In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

It is such a shame something so beautiful is infested with those so vile...
Ashe's hand slipped off the crystal she had placed it on, staring into its reflective surface. With a sigh, she walked to the entrance and looked at the cliffed area. The large open space seemed abandoned, and looked safe enough, so she walked into the open, sword drawn and held at her side. Every now and then she looked around and behind her, but sighed with relief when she didn't see any Heartless. Belias was ready to be summoned in case she was in trouble, but Ashe actually wanted the experience of fighting these creatures. Hardly ever had she been forced to fight alone, and preferred company. And she especially missed Penelo, Vaan, and the others, for they had helped her win back her throne.
A throne she could no longer control, but she was here to save her people, not for any other reason. However, she knew that without the supplies in her airship, she wouldn't make it that far. Simply walking around the stores had informed her of the mass number of worlds there were, and she intended to search each and every one.
So on she walked, to once again overlook the Heartless castle. All the time not noticing the yellow eyes in the shadows...

"A nice change of scenery.." Vapor thought as he admired the cliffs surrounding the large open area. He'd rarely been out here in his time living in Radiant Garden, mostly because there is usually nobody out here. But, Vapor had decided he wanted a change of scenery.
As he wandered about, looking around in case there was actually somebody there, he noticed a small girl cautiously making her way through the open space. "Didn't expect to see anyone here." He though and, since he had nothing better to do, Vapor decided to go up to her and keep her company. He started jogging so he could catch up to her and, once he did, he made sure approached her in a way that wouldn't startle her because he noticed the girl had her weapon drawn and Vapor wouldn't want her to suddenly turn on him.
"Hey there." Vapor said to her, with a smile on his face.
Ashe started as she heard the other voice, and sword flew through the air, stopping a hair away from the stranger's neck. Once she realized it wasn't a Heartless, she lowered the sword a bit, and gave him a cold look. "Who are you, to be following me while I'm out here?" She was about to continue, but the yellow glow of a Neoshadow's eyes caught her attention, and she pushed the stranger to the side, thrusting her sword through the Neoshadow's head a second before he lunged at the stranger.
More Heartless started to appear, making a ring around the two people, eager to steal their hearts.
5 Neoshadows 7 Armored Knights 5 Watchers
"Duck!" yelled Ashe to the boy as she threw an ignited Onion Bomb. With an explosion, it hit a few Heartless, but didn't cause major damage. However, Belias did not come to her yet, and she almost cursed in frustration and anger. Why couldn't anything go right for her?

