In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Sir Lucas had remained silent during all this time. His woodbrown eyes shifting between the many attendants that arrived for the meeting. With the exception of Mikhail, Maxwell and Jack, he had never even seen them before. With his grim face that seemed to be set in stone the Wolf Knight followed the conversation. His face always locked on this extreme serious expression. Not a single smile or chuckle, not even a curling of the tips of his lips came from the tall ironclad male. Still the older adult kept his composure and manners by friendly nodding to all the people that arrived after him.
The modern way of talking was difficult for him to follow. But still he could follow what was being said when he paid attention and concentrated. The words of Mikhail were true indeed. His goal for Queen Minnie was to find allies for the Kingdom of Disney and the Guardians shared her ideals and motives. Strengthening the bond between the two is much needed in these dire and dark times.
But the mentioning of the keyblade wielder was what truly captivated his attention. His eyes spurred open as his breathing accelerated for a moment. As a gush of excitement flushed through his body. A shimmer of hope dangled in front of his eyes, an opportunity. With his deep voice he said: "You have the chance to address the keyblade wielder? Much I have been told about him and about the Keyblade. The means that is necessary to truly save a world from the Heartless blight."
Sir Lucas then turned to speak over the entire hut. Addressing all of the attendants. "I understand that many of you come from worlds destroyed by the Heartless. For that you all have my deepest sympathy and condolences. But there are still worlds out there that can still be saved. My homeworld is one of them. But time is urgent."
The latter he addressed to Mikhail again. As he continued on a softer tone and with a hint of determination in his voice. "I require the Keyblade to save my world. Mikhail, we have drawn swords together in battle. I would trust you with me life and I will stand by your judgment. But I must ask of thou, when thou return from this expedition. Then I must meet with this Keyblade Wielder. Will thou help me?"
Tension was stringing his body up. The fate of his entire homeworld was resting on his shoulders and was now weighing heavier then ever. He could not fail now, for the lives of his entire people would pay the price for that.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Max heard from behind him. He turned to see his friend Mikhail in the doorway, looking like he was having an absolutely horrible day. He went on to explain his reasoning for why sending Arthas and Shiro to investigate the Dark XII was a bad idea, and proposed an alternative. Max didn't question him as to his bad mood at the moment: he could do that later. No, just now, they had business to talk, and Max liked Mikhail's idea. It definitely made sense.
"I agree, however......I disagree with you on the Pride Lands," Max said, looking from Mikhail to Arthas and Shiro,"I don't know if any of you has been to a world called The Caribbean, but....it's a world already gripped by darkness, just due to it's very nature. It's out of worlds like that we'll find our strongest allies. Afterall, the strongest light is born out of the deepest darkness."
Max looked around at Arthas and Shiro for a moment, studying their faces, judging their reactions. Then, he turned back to Mikhail and said,"Well? What do you think, Mikhail? And Arthas and Shiro, you two speak up with any concerns you have."
''Whats with all the gloomy faces?'' someone said to another side of the room. Max turned and saw their old friend, Rex the Nobody, sitting there in a seat. It had been ages. Max was about to greet him when Sir Lucas uncharacteristically spoke up, inadvertently cutting Max off.
"You have the chance to address the keyblade wielder? Much I have been told about him and about the Keyblade. The means that is necessary to truly save a world from the Heartless blight," The large knight said, standing to address everyone there,"I understand that many of you come from worlds destroyed by the Heartless. For that you all have my deepest sympathy and condolences. But there are still worlds out there that can still be saved. My homeworld is one of them. But time is urgent. I require the Keyblade to save my world. Mikhail, we have drawn swords together in battle. I would trust you with me life and I will stand by your judgment. But I must ask of thou, when thou return from this expedition. Then I must meet with this Keyblade Wielder. Will thou help me?"
Max looked at Sir Lucas, and then looked back at Mikhail. He honestly didn't know what to say. He had been in the same position as Sir Lucas was now, albeit more ignorant about how to go about saving his homeworld, so he understood the man's feelings. However, he had no hand in this. It was all between him and Mikhail.....

