In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Ellie's Note: For the general public, refrain from posting in this thread unless request or told by me. If you wish to comment go post in the Plot Atlantis thread in the Water Cooler. Once this is complete I will request for Bluey to move it and make it a pinned thread in the Atlantis board. For some reason I cannot make a thread in there just yet.
Below are the series of animals native to the world of Atlantis.
This common inhabitant of Atlantis looks like a giant frog. With its larger scale, it has strong legs for long and distant leaps. One would less likely find a Heartless counterpart, because they absorb darkness and use it for their advantage, but it gives them a downfall of be weak to light/holy magick.
Aquabubbles: Is a water based attack of water bubbles, but health lost by the enemy is given to the toad. Angelsong: Angel song is a healing chant to its allies rejuvenating health. Blitztongue: Using its tongue for a short range attack, blitztongue can knock its opponent off its feet; beware though, it will take advantage to tackle.
Abysteel can be commonly compared to a bat with a décor patterned wings, which tells their sexes apart. Regardless of their beauty in nature, they have an unruly appetite to feast on any prey big or small. They tend to roam and nest as a group, so if you see one there are bound to be more.
Gnaw: This is a biting attack on an enemy dealing minor damage. Leach: Swooping down, it will absorb and steal some of the prey’s health Screech: Opening its mouth, it will emit a loud high pitch sound that disables prey for 2 post counts and call onto more Abysteel.
The 'bahod-moks' are, quite literally, Atlantean cave tigers, occasionally populating the Kuwanlelenta forest as well. Though possessing no magical capabilities, a bahod-mok's teeth and claws make it a formidable opponent.
Sometimes called 'Bahodmok tiger' (The term for a young Bahodmok is 'Flopsy') Bahodmoks are quite an interesting creature indeed. Extremely intelligent, they can be compared to dolphins for intelligence. Bahodmoks are solitary and territorial, though will tolerate others in its territory if it isn't stressed for food. Oddly enough, they seem to quite enjoy the company of humans, possibly evolved because of being fed in the presence of humans. They have five tusks at the front of their faces and large claws that are not only used to bring down larger prey like their primary prey, Ugobes, but also to dig for roots and small burrowing animals. They have five eyes, and thus keen eyesight. The primary eyes, the two on either side of the middle one, see much like a house cat does in normal light, but the other three are adjusted to be specifically for night-like conditions. If the light is bright, it often closes the night eyes, but keeps all eyes open in the dark. Like normal cats, it has a mirrored surface in the back of its eyes, resulting in an orange glow. Bahodmoks are about the size of a tiger, and are fine furred. They have a dark blue coat with a light blue underside and yellow-orange stripes or sometimes blue ones. (There is also a rare mutation in which they actually have tiger stripes). They have a thick, reptilian like tail that can be used as a bludgeon-like whip. Bahodmoks have a variety of vocal sounds, including purrs, roars, growls, whimpers, and a howl-like noise.
Crystalbugs are hard to spot, since they are identical to the natural crystallized minerals that is scattered throughout the city. They are three sub-species known which are categorized by their hue: blue, green, and orange.
Crystalbugs have access to an arrangement of magic; it would be smart to flee if encountered. These are defensive fiends and the origin of the Heartless Crystallyx.
Blue Crystalbug Debuff Immunity: Immune to de-buffing Magick (Green Magick) Watera: It can shoot large blobs of water pushing back and damaging multiple opponents Aerora: A thick funnel of air rips like a tornado towards nearby opponents. Dark: A stream of darkness drains opponent of health
Green Cystalbug Fira: A ring of fire revolves around the crystal before expanding to close by opponents. Thundara: A rain of thunder strikes down on anyone in its path. Blizzara: While spinning, a mist of frost is released. Watera : It can shoot large blobs of water pushing back and damaging multiple opponents Aerora: A thick funnel of air rips like a tornado towards nearby opponents.
Orange Crystalbug Firaga: Fire combusts all over the battlefield Thundaga: A stronger bolts of lightening strikes down on nearby opponents. Blizzaga: While, spinning frost covers the entire battle field. Waterga: Blobs of water roams and won’t fall apart until making 10 hits. Aeroga: A large tornado expands away the crystal acting as an attacking barrier Dakra: A stream of darkness latches onto multiple opponents.
The Cassie has a reddish brown coloration with a moldy green tinted gold pelt between its tentacles. Tentacles cover its entire frame except its large fanged mouth. Unlike a typical plant, this plant is mobile and carnivorous with a bad smell. One should never be too close to a Cassie since it can slam and lunge its body for close-range attacks or even take a bite.
Cloying Breath: Opening its mouth, it release a thick pink bog that causes sleep (3 posts) and slow (5 posts) on all nearby opponents.
Cure: can heal minor wounds
Soul Etude: An ability that can only be used twice, which restores its health completely.
