In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Vapor continued to walk over while Era trotted past him and stood under the cover, leaving room for him. He was almost there when there was a loud roar from the sky, a roar of anger from the thunder. "When she said storms, she really meant storms." He thought to himself, as he lent against the wall next to Era, looking out at the ever darkening sky. "What to do next?" was but one of the questions going through Vapor's mind at this time.
"What now?" He asked Era, thinking she might have some sort of a plan. It could be anything, as long as it didn't involve him going back to what he was doing before he met her, this was the most interesting thing that had happened for a while.
The girl took a deep breath, filling her lungs with the smell of the rain on the pavement, listening to the symphony of the raindrops colliding with the ground. Sure, the thunder occasionally caught her off guard, but she was enjoying the experience of the weather, able to more comfortably do so thanks to little shelter from the rain.
Then he asked about what they'd do next. While post people without a plan would begrudgingly go on, trying to re-adjust themselves to a logical next step, Era just smiled. "We take the next step." She smiled and eyed the taller male. "Since this track down seemed to be a dud, I guess I'm off to find somewhere else that could jog my memory." As if figuring out her past life could be so easy.
Frost-colored eyes awaited a response from her new acquaintance to see if that answer was good enough.
Stood under the small overhang in the roof, taking cover from the rain, Vapor watched the rain fall in front of him, waiting for a response. "We take the next step." was what he got. Which to her meant looking around for more places to jog her memory after this one failed. "Might as well ask her if I can help. It's not like I have anything better to do."
He stepped out into the rain, turned to face Era and asked that. "Need a hand?" He then turned away and faced the sky, not troubled by the rain, as he waited patiently for a reply to see whether or not his day would be filled in.
Era paused, thinking over Vapor's generous offer. "I don't know that you could help me," the words were spoken softly as to avoid any cruel connotations. But honestly, they were her memories. How could anyone outside her own mind help her track them down?
Then, her eyes lit with a new fire. It was a small one, but one that spoke of hope. "Unless. . ." the mumble was hardly audible. It was probably something Vapor wasn't even intended to hear.
Despite the odds of this guy actually being able to help her, she just had to ask. After all, hope inspired one to exhaust every option -- no matter how practical it those options were. Vigor set a new and lively spring to the words that followed. ". . . Do you know someone named Rook?"
Raindrops were running off Vapor's face and hair and splashing off the ground, it seemed as though they would never cease. He then heard Era's reply to his offer: "I don't know that you could help me." She then asked him whether or not he knew someone named Rook, and he quickly replied "No." He hadn't really met anyone worth remembering before now so that was easily answered.
But Vapor couldn't help wondering about this Rook; who he is and why he was mentioned. Vapor stepped back under the cover from the rain and leant on the wall next to Era. He turned his head to face her. "Who is he?"
"An old friend of mine," she replied, the vigor in her eyes and voice dying down a notch. She'd last seen him when he came to save her from the Heartless, but was dragged away. She knew he was alive. Her Heart told her that much... but she couldn't stop to look for him. Not when she'd been so close to unveiling another memory.
She'd perked up again in no time, however, curious about something that might actually pertain to her chase. "Do you have a gummi ship?" She'd always wanted to see one up close, but had never gotten the chance to before.
Vapor noticed the vigor in her eyes drop because of his answer, but it was quickly back again when she asked if Vapor owned a gummi ship. "No, sorry." He began to feel bad about the fact that he was being no help whatsoever for Era.
He let his feet slide slowly out from under him as his back slid down the wall until he reached the ground. He looked out at the rain, watching it as it seemingly endlessly fell. "Wish I was more help." He said, with only one thought in his at this point. "I wish I could help her.. She seems like a nice girl."
Era just continued to smile. "Nonsense. That just means we'll have to find one... If you intend to travel with me." She'd never taken anyone with her before. And to continue their search, they'd need to either find or buy a gummi ship.
He looked back at Era. She was still smiling, which was good, and said they would need to find one. Where were they going to find a gummi ship? It's not like everyone has a spare one they are willing to part with.
"Where?" He hoped she had some form of idea of where to go.