Jason, having been around as the one known as Mikhail had mentioned a meeting of "The Guardians" and the "Mystical Shack", figured that this was something worth looking into. As he stood outside the door with the flame on it, Jason looked into his crystal ball, noticing everyone that stood in the small room. Some he knew, others he didn't. But this was something that interested Jason. A gathering of people that called themselves The Guardians... Jason felt like a guardian himself as he often protected people from the onslaught of heartless and the other nobodies. So with that, Jason opened the large door and stepped through.
As he noticed the pool of water with rocks moving back and forth, Jason's staff appeared in his hand as he quickly ran forward, light footsteps appearing as though he glided across the grass. Short quick hops allowed him to jump the rock bridge easily. Landing on the other side, He looked at the door at the front that was very well boarded up. Either they didn't want anyone in, or there was another way. So he walked around and slowly found an opening that was loosely covered up by a curtain. He could hear the voices of others inside. One voice was spoken by the one who claimed to be the Spokesperson of Queen Minnie. Seemed he was concerned about something big. But after a short period of silence, Jason stepped through the curtain and looked upon the people in the room.
He said nothing at the moment as he looked to the people there. Mikhail and Merlin were the two that stood out most as he had known them more then the others. Maxwell, Sir Lucas, and Jack had just been met. Rose he had met briefly before and explained the heartless and nobodies to her in more depth. And as for Arthas, Shiro, and Caxnon, Jason had no idea as to who they were. But either way, he still was unsure as to why they were here in the first place. "Mikhail... So this is the meeting that you mentioned back in the First District? Hmm...." He said, walking forward, his staff still held in his hand. Something would come of this meeting, of that Jason was sure. Clearly there was more reason for him to have come to Traverse Town this time....
The first thing Rose noticed was that every person in this place was a guy. Then she noticed that one of them was giving her the once over. Jack Styx, huh? She returned the favor, and didn't hate what she saw. Brown hair, not a weakling, though his clothes seemed a little dorky. She gave him a loaded smile and a suggestive wink, then turned back to Mikhael. She would talk to him afterwards. "So, I know we're a little late to the party, though if this is one, then it sucks. I get the feeling I missed out on the mission-passing-out round, but got anything that requires firepower or tech skills?" Then she motioned at her shadow, smiling one of her patented don't-start-anything-unless-you-enjoy-being-shot smiles. "Or the abilities of a powerful, tame Heartless?"

OOC: Let's not worry about posting order at the moment. Post as you see fit, but don't let it get too far ahead and leave someone completely behind within the time of like....2 or 3 days.
Arthas barely acknowledged as the others started arriving, for he was sitting back in his chair, eyes closed. He kept them closed for a while, until he heard a few other voices talking. Opening his eyes, he noticed that quite a few people had appeared. With a small smile, he thought,
They've really outdone themselves.
As he listened to his mission assignment from Mikhail, who had recently arrived, and rubbed his chin with his hand.
"Well, I have noticed the Heartless frequency in several worlds has increased. Would you have any theories on why?" Arthas leaned back in his chair, rubbed his nose, then continued.
"Because I feel that should be priority. But that's your guys' choice, not mine."

Heaven had been remaining outside for a while now, though getting here was a little hard. Hopefully people knew she was out there, if not, then she'd soon go inside, at the moment she was only keeping watch, making sure that nothing went wrong and no one was being followed. Everything seemed fine, people went in without any trouble, though she couldn't stop herself from giggling lightly as she saw someone appear completely soaked and head towards the door.
"Nobody. Say. Anything,"
The young summoner coughed softly to compose herself, it was quite a sight to see, but she needed to remain at least a little serious during this. She blinked slightly as a gust of wind brushed past her and rattled the door, soon causing the rest of the hut to shake for a while. Well... whoever that was sure does like to make an entrance, she smiled at the thought.
Already it seemed the meeting was taking place, but it was no bother for her, she could just about make out what was being said from outside the door. She stayed outside a little longer just in case anyone else showed up, she didn't want anyone to be left out. Luckily, a familiar face had appeared just in time, a smile spread across Heaven's lips as she watched him walk inside, he seemed partially serious and focussed about this it seemed.
