In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Damien sat on a bench facing the Foutain Court watching the hues of pinks and blues reflecting off the water, walls, and unto his own features. He had a blank hardcover book in his hand purchased from a shop after getting used to the money coversion. He tapped a pencil on the white page after trying to sketch the fountain properly. Years ago he had developed suitable draftmanship, which he was going to use more and more.
The L'Cie groaned as that vision had flashed before his eyes again once fulling recovering from Leon's distant gaze. Afterwards one can say he gained a different sense of perspective just to say his last focuses weren't this controversial and massively influential; yes defeating monstrosity that wrecked chaos was one thing, but it seemed the fal'Cie wanted to give him an upgrade or entrusted to much in him.
He couldn't put up with it now. Throughout his career, if that's a proper term, or curse, he learned to be as lax as possible; he rather not quicken his ticking time bomb. He would have to be as cool as a cumcumber in regards to his brand. At times he made it easier on himself by forgetting it was even there and even covered it up making it out of sight, out of mind.
Despite what lies ahead he must admit, "It is beautiful."
Roth strolled through the streets wondering what he could possiably do for a time consumer. "Well...haven't seen those creatures around in a long time." He spoke to him self as he started to walk towered the Foutain Court. He sat on the edge of the Foutain. And started to wonder what he could do.
He sat there for a wile and thought till something popped in his head."Okay now this is really boring." He said as he yawned. He leaned back a bit to fare and fell right into the foutain causing a big splash to go every where.

Damien was enjoying the silent, but his eyes slowly rolled up to see who else was enjoying the scenery. He wouldn't go calling the guy a twin or look-a-like, but he wondered if obnoxious would be a good word. Not finding anything interesting in another male's anatomy regardless of the boisterous tattoo, grey eyes casted back down at the page, while his finger slightly smudged graphite on the page to resemble to flowing water. If he had the skills of a painter, he would've colored it as neatly as possible finding the grayscale not worthy of the foutain's luxuries. People would want an accurate image when an image is all they would be able to go by.
His new company wasn't shy talking to himself out loud, and the L'Cie found nothing wrong with keeping an open ear, while keeping commentary to himself as he thought along the lines of someone need to get his arse up and do something than lounge. Then he heard it a splash, his lips twitched to the left as if he was satisfied by it. He waited for a moment wondering if he should intervene; it wasn't apart of his focus, but some human moral still tugged at him.
Before persuing, he left his book behind on the bench away from threatening water damage. The L'Cie walked cooly wit his hands in his pocket looking down at the mess on the cobblestone and the rippling water fountain. He knealt down on one knee, while his eyes narrowed to spot him before grabbing a limb as if he was a fishing feline.
"One can't live much of a life without being danger prone."
Roth felt some one grabbing his arm and helping him up out of the water. As he himself help so that it was not to much for the stranger, Roth came out spraying water every where and caoughing at the same time. "God thanks man". He managed to speak out as he sat down on the ground. "Sorry if I interupteded you". Roth apoglized in a nice tone.
Roth sat there looking at the man who helped him up and tilted his head. "Did i make you mad at me?" He asked as he tilted his head the other way."Because you ain't talking much....oh where the heck's my manners? The names Roth...Roth Darkheart." he greeted in a nice tone.

Damien blinked feeling some water hit him, while thinking how sated he was to keep his book as bay. The boy was coughing like fish out of water, and the only remedy the L'Cie had was a thick hit on the back to aid the cough and removal of water. He could've punched him in the diaphram, but the L'Cie knew he wouldn't appreciate it so well. Seeing that he was living, Damien stood up seeing his task of heroism was complete.
He was going to walk away back to his bench and book before asked a ridiculous question. He looked down at the youth skeptically before looking up at the sky for his mind can ponder, "If you want me mad, Roth, I can be, but I would be faking, and it's Damien."
Internally he wasn't found of exchanging names it broke down his nuetral relationship with everyone, but he had a feeling the kid would speculate more unneccesary emotions from his like anger.
Roth shook his head to get the water out and then looked at Damien. "Sheehs no need to go being a grouch...i apologized for disturbing you." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck. And then let out a huge sigh. "grouch much there now?" He said as he looked at Damien. Roth wasn't trying to start a fight but he hated it when people acted like grouches round him.

"I'm not being a grouch," Damien replied matter-of-factly, "but if you wish to think so by all means..."
He normally took on a passive nuetral position in conversations, since he never fancied or found reasons to be hostile. It's as if time had numbed him from aggression; it wasn't as if he had a purpose to be angry. In the end, the next time he awakens from this life the boy before him would be long dead, six feet under, while he's trapped to roam with only time as a companion.
"Well if I'm a grouch, then you're noticealy clumsy or just naturally unaware," Damien replied once sitting on the bench with his book in hand, "and if you take that personally...you have no sense of humor."
Even for a man to utter a joke, he hardly adds ethusiam in it to indicate it, while keeping the same monotone passive tonality making him hard to decipher being nearly cryptic.
Roth smirked and laughed. "Your right... I'm just a bit of both on that part." He said as he looked at him. "But ya know.... I haven't meet anyone that's like you....and i like you...your cool." He said as he sat beside Damien. " Let me guess...your the type of guy who doesn't care about anything , just a ~stick to yourself~ kind of guy?" Roth added as he had a smile on his face Roth sat there waiting for a reply and hoping that he didn't take it the wrong way. The last thing Roth wanted on his hands was a fight and over all blood.

