In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Alexandros cocked his eyebrow at Shira's choice on how to interpret his words. He had to admit, though, it was a good idea. No, a great one. Any cell that came into contact with that blade would no longer be able to connect to the other cells of his body. That could be problematic. Maybe he could get her to question her choice of tactics. It was worth a try. He formed a set of claws on his hands. Long, ghastly things they were. "What are you hoping to gain by switching weapons? A change in style? Interesting idea, though I'm afraid it won't do you any good." He smirked with his usual confidence and got into a front stance, holding his swords lightly in front of him. She was in a defensive stance, likely meaning that she wanted as much information on him as she could get. He wasn't going to give her anything useful. He solidified as much of his hands as he could without immobilizing himself, knowing that solid parts of him wouldn't be affected as strongly. He ran forward and let himself wobble left, then right, then left, as if he couldn't keep his balance. He figured that wouldn't throw her off, but it was worth a try. He dove to her left and held his left hand up as a defense, striking at her leg with his right. He turned his dive into a roll and got up quickly, turning to face her as soon as he was up. Tendrils began to move all over his arms and across his shoulders. He was starting to finally get a little serious.
Shira ignored Alexandros words, as she looked at the cutlass in her hand for a mere second. She then gave the man a smile, and chuckling said. "Well then...I'll just have to see for myself if your words are true, afterall you never know...an idea can lead to an excellent victory." The girl then jumped as the man dove towards the left of her, dodging his attack. She then landed smoothly on the ground, and jumping forward flipped over Alexandros's head. As she did this, she quickly stuck out her blade cutting a small part of his right shoulder. "Now for the results.' she thought, she did a small somersault as she hit the ground and turning quickly to face her opponent waited to see if her theory was correct. She then straightened up, and letting out a short sigh just looked at the man with blank eye's. Which was never a good sign, whenever Shira did that it only meant one thing...that she was bored. "You know...I'm beginning to think this fight is a waste of my time...." she said coldly, "I thought I would have to use half of my strength against you...but now I'm finding that unessary."
After hearing what Shira said, he knew that it would take more than words to shake her confidence in her new plan; it would take some trickery. He watched her jump over him shortly after he got up and he kept his eyes on that blade. He had to be able to predict where it would hit so he could do something about it. He watched the blade approach his shoulder and did his best to time his trick. As the blade was about to make contact, he split his shoulder so that the blade wouldn't make contact. He did well, but it still made slight contact. The metal that had been hit appeared to bleed out and drip to the ground. He turned around to face her. She seemed bored. So am I, he admitted to himself. Then, she spoke her concerns (about the fight, at least).
"You know...I'm beginning to think this fight is a waste of my time...." she said coldly, "I thought I would have to use half of my strength against you...but now I'm finding that unessary."
Alexandros smiled wickedly at Shira. "So, you're bored, huh? I have a question for you, then. How bad are you willing to get hurt for a good fight? Because I'm not going to fight at my best unless I'm sure that you're willing to take it." The tendrils on his arms and shoulders began moving erratically. He knew that feeling. They wanted a fight, but that wasn't all; they wanted to draw some blood, but he didn't want that. He was going to give them a fight if Shira would have it, but he wasn't quite sure about this.
As Shira examined Alexandros, she noticed that the part the cutlass had made contact with on the man's skin was beginning to bleed. 'So I was right...' she thought to herself. She was happy that her theory was correct, but she made no distinction of it on her face. She then listened to the man's words, and looking at her blade thought about what he said. She wasn't afraid to get hurt, that was only natural in a battle; especially the one's she fought. No. There was something that just...didn't seem right. Just what was it that she was feeling? It felt so familiar yet strange...suddenly a thought passed through her head, and at that point knew instantly what the feeling was...lust...for blood.
She narrowed her eye's, and feeling a slight headache form around her mind backed up a bit, her hand raised to her head. She closed her eye's and fighting back the pressure she felt in her head grinded her teeth. That feeling...was trying to posses her! She shook her head, and feeling her headache slowly fade away looked back up at Alexandros. She shook her head once again, and giving the man a blank stare said softly. "No..." She then turned around, and keeping quite for a few seconds tilted her head to look back at the man. She then asked, "Why did you write that letter?"
At this the dark persona looked away, letting out a short chuckle. "Was it just all a joke?" Shira, really didn't understand the meaning behind emotions. She didn't think they applied to her, afterall she wasn't really human, just half the soul of one...she never thought she was able to posses them, or even feel them! So why would she have to care now? It all confused the dark persona, but clearing her mind of all these thoughts she waited for Alexandros response, hoping that he was just joking around.
Alexandros waited for her response, but it never came. Instead, she stepped back and seemed to have an intense pain in her head. He took a step forward and his tendrils receded, but she looked at him and said "No..." He wasn't sure what she was talking about, but he stopped. She turned around and looked back at him and finally got to the point of this whole mess. "Why did you write that letter? Was it just all a joke?" she asked him.