When she turned to look at the door, she could hear the meeting progressing. It appeared that Mikhail wasn't going to waste any time on this, then again, it was probably what everyone needed. Just as she was about to enter the hut, she heard a light splash, immediately turning to see someone heading towards her and the hut. Though it was safe to say it was no threat, just another member.
Alright, enough waiting. She was sure that it was good enough to go in now. With a gentle sigh, Heaven opened up the door, politely closing it behind her. "Sorry about that... I was just wanted to one last safety check before joining you all, my apologies," she smiled, chuckling awkwardly before stepping further into the room.
Well, at least now was a good chance to see those who had joined the meeting. She was quite surprised to see a few familiar faces there to be honest, her first smile was directed at Shiro, one she had fought in battle with the Heartless a few times before, she didn't know him all too well, but her first encounter with him was one she wouldn't forget... he had helped her after all.
Max she had once helped back in Radiant Garden due to his Gummi Ship breaking down, they had fought alongside each other, too. She had to admit, she had enjoyed their encounter that time. Clearing her throat slightly as she pulled down the hood to her cloak and looked at those she didn't know. "Oh, for those of you whom I haven't met," she shaped her hands into a sphere and bowed "I am Lady Kyrie Fallen, a Summoner, it's very nice to meet you all."
Now that introductions were out of the way, she then turned to Max, placing her finger to her lips for a short moment before speaking. "I hope I can be of some assistance, if it's alright with you, I could always stay here and make sure this area remains safe and unharmed along with anyone else who might be doing so," she said softly, picking at some imaginary dust on her skirt "if not, I completely understand if I'm needed elsewhere..."
For some reason, she couldn't help but feel as if she had forgotten someone.

Shiro simply nodded back at Max, and then walked over to a wall and slowly rested his back against it. He said to get comfortable, did he not? So the gravity controller let out a small sigh and watched as more joined the hut. Sir Lucas and Jack Styx were the next ones to arrive. When Jack entered, it seemed that he had gotten a little wet. That would’ve stunk if Shiro was in Jack’s position. It was a good thing he could manipulate gravity when he wanted to. Otherwise, he’d probably be the one soaked.
Almost instantly after Max greeted Jack, the house started shaking. Before he could even introduce himself the wizard who had just appeared, the unexpected happened. Being picked up wasn’t the first thing he thought would happen. Apparently, the wizard of the house didn’t like him shutting a door. He wanted to defend himself verbally, but he didn’t want to seem rude, because it was the old man’s house after all. Once he was dropped, he quickly altered his gravity so he didn’t collapse on the floor. Then leaning back against the wall again, he turned his head and sighed as if nothing happened.
Listening to Max’s words, he simply nodded at his assignment. So he and Arthas would be starting a research project on the Dark XII. The man didn’t like the fact that Merlin, the one who had picked him up earlier, was going to be involved a little. Oh well, he’d just act like nothing had happened. But the decision wasn’t officially made yet, since Mikhail entered the room with a different plan. Finally, Shiro saw a familiar face.
Great, a new world he would have to visit. Apparently he’d have to go to the “Pride Lands” to recruit allies. Before he could say his opinion, two others joined them. He was about to introduce himself to the man, until a girl entered the room. So she was the first female member who had entered the hut. Well that was good. At least he knew that the Guardians weren’t just made up of male members. That fact game him a slight hope of the possibility of V joining. He’d feel much better if he had his love standing beside him in a mission.
Now there were two worlds that he might go to. It was between the “Pride Lands” and “The Caribbean”. He didn’t care about which one he’d go to, as long as the mission would help out the universe. As more arrived, Shiro didn’t try to introduce himself, because he knew he’d just get interrupted. The gravity controller did think about where he had seen the girl named “Lady Kyrie Fallen” before. Where had he seen her before? It was puzzling, because he remembered the face, but not the event where they had met. Oh well, he’d have to think about it later. Turning his attention towards his mission, he finally said something about it.
