In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A cool wind blew through the square in front of the wizard Merlin's house. It wasn't particularly cold, but it was enough to cause discomfort after some time. Normally the square would be silent at this time of day, but a voice broke the silence.
"Merlin! Where are you?" said the White Rose of Wutai as she practically beat the wizard's door down. She had something very important to ask him, but was growing impatient. It appeared that he wasn't home, but with Merlin, who knew. So she continued trying to beat his door down. "Merlin! C'mon, answer!"
The square of Radiant Garden was normally quiet and undisturbed thought Cloud as he walked the familiar path towards the computer room, he didn't have to be anywhere right now rather he was looking for something to pass the time, other than fighting he was getting bored of constantly fighting heartless and not knowing why they kept making appearences. His eyes looked up in curiosity occassionally while he walked, he was lost in thought and wasn't paying much attention to where he was going. It wasn't until he heard repeated knocks on a door and a energetic female voice, which happened to belong to Yuffie, did he realize where he was. It was outside Merlin's house.
That Yuffie, always causing a racket. Cloud thought as he approached her. "If you keep banging the door, you'll knock it down." He said along with a small sigh and then a slight smile, what was she calling Merlin for? come to think of it Cloud hadn't heard from the wizard for a while, he wondered if Merlin would show up that man seemed to be always busy with magic and myseteries. Cloud decided to wait around for a bit after all, he didn't have anything better to do perhaps Merlin had descovered something about the Organisation. It might be worth tolerating Yuffie to meet him.
Merlin, in fact, wasn't home. He had been out and about, saying hello, and making his rounds; you know, old man stuff. He went to the store, and bought some magical components, zapped a few heartless, talked to Tron a bit, and then decided to go back to his house. Something was nagging at him, like he had left the refrigerator door open, or the toaster on, or the oven on... but he didn't have any of those appliances, so it didn't make any sense.
Hmm... maybe I have a visitor then?
He pondered who could be visiting as he slowly made his way home. He was an old man, you know, and he did like to take his time when he didn't have any plans.
It took him about twenty minutes to get home, and as he neared the area his house was in, he heard an awful racket. Cringing, he spoke to himself; "I'd know that voice from just about anywhere... Yuffie is back from her trip."
Steeling himself, he continued on his way home. She's going to have an endless amount of questions for me... and she won't leave until they are all answered.
Sighing, Merlin quietly walked to his home. He was pleasantly surprised to see Cloud standing there as well, the blond was always a bit of a loner- only coming to Merlin when there was a message, or something important. That'll make this ordeal a bit more bearable, anyway.
As he neared the house, and Yuffie gave his door a break, Merlin accessed his magic, using it to cast Float on the unsuspecting Ninja. There would be no real side effects, just disorientation as the White Rose of Wutai began to float three feet off the ground.
After the spell was cast, Merlin chuckled from behind his silver beard, eyes twinkling. "Well, well, well; it looks like I visitors! How are the both of you? it's been quite a while!
Yuffie heard Cloud talk behind her, and turned around quickly on her heel. "Well if it isn't Cloud." she said with a taunting grin. "Did you decide to stop being...whoa!" She exclaimed as she started floating off the ground, and vertigo overcame her. She heard another voice behind her, and yelled, "Merlinnnnnnn! That's not funny!" With a puff of smoke, she reappeared a few feet away, still floating but reoriented. She gave Merlin a quick glare then said, "Well, Merlin, I was looking for you to ask you a favor! And I guess it's good that Cloud is here, 'cuz he can be a help too." She smiled and gestured at the door. "But could we talk inside?"
So Yuffie had been away too that would explain why he hadn't seen her around lately, he was curious as to where she went and judging by the look on Merlin's face when he arrived, told him that he knew of her dissapearence. What were they up to?, Cloud pondered on about in his mind he felt rather guilty for not helping out instead of wasting time patrolling Garden. It didn't get him anywhere apart from the occassional heartless battles not that they were a problem, he could easliy deal with them he was put it simply. Bored.
The blonde gave Merlin a small nod as he approached it seemed that they had something important to talk about, but he assumed that they wouldn't need him unless it was for fighting. Cloud shook his head "I just remembered..I had something to do, i'll catch you later." He muttered though this was only half true he really didn't have anything better to do, he turned to leave but knowing Yuffie she wouldn't let him off the hook this easily.