Vapor jumped back a bit when the girl's sword flew toward him, and sighed when it stopped right next to his neck. He saw the cold look on her face and was beginning to think if speaking to her was the right idea or not. She spoke, asking Vapor who he was and why he was following her, but just as he was about to answer, the girl pushed him to the side. He turned to see a Neoshadow disappearing.
He was going to thank her, but Heartless starting appearing and surrounded the two, and had quickly circled them, leaving them no room for escape. "Duck!" He heard the girl shout, so he did. Just in time too, a bomb went rushing past him, just above his head, and exploded next to few Heartless, only damaging them.
His two daggers, Hyd and Ro, were quick to be whipped out of there holsters. He spun to see two Armored Knights advancing on him. He held out his arm infront of him and, after a couple seconds, a small ball of water had formed in his hand which he then sent flying at one Armored Knight. As the ball hit the Heartless, slightly damaging it, Vapor rushed in on the other. He jumped up and over it's attempt to swing at him, and threw both his daggers down at the ground below, where the Knight was still recovering from it's attack. The daggers sliced through it, destroying the Heartless.
Vapor landed on the ground, next to his daggers, and retrieved them. His attention then returned to the other Armored Knight he had hit, which was now accompanied by a Watcher. "I hope this goes well.."
With a circular swing of her sword, Ashe dispatched an Armored Knight and a Watcher, then turned and looked behind her to see another Armored Knight swinging a sword at her. She blocked with her shield, knocked it away then slashed at its neck area, causing it to disappear into darkness as well. However, the ones defeated had been replaced, and were starting to head towards her. She let loose a few desperate Blizzara magic, but it turned out to be futile.
So, with a quick hand movement, a white aura briefly surrounded her. As she raised the hand, six balls of light fell from the sky, landing within the Heartless. As she brought the hand down, the white balls erupted, releasing light magic and damaging the Heartless. Once again, the white orbs fell, repeating the proscess once. However, Ashe cut off the attack after two, seeing the Heartless had disappeared.
Turning to the boy, she held out a hand and said, "I appoligize for my previous mistrust. My name is Ashe, what's..."
What she didn't expect was the Veil Lizard to appear and slap her away with her tail, knocking her a good distance away from the boy and also sending her sword flying away from her. With a moan, she tried to get up, but felt the broken rib and stayed still, cursing at herself for using Northswain's Glow and wasting all her mana.
Vapor was about to charge in on the advancing Heartless when a bright light appeared behind him. He turned to see six orbs of light among the Heartless, which suddenly exploded in a bright flash of light, destroying most of the enemies. The same happened again, this time finishing off the few remaining Heartless.
He faced the girl as she began to speak, introducing herself as Ashe. He was about to shake her outstretched hand when a giant lizard-like Heartless appeared and knocked her away quite some distance. The lizard then turned to Vapor. "Looks like I'll have to take you myself." He thought, knowing this was going to be a tough fight.
He slowly circled the Heartless, waiting for it to make the first move. It only took a few seconds for the beast to spin, whipping it's tail round to hit Vapor. This was Vapor's opportunity. He leaped up and over the lizard's tail and swung at it with both daggers on his way down. The hit connected but didn't seem to damage the Heartless much. As soon as he landed, he leaped back a bit to put some distance between him and the enemy, to give him a small amount of time to think. This time was especially short as the Heartless didn't waste any time in it's next attack. It fired a couple lasers, one from each eye, at Vapor. He cartwheeled off to the side, and avoided getting hurt.
He took a quick glance over toward Ashe, who was still lying on the ground, and she looked unable to stand. He turned back to the Veil Lizard in time to see two more lasers being fired at him. Again, he cartwheeled off to the side, but this time he wasted no time in retaliating. He pushed of the ground as soon as his feet touched it, and flew toward the Heartless. He slashed a three hit combo on this beast, which didn't phase it in the slightest. "This is bad.."
By this time, Ashe had managed to get to her knees, and was attempting to stand, but wasn't making much leeway. She looked hopelessly at her sword, then let out an enraged yell and punched the ground, focusing her mind. As her rage built, the sparkles of a simple Cure spell surrounded her, and she stood, massaging the rib that had moments ago been broken.
She ran toward her longsword, scooping it up and then turning toward the lizard Heartless, standing next to Vapor. As she rushed in, she got underneath one of the legs, able to avoid both the lasers and the tail, and swiped three times at the chest of it.
Then she jumped out, feeling mana build with each hit. Getting out of range and pulling Vapor with her, she lifted her sword again, waiting for the next attack.
((Alright, you get to control the Heartless. >D))