”So what’s the nature of the Caribbean? What is the environment like?” Shiro asked. Max said it was dark due to its nature. So he was curious on what it was like on that world. He had been to Halloween Town. Was it like that?

((Oh dear, too many people to reply to @.@ oh by the way, I'll ship Rock from now on XDDD))
Before Mikhail could answer the upcoming questions, Max had spoken once again, agreeing with the pyromancer's plan... to some extent, at least. Though he hadn't visited the world, he sure had heard of The Caribbean, a world of pirates, He nodded, silently letting his friend know that he agreed with his suggestion. The hydromancer spoke the truth, after all; darkness toughened up people's hearts, letting their light stay strong as they hoped for a better world, for a brighter future.
A familiar voice suddenly rang within the small cottage, triggering a smile across the pyromancer's face. It had been a while since he had seen Caxnon and his new... body. They hadn't really come to discuss it but Mikhail had detected the sudden change in his aura; it was almost as if he had a heart now. He looked at the ex-nobody, offering him a single nod before turning around to look at Sir Lucas, who had just addressed him.
The warrior spoke in a matter-of-factly way, just as if he was commenting on the weather or the occasional Heartless attack. The mention of the keyblade seemed to have ignited something within him, something that couldn't be stopped. His tone changed, sounding more determined and quite desperate as he reached the end of the monologue. Normally, Mikhail would be annoyed by the apparent selfishness in his request; he had just seemed to care only about his homeworld and nothing else. The pyromancer, however, had felt like him at some point. He had been willing to anything to save Elona, anything. But he had failed, and his homeworld was long lost to the darkness.
"Alright," he began, taking a deep breath before continuing. "I'll speak to the keyblade wielder and see if he wants to help us."
The pyromancer himself was willing to join Sir Lucas in his expedition to save his homeworld. Saving a world would truly help him and the Guardians as a whole; it would show them that they weren't working for a pointless cause. He placed a reassuring hand on the older man's shoulder and, just as he opened his mouth to speak once more, more people began to arrive.
The girl he had recruited in Radiant Garden, Rose (or Red One, like he used to call her), had just crashed their small "party". Rutherford wouldn't have thought twice about inviting her if there had been more time, but the meeting had kind of been an emergency one. He smiled, noticing the immediate spark between her and his own apprentice, Jack. Yes, he would tease the younger boy about this later.
"Hello Rose, it's nice to see you here. I'm surprised you didn't bring Halen along, though." Mikhail wasn't stupid, though. He knew exactly why the Neoshadow remained hidden among them; the sudden appearance of a Heartless would alert several of their members and he would totally see Max wanting to strike him down.
Jason walked inside right behind Rose, addressing Mikhail as soon as he saw him. The pyromancer had to admit, he hadn't been expecting the nobody to join their little meeting. Still he would be a fool to send Arilani away and reject his help; after all, Jason possessed great knowledge about the dangers across the universe and this information could really benefit their group.
And last but not least Heaven stepped inside the hut, closing the door shut behind her. Merlin would probably be upset; his small house was fully packed and the crowd probably wouldn't be leaving soon. Eleven individuals stood beneath the same roof, all sharing the same goal.
The same destiny.
Mikhail remained silent for a while, giving everyone else a chance to voice their opinions before doing so himself. Some asked about their missions, others simply offered their help. Though they weren't that of a small group, The Guardians would need to increase their numbers in order to be actually a threat to the Dark XII's plans. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he glanced around, already thinking assigning tasks to those that remained without ones.
"Rose, how much time would it take you to build..." His voice trailed off for a moment as he silently recounted their numbers. "Eleven communication devices? They would need to be small, easy to hide, but also reliable and unique."
"As for the recent Heartless attacks, they can only mean one thing: the Dark XII are moving and even the weakest of their subbordinates feel the urge to increase their numbers. We must stay sharp and act with haste before the destruction reaches familiar ground."
"Traverse Town is safe under the care of Jadis, the White Witch; the world shall not be targetted so soon. Heaven, I want you to go and speak to the Restoration Comittee in Radiant Garden and get their support for our cause. I am sure Master Merlin can help you with that. Caxnon, you shall go to the world of Hallowen Town and make sure everything's in order. Don't waste any possible recruiting opportunities."
