In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.
A special thank you to ChasingArtwork of Deviantart, who allowed us to use this stellar banner image.
There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.
The icons you see across the site are from FontAwesome, an amazing icon library.
All images on this site belong to their respective owners or creators. Kingdom Hearts: World Destiny does not claim ownership of anything except our unique story.
All Original characters are the intellectual property of their respective RPers. Do not steal any characters or other creative works.
All Canon Characters belong to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix and Disney.
You may still work on a WIP character, but some of the information may look a little different. The rosters are currently closed. Once the Activity Check is cleared, a new Character Profile type will be made available, and all active characters must adhere to that.
Thank you for your patience!

The Title
Character Application Titles have recently been adjusted. They should now look like:
CHARACTER NAME (HOME WORLD). For Sora this would be: SORA (DESTINY ISLANDS).
If the character is a work-in-progress, make sure to leave [WIP] in the title. This lets the staff know to wait before they review your profile. WIP profiles have 2 weeks to work on their profile before they are rejected.
The Character Template:
Your very first character profile is your first and biggest impression on this site. It is very important that you show some literary skills and an understanding of the Kingdom Hearts universe. While we wish to open our doors to all and give everyone a chance, our threshold is intermediate to advanced.
Effort displays a key Role-Play ethic that moves threads along and creates engaging plots. We will always encourage going the extra distance to put as much thought and care into the creation of a character as you can. Think ahead of time about future growth, development, and relations with other characters that you may need to include in this profile.
We request you create paragraph spaces, review your use of grammar and run your profile through a spell check before you post it. It will help us in the long run and speed up the acceptance process.
Every section with the markers [ b ] [ /b ] will be what you need to fill in. Information for the section expectations is added right in. If you still have questions, feel free to ask a Staff member. It's what we're here for.
Please add one space between each paragraph and between each section expectation. You may always add more sections if you would like, but if you take any away the profile will be considered unfinished.
If your character gets placed in the Rejected section for any reason, you may always fix the issues and re-submit the character once the necessary adjustments have been made.
The Code
ORIGINAL or CANON: This means whether they appear in a KH, Final Fantasy or Disney game (Canon) Or they are your own creation (Original).
Face claim’s name: (Optional.)
What was the inspiration for them / do they embody a particular feeling or emotion? This section is what makes up the core of your character. It is what drives them or the archetype that they are supposed to represent. It's the theme that their personal storyline should follow, and while the tone of it can change over time it will always bear some sort of weight. If it does change, it should be the result of some major, dramatic shift in their lives.
Name:
Nickname:
Age: Please do not create characters under the human equivalent of 10.
Gender: This can refer to the gender they identify with, not just what they’re born with.
Species: This refers to the species they are on their world. Human, Rabbit, something of your own invention.
Things you cannot create: Angels / Demons Strictly in a religious or spiritual sense. Races resembling these (EG. humans with feathered wings, or horns and bat wings, spiked tails) are permissible.
Characters that make no sense for their world Girls with slapped-on cat ears while nothing in the planet history can back up the feline trait are not likely to get accepted. Anthromorphic races are much more appealing when described in a (concise!) manner that displays thought and effort. (TL;DR: We will accept humanoid-beast crosses, but please explain them. A Neko hailing from Earth naturally simply wouldn't happen. If you want to play a Neko with a planet supporting that species, one might look into making said character hail from Eorzea from Final Fantasy XIV.)
Being Type: (Somebody, Heartless, Nobody.) Creation is available, but very restricted for: - Human form Nobodies - Human form Heartless
Humanoid Nobodies and Heartless must have had exceptionally strong hearts in their Somebody forms, and relaying that will be no easy feat. However, we will review all applications on a case-by-case basis.
Unsure if your character fits into one of these categories? Feel free to contact any staff member with questions.
Position: (Good, neutral, evil?) For information on the nine general classifications, see: http://easydamus.com/alignment.html#theninealignments.
Part of any organizations, groups, gangs, etc.?
Current Primary Objective: Everybody's got a goal in life. What is most important for your character to achieve right now?
Learning type: (More on those here: https://www.education.com/reference/article/learning-modalities/ )
Home World:
Passive: This is your character's elemental alignment. You may choose one. If you want to be a Darkness user, your character cannot have a Light based passive.
Please see the passive list here: http://worlddestiny.proboards.com/thread/17989/passives-march-26-2016
Weapon: Be fair when choosing weapons. Describe the appearance, how the weapon is used in combat and any special abilities it possesses.
- Keyblades: If it isn’t in the canon, you cannot start with one unless you as the RPer have been granted one from someone who’s won a Keyblade Contest or win one for yourself. Please do not ask for one. The staff may award a member with them periodically as the site plot requires, but never because someone just asked for one.
Appearance: Explain your character with detail. Describe distinguishing features (such as piercings, tattoos, scars, etc.). Other things you can describe are: clothing they wear on a daily basis and if they ever change their wardrobe, hair color and style, eye color, facial features, body type, height and weight, etc. Paint an image for us in words, even if you provide a picture. You must describe your character in paragraph form; do not use a list.
Personality: Explain the method to your character’s line of thinking. What events from your character’s past have helped to shape or define your character’s personality? Have they picked up any odd or fun quirks because of their past?
