rutherford's eyes locked on the floating Heartless that desired his heart. The flames had only failed him once and it had all happened at Disney Castle. The man wasn't willing to let history repeat itself and that Bolt Tower would have to pay the price.
Jumping right up in the air, he focused his energy flow on his wide open palm and created a small orb of darkness around it. Mikhail sent the flames below him right through the Heartless as he launched the gravity spell toward it simultaneously. Of course, Mikhail knew that surely wouldn't be enough to destroy the red tower so he called the flames back as soon as he landed on the ground. Not wasting another second he charged at the Bolt Tower, being surrounding by his trusty flames just before he delivered a short and speedy combo on its emblem.
Damn, that last attack hadn't damaged it at all.
Panting as he stared at his opponent, Mikhail noticed that this one was doing the same as its brother when it raised its body up in the air. It was quick to strike the ground and the resulting shockwave perfectly hit its target. Rutherford winced, feeling the paralyzing pain as he gritted his teeth and attempted to ignore the damage. However he was quick to stand up, not minding his protesting muscles. There was no time to rest; he needed to take care of that Heartless.

Horace turned his head to see who Max was talking to. His eyes widened; there were humans in Disney Castle. What for? One of them began to run towards them and moved Max out of the way. Looking back up, he could see the Bolt Tower arching back; with his hooves, Horace moved as fast as he whacking any soldier that got in his way.
"Ugh," Max grunted once getting his footing after the abrupt push. He shook his hand at the tight grip and turned around to check on Horace. The Bolt Tower slam radiated throughout the floor, which gave Horace a boost to hit the floor. "Horace!"
Scampering off of the floor Horace move quickly knowing that Bolt Towers won't hesitate to attack twice. Picking up his stray spear, Horace hollered reassurance with Max of his well-being. Getting away from one Bolt Tower led him to another. It was spinning towards the other hume who panted heavily. Seeing his stance and winces, Horace assumed he just took a blow. "Hit it on the heeead!"
The tip of the Bolt Tower began to buzz with thunder magic as its head darted out for a strike. With gasp, Horace galloped faster to aid Mikhail leaving Max with Jack with the remaining Bolt Tower.
"A-a-alright...w-we have to go for the head, but must watch out for it slams," Max looked over at Jack. "Hey you want to go for the right, and I go for the left?"
Feeling something staring at them, Max turned his head to see Soldiers wobbling to them. He blinked at the new predicament. Gripping his spear tightly, Max pointed it out ready to strike; "Maaaybe when should get rid of them first."
Meanwhile in Disney Town,
-Disney Town-
"Queen Minnie...Queen Minnie..."
The Queen shook herself out of her days. Her eyes kept looking back at her castle, but more towards the Royal Garden. Her brows knitted together in worry. "Oh, I apologize; they just haven't came back yet."
"Horace and Maximillion," the guard completed the rest of her sentence knowing who she was talking about. "Don't worry about those two mi'lady. They will join with us, and Max is with Horace so if they have any troubles on their way; they'll be fine."
Queen Minnie nodded firmly, "Yes, and this town needs us now. Everyone pair off and start the patrol. You two take the east, and you two cut through the town."
Jack eyed the closest Heartless, wondering which was going to attack him next. He was just about to randomly swing when the dog, Max, told him about the vulnerable point. At his suggestion of a plan, Jack figured that he had no choice but to go for it.
He was about to proceed when he noticed the Soldiers. He lashed out at one of them, doing a good amount of damage before finishing the job with a "Thunder!" A yellow bolt of lightning was hurled from the tip of his steel sword at the Soldier, shocking it until it disintegrated. Jack turned his attention to another, but Max was decently holding it off.
As soon as the second Soldier was done, Jack asked Max, in reference to his plan, "You ready?" Jack glanced at Mikhail and the cow Horace to see how they were holding up. They were doing well- two seemingly experienced fighters together, and what looked like a beginner and the semi-trained Jack. That math wasn't hard.
By the time the Bolt Tower begun planning its next attack, Rutherford had fortunately recovered some of his energy. Of course, while it wouldn't be enough to create a great combo similar to his previous move, at least he'd be able deal some damage. The creature's antenna suddenly started to glow and when it began to spark with electric energy Mikhail realized another of its thunder attacks was coming. Quickly storing his blades on their respective scabbards, the man managed to dodge the lightning by cartwheeling to his right. He quickly stood up and positioned himself behind the Heartless...
"Hit it on the heeead!"
Mikhail looked around, realizing that the anthropomorphic horse fortunately had come to aid him in fighting the red one. The man figured that it would be best to follow its advice as the horse, being a royal guard, was probably an expert on those kinds of Heartless.