He now turned to Jason, giving him a look full of wonder. The man already knew the answer he would listen but he felt the need to ask anyway. "Will you help our cause, Jason? We seek to bring peace and balance to the universe, nothing more."
M I K H A I L R U T H E R F O R D "MAYBE I'LL TAKE YOU THERE... SOMEDAY..."
Rose chuckled. "Oh, he's here. He just isn't obvious. Now, about the radios, you want simple ones, or do you want me to go full blown techo-wizard? I can steal a crate from this place on my old world, but if you want interplanetary use then that will require a lot more work. Not to mention either a satelite uplink system, or some very heavy magic." She then held up her arm computer. "Unless, of course, you mean you want some of these? 'Cause they are a lot harder to get ahold of. And, building eleven would take a couple months. Then you still have the same problem regarding interplanetary use. No way to avoid that." She glanced around at the people in the building with her. "Plus, no offense, but there appear to be a few technologically challenged people here. The more complicated the sytems, the harder they will be to use."
Another thought hit her as she considered the radio problem. "You know, the Heartless and the Nobodies have emblems to declare their allegiance. Do we have an emblem? cause, if not, I've been doing some research, and I think I can make one for the radios, as a way to identify each other, and any new people we get. That way, everyone we work with knows what team we are."

As everyone started asking various questions, Max let Mikhail handle the ones he could by himself, as he took care of the ones he knew his friend would have no clue about. He listened to everything being said, especially that being spoken by Rose. Interworld communication would be a gift from Siira herself, if they could get it. He directed his first comments, however, to Shiro and Arthas, since their mission would be the most dangerous of them all. Afterall, they were going to a world practically ruled by PIRATES.
”So what’s the nature of the Caribbean? What is the environment like?” Shiro asked first. Max nodded. A good question.
"First of all, there's a lot of pirates and rogues there," Max said, leaning forward to address both Shiro and Arthas, making sure they both listened closely to his words,"I've been there several times. None of those times was exactly...pleasant. It's not particularly dangerous, however, so long as you're careful. The biggest danger will be to your pockets and valuables, rather than your lives.
"However....make sure you stay in the brighter, more populated areas. The more deserted areas have Heartless. Try to steer clear of them as much as you can. We don't want too much attention drawn to our presence yet. We just want to find a few people willing to help us out. If anything goes wrong, get out of there. I don't want anyone hurting any of you guys over a drunken rage."
"Well, I have noticed the Heartless frequency in several worlds has increased. Would you have any theories on why?" Arthas asked Max as he finished speaking. The question was tough, but Max had his own theories that he'd pieced together based on what he'd seen and what he'd heard from Queen Minnie through Sir Lucas.
"Well, that's a hard question," Max said with a sigh,"However...I think I have a bit of an idea. The Heartless at this time are being lead by a group called the Dark XII, extremely powerful Heartless unlike any other. They are capable of intelligent thought, and want nothing but to spread darkness to every corner of every world until that is all that's left.
"Not all that long ago, I encountered two of their members, a fire wielder by the name of Lea, and another one who seemed to be higher ranking than the fire wielder. The second one didn't stay long, but I was forced to fight Lea in order to save a woman's life. Let's just say I barely managed to escape, and almost got burned to a crisp in the process. If you encounter anyone with yellow eyes - and I don't mean hazel, but yellow as the sun - then I want you two to get out of there quick. We're not ready to take them head-on yet. We need to gather our strength and get more organized first.
"Then......we'll take the fight to them," He said, giving the two a good look,"Now, you two, go ahead and discuss among yourself how you're going to carry out your assignment in the Caribbean. It should only take a couple weeks, if that, so report back as quickly as you can, understood? You can send a message to my gummi ship, and Screamer will forward it to me when he can."
At that, Max turned to Rose. Her talk of the interplanetary communications was intriguing. Satellites and such, he'd heard talk of before. He wondered, though...