Merlin nodded at Cloud. "Hey, if you have the time, stay for a bit. I found something i think you might be able to use... I just have to re-find it in my house..."
Looking back at Yuffie, Merlin nodded. "of course we can talk inside." He snapped his fingers, dispelling the float spell, allowing Yuffie to be lowered gently to the ground. "Let's go inside."
Upon entering his home, Merlin snapped his fingers; the carpet cleared itself off and rose up to a normal table height, and two chairs appeared. Merlin gestured, and his big chair pulled itself up to the table as Merlin sat down. "Now then, Yuffie, before you begin..." He turned to Cloud. "Cloud, I'll look for the thing I wanted to show you- I remember where it is."
As Merlin spoke, he reached into his bag, pulling out a large, black, feather. It was immediately obvious that the feather did not belong to any bird, and it felt abnormally heavy. The feather was infused with mako energy, enough that Merlin had put a magical shield about it so it wouldn't cause any harm. As he handed the feather to Cloud, he also handed him a small, shining orb. Upon inspection, it would turn out to be a Restore Materia.
Merlin smiled and turned to Yuffie, "Ok, Now you may begin!"
By the time Merlin had finished talking to Cloud, Yuffie was practically jumping out of her seat. "Okay then, I had an idea for the RGURC." she blurted out, her hyperactive mood showing. "Instead of just watching over this world, we should extend our reach to other worlds like Traverse Town. And we really need to regroup, 'cuz I've noticed some absences. I haven't seen Leon or Aerith in a while." As she gave Merlin a look, she asked, "Have you seen them?"
As Cloud turned to leave it was Merlin's suggestion that made him halter, he looked behind him thinking what could the wizard possibly have to give him?. He was half-expecting a magic book or something, he shrugged and decided to follow them in shortly after Yuffie was levitated inside Merlin's cramped, and jam-packed with bookshelves of books. The blonde tried his best not to stand on one of Merlin's books which were on the floor while he was navigating his way in the room, he heard Merlin speak saying that he would find that item he was going to give him. Cloud waited next to Yuffie while he looked.
It didn't take him long the wizard handed Cloud a feather and a shining orb which looked like Restore materia, with a nod Cloud brought out his Materia box and put it in there for later use. He then locked the box again hopefully Merlin didn't see how much Materia he had collected already, Cloud didn't want the wizard to feel as though his gift was pointless if he already had one. But he gave him a small smile and an approving nod, Cloud looked at the feather in his other hand he could feel the Mako energy surging inside it how Merlin managed to get this was beyond Cloud the wizard was full of surprises.
Cloud was ready to leave he picked up his box but until Yuffie made an interesting suggestion, which included the RGURC extending their reach to other worlds watching over them. Cloud thought that this was an interesting idea he stayed a while longer to voice his opinion on the matter.
"Yuffie makes a good point, Radiant Garden isn't the only world that needs defending. Here's a thought, we could send different members of the RGURC off to worlds in groups as scouts to detect enemies such as heartless or nobodies, that would be perfect for you Yuffie, and we could send either me or Leon to accompany them and defend the worlds from a heartless attack."He spoke calmly. In a sense they would be travelling in small parties to a different world that way they could keep each world in check, and knowing where the enemy will strike next is always an advantage.
Merlin nodded. He had expected as much. However, as his two fellow members of the RGURC did not know, there was already a group in traverse town; simply put, they could help in the less known planets. "Yuffie, you make an interesting point. I have not seen either Aerith or Leon in a very long time. Nor Tifa, Cid, or even Cloud here; I have been very busy. However, I have noticed that everyone else seems to have simply disappeared. Maybe they are in Twilight town, maybe they are off at other worlds? who knows. but until we have either confirmation of their whereabouts, or until they return, we will not know."
Merlin tapped the table, and a mug of tea appeared. "if you want a beverage, or something to eat, just tell the table, by the way." He took a sip of his tea before continuing. "As for your idea, Cloud; having a network on several worlds wouldn't hurt- in fact, we can strive to set up satellite bases on different worlds, creating several spots where we can instantly travel between them, much like my house here and the one in the second district."
He paused, sipping at his tea again. "However, I don't know if we'll need to pay full attention on Traverse Town;" Merlin smiled, thinking of the two young men whom he had trained with not too long ago.