She shrugged. "Guess we'll have to get some clues from the locals." It was obvious. Era was a strange girl. For starters, her punkish outfit hardly matched her happy-go-lucky attitude. She was pitted in a circumstantial chasm that should've caused her to throw positivity out with the garbage. She was still confused about who she was, and still confident she could find out. She was fearful of the future. She was clueless of the past. Era was a lot of things, but she was not hopeless.
Bending over so she could lean in closer to him, she offered an outstretched hand to the boy sitting against the wall. "So what do you say we start looking?"
Vapor took Era's hand and pulled himself to his feet. "Alright." Asking the locals seemed like a good plan and they didn't really have any other way of finding one. He stepped out from under to roof to let the rain land on his face; he enjoyed the feeling of rain on his skin.
He turned to face Era, who was still stood under the cover of the roof. "Lets go." he said to her. "I hope we find one quick. She'll be soaked to the bone if we don't."
There was the grasp on her hand she'd been waiting for, but she found it difficult to pull him up, despite her best intentions, and she found herself leaning backward a bit in order to counterbalance Vapor's weight. It wasn't even that he was heavy at all... but rather that Era was almost too light.
Seeing him back on his feet brought her a small level of satisfaction. Giving up had never been in her blood, and for as long as she had breath in her, she wasn't going to let anyone around her give up, either.
The rain may have added a little extra weight to her clothing, but other than that, she'd hardly given any heed to the fact she was growing ever wetter. No, no. Era was far too interested in the rhythm of the pitter-patting droplets, playing like the background beat to some sort of heavenly symphony.
She inhaled, letting fresh smell the moisture brought with it permeate her lungs. It was no secret -- she enjoyed the rain as much as she enjoyed the summer sun... But a chilly wind was picking up, which was sure to add discomfort to her blissful escapade.
Maybe an umbrella to deflect the rain wouldn't have been such a bad thing, after all.
Even if she was thinking it, she'd never voice that she was getting cold. It wasn't her style to tell others about her troubles... Much less to dwell on them herself. So, she distracted her mind from the newfound cold by keeping her eyes peeled for any sign of help in finding the ships they sought: but the presence of people on the streets was getting pretty slim. Most of them had probably diverted to buildings for cover. So, who knew? Maybe someone in one of the shops down the road could help them out.
From what she could see, it looked like there was a shop for Weapons, one for Clothing, and one for Accessories. And, there was a Bar. The rain had driven the Kiosks to close, it seemed. The bright fluorescent lights that announced the presence of each store had even been turned off.
But the light to the Bar was still on. So, that must've been where they would go next in their people-search. It was called the Frosted Flame. "Let's try over there!" Era's small, gloved fingers tightened around Vapor's wrist, and with her free hand she pointed toward the intended location. And just maybe, someone inside would know where they could get a Gummi-Ship... Either to buy, or for a one-way Taxi ride.
Vapor felt the cool breeze against him, made colder by the fact that it was wet, but it didn't bother him. He looked up at the grey clouds overhead, as the rain fell hard and fast, it didn't seem like it was going to let up anytime soon.
He turned his attention back to the matter at hand; finding a gummi ship. He looked around at the nearby shops, and noticed that all but the bar, The Frosted Flame, were closed. "Must be because of the rain." He thought. "Guess it our only choice."
He was going to say to try there, but at that moment, Vapor heard Era say "Let's try over there!" and he felt her grip tighten around his wrist. He saw her pointing toward the very bar he was going to mention. "Alright." He started strolling over to The Frosted Flame, hoping somebody inside would have a lead for them to follow in order to obtain a gummi ship, or just a ride to another world.
With one last glance at their drenched surroundings, Era tugged him toward the door to their next destination. And, filling her lungs once more with the sweet smell of moisture, she pushed open the door to the Frosted Flame.
She had a feeling that their search would turn out well. Only time would tell the truth.
Whilst making his way to the bar, Vapor looked up at the sky to see if the rain was going to stop any time soon, which it wasn't. The tug on his arm pulled Vapor toward the door of the Frosted Flame, making him turn to face where he was being pulled to, instead of the sky. He followed Era as she opened the door and entered the Frosted Flame.
