In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

I wasn't going to jump into this... however, as much as I like you as a person Aryn, I must agree with Roxas' statement above and Leon's statement further back about being elitist. Though there are people that we care not to have anything to do with on the forums, the point of the RP is for everyone to have a good time.... That means the people that we may not like as well.
I, myself, do not like the idea of just ignoring an RPer just because someone doesn't like him. We may do that in the CBox from time to time, however, being in the forums, it's different. There can be at least the consideration that like in the real world, game world and other worlds that people have created, thanks to the use of their imagination; people will interact... those people will all be different. Now... considering that this is an RP forum, things will still occur, and people will be showing up at random.
I may not be a staff member of these forums... however, this is just my two cents.
But I have to ask...what is the difference between having one thread which I control and having a thread in which people must "PM first before joining?" or "Invite Only?" I think this implies that only certain people are wanted in the thread. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm only asking for one thread. No one has to rp in it, if they don't want to. It is the thread that for my own sake, would like to construct a plot that may or may not be in conjunct with the stated WD one. If you'd like me to call it something else, like, "Private Plot Thread," I'll do it. Of course I will rp elsewhere. I stated that I will rp elsewhere upon request. Maybe I didn't make that clear enough. If someone wants an rp with Sora, all they need to do is give me a link to the thread they would like him in.
Want him in Radiant Garden for a brewing plot with Dark XII? Send me a link. Want him in Wonderland? Send a link. N00bs want to join those threads? Fine, whatever.
For one thread, however, I would like to rp with who I want to rp with.My reasons? Quite simply, no one knows what the Given Circumstances are or exactly what is going on with the plot. I like to rp. I like to have fun and rp. It's not fun when everyone is on different pages. So, for one page, I'm letting everyone else decide what the plot is, and I'll go along with it. BUT, I'm not going along with something ridiculous that's going to make everyone miserable.
No you would not be wrong. I have a thread as such, but mostly as a precaution to avoid characters whom might get themselves killed and the PM would be for discussing such matters. However, saying "by request"... it's pretty much doing the same thing consistently. Invite only is generally, as I have seen it, so that certain things, when planned ahead to be done (such as with "Back to Business"), can be logged without too much interference from characters that jump in out of curiosity and could also find themselves in a mess that was generally, according to characters as they are prone to doing themselves, wasn't meant for them. It is not always right.
But nor is anyone being too consistent about this and still wanting to include everyone, no matter who it is. One thread is still being elitist, and as Roxas has said, you're not as staff. You could have asked Roxas/some higher up mod in the first place if you could do as such, to perhaps clear out the air before hand. That's just me, though, and not everyone follows the same train of thought-- which is understandable.
But the "policy" of "Given Circumstances" shouldn't be in place just because you felt like you needed to rule out certain people. Aden was greatly wronged and the idea of your explanation still singles out too many people. Yes, this site is for intermidate to advanced players, and yes, it's true that it's not greatly enforced. The staff are at blame for this, but that is what Instructors are for-- the Instructor team is there to help those who need improvement.
Singling out people and making them feel like they aren't good enough for you, period, is disconcerting and gives the idea that this is okay for EVERYONE to do. Which it isn't. That is what will make people will end up finding miserable, and will avoid people who do this to avoid feeling as if they're being treated by someones "holier than thou" outlook.
That may not be the case. But... well... as everyone knows, I'm opinionated. And there is MY reasoning or agreeing with putting this sort of thing to stop. It portays all the wrong imagery that "friendly" should be associated with, and as much as I like you as a person Aryn, I still disagree immensely, as this is a put down to other players. Regardless of what your willing to do so far as jumping into threads. Requesting is only thing. But request only, or refusing other players?
It's elitist and controlling.

I guess the U.S. government got it wrong. And so did all those pesky universities. Oh and major league sports...those damn elitists. EDIT: Shoot, I forgot the entertainment industry. I'll curse them right after I finish watching new episodes of The Office.
Hey, if people want, I'll take my game and leave.
Oh, wait...I DID that, didn't I? I was asked to come back. I addressed my problem to admins and none of them could even begin to help solve them. Nor was there any real effort to.
So, what do you want from me? Why don't you write up a specific list.

I've posted my reasonings and what I have to say about the matter, take it as you will. So, if you need a list of things, having been a mod once and having, now, to adhere to the same rules as I, then I've not much in regards to that.
Alright, the two of you just settle down. The issue here is miscommunication and a series of wrongs that have yet to make a right. Now forgive if what follows is not correct, but this is what I surmised from everything I’ve observed – and also forgive any incoherency that there may be (it’s hard to compose while people are screaming across the room and you can’t see the keyboard >>):
Leon, you’re wrong to be attacking Aryn – because she allegedly attack Vince on MSN -- on such a menial issue that can be easily resolved through clarification of Aryn’s intentions. Aryn is wrong for – allegedly – attacking Vince over MSN for his post in the Staff Forums. Vince was wrong to single out Aryn as the soul architect for what happened in the Temp Admin Fiasco – I know that the blame falls unto more shoulders than just one. And Yuffie, Kaze and I – hell, I’ll just take full responsibility here since it was my inquiry that pushed the snowball down the hill – were wrong to bring up the topic of the temporary Admins, without intention for it go the way it has gone.
This has become a vicious cycle with no end in sight.
I think, Aryn’s explanation – reply #17 – was clear enough for us all to understand. I do believe she’s entitled to just one, onethread to do what she wants with whoever she wants. I believe we all want one, and even have done the same at some point during our time here. And while it was a little inappropriate to post he her RPing standards in a thread for all to see, she is entitled to her own methods. Publicly displaying them, though, may not have been the best way to go – like I say, Aryn dear, even the best laid plans and intentions can go awry. And yes, she may have worded it in a way that sounded grandeur and elitist, but I am quite sure this is all – I do hope it is – a matter of miscommunication.
Miscommunication thus far has been a thorn in all our sides lately – elusive snide remarks, what Supervisors do, who the heck was doing what during the Temp Admin Fiasco – and has only served to divide us further.
Weren’t you not the one who said, Leon, that we all have to work together? Yes, I know it was in context of the staff, but when you think about it, does it not apply to us all? We focus so much on the division between Staff and Members that we fail to see that we are all here to RP, together.
So, in my own opinion, the best course of action to be taken right now is not to gripe and whine about what Aryn put down in the original post, but settle down and discuss what she meant – as wrong as she was for putting it down in the first place.
Aryn, I for one don’t want you to leave again, and I’m sure that there are others. And Leon, please lay off.
That’s my two cents.
The both of you can yell me now for being… whatever you can come up with. I’m done/

Please don't try to compare those things to what we're doing here. The difference? Those people are working together to make something, be it government, education, or what. They aren't there, doing what they do to have fun, necessarily.
We? Are. This is all about are we having fun. There is no point to it beyond that. So if you're causing others to /not/ have fun? Go ahead and leave. I say good riddance.
There was a little girl, Who had a little curl, Right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, She was very good indeed, But when she was bad she was horrid.
The first post has been edited. I will now keep three types of threads.
One: Officially Non-Plot Thread, which is already started. Two: Officially Plot Thread, which abides by all WD standards, excepting anyone and everyone, once the new plot is in place. Three: Private requests.