Damien continued on his sketch trying to make it as clean and crisp as possible, while listening to Roth. He wasn't surprised by his statement, not finding anyone like him. He had a nagging feeling that he wouldn't wish to meet a replica of himself; it would meant that they were built the same way, which is a detail he wouldn't wish for anyone to tread with.
"If people were that simple and flat, then everything else would be," he was no cleanly drawing the little courtyard that surrounded the foutain, while sketching little brick textures on the paper, "and we both know by now that nothing is simple. And what about you, do you normally try to read people and fall into fountains?"
Roth sighed. "No....actually I'm on a mission to find my father." Roth spoke in a quite tone as he leaned over. Roth was on a mission, it's just he didn't know where to start. As he sat there for a few minutes he heard a roar coming from the ally way. "What the heck?" he asked as he stood up. The roar got louder and Roth placed his hands behind his back. "Hey...you hear that?" He added as the roar came more and more closer.
Roth pulled out his daggers and got ready to fight. He didn't know what that thing was..but he wasn't going to let it destroy the foutain. Or hurt anyone around him. "Not on my watch." He said.

Only a hum was given from Damien at the touchy subject as he mentally concluded the youth's behavior; he was restless without any direction to turn to. The L'Cie was sympathetic towards that, but couldn't find it in himself to be inquisitive on his ordeal, but he wasn't going to stop in from talking if he had continued anyway.
A roar did interrupted him; he truly wasn't in the mood for such nonsense now. He couldn't conclude then and there whether it worked towards or against his cause, but in the end with so much noisy catastrophy it wasn't a good sign. Damien wasn't anxious to get up and start fighting; he would just wait for the source to show its ugly head.
On the page he had opened he wrote 'Fountain Court - Radiant Garden'.
Roth looked back at Damien and then back towred the ally way. He was waiting for the monster to make an appearance or to straight out attack. Though he was standing right in the way of a possible attack, Roth placed his hands on his daggers and waited for the right moment.
Several minutes later a huge shadow blast came flying out from the alleyway."WHAT THE!" He let out as he avoided the attack by jumping up. The blast barley mist him and the fountain. "Why you little!" Roth said as he pulled out his daggers. "TRY THIS FOR SIZE! SHATTEN FANG!" He roared as his dagger released the shadow like attack. It flew at a high speed into the ally way and a loud explosion accrued

"Ever heard of fighting fire with fire, it only ends with burns," Damien just sat on the bench watching, waiting, and listening. Right near him a claymore jutted from the floor with a pixelated ding before more trailed down and disappeared towards the disturbance. He had already warned Roth; also it wouldn't be much good attacking what is hidden. Those never end so smoothly either.
Slowly he rose to his feet as if he wasn't rushing. Although the fiend didn't show it's ugly head, he perfered to keep the fountain in one peace. Although it will crumble eventually, he needed to record it beforehand, since have no formed a greater respect for culture and life, "Still playing with it?"
Across his back, a double headed trident like spear clanked against him. This was his wepon of choice, but he wasn't reaching for it just yet.
Roth smirked as he stood still for just a split minute."Nah....just having some fun." He said as he placed his hand infront of him. "This is where it ends though. "Light from my heart....light up the way........"He paused for a moment." SOUL'S BLAST!" He roared as he sent a huge blast of light into the ally way. There was a huge explosion that Roth took enough time to breath. "Dang...never thought it would hurt me that bad." He spoke before sitting down.
A few minutes went by and not a single was heard. "You thing its over?" He asked as he looked up

Damien couldn't say he understood the youth now. He took enjoyment out of a fight, but perhaps he's too old fashioned, Damien, or lived too long to not feel that raging edge of adrenaline. His brows furrowed noticing him using an influential attack. From the light from it, he knew it dealt with his own heart meaning that the youth could potentially put himself in jeopardy from it. Not to his surprise, the lad had sat down with pain.
"If it's not it will be, Radiant Garden have an efficient defense mechanism. I won't put it past anything to catch it by surprise, but after that and some claymore...I doubt it would be much of a problem."
Yes it wasn't the marvelous idea to just fire a draining attack that could put him in a life and death predicament. What if the friend was still alive as he just sat there rocking on the waves of the aftermath? "You really shouldn't have done that. You would be a heartless snack if this world wasn't so guarded."
