In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Nickname: Abby, Baby (A name due to her sensitivity)
Age: 17 years
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Position: Neutral good. She has a deep reverence for life and will do whatever is necessary to protect her friends. She is very polite and puts others before herself.
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Lightning magic: When used, a single bolt of lightning strikes withing a radius of fifty feet, with higher intensity the closer the bolt strikes. Due to the unpredictability of lightning, she has a low chance of actually hitting her target. The precision of the lightning diminishes when the target is near metal or electrified objects because the lightning will be drawn to those objects. The spell has a cooldown of 4 posts because of her inexperience with magic.
Weapon/Items: A thin one-handed sword with a simple brown leather grip. She also carries a second, slightly wider one-handed sword with a silver pommel, although she rarely draws it. She always has her small black bag that carries her belongings. The bag has a single strap bag that goes across her left shoulder and her right side. Inside the bag are a few healing potions, some extra clothes, a bag of assorted candies (only 26 pieces left), a pencil, and a picture of her mother and father.
Appearance: She has long, light brown, almost blonde, hair that reaches the middle of her back. She has hazel eyes that are usually bright and friendly. She is thin, but not skinny, weighing about 115lbs, and is considered short at about 5'4''. Her skin has a light tan and is unblemished except for a small scar just below her right ear, which is often covered by her hair.
Her usual attire includes a white shirt and a yellow jacket with a black lightning pattern on the pockets. The hoodie is gray, but she rarely has it up. She wears black jeans with a jagged white stripe around the legs, just below the knees. She often has gray fingerless gloves, although she won't wear them indoors and instead puts them away in her pack. If it ever gets cold, she trades her jacket for a gray coat with yellow fluff (faux fur) poking out the sleeves and lining the hood.
Personality: Ever since she arrived in Twilight Town, she has been trying to find her way home. She is deeply worried about her family and friends and will do whatever she can to get back to them. She loves life and will do what she can to protect it, even if it means she has to kill someone, but she tries to avoid that. Because she lived around danger her whole life, she isn't afraid of much, except for water. In her homeland, the constant storms made the oceans and rivers a very dangerous place, so she cannot swim and is reluctant to go anywhere near the ocean.
Abby is a people-pleaser who loves to make others smile and constantly seeks friendship. She enjoys drawing on whatever she can get her hands on. Although a little naive, she eager to learn what she can about the world around her. When presented with a task, she often stubbornly pursues it, whether she is able to complete it or not. She is ever curious and can sometimes get into a bad situation because of it. Sometimes she forgets her caution and does things recklessly, usually to protect those she cares about. Despite the strong face she puts of, she is very sensitive and will sometimes let her emotions get the better of her. When she was young, she was bullied for crying so easily whenever she heard about those who had died recently, whether she knew them or not. She swore never to cry again and instead smile as often as possible. Tears are now a rare occurence with her, but once the waterworks start, they're hard to stop.
She has been trained to wield two blades, but because of her promise to her magic teacher, she does not use her second blade. When fighting, she moves swiftly and will always try to aid a friend in danger. She prefers to fight defensively when battling new enemies so she can get a feel for their fighting style and form a counter strategy. Once she understands her opponent, she usually surprises them with an onslaught of rapid blows. Everything after that depends of what exactly she's fighting. She only uses her magic when necessary and practices outside of battle in order to improve her skills.
Original World: Vendaval, Land of the Eternal Storm: a brief description This world was often ravaged by thunder storms and tempests, so most magic users are compelled to learn how to control lightning. Metal was an uncommon resource and wood and stone was the common building material. A single monarch held power over the people, using his passionate speeches to encourage the people whenever times were tough. Although the land seems quite dangerous, the stubborn, and usually poor, inhabitants have adapted to the constant storms. They live in wooden or stone homes and carry a rubber topped umbrellas where ever they go, and a drainage system was invented to transport the excess water to the ocean, several miles from the town. The townspeople take advantage of the occasional storm-free day and are most active during these times. Few crops can survive the soaked environment, but some fruits have flourished and are the peoples common source of food.
Current World: Twilight Town
History:
Abby was born into a wealthy family in the Seco district, a relatively dry (or at least drier than most lands) part of Vendaval that only the rich could afford. Technically, her father had gained such wealth through marrying her mother, whom was a Royalblood, a person of royal decent. Abby's father was a guard for the Hanson Castle, home to a wealthy aristocrat. When Abby reached the age of ten, her father began to teach her how to wield a sword.