"I have some interesting information for you both."
Pulling out a small wooden framed mirror, Merlin waved his hand over it, saying "Mikhail" and "Maxwell." After a few seconds, two images seemed to grow off the Mirror, one of Mikhail Darrow; co-leader of the group known as the Guardians, alongside the other leader, Maxwell Tendas. The images grew to about twelve inches in height, and slowly revolved.
"These two gentleman I have had the pleasure of meeting, have a very interesting goal; if you go to Traverse town, I would ask you to seek them out, and see if they need your help. Then, when you are aware of their group, you might get some other ideas as well."
Merlin sipped at his tea again, smiling. If they could find a way to work together, the worlds would be that much closer to their balance.
(( Hey guys, Riku just learned about the Dark XII and the return of the Organization, and he wants to get to Radiant Garden and figure out what's going on. Noma says Cloud and Leon need to meet him anyway, so can those two pop in here? ))
(( Unfortunately, none of them have actually met Riku before. XD I'll assume Sora told Riku about them, and I bet they heard of Riku while Sora was looking for him. ))
Quiet, rapid knocks rained upon the door.
Without waiting for a response, Riku turned the heavy iron knob and stepped inside, pausing at the frame to evaluate the house before entering further. It took only a moment of glancing around the room to satisfy him. "So the old duck wasn't entirely batty," Riku murmured to himself, shutting the door behind him. He had no doubt that this was a wizard's residence.
It had taken a bit of asking around to discern the whereabouts of the Committee. Riku had only the echo of Sora's past words to go by, stories of their journeys that they exchanged during the quiet year on Destiny Islands. It was the memory of Sora's detailed depictions of the HBRC and the wizard Merlin that drove Riku to visit Radiant Garden first. For some reason, it felt imperative that he found them.
Thus far he had been staying inconspicuous. It was vital that word of the keybladers on the move wasn't yet let out. However, the exact purpose of this encounter was practically the opposite: in order to figure out what was going on, he would have to reveal his identity to the people before him.
Riku paused to consider said people. There was no doubt in his mind as to which one was Merlin, and recognized the other two from Sora's descriptions - though he couldn't remember their names. He would take no precautions.
"Before I say who I am or what I am doing here," Riku finally addressed the silence, "I need to know I'm speaking to the right people."
They're bound to be thinking along the same lines, Riku grimly understood. He wracked his brains for a tying factor, something to confirm his position while simultaneously verifying theirs. It didn't take long to think of one.
"Am I correct in assuming that you are all allies of Sora?"

Cloud quietly listened to Merlin explain about the group the Guardians led by Mikhail Darrow and Maxwell, He hadn't met either of them before and he was impressed by what he heard from the wise wizard. Though Cloud didn't feel like babysitting naturally he would go to Traverse Town alone, he knew how strong his allies were they could look after themselves. Cloud was pleased that Merlin liked his idea maybe the worlds will be safe as long as they worked together, but the blonde would do so in his own way.
He agreed to Merlin's request and without another word he picked up his materia box and hoisted it over his shoulder, and turned to leave he was about to open the door but it already opened, he was facing a teenage boy with long white hair his heart skipped a beat because his first thouht was Sephiroth. But this boy's attire was very different from what the one winged angel wore, he looked like he didn't want to fight Cloud assumed he didn't otherwise he would've attacked them already.
The white haired youth spoke his voice was deep "Am I correct in assuming your all allies of Sora?" Cloud raised an eyebrow at this how could he know Sora? regardless Cloud nodded stifly and brushed passed him, unless he was called back he would have left.
Man. . . Leon thought. I'm late. . . I HATE being late. But Merlin had wanted him for something, so he was going to be there. He ran down the streets of Radiant Garden, carefully dodging the people going about their daily business. As he approached Merlin's house, he noticed that the door was open, there was someone standing in the doorway, and Cloud was coming out. Leon nodded to Cloud as a "hello" and went into the house, lightly pushing past the man in the door with a grunted "excuse me." Looking around the room, he saw Merlin and Yuffie sitting at a table, probably talking about something, especially knowing the old wizard. "Sorry I'm late, Merlin," he said between slightly heavy breaths. "I was held up by some small problem elsewhere in town. So, what did you need?"