"Rose, you say we'd need satellites to relay...what was it? Signals? Well, would it be entirely possible for us to use relay stations already established by others? If so, it would be infinitely easier, wouldn't it? As far as the complexity, it doesn't have to do anything more than allow us to communicate anywhere, anytime. If you can manage it, it would be incredibly helpful. also, if you could make as many as you possibly can, not just eleven, that would be great. We plan on increasing our numbers past what we've got so far."
Post by Jason Arilani on Apr 25, 2011 2:46:32 GMT -4
Jason listened as Mikhail explained the current Situation before turning to him and asking him to join them. Jason hadn't anticipated joining a group such as this, but he would need to make sure they were fine with him being a nobody first. If they didn't know and then it was found out, it could lead to potential problems later. "I have no problems joining your cause and agree with it. But, that is, if you don't mind a nobody joining your cause." He said as he removed his right glove, revealing the scarred skin and the nobody symbol that rested on his flesh. The scarred skin was from him trying to literally tear the nobody symbol off. He showed it to the group before replacing his glove. If no attack came, then Jason would smile an emotionless smile before leaning against the wall. If one did come, then he would simply slip through a portal of darkness and leave the group immediately.
However, should there be no attack, Jason would continue. "Very well... Now that that is out of the way, I would be honored to join your gathering of Guardians. And I may have something of great value to offer. You see.... When I was a human, I was a scientist. And I studies the heartless and nobodies, possibly creating some of the first ones to exist. I learned to split humans into the two forms and even successfully returned a heartless and a nobody to a human form. Obviously my main goal is to be Human once again. But my old laboratory would probably be of great help. However...." He said, looking to the group.
"It currently resides in Radiant Garden, a place that has a security system against nobodies. That being the case, I cannot step into the city without being attacked. I need some way to talk to the Radiant Garden Restoration and Upkeep Committee in hopes that they will aid me in this. I had hoped that the keyblader, Sora, or King Mickey would be of some help, but had not gotten a chance to do so as of yet. So if you want my help, then fine. It is yours. All I ask for in return is help getting to my old lab. It even has a meeting room large enough for all of us to fit and then some. Better then cramping inside a small shack such as this, yes?" He said, looking to Mikhail and wondering what his response would be. He knew that this was going to lead to good things in the end. Now its just a matter of figuring out whether or not they would succeed.
"I thank thee Mikhail. I shall return to her Majesty, the Queen Minnie. When thou return or require me, I will be present there." Was Sir Lucas his answer to Mikhail. A breathless sigh of relief escaped his mouth as his shoulders relaxed back down. The Wolf Knight then stepped back as his dealings with Mikhail were done. Allowing him to direct his attention then to the others. His matter was solved, silently he observed the others.
As the discussion turned to more technical terms, the tall black haired man squinted his eyes a bit as a slightly confused expression overtook his face. The course and the context of the conversation was eluding him more and more. He did not understand the concept of radio's and the unknown words that were said.
As Jason then answered Maxwel and started to explain his story, Sir Lucas only watched silently. Even though him was told about the Heartless and the keyblades. The concepts of the Nobodies was still unknown to him. Making him blink not understanding at the scarred Nobody symbol on Jason's hand. The fact Jason called himself a 'Nobody' caused nothing more then make him believe Jason had a serious minority complex going on. The details concerning Radiant Garden were also topics of which he did not know the necessary background to fully understand what was being said.
But Sir Lucas just waited silently and patiently for the meeting to end. So that they could finally commence on the tasks at hand.
"Alright, that I can do. Pile of radios: Check. However, we shouldn't use other people's established stuff. We need our own network, so those satellites are a requirement. However, lucky for you, Earth doesn't have any Heartless, so the space part shouldn't cause any difficulties." She stopped talking for a minute as she typed on her computer. "Alright. I need two teams of people. One team gets the milk run, gathering the satellites in space. The other team is coming with me. We're going to break into a heavily defended compound, and steal everything radio related that isn't nailed down. Survival is not guaranteed. Of course, we'll have to get there first, and the Florida Wastes are just crawling with things itching to peal your skin off and eat your internal organs." She grinned and looked around. "I need three people for the radio mission, and there should be two to get the satellites. Raise your hands if you want to go. But before you do, questions, comments, requests to just shoot you now and get it over with? Also, can anyone handle large firearms?"

