In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Ienzo kept his gaze on her. "Is there anything that you want to do? Are you a scholar? Or a soldier? Or anything of that nature?"
To tell the truth, Ienzo knew nothing of this girl, and perhaps knowing her previous job, he could direct her to a home that would be appropriate. Or... Perhaps he could hire her to join him in his own struggle against the Darkness. It was odd for him to come to that conclusion, but he did need manpower. Things were in motion that were beyond even his control... And he had only himself to blame. It was his job to turn the tides now.
Ariana laughed. A scholar...she wished. She could never concentrate for too long on something, well, dull like studying how the wind moved or so. She still couldn't tell what use the knowledge of those kind of things would be. She frowned thoughtfully with a hand propping up her chin. A soldier, hmm.
"I wouldn't call it that," she hesitated. "But I can fight."
She knew just how ridiculous that sounded. A frail-looking lady with a flower in her hair that could last in an actual battle. She knew what she looked like, like those - what were they called? Oh, yes, hippies.
She unconsciously ran a light hand through her hair and brushed against the flower again. She must've looked weird. Still, there was no better place to keep the aster flower in. Her mother had suggested her bosom, but..no, just no.
(XD No probs, I know everybody has stuffs to attend to.)
Ienzo laughed. It wasn't as evil as he had expected, a quiet chuckle, light and silky. A businessman. He wished he had a mirror at hand. He wanted to see this. To a point, this girl was right. Ienzo collected data from worlds and updated profiles on the people he had met, along with his travels. The only data he refrained from the cards were those on Note, Maya, and a few other select individuals, specifically from Radiant Garden. God forbid they fall into the wrong hands.
"I am... Not a businessman anymore. I used to collect data for the organization I worked under. Now I am traveling, seeing the Worlds. Overall, I'm just enjoying myself." He grinned. "And seeing that you have no goals in this new world, I have an offer to make."
"You are welcome to travel with me. But in order to do so, you must train to fight with your weapons. The Heartless in this area are incredibly strong, some of them even strong enough to look human. And most of them will want to kill or manipulate you."
He felt his pulse quicken. The darkness that flowed beneath his skin felt as though it was burning. Memories of happiness began to fade and worry blossomed. "I said most for a reason. Being a Heartless is not brought upon a person by choice, only force. And some fight against it." Right, Sora? "I don't want to freak you out or anything... But I am an example of that."
Those words were the ones he didn't want to say. But accepting his problem was the first step to recovery, right? Ienzo grimaced, the worry spreading. Note didn't run, but he had smelled it when Ienzo first met him. And he wasn't human. So maybe his feelings were different.
Ariana paid rapt attention to Ienzo's words, wondering business of what sorts could exactly this world do. If people dropped in nonchalantly all the time..well..the economy here had to be really bad. Of course, there were ways to other worlds..it did make her wonder for a moment if she could just knock on one transportation and ask to be taken to her presumably eaten or blown-up world.
She couldn't help feeling a little huffy. Certainly she wasn't that weak nor foolish, she was not built for battle but she definitely was not built for being some kind of damsel in distress stuck at the top of a tower and waving a handkerchief while others fought! She had been capable of dealing with one or two of the animalistic beasts on her own which was somewhat a feat..but she supposed what they were to deal with was on a far wider scale than that.
One eyebrow raised as she wondered if Ienzo was joking, but this was no laughing matter. The creatures had destroyed her home and a quarter of her life after all, and she was more than capable of decimating a single creature that possibly orchestrated the whole event. Staring into his face for a while, she finally leaned back and relaxed.
"There are good humans and bad ones. How do I know that this is not an elaborate scheme of yours?" she said in an almost amused tone. "Even so - or not - I fear I will not be much use," she admitted. For once she felt embarrassed about her very unwieldy for bashing skulls weapon. Did those things have skulls? Cerebral cavity, maybe.
"I am no skilled warrior, and what I can do is probably..limited," she mused. "I am likely to burden you instead of aid."
Ienzo listened, and the answer he was given was expected. Could he be trusted? Was this all just a guile to eat another Heart? His silver eyes drifted into the night sky. This Ariana, he felt that she knew he was at least moderately okay for a person. That was good. Slowly, Ienzo was breaking the stereotype.
"It's hard to explain how the economy runs," he continued. "Would you believe that the Heartless dropped material upon death that we use as currency? Since the Heartless are the one true enemy of mankind, it's understandable that people would value the metals they left behind in almost any society." His eyes drifted back to her. "And I understand that you are not a warrior. But in these worlds you will constantly be apprehended by the creatures. It is best to be somewhere safe or to know how to defend yourself."
Ienzo thought of the events that were rising in the shadows. The Heartless were becoming more powerful every day. The Nobodies were still invisible in the background. Ariana was walking into a dangerous situation. "In the event that you want to travel alone, as many do, I don't doubt that you could afford a ship if you were to collect Munny for a little while."
"As for me, I am headed to Radiant Garden. It is one of the safest Worlds in this area, providing protection from the Darkness. That is most likely where you will find a comfortable home."
Well pshaw. Anyone could get rich here apparently, all they had to do was to destroy these Heartless - although probably easier said than done. These animalistic maniacs were far more intelligent than animals back at home, with their odd behaviors and their impossibly overwhelming numbers. It was like they..well..alright..that was a disturbing image, so Ariana decided to leave that alone. Unless they all could turn humanoid like Ienzo was, that was less likely to make her want to drive a stake through her brain.
How odd, this extremely different Heartless that could easily pass off as a handsome man. He could wander through the streets and not be noticed or suspected at all. She let her gaze linger on him, wondering if she would end up regretting trusting him when she ended up as one of those forsaken creatures.
"It's not that I do not know how to defend myself," she said lightheartedly. Then after a moment's pause, she added dejectedly, "It's just that I'm not very good at it."
It wasn't like she ever had to battle back at home anyway. She nodded attentively - she was sure ships didn't exactly come along everyday to be sold for measly coppers and silvers. Hmm. Radiant Garden. Sounded, uh, Radiant..but apparently it was safe. Typical name, that. "Well," she smiled. "I would like to take a look around town if you were to let me accompany you before you leave.."
One didn't get thrown into an entirely different town every day, after all.
"Thank you. If you were to ever need my aid, I'd be happy and grateful to provide it."
Ienzo nodded. She knew how to fight, that was good. In time, he felt that she would become much better. They all started out small in the beginning anyways. His mind wandered to his data on Sora. It was mind-numbing to think that the Hero of Light's adventures started out with him battling his fellow friends on some island- by the end of that journey, he took Ansem on and won. Humans were miraculous. Their strengths were only limited by their willpower, and some humans had far more willpower than even Ienzo.
"Traverse Town is nice. Despite the fact that it's often covered in snow, the eternal night can be so peaceful at times. You won't find many strong Heartless here- the people who protect this place are very strict about keeping them weak. So perhaps this was the best place for you to land-" His silver eyes closed as he took another sip of his coffee. "This is a chance for a great adventure."
Ariana nodded. Eternal night. That could be depressing at times, though, she supposed. It would be nice and all if you're trying to get some shuteye, but it would definitely throw your internal clock off. The snow was the only strange thing though - it wasn't even near winter, and yet snow fell heavily and draped the streets with their thick white.
She closed her eyes, imagining for a brief instant the whole town and a massive tidal wave of residents taking arms against these Heartless creatures. She smiled and laughed, realizing just how big a mess she had gotten into. An adventure indeed. No doubt she'd be killed in a week, give or take a few days. Slowly she nodded again, suddenly coming to a very, very important thought.
"This place isn't lacking in inns, is it?" she asked, alarmed.