Another sphere of water starting forming in the palm of Vapor's hand, and he was about to send it flying at the Lizard, but a loud yell from Ashe's direction distracted him and the ball disappeared into thin air. He turned to see her on her feet, rushing toward the Heartless, sword in hand.
Not only had this yell distracted Vapor, but the Lizard too. Vapor took this opportunity to charge up another Aqua Shot, which he fired at the Lizard, attempting to turn it's attention back to Vapor. It simply ignored the hit and started firing lasers at Ashe, who was quickly closing in on the target.
The Heartless let out a cry as Ashe swung at it's chest and Vapor hit it with another Aqua Shot. It attempted swinging it's tail, but missed by quite a distance. Vapor was getting ready to fire off yet another Aqua Shot, when Ashe pulled him away, out of range of the Heartless.
Vapor took this time to introduce himself, "Name's Vapor, by the way." He took up a fighting stance and awaited the Veil Lizard to attack. This didn't take long as it immediately approached them firing off lasers which were easily enough avoided. Vapor returned to his fighting stance, after dodging to the side to avoid the lasers, waiting for the Heartless to come closer and more in range of his attacks.
As she flipped over the laser attack heading right for her, a hand slipped to her belt and pulled out another Onion Bomb, already ignited. As she threw it, a simple Aero spell made sure all the fumes went in the direction of the Heartless.
The lizard flailed, blinded, as Ashe once again rose her sword. But, right before she was to swing, an idea came to her, and she snapped her fingers, watching as the tail of the beast turned a dull grey colour. Break was successfully cast, and the beast was helpless as it slowly turned into stone. However, it could still move, at least for a bot, and Ashe barely got grazed. She swiped, injuring the Heartless, then jumped back once more, signaling for Vapor to follwo her.
He stood and watched as Ashe threw a bomb at the Heartless, the fumes of it seemed to blind the enemy. Vapor noticed the beast's tail go a greyish color just before Ashe's signal to follow her. "Right behind you." He started to run over toward Ashe, dodging a few blinded swipes at him from the Lizard.
As he approached Ashe, Vapor heard a few more lasers fired off by the Lizard. He spun on the spot and deflected the away with his daggers. "We should hurry." He said with a slight sense of urgency in his voice, as he deflected away a couple more lasers.
As she stopped, she looked back at the Heartless, whose legs had turned fully grey. With the snap of her fingers, she caused the newly formed rock to shatter, making the Heartless disappear, but not die. With a sigh, she smiled and sheathed her sword, satisfied with the job well done.
"Well, Sir Vapor, I think it would be in our best interest to escape, no?"
The boy stopped next to Ashe and spun the see the large Heartless turning more and more grey over time. But then the rocks shattered and the lizard disappeared with a click of Ashe's fingers. "Couldn't she have done that earlier.." He thought, but that didn't matter now. The Heartless was gone, and he was about to say they should leave before more show up because he was certain they would, but Ashe beat him to it.
"Well, Sir Vapor, I think it would be in our best interest to escape, no?" He heard her say. "Sir?" He thought. That's the first he'd been called that, but he was certainly no Sir. Vapor turned to see Ashe already running off towards the city. He quickly started moving and soon caught up to her. "There's no need for the Sir, you know."
"Forgive me, being a queen tends to do that to one."
She looked back as the sound of rock violently breaking sounded behind her, stopping. With a small nod, she said, "That problem is taken care of. Thank you for your assistance. Though now I'm curious, what brought you out here?"
Her sword went sheathed, and she looked around her, deeming the ravine they had entered safe. She was rather familiar with the Crystal Ravines by now, and ran a hand along one of the crystals.
"Is it for leisure, or something more, Vapor? Forgive me for curiosity, but it's my nature."

"A queen, huh." He thought, "I'll have to ask her.."
He heard the sound of a rock smashing to pieces behind him, and noticed Ashe had stopped, but not before taking another couple steps than her. After stopping, he spun on the spot to face Ashe, who proceeded to ask Vapor the question he was about to ask her. "What brought you out here?"
The boy thought about this for a second, wondering himself why he was actually out there. It took him a few seconds to come up with an answer. "I'm not sure." He said, whilst he looked around him, "For a change of scenery, I guess."
Turning his vision back to Ashe, he continued, "Your turn. What brings a queen out here?"
"I'm searching for something very important to me..."
As she clenched a hand over her heart, she looked to the sky, half expecting to see airships flying over, and the familiar skies of Dalmasca. With a sigh, she looked back at Vapor, her eyes filled with kindness.
"Of course, I wouldn't have made it without my savior. Thank you once again. Now, I think we should return to the town before anything else happens."