The being that had once called himself by the name of death moved silently over to her. He put his hand on her shoulder let his expression go soft, again. "I wrote it because I have chosen to not be a slave to my emotions, and I know from Saxen's memories that resisting emotions is only harmful. I've accepted the fact that I have them and have decided that I will take them into account. But I assure you that this is not a joke. If it were, it would be quite a cruel one. I only wish to help you adjust to not having V around. If that means never mentioning this again, I will resign to that." He took his hand off her shoulder and walked over to where she had dropped Hibiki. He spun it a couple of times, copying the moves he had seen Shira use during the fight. He walked back over to Shira and held her weapon out to her. "If it will make you feel better, you may take out your frustrations on me." By the time he spoke, his faceplate was back and his features neutral.
Shira knocked the scythe out of the man's hands, as he held it up for her. She then brought the cutlass to his neck in a swift motion, and giving him an ice cold glare said in a dark tone. "I don't need your pity...or your help...I can handle myself just fine." At that moment, she then backed away turning around soon after. What was with her? Was she upset? Why? The dark persona grabbed a part of her hair and sighed. She then started to walk away, looking back at Alexandros for only a short second. "I'm sorry..." she said in a softer tone, a look of sadness in her eye's. "But I'm afraid I cannot return...your emotions...afterall I'm a creature who carries none..." The girl then looked up at the sky, and staring blankly at the sun just kept on walking. Her thoughts full of confusing questions.
He just stood there as Shira held the blade up to his neck. She said she didn't need his pity or his help, then she backed away and turned around. She started walking away and looked back for a moment, saying, "I'm sorry...but I'm afraid I cannot return...your emotions...afterall I'm a creature who carries none..."
"I think you're forgetting something. Which one of us has a heart? I am nothing but a mass of cold metal, but you. . . you are a human being. You have emotions. Just look at you. You're angry and upset. Why? You're just lying to yourself. The more you deny that you have emotions the more they're going to hurt you." He walked over to Hibiki and spun it a few more times. "But if this is how you want to live. . . I can't help that." He looked out at Shira as he attached Hibiki to his back. She was just so confused. . . but there was nothing he could do unless she let him.
Shira ignored Alexandros words, as she continued to walk towards the apartment. It was then she whispered silently to herself, "A heart means nothing...when you have only half a soul." Once she finally reached the door to the apartment, Shira went straight to her room. She needed to time to think to herself, why was everything so complicated now? Shira sat at the edge of her bed, and holding her head in her heads just shook her head. "I need to calm down...." she muttered. She then let out a long sigh, and looking back up from her hands said solemnly. "I should probably get back Hibiki..." And with that she got up, and exited her room returning to the area she just was not to long ago.
He was disappointed. That was all there was to it. He could have handled rejection, but this. . . this was different. This was more than that. She was hurting herself. He drew Hibiki off his back and started practicing. He thought back to the fight they had just had to have a good basis for his movements. He knew that he had plenty of time before he had to get back. At this point, he was dreading having to go back, considering they were living in the same apartment. What was it that was bothering him, exactly? Was it the rejection? Was it the sheer fact that she seemed so offended and angry at his note? Was it her insistence that she had no emotions? He lost focus and cut right through his arm, but he quickly healed it and put Hibiki away. It was a combination of the three, he finally decided. He opted to let it all go. He wasn't going to be a slave to his emotions. He had felt them, now he would move on. He started his walk back, faceplate up, but he didn't feel a thing. He was free.
As Shira walked back she saw Alexandros not to far away, Hibiki right on his back. She looked down at the ground, and trying not to think too much about what had happened between them just let out a short sigh. Once she was just in front of him she looked at him in the eye's however she soon looked away afterwards. "...I came to get Hibiki..." she said, a touch of nervousness in her voice. She looked at Alexandros again, but feeling the awkwardness between them closed her eye's. "I guess I'll get it later..." She turned around, and looking at the ground started to walk away.
Alexandros watched as Shira approached him. He couldn't understand how she claimed to have no emotions. She couldn't even look him in the eyes. . . . He couldn't help but blame himself. He shouldn't have done that. She stated that she had come for Hibiki, but turned around and said she'd get it later. He grabbed her shoulder and flipped Hibiki into her hand. "You came for it, you should take it," he stated. He stepped around in front of her and said one last thing before walking back to the apartment. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. Just forget it and move on if it bothers you that much."
Shira said nothing as the man flipped Hibiki into her hands and walked off towards the apartment, her mind twisted in confusion with questions that didn't make anysense to her. Just why was all this happening? Ever since she gained her own body, things have become more difficult for the dark persona. When she was within V's body, she never had to experience any of these problems...but...maybe that was because she had a purpose...now she had nothing. No goal, no plan, nothing to give her a reason to live. She felt hopeless, almost pathetic in a way. She looked up at Alexandros, and running towards him appeared by his side within a matter of seconds. She looked up at him, her voice slightly dark. "I'm sorry... she muttered softly. "I just... at this she stopped, and letting out a sigh got ahead of the man saying "Nevermind..." before running back to the apartment. She opened the door, looking back at the man for only a split second and trying to reason out her thoughts went back to her room. Perhaps she needed more time to think..