Abby was showing great promise wielding a sword as she neared 13, so her father hired a magician and a Knight to further her training. Her sword master, Kyne, practiced with her three times a week, constantly drilling her with rigorous fighting scenarios and taught her the importance of the Knights duty to protect the people of Vendaval. Since she wielded a one-handed sword, Kyne suggested that she tried dual wielding. Abby excitedly agreed and was given a second one-handed sword.
During this time, she had been training with Vhala, the Mystic of Lightning. Vhala tried to teach her lightning magic, but so far, Abby had barely produced a spark. Every day, Vhala grew more and more frustrated with Abby's failures until she finally quit. Abby was stubborn, so she continued practicing on her own with what Vhala had taught her. When Kyne encouraged her to try dual wielding, she came up with the idea of combining her meager magic skills with her swords. However, this idea proved disastrous. When she recited the spell while holding up her swords in and X shape, the lightning that appeared was wild and struck at anything that was nearby. When the chaos finally subsided, the frightened Abby ran to Vhala's home in the village and asked her to please come back and teach her lightning magic. She refused, but asked her why she was so shaken. After explaining what had happened, Vhala scolded Abby for being so stupid as to try something so reckless. She explained that if she ever wanted to use magic with her swords, she would have to have a sword with a charm attached to ensure control. Vhala gave her one of her swords, one with a silver hand guard and a yellow crystral on the pommel, and told her to use it only when she has mastered Lightning, otherwise the magic in the sword would be useless. Although she was afraid she might not ever be skilled enough to wield the blade, Abby promised and accepted the sword.
Years passed and, at 17, she had become an excellent dual-blade wielder, although she used her old swords for fear of accidentally activating the silver blade Vhala gave her. Now that she was 17 and considered a young adult, she became a guard for the nobility like her father. One day, while on sentry duty, strange shadows appeared and attacked the castle. Despite her attempts to fend them off, she was greatly outnumbered and fled. She went straight home and grabbed Vhala's sword. Even if she wasn't ready, she wasn't about to loose those she cared about to a bunch of shadows! She also took a small bag filled with some potions and such, just in case she needed a healing potion. But by the time she was ready, the shadows were already upon her house. She tried to escape, but when she made it outside, it was as if everything but her house had been swallowed up into a void. Before she could wrap her head around what was going on, the ground beneath her feel suddenly fell away and she plunged into the dark void.
When she finally came to, she found herself in front of a large gate before an abandoned mansion. She knows she isn't in Vendaval anymore, but believes her family to still be trapped in the castle, surrounded by shadows. She vows to one day find her way back to her homeland and save her family, that is, if they're still there.
RP Sample: She was falling. Or at least, she felt like she was. All she could see was darkness, and all she could think about was her family. She remembered the house was empty when she got there. At first, she was afraid she was too late before she realized the shadows weren't there either. She figured her family must of fled, and she had packed her bag with essentials so she can go after them.
Just as she had grabbed Vhala's sword, she had heard glass break and scratching on the floorboards. She remembered seeing the creatures slipping into the room, coming out the floor like shadows come to life. She had fended them off with her sword as she bolted up the stairs to the roof. She still remembered the surprise and horror she felt when she saw that her home was surrounded by a dark void. The shadows had followed her, twitching unnaturally as they swiped their black claws at her. It wasn't long before she had been cornered, her back to the black abyss. It was then, trembling there on the roof, that the ground beneath her feet had suddenly disappeared in a pool of darkness. She had fallen, screaming at the top of her lungs, watching as her world, her home, faded away before her eyes.
Now, after who knows how long, she had noticed something change. She wasn't falling anymore, and she felt something prickly against her face, tickling her nose. Opening her eyes slightly, she saw lush green grass and a dilapidated brick wall covered in vines. Groaning, she pushed herself off the ground into a sitting position. Abby looked around, first noticing the large metal gate before a seemingly abandoned mansion, which was strange. Then she realized there was hardly a cloud in the sky where, instead, a bright golden sun was warming her face. She marveled at this, for she was used to seeing storm clouds, constantly threatening to strike, keeping the land dark and cool.
Despite the welcoming warmth of the sun, she was concerned about returning to her home and whether or not her family was still alive...