Bad Breath: With a heavy exhale, a green bog emits from its mouth, which can cause poison and blind (5 posts).
Time Requiem: With a wiggle it exhales a purple bog that causes all nearby targets to stop where they stand for 5 posts.
The name reminisces a delectable caramel custard, but the Flan is far from sweet in any shape or form. They look like a dollop blob of animated slim. It has a tendency in absorbing its prey in its body and even splitting to duplicate. This may seem harmless, but until it multiple in numbers with on-going attacks, one flan can turn into a hectic problem. As a group, they would corner their prey until it falls.
Slap: By expanding and twisting, it forms multiple arms to whack their opponents. Sap: This spell drains an enemy’s health over time. Cure: They can also heal one another of minor injuries.
Name: Karkin, Martak, and Tuyeb Genus: Crustacea Class: Crabs
Location: Many
'Karkin' is the general word for the many subspecies of crab (primarily martaks, the largets of the subspecies) in Atlantean waters and above them. Most tend to grow to the size of large sea turtles. For the most part, the creatures are docile.
Tuyeb are Atlantean lobsters.
Jet: High-powered squirts of water aimed at any antagonist or perceived threat. While not too dangerous regularly, karkin are also capable of squirting lava, which can pose a sever threat to targets.
Pinchers: these large, natural defense mechanisms can cause great pain if the creature is aggravated.
Great, hot-blooded mammals residing in the depths of Vulcan, the Atlantean volcano. Their lifetimes are many times of a typical human, and slightly longer than the Atlanteans themselves.
Baby lava whales, known as 'shemubin', are very uncommon, as the whales rarely give birth. However, due to their tendencies to frolic about the surface of the lava, they are often spotted much more often than their parents; a person may only see an adult lava whale a few times in their lifetime, if ever.
*Lava whales are a miracle of nature. They are actually able to survive in their homes of boiling mud and lava by a unique healing system. When young, these small creatures live on their mother's backs, unable to survive the lava's heat, and are constantly on the lookout for none other than Atlantean crystal, which they consume a rather large amount of (Somewhere near 50 lbs!) This creates basically the healing system that allows them to live. They are constantly regenerating their skin, as it is literally being burned off by the lava. Lava whales have lost the fear of fire because of this, but their crystal healing supply is so busy healing the creature all of the time, that other wounds, such as cuts or abrasions must heal normally. Lava whales are primarily herbivorous, living off of cave plants, though they are actually able to get several nutrients from powdered stone, much like how some people will eat dirt. The young Shemubin often have a soft spot for fruit. Shemubin resemble a creature similar to the humpback whale, but instead of the two flippers, they have three sets of stocky legs. In the place of baleen, Shemubin have peg-like teeth, which they use to scrape the plants off of rocks. They have a paddle-like tail, much like that of a thick beaver's in which they store all of their fat. They are most commonly gray with blue or gold eyes, but there is also an albino-like species that is a pinkish-orange in color with a peach underside and red eyes. These are very rare and it is a special thing indeed to see one in the wild. Most often though, Shemubin just look like a landmass in a seething pool of lava, as most of them will be hidden from view. As young, they are often a prey item for Charokhs and Gorlocks, but once grown, other creatures do not bother them often. These are the largest creatures in the caves near Atlantis, and they grow to over 65 kelim (Atlantean unit of measure, 2.3 feet. That means about 50 yards!) from the tips of their snouts to the ends of their tails. Shemubin are fiercely protective of their pods, which can number up to a dozen. Shemubin are mammals, and have mammary glands on their backs. They produce a thick, blue milk. Shemubin, when angered roar, though sometimes it is at such a low pitch, that you can only feel it. The most common vocalization of Shemubin though, is singing, much like normal whales.
Large Atlantean sharks with prominent 'noses'. Occasionally smaller subspecies will in habit rivers or deeper lakes of Vaiveahtoish. Smaller subspecies tend to hunt in packs, while larger are much more solitary. The temperaments of neyap subspecies range from passive (generally the larger individuals) to very aggressive.
Water Cannon: They can eject a boiling hot cannon of water at their opponents.
Teeth: The elongated nose hosts multiple rows of razor-sharp teeth.
Great Atlantean turtles. Though growing typically around eight feet length wise and six width wise, some of the oldest of these species have been known to breach ten feet in diameter. The turtles are passive, and eat various aquatic weeds rich with nutrients. Their shells tend to be magnificent, with unique designs and colors attributed to their well-nourished diet.
Name: Ugobes Genus: Limcada maximus Class: Gastropoda
Location: Vaiveahtoish
Atlantean man-slug. They can spit various dangers at passerby such as lava, water, and toxins, depending on the subspecies.