By the time Rutherford's mind had returned to the battle, his opponent had turned around to face him and, this time, it was preparing a physical attack. Quickly drawing out Flame's End he managed to deflect the launching head back at its body, dealing some minor damage to it as well as interrupting the electric attack it had been preparing. Deciding to take advantage of the Heartless's short confusion, Mikhail dashed forward once more and drew out his second blade just before launching another combo at the enemy. This time, however, his only target was the head.
The pyromancer immediately jumped back after the attack, hopefully giving his ally a chance to harm the Bolt Tower even further. Glancing back at the other duo, his eyes met his protegé's as he noticed they were handling a couple of Heartless on their own. Mikhail offered Styx an encouraging grin before turning back at the Bolt Tower, wondering if it still remained standing.

"Haa!" Max growled once piercing the soldier that stood in his way penetrating through its body and kicking it off his spear before it wiggled away into the darkness for refuge. Max made sure to injure it enough for it won't come back so quickly. After all a heartless never truly leaves unless it meets its end by the end of the keyblade. Still being intimidating will stop some from attempting any time too soon, especially when the hearts they wanted were too stubborn to float away to them willingly.
All of the movement was causing sweat to collect in his armory causing him to sigh in relief that the soilders were gone and wiped sweat off of his brows. Despite the heat by his clothing, the approaching night's coolness always chilled hom down. Thinking of the time of day made his eye widened, he was suppossed to be patrolling with the Queen; he and Horace were horribly late. Who knew what was going on with two less guards to assist the whole. Max couldn't let his delay prolonge too long, and he had a feeling Horace was thinking the same.
Regardless, he had to rid of these heartless and inspect the newcomers to the world. Hearing Jack's question he nodded and began charging towards the left side of the heartless, while readying his spear to puncture it.
Horace was relieved that the warrior had deflected the attack smoothly to counter-attack it. With his stride, he continued galloping deciding to use his speed as an advantage to ram his spear into the heartless' head. Seeing his opening after the warrior stepped back, he hoised the weaponry and charged at it. The hit caused the heartless to spin with the additional injury. Writhing like a worm on a hook, it squirmed towards a dark portal to retreat to the realm of darkness.
"Yay!" Horace cheered and turned around to see Max and another Hume put up with the last of the heartless. He chuckled at the pup's face of determination. Yes, the Goof would be quite proud.
Jack and Max were successful and did quite a bit of damage to the creature, what with both of them at once. The creature was injured badly, but not quite enough to retreat yet. It floated back to regroup, but Jack followed it and coldy stabbed it once more in the head, impaling it. The last Heartless retreated into a dark portal.
Jack breathed out deeply, and sheathed his sword. He examined the animals. Interesting enough, they were good fighters, and Jack wouldn't mind one of them having his back. There were things to do, but he was glad he had these guys on his side.
First, Jack addressed Mikhail. "Sorry for following, but I'm sort of impatient... obviously. Good thing I was here in time for this, else who knows what could've happened?" he tried. He then turned to his ally of the recent battle. "But, uh, hi.Thanks for having my back. I'm Jack Styx," he said, extending his hand for Max to shake.
Delighted by the Bolt Tower's retreat, Mikhail sighed deciding it would safe enough to cast a cure spell on himself by now. The magic's green aura would soon surround the pyromancer and it would not only restore some of his wasted energy, it also gave his shocked muscles some relief. The man would remain silent, observing his new allies until the fellow hume decided to address him. He simply shook his head, letting out a single chuckle before cutting him mid-way through the apology.
"There was no harm done this time so there is no need for an apology. But we do need to work on that patience of yours." Rutherford turned to the guards before him, thankfully nodding before speaking once again. "You two have my thanks, if you had just ignored us and passed by we probably would still be fighting the Heartless. Your aid proved to be extremely helpful in this battle."
A big grin graced his features as he glanced around once again, having forgotten the purpose of this visit for a moment. Right, he had to find the Queen. These anthro duo could sure be helpful regarding her whereabouts, after all they seemed to be part of her royal knights. A soft sigh escaped his lips while his mind tried to find the right way to ask for their help.
"I am Mikhail Rutherford, from the now deceased world of Elona. I have come to see your Queen, Minnie Mouse, and request her aid in the upcoming conflict." There was no need to use his alias anymore, and he actually didn't mind having Jack knowing his true last name. After all, sincerety was at the bottom of the alliance piramid.

Horace blinked at the shimmer of green light, cure. He scratched his chin at the magic; it was quite resourceful. Perhaps he should dabble into some magic such as the healing alignment for when these intense measures occur there will be a buffer by his side. It made him sigh though; no such thing was needed when the Cornerstone of Light was around. If only he knew where it was...if only ANYONE here knew where it was. Such secret was who knows where by now.
Reaching out to shake Jack's hand into his thickly gloved ones, "Maxillimion Goof, but just call me Max."