M I K H A I L R U T H E R F O R D "I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU ENDED UP SLAIN BY ONE OF THEM."
He simply blinked, seriously confused by the female's reply. All of this satellite talk was just too complicated for him; after all, Mikhaill had been born as a knight, not as an engineer or researcher. His own world wasn't really advanced technology-wise in the first place and the only reason he knew a bit about the subject was the constant lecturing of his ship's artificial intelligence, Eve. He still remembered that dreadful day when she had forced him to learn and perfectly recite the routes to many of the world they had visited.
The pyromancer was initially relieved when Max decided to join the conversation. He had to admit it; his friend had slightly surprised him with his knowledge regarding these satellites. Their worlds had been quite similar but Mikhail had always assumed that the hydromancer's was a bit more advanced. Remaining silent, he pondered about what was being discussed; sure, using what others had already created would save them a lot of time but wouldn’t that leave the possibility of having their transmissions intercepted? He wasn’t willing to take that big risk; they weren’t ready to take that big risk… at least, not now.
”The symbols would certainly be a good idea. I’m supposing that they would bring some protection to our signals going back and forth, am I right? We also get an advantage when using our own satellites: most of the Heartless, including the Dark XII, don’t fancy Gummi Ships and stick to their portals of darkness. They will have a hard time finding the satellites and cutting off our communications. Also, they would probably be safe from the roaming Gummi Heartless; those are only interested in hearts and artificial structures wouldn’t really catch their eye.”
He folded his arms across his chest, resting his back against one of the hut’s walls as he spoke. Rose could be their main technology whiz but making her work alone on the radios might be just too much for the girl. The Guardians fortunately had another expert among their ranks, though he unfortunately wasn’t present in the meeting. Anyway, perhaps Rose could contact the man and get his help; he had agreed to help them after all.
”Well, there’s a man in Radiant Garden. His name is Saxen and he’s quite able with all of this technology stuff. Have you met him already, Rose? I’m sure I could go and get him for you to help with the radios and satellites.”
Mikhail turned to look at Jason, who was interested in joining their little group of Guardians. The pyromancer certainly wasn't surprised by the sudden revelation; Arilani's aura screamed nothingness like most of the other nobody auras he had seen. However that didn't guarantee that the others would take the same course of action and Mikhail proceeded to look at every single one of them, especially at Max. While he didn't exactly know where his thoughts about Nobodies stood, Rutherford had seen his reaction to Heartless and it wasn't polite at all.
"Deal. I'll talk to the Committee when we're back from Atlantis and somehow get you access to the city. After all, you're not the only one "banned" from Radiant Garden." Jason's lab would be a much more comfortable enviroment for the time being, but it was nothing more than a temporary base. The Guardians would eventually need to find a place of their own... some place that would be hard to find by non-members. Taking a mental note to discuss this with Max later, he turned and looked at Heaven once again.
"Heaven, I'd like to have a word with you. Shall we go outside?" Mikhail opened the small hut's door and walked through it right after the summoner. He couldn't talk to the others so easily about the subject; after all, the task he would be giving her wouldn't be so... legal, for the lack of the better word. After making sure no one was eavesdropping at them, the pyromancer spoke. "Heaven, I need you to do something for me as soon as you get to Radiant Garden... and also before you meet with the Restoration Committee. It can sound quite confusing and strange at first but, believe me, it's the only way to do it. I don't think they will listen to me and immediately grant my requests... there's some bad blood between them and Heartless and Nobodies..."
A sigh.
"I want you to find someone capable of hacking into the town's security system. I'd send Rose or Saxen to do that but they'll be busy with the radios; it's the only way and we need to do it as soon as possible. I've heard rumors about a secret mercenary guild across the galaxy. Perhaps you can start from there? They apparently do have some honor and keep their employers secret as well as their jobs. And also, don't tell anyone about this unless it's absolutely necessary, not even Max. Do you have any questions?"