*Though Ugobes resemble slugs, they do have a skeletal structure and actually can grow to be taller than a man. In addition, they have four pairs of legs, making them considerably more speedy than one might think. Ugobes have stalk eyes, and may look in multiple directions at once. Generally they have a gray color to them with darker gray spots. Ugobes are herbivores and fruit is a favorite item. Ugobes are raised for food, much like cattle, and have little defense against predators except for their speed, and the fact that they breed like rabbits. Ugobes make a gargling belch sound much like some walruses.
Name: Wemot Genus: Pavthio Class: Aves
Location: Vaiveahtoish, Kuwanlelenta, The City of Atlantis,
The Atlantean version of an ostrich, emu, or chocobo. With extroverted personalities and vivid feathers that resemble that of a peacock, these proud birds often are favored as mounts and pets. In the wild they travel in flocks. They can fly short distances and only about twenty feet high; for the most part they favor walking and running, and are equipped with powerful legs for doing the job.
In the wild they are targeted by predators, but prove to be a very hard catch due to their speed.
*Wemot are large ostrich-like creatures with long necks and legs. They have no forelimbs, though the ruminants of them remain in the skeletal structure. They come in a variety of colors and make a giggling honk-like noise. There is a variety that has a purple color with yellow spots, one that is aqua with purple spots, and one with a yellow-green color with gray spots. All of these have a lighter colored underside. Wemots primarily eat seeds, grasses and fruit.
Peck: Long-necked and sharp-beaked, a peck from one of these birds is not very comfortable.
Whoop: Wemot wings are large and strong, and can pack quite a wallop if need be.
Aero: The flap of the birds’ wings can also create small gusts of aero magic.
Wemot Dance: Typically a courting ritual, this dizzying, bright dance can also be used to distract enemies. In humans it can actually cause temporary confusion or vertigo, as human brains often cannot keep up with the feathery display.
To preserve the absorbed heat, a gator had evolved into growing wool that can absorb the sunlight, since the Vaiveahtoish can go through heavy raining periods that will bring a chill. The green mossy hair helps it blend in with its environment weather it’s in the water or laying limply looking like the rest of the terrain. Naturally the gator is seen with its mouth open, because its eyes are stored underneath, while the eyes on top of its head are just for confusion purposes.
Disturbing the gator will arouse it out of its hiding to attack unless its attacking for a meal. During an encounter with the gator, they will find the most unusual aspect, a split upper jaw. Its fanged jaws can spread into three increasing its hunting efficiency of keeping hold of its prey or opposition.
Ram: With a charge, the Wooly Gator will swing its snot to ram and knock back an opponent.
Shell: A protective dome cast over the Gator decrease oncoming magic by a level.
Sonic Fang: By snapping its mouth, the wooly gator can emit thick sound waves into an opponent. Those caught by its fangs may need an infirmary.
Blind: Opening its mouth, it releases a beckon of light blinding all nearby opponents for 3 post counts.
The Wyvern is looks like a flying reptilian, who may be closely related to a lizard. With its long wing-span, the Wyvern dominates the sky with other fowls and hunts from above. Living in the Vaiveahtoish, it feeds on small Abaddons and fish like the Ichthon, but it will take delicacy of humans.
Aerora: With a flap of its wings, it send a whirling wind attack.
Gust- With continuous flapping, the Wyvern can send 10 blades of sharp wind to cut at its prey.
Dive- Being in the air, the Wyvern will descend in a swooping dive dealing damage.
Rake- Lowering itself, a Wyvern can attack with its claws, while conducting gust.
With a fur of greens and blues, the varg can blend in Atlantis natural forested environment making them excellent hunters with the elements of surprise and ambush. They have long fangs that curves and grows with age.
Fangs: A multiple biting attack which can range from minor to a bloody wound.
Pounce: Pounce is a common fighting tactic when a varg finishes a prey. It will leap on its prey before stabbing its large fangs into it. This attack can result to heavy blood lost and commonly used to finish off a prey before eating.
Location: Vaiveahtoish, Kuwanlelenta, Wanageska, The City of Atlantis, Yongnian
Atlantean parrot-lizards; small, winged reptiles with friendly dispositions.
* Also known as the Parrot Lizard, Yeragos resemble small pterosaurs. They, like rabbits, can be raised to be food (Atlanteans often say that imported chicken tastes like Yeragos) or as pets. They are quite friendly and beautiful with many varieties. Yeragos are omnivorous, and will eat nearly anything, much like seagulls or pigeons. The most common type of Yeragos has a green topside, with a lime green underside. The undersides of it's wings and the fin on the underside of it's tail are a golden yellow color and it also possesses a bright red crest on it's head. The eyes are of the same color. Yeragos generally make a squawking noise and a high-pitched shrill, though they do sing in a high-pitched tone. Yeragos are capable of swimming, much like a duck, though are less adept at it as their feet are not webbed.
