In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Ienzo sighed. What could he promise? He could promise confusion. Strategy. Strength... He had more than one ace up his sleeve. The silver-eyed Heartless put his hands in his jacket pockets, leaning against the dark stone. He couldn't really explain to her what he was going to do-
"Part of the reason I'm going is to see the sorcerer," he sighed. "He can help me with some of the data I've been collecting. He's been around a while- he's got information that could really help me out." Ienzo stopped fiddling with the lint on the inside of his pocket and lifted his hand to the necklace that hung under his shirt. A small clipping from an olive branch, wrapped in wire. "Plus, if they get that tower then there'll be hell to pay. I can separate them, for sure. Maybe take a few of them on. I can disguise myself." Not going any farther into that. His Heart had to be kept a secret from everybody. It would only make him look bad if he revealed that he had a fragment of a dead world locked away.
He honestly already had an idea of what he could do, and his abilities would let him move throughout the castle a little easier, he had a feeling. Being able to meld into shadows was a definite plus- if he were cornered he could disappear for a bit. And fighting other Heartless, they wouldn't be able to use Light against him. Not to mention his data really helped him understand their powers and how they used him.
When it came to missions, Ienzo hadn't used his own abilities much. He wondered if any of the Dark members knew what they were. Either way, if his cover was blown they'd know now.
"Kairi, I don't think you can get the Keyblade Warriors there fast enough to help. In any case, I don't even know if that would be a good idea. The sorcerer should be able to fight them well enough. I only worry that the Seeker is there. I am no match for Ansem." In the event Ansem did attack him, he'd do his best to disappear. Fortunately, he would be able to render his dark signature nonexistent, so Ansem wouldn't immediately recognize it was him.

"Isn't hell already boiling over?" The princess interjected before shaking her head to dismiss her rudeness, while she paced with anxiety. Worlds has been taken down left and right as it would seem, since her interactions with strangers from unknown worlds grew larger. Hell was already here; the consequences just hadn't been distributed properly.
Hearing her name, her eyes flicked up in acknowledgement then back on the ground. They could do something...anything. Radiant Garden can hold its own for a while; maybe Merlin can go. He's a master wizard in his own right, so surely that could tip the scales in a more favorable measures. Heck if they used light, they can get rid of all of them all together, but that was wishful thinking. She may as well not ask for too much to overwhelm 'fate', 'hope' or whatever.
"Of-course I can't. If I did I wouldn't be here...and Ruold would've bitten far more than what he could've chewed. And why wouldn't it be a good one if I could've? They wouldn't think you've 'mingled' with a wielder and use them against them. If anything they'll think you'll act in their favor, so without you initiating interference...you'd be in the clear. Right?"
Despite how good she could've made it sound, she had no idea where Sora, Riku, or the King was at, and that was the only known keyblade wielders in Kairi's little social catalog.
Where are you guys anways? Come on at least someone....can feel something is wrong...just one person...
She could stare at the clouds all she wanted, but not a word from the outside worlds would whisper back. Instead she recieved a nudge from the stag, who nuzzled her shoulders.
Do what you can...if you can't do more, then so be it...
What was the point....in wielding a blade...when you can't even act? Her self-confidence seems to rise and fall like the waves of the ocean and on-coming tides. Life was becoming cylical as she continued to hit the same problems of limitations. In regards to Yen Sid, she was of no use; if she go there now, she would just cause more mayhem. Just because she was able to fend herself from one doesn't mean she should blindly think she can take on many at once. It's been decided.
"So....you're going anyways?" In a way her voice sounded defeated, and she couldn't find herself to look him in the eyes, those distant unreadable steely silver grey eyes, "just...don't take too long to meet me...when the coast is clear of-course."
Ienzo paused. Kairi's tone caught him off-guard. She was exasperated over this? He felt an odd sensation in his chest- sorrow? Why would he feel that? Stupid, stupid Heartless...
Just...don't take too long to meet me...when the coast is clear of-course.
He felt his breath constrict as he realized what he was feeling. He was feeling shame. That tone- he didn't understand it, but he understood well enough that the Keyblader didn't want him to go. And he wasn't happy about disappointing her. The Heartless didn't battle over the emotion; the shame didn't matter. What did matter was the fact that Ienzo was feeling that. This wasn't the deal he'd set for himself. He was supposed to be able to stay neutral- he wasn't supposed to feel this way. Like he felt with Note or Maya... Or when he first found Elaeus again.
He pushed the wall up the best he could, the shame now more focused on his own lack of control than the disappointment he was pushing on a person who had lent him enough trust not to kill him. His iron eyes stared down the front of his jacket, his dark hair scattered around his face. She wanted to see him after it was over. It was probably better for her to be here, so Ienzo could understand her frustration. "I-" He paused. What did he want to say? "I appreciate your sentiment, but really, someone has to get there and help out the old man, right?" His cheeky attitude lit up a bit and the Heartless felt a sense of comfort with the humor he normally fitted himself. "And you can send your people my way if you can find them, so you're actually pretty helpful." Honestly, Ienzo didn't know how to comfort her. That wasn't something he'd ever done for anybody like her. Welcoming worldless vagabonds in Traverse Town didn't really require any actual emotion, just a little helpful nature. And actual emotion, at least the good kind, wasn't a Heartless' forte.
"Hey! If, no- WHEN I make it back, I don't mind helping you get stronger so next time your Keyblade friends rev up their ships you can head out with them." He gave a grin. "If you're cool with training near a Heartless." He grinned at the thought of her friends' reactions to that, a small, dark piece of humor that he could appreciate in a perilous time, but his thoughts soon turned back to the near future.
The schemer was wondering what he could do now. The thought of the battle to come terrified him, he admitted it without difficulty. He wanted to stall as much as possible, to avoid the mission that he had assigned himself. This was his chance to get back at Ansem, to foil the man's plans- it was a big mission. He might not have another shot, not one this clear.
Yet- he was comfortable here. With a Keyblader and a stag of burning Light. Than on the battlefield where the Seeker could appear at any moment.

