In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

Now there are several rules to this, but I'll put it in basic form here...
The Mafia game runs in two phases, a night phase and a day phase. The game usually starts out in a Night Phase with the Mafia making their first kill. During the night phase, the Mafia discusses amongst each other who they wish to kill. They may also choose no one if they wish. When their vote is complete, then we switch to the day phase. During the day phase, the result of the Mafia's killing is made known. The villagers (Both Mafia and Innocents) vote to either wait and see what happens or kill (Lynch) someone that they believe to be the Mafia. Once the votes are cast, the majority vote wins. If someone's name is the majority vote, then that person is killed, and his true status is revealed. Then we go back to a night phase. The game ends when either A: There are more Mafia then there are Townspeople (Mafia Victory), or all the Mafia are killed (Innocent Victory)
Now, that being said, there are several more roles that can be assumed depending on the Narrator (The omniscient being that knows all and tells people what happens throughout the two phases). There can be a doctor, who can prevent someone from being killed one night. There can be a gunsmith, who gives someone a gun each night, and they can use the one round in it to kill someone during the Day phase. There can be a cop, who can choose to investigate one person and find out their alignment (Mafia or Innocent) each night. There are even some for the Mafia. For instance, the hooker can kiss someone and they will generally fail (The doctor won't save, the cop will be told the wrong information). The spy can visit someone's house and see what happens during that time. Etc.
This game has been done on a Roleplay site of mine before, and I was curious to know if the people here on WD would like to try it out. For the first game, I will assume the role of the Narrator and run through it, assigning people their roles and receiving all PMs. Day phases will occur in the thread designated whereas night phases will occur through PMs or IMs. This thread here is for anyone to ask any questions (To which anyone who has played the game can answer) or to show interest. If we get enough people interested, then we can give it a shot here on WD. One major rule that will be implimented is that if you do not have any input during two day phases, you will be kicked from the game (In that you committed suicide) and your alignment will be revealed.
Oho yeah, man I'd be down. We could do this as an IC fun thread, no? Something aside from all other plots. It'd be tough. We'd have to know who is who, since it's all typed, but we'd have to be fair and write as though our characters didn't know.
But man. That'd be so bomb. With the org in it, too? Possibly pit against each other? Skell'd have fun with this, too. We should discuss rules more~
EDIT: reread original post more carefully... we could have a narrator mod it. Wow, what a complex game. Nonetheless, I'm down~

In europe we got the same card game but in a different setting. Called "Werewolves of Wakkerdam" It's basicly the same but with werewolves and townspeople. It's very popular.

Oh yeah! I remember the Wonderland one. Well we will see what happens, and we can adopt it as best as possible for the site. Anyone interested in helping me with the non-canonical Mafia game: WD Edition? If so, PM me and we can smooth out the details.