Feeling a weight on shoulder delivered by the pat on the back, Max chuckled and pointed, "And this is Horace Horsecollar. We're both glad you two dropped by when you did or we would still be working on those two."
"I am Mikhail Rutherford, from the now deceased world of Elona. I have come to see your Queen, Minnie Mouse, and request her aid in the upcoming conflict."
"Oh no!" Max facepalmed, "we were supposed to be scouting with Her Majesty as we speak, but we were held up by the heartless. Hopefully that didn't uneven the numbers at the patrol. Oh maaan oh man oh man, what if there was a heartless attack."
"Now now now, there's no time to panic; the more you panic the less you can think clearly." Horace started before instructing, "now let's use our noggins by joining with the rest of the guards and Queen Minnie. Also if us four were able to hold up the heartless, then I know for sure that the Queen and the Royal Guards can hold up their own too."
Max nodded, while chuckling bashfully at his unneeded anxiety, "Y-yeah you're right. Guess I'm still wet behind the ears, so...let's go. You guys are coming?
Jack nodded submissively to Mikhail. He knew he had little patience, but what could he do about it? Practice being patient? Jack figured that there were more things to worry about than becoming patient. At least, to Jack. These trivial things could wait. He daren't say anything, since he'd hate to be demoted from a new recruit. Was that even possible?
Naturally Jack was quiet while Mikhail spoke. If he remembered anything from his time back home, it was that he was better off not trying to act as though he had a higher rank. It never went off well, as Isabelle, his sister, taught him well. His lips were sealed, only nodding if Max or Horace looked at him.
When asked whether they were coming, Jack shrugged and nodded. As they walked, he got suddenly nervous. He never met royalty before, especially not any of such high prestige, as this Queen Minnie Mouse seemed to be. He smoothed down his hair and straightened his clothing, worried about his first impression.
Noticing the young apprentice's expression following the man's comments, Mikhail's heart sank. If there was one thing he'd hate to become it'll certainly be a tyrant. In fact, he didn't think he was a good leader himself, but he didn't have much of a choice for the time being. The pyromancer was apparently one of the last beacons of light and hope, intending to make a change, save all that he could and, if possible, heal the universe from the wounds that had been and were being created.
His mind would soon go and concentrate on the other two instead, finding it rather hard to... accept the younger knight's name. Though he prefered to hide it from everyone else, the scars left by his friend's death still continued to sting and hurt. He had learned to control his emotions and forget about it at times; such scars could be a weakness but there wasn't much he could do.
Mikhail simply nodded when asked to tag along, silently agreeing before he followed the guards. There were more important things to worry about than his own sorrows at the moment, one of them being meeting Queen Minnie Mouse.
On their way out of the Gardens and into the town, Mikhail caught a glance of a slightly uncomfortable Jack. A soft chuckle escaped his lips, slowing his pace for him to catch up before patting the younger boy in the back. "Don't worry too much! Relax." He grinned, managing to forget about his inner demons for a while.

"Let's skidaddle," Horace annouced, while swiftly marching out the Royal Garden. Max marched behind him before catching up being right next to the horse. He managed to wiggle himself back in stance and formation, but he looked back at the remaining pair and ushered them to follow.
--Disney Town--
"May the light stay with you," Minnie replied, while bidding another household a goodnight. During her patrols when she see a family, she wouldn't hesitate to greet them, but she had always made her visit short, since they knew the importance of her current mission. They always thanked the queen for making their safety a priority and bid her luck as she left.
For Minnie, this world was pretty much a family to her, since the closest family she had were dispersed across the galaxy. She haven't been able to pin-point Donald, Goofy or Mickey, but she still had Daisy, her right hand, to be by her side. Although her close family were away defending the worlds, she will play her part by defending her kingdom and everyone in it.
This night seemed to run smoothly; she hardly had any heartless to deal with that a mere ball of light couldn't scare off. It made her wondered what was going on seeing it was too good to be true, but the Queen rather not question a blessing and acknowledge the break from heartless activities. Only a few more blocks and she will be at the other end of the town; she should meet her fellow guards in a few more minutes.
---
"Hmm, I bet they are already on the other side. You see the Queen and the Royal Guards do a daily scan of town. I think it would be best if we split up in pairs and meet down there. We are bound to run into them and get any heartless that may have popped up." To prepare himself for more heartless, Horace stretched down to his toes to feel a good pull of his muscles. Straightening up her continued with more instructions,"Max you can go with Jack and take the west end. Mikhail you can come alooong with me."
"Yes Sir," Max replied with a salute, "well this shouldn't be horrible since we work well together." The young pup waved Jack over as he walked towards the western edge of the town, which was quite vacant...like a ghost town. The chilling autumn wind blew and curved around his armory, but he wouldn't shiver since he was a dog on a mission.