Her pacing had ceased once accepting there wasn't much she could do, so thoughts of help no longer bubbled her mind. Instead, she was stand still and was forced to play the waiting game like she had before. One would thing she would've gone paced all of that
Funny how he said the Sorcerer was strong enough to fend for himself, but he was still anxious to step into the fray and oppose his own. She forced a smile taking note that he was trying to lift the mood, but for some reason she knew she wouldn't reach anyone. It would be too good to be true, a random miracle. And she doubted a miracle would bend to her call when there were so many who had pleaded the same when their worlds descended to darkness. She'll just have to bear the loses that present themselves to her; as long as she kept moving forward all should be fine. Right?
She found her gazed glaze over for staring at the floor too long without much focus on anything particular. She was drowning in her own thought guilt, helplessness, and remorse. Her ears caught the hesitation and self-corrections. It seemed he was just as unsure of the events than she was. Lifting her head, she smiled up at him even with her eyes.
"Then that's means you have to come back in once piece," she playfully nudged him, "don't want to make it any easier for me right? So the sooner you go, the sooner you can come back, and the less time you're there, the better you'll be. Kay?"
"Come on Comet...let's head home; no need to lure more trouble roaming about here," her hand reached out to pet the stag before turning back to Ienzo, "So get going before I change my mind, because once I make up my mind there's no turning back."
The wielder playfully threatened, while just standing there to see him off.
Ienzo took a breath as she turned away, wishing he had something cool to say before he plunged into the future. Honestly, he'd never considered himself the type- and had a feeling that even if he had a heroic line, he'd avoid it. Seemed so typical to charge headfirst into battle with some vague, pompous line read out of a children's book...
But he did know what he wanted to say. She turned around with that empty threat and the Heartless grinned. "Stay safe- no more playing with losers," he said before he threw his arms out, the Darkness blossoming from the ground. If she was kidnapped before he got back then training wouldn't be much fun, no? His eyes laughed even if he couldn't manage one himself and he swallowed his nervousness. He had a sword. He had his hands. He could fight them off with either.
The Dark being faded from existence as his being was pulled into shadow like no other creature could. The master of shadows felt his essence spread infinitesimally thin as the Darkness closed the gateway behind him and Ienzo felt his body enter Darkness in Zero. He forced himself to look forward, wherever forward was as long as Radiant Garden was in the opposite direction, and he began his journey towards the beginning of the end.

"Hm," she smiled at him, while the darkness swallowed him to the point she couldn't see him anymore. When he was out of sight and the corridor sealed, her face dropped from the mask it wore. Her eyes felt like they were so full, and they eventually hit their brink as a tear shimmered free like a lost world falling from the sky.
"He's not coming back....is he?" Kairi asked silently out of the open. The stag hummed lowly.
You know he wants to come back..., his head wiggled under her arm for a carress before guiding her back to town where Tron's security was active.