Some questions to consider addressing: - What are your character’s motivations/objectives/desires? Fears/weaknesses/concerns? - What are their preferences, interests, quirks, hobbies, talents, secrets? - What type of person is he/she? (Organized? Messy? Patient? Quick-tempered?) - How does he/she work in a group, and/or react to hazardous situations or obstacles? (This will occur enough times with Heartless and Nobodies running amuck.)
Keep in mind the character’s history. Their background will be a major influence on who they are. If the Personality and History sections aren’t in sync, we may ask you to edit, depending on how the two work together.
This does not imply that if bad things have happened to your character they have to become a negative nancy! As an example: maybe they've lost just enough in life that their patience is wearing thin and has been replaced by a sharp sense of competition?
Natural Affinities/Abilities/Skills: This section is notorious for requiring the most modifications in order to be acceptable. It is a balance between bestowing your character with cool abilities and keeping said abilities reasonable.
A character may start with only 3 total abilities. These may vary on a case-by-case basis (someone applying for Sora might be able to unlock more), but don't expect to be the exception. If you are applying for a character that you really think needs more than 3 spells to start with, please contact a staff member.
Characters who are returning from the previous (One Sky) site may have their already-obtained spells grandfathered in, but still need to make edits where the character profile section has changed. (No need to repost for re-acceptance; if we accepted you already, we trust you.)
The character may only start out with proficiency over one element to begin with, and if you’re listing spells in your abilities, they must be pure elemental spells. For instance, if your character knows Fire magic they may create a wall of pure fire. They may not create a wall of poison-fire, electric fire, frost-fire or any other kind of fire.
Give this area thought! Many things must be taken into account. Skill level should be in a believable relation to the age of the character, training, upbringing, body build, ect. The nature of the powers themselves should make sense with the species of the character, and the world they hail from.
We do not allow over-powered characters without a good reason. (This applies to individual traits, too, such as strength and speed, as well as overall power.)
If you’re a human, most likely you cannot fly 100 miles per hour, control all darkness and shoot lasers from your eyes. That’s. . . just not possible.
You don’t just start out with Blizzaga at age 15. Sora had to go through the first 2-4 worlds before he even got Cure (Not Curaga, Cure.) The older your character becomes, and the better background you have, the higher level abilities you can have.
Give detailed descriptions of all of your characters powers, abilities, and skills. Limit breaks and magic from the KH or FF universe such as Fire and Holy could be accepted, but we're really looking to make sure you'll be able to play well with others.
Limitations/Drawbacks: Every good character has a flaw. Sometimes it’s physical, sometimes it’s mental. Sometimes it’s magical. If it’s all, hey, that’s good too!
What is the range of each spell? When can they use it and when can they not? How long does it take, how much of a post cooldown does it require, does performing the action cause mild dizziness/other vulnerability? Be creative with restrictions and consequences to counterbalance your powers. Even the oldest and wisest of characters will have a few. If you have OOC (Out of Character) limits (for example, post durations or ‘only usable twice per thread’ rules), you must also have IC (In Character) reasons (for example, the weapon of choice cannot shoot consecutively, or character will die of fatigue if he/she exerts too much energy).
The staff will be strict here, but please listen to their advice with good grace.
History: Make sure to cover key events in your character’s life. Describe relationships. Explain the events in your character’s life that have made them who they are.
At the very least, these questions must be indirectly answered at some point in the History: - Where is your character from? - What are some relationships your character has already experienced? With family, authorities, friends, mentors, pets, lovers, ect. - How was your character educated in the skills you listed in the abilities section? They cannot be natural-born experts. That which is frowned upon in a character's history: - Canon Characters without the RPer's explicit permission. - Unexplained Amnesia. If it's explained, fine. Just don't leave us guessing. - Unexplained mysterious figures or voices with generous tendencies. You don't have the Organization XIII in your bedroom closet giving you magic swords. - Manifestations of godly figures.
Role Playing Sample: Show us a sample of your Role-Playing using your character. Express your character to the best of your ability. This is your time to shine! Remember to:
- Write in paragraph style and - Write in Third Person Past Tense. This means 'he went to the Clock Tower', not 'he goes to the Clock Tower'. The only time First Person should be used is if we're reading a journal entry or a thought. First Person is only acceptable in such a situation as: "Sora looked up to the stars. _I wonder what happened to the stars?_ He thought."
If you need more clarification on something, ask a staff member.
If stumped, here are some possible ideas for the sample. Feel free to use these, combine these, or do something completely different:
- Your character's Awakening. - First post in Twilight Town - An event in their life (depicting where they were during the destruction of their original world is a common one). - A memory or a dream.
After you post your final profile, please add a tracker below your character profile.
Though it goes by several different names, a Tracker is intended to give your character a timeline. An updated Tracker of your character's journey will help other RPers know your story, and how best to jump into an RP with you.
While we're pretty lax about what exactly needs to be in a character tracker, we've got some general ideas that will help you in the long run:
For each thread your character is in: Who they were with? What happened? Where? When did it take place on your character's timeline? Why? What is the significance of what happened in that thread? It doesn't have to be incredibly deep, but if something your character deems significant happened, make sure to make note of it!
You may keep track of your threads however you so choose. My tracker is not required. But because I'm nice, I made a general tracker template you may also use if you so choose. Whether or not you use it to keep track of your journal information or you keep track of your journal info in another way is up to you.
